Learning to lock in profits using 50% sell rule using stop loss . At the end of each trading day set stop loss at 50% between the low and high of the day for next trading day and continue this  daily till your stop gets hit . If run should continue after getting hit then jump back in but protect that profit you just gained with tight stop losses. But most of the time when a stop gets hit using this 50% sell rule the run is over.
Chart Att. shows example of 50% sell rule, Hope I explained it ok. Learned this rule from another source explaining how to lock in your profits during a run on a stock.
Hope this has been helpful to some still learning the tricks of the trade

Last time I posted a chart on SRSR I gave an example of using 50% sell rule on a stock that continues making higher highs and higher lows to lock in profits and the next day after showing example the 50 % sell rule would have been hit. Since its been trading sideways ,,or consolidation.
Could be setting up for another run. Penny stocks are high risk plays and you should always play these stocks based upon your own DD.
I have no position

Pretty good day but I like to see more volume. Just wondering,,have you got a trading plan for stop loss and your target price.
Looking at your rating I assume you're an experienced trader so I assume again that you know how to protect your gains and take minor losses.
Hope you goodluck with your trading plan.
Keep posting how it worked out.

You still made a profit,,that's what counts. If only we could tell how a stock will run we would have it made.

I wish I had a better idea when to sell a pinkie.  I can pick a chart when to buy a penny stock...selling is the hard part.  I usually sell the next day in the morning when the stock runs up on strength after a break-out and hopefully a gap-up :D.  I need to keep watch on the same stock in the 1 or 2 days to follow...to see if it's worthy to jump back in. ;)

However Wrangler you picked this one well before it was on my radar.  Congrats and keep on posting.

Hi kslifka
Go back thru thread to see example of the 50% sell rule as a stock is moving up and when it gets hit just stay watching it for the next move up if it happens and jump back in but when you jump back in keep close eye with a tight stop to keep from losing the profit you just made.
Also another way to trade it is sell amount of shares it would take to give you your investment back and let your free shares continue the run till your ready to sell.
One good rule I've got is sell on the first red candle after a run and buy back on the first white one. Profit takers will usually eat at a stock for two or three days before it continues its move back up and volume will tell you by how it dries up. If volume continues to run higher with each day while going down then look for it to continue.
JMO again
All traders are differant and each has to find what works best for them.
Goodluck trading

This one came back up on my radar yesterday.  Bought some then  and again today.  I typically don't like pinkies(but considering the bloodbath in the broader markets...pinkies seem to be a safe-haven :D )...but SRSR has some interesting prospects in mining Niobium, uranium and other minerals.

Sarissa Orders Preliminary Independent Geological Assessment Report on Lake Nemegosenda Property
Wednesday February 20, 9:15 am ET

BAY CITY, MI--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 20, 2008 -- Sarissa Resources, Inc. (Other OTC:SRSR.PK - News) Sarissa is pleased to announce the Company has engaged the services of Hawk Exploration Consultants, an independent and highly regarded Toronto-based geological consulting firm to conduct a preliminary assessment report on Sarissa's Lake Nemegosenda carbonatite-hosted niobium property in Northern Ontario.

With existing, historical property data indicating approximately 20 million tons of 0.47% Nb2O5 (non-NI 43-101-compliant: Ontario Geological Survey study 34 by R.P Sage, published in 1987), the purpose of the preliminary assessment report is to evaluate the historical exploration work on the property conducted by Gulf Minerals Canada Limited and include an initial review of the original drill logs. The independent consultants will then make recommendations for future exploration assessment work that may be required in order to allow the company to have an NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate prepared.

Sarissa president Scott Keevil commented, "We are extremely excited to begin the process of re-evaluating this historic deposit. The fact is mines are made, not discovered, and Sarissa is in a position any junior exploration company would be envious of. Hypothetically, we could have gone out and spent 10 years and $10 million to find properties, explore them and possibly outline an economic ore body, and still not have what we already have now. The independent geological consultants will look to evaluate Gulf's historic data as well as look at the potential for additional mineral values, such as uranium, tantalum and Rare Earth Metals which are often associated with carbonatite deposits." He continued, "If it is determined Nemegosenda has additional mineralization, it could be incrementally accretive to the niobium values already there. We anticipate this initial assessment being completed in a 4 to 5 week time frame, at which time we will update shareholders on the outcome."

A qualified person, as defined under NI-43-101, has not yet done sufficient work to comment on the relevance or reliability of this historical estimate. The company is not treating the historical estimate as, nor can the historical estimates be relied upon as, current mineral resources or reserves. Dr. Cam Cheriton, a director of Sarissa, is a "qualified person" within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 and has read and is responsible for the technical information contained in this news release.

About Sarissa Resources

Still hanging on to this one...and bought some more at .009 a few days ago.  If it can get past .012....015 shouldn't be too far behind.

SRSR.pk still moving.  Looking great today with higher volume coming in. ;)

I'm suspecting news regarding their geological report of one of their mining properties...and by looking at the chart...possibly this week. :)

I tried to sell some right at the open...but no takers.  That is the problem with pennies sometimes.  I'm thinking some news should be out in the next couple of days.
