To me too, excelent pick, as usual.

Your interview was amazing eliteG, I enjoyed it a lot (it was a pity they just published a tiny part of our responses).

I'm sure you have saved all your answers, could you please send them to me by e-mail? I'm very interested.

Good luck with this pick and good work for your book  ;)

thx a lot David  ;D

I really haven't gotten a chance to go in-depth into the traders profiles.  I am curious as to what you thought was amazing? (I am trying to make sense of my translation)

I'll send you the responses.  Will be great to read yours too.  ;)

The book, yes this will go in.. lol  :)

Well, you couldn't understand mine and I can't translate it, it is so damn big. Anyway, they published only the «sensationalist» parts so I was a bit upset (nothing about my strategy). But my mom was very proud  :-*

Well, amazing perhaps is a strong word (I'm still getting used to adjectives), amazing is like fantastic, spectacular, right? Ok, your interview was amazing all right  ;)

There was a guy in the newspaper that only traded portuguese, spanish and french stocks (Euronext exchange) and he was very sad and quiting the business ... that man needs to know the US is the place to trade stocks. You can't imagine how a man must fight to get a dime out of those slow moving stocks in smaller european exchanges, only in a very strong bull market.

Looking forward to read your interview. Do you mind we publish it on 3SF? (no problem if you don't want to, there were very intimate questions on that interview)

sent it to you  ;)  yea I guess it would be ok to publish it  :)

I worked on your translation now X-p and man..that is quite a story...wow!  I know it would make for a great read(the whole response)  ;)

I didn'y realize it was so difficult in the european markets.  I'm glad you are trading here  ;D

hehe, X-Peculator was a very known nickname in the late nineties and early 2000 in my home country. Stocks went up just because I said they would. Then the exchange canceled stocks because they were limit up (limit was 15% variation, can you imagine that?) and I was always afraid I would get a call from our SEC to stop recommending stocks  ;D (but they never called, thank God !)

How did you translate? With an automatic translator? That is no good thing, my wife is a translator but that doesn't seem to help with my english, does it?  ::)

When the bear market began there was nothing going up ... and after 2001, not up, and not down. Liquidity went away. I used to trade stock futures but the spreads got so widen that I had to give up ... that's when I went trading the DAX futures, and I still trade them today. It is a very, very hard game, volatility is much bigger than in the SPX or NDX futures, and the tick value is higher too.

oopps, I got go pick up my wife, I'll read your interview over the weekend, wish you good trades  :D

Premarket Movers: Epix Climbs on Deal
Tuesday December 12, 9:19 am ET
Epix Climbs in Premarket on Drug Collaboration Deal With GlaxoSmithKline; Comverse Slips

NEW YORK (AP) -- Varied company news including takeover plans, a new product launch and slowing sales fueled electronic premarket trading Tuesday.
Shares of Epix Pharmaceuticals Inc. soared $2.94, or 53 percent, to $8.46 in premarket trading after the biotech drug developer announced a partnership with British drug maker GlaxoSmithKline PLC.

Under the agreement, Epix will get an upfront payment of $35 million to help develop drugs based on four proteins for a variety of diseases. The collaboration also includes Epix's experimental Alzheimer's disease treatment.

Epix could make up to $1.2 billion in milestone payments from the deal, on top of royalties and other rights. Shares of Epix closed at $5.52 Monday on the Nasdaq.

Valera Pharmaceuticals Inc. added $2.37, or 44 percent, to $7.78 in the early session after Indevus Pharmaceuticals Inc. said it plans to acquire Valera through a stock swap valued at $120 million, plus potential contingent payments.

Shares of Valera surpassed the deal price of $7.75 after closing at $5.41 Monday on the Nasdaq. Indevus shares shed 37 cents, or 5 percent, to $7.49 in premarket trading after closing at $7.86 Monday on the Nasdaq.

Mamma.com Inc. shares added 53 cents, or 22.4 percent, to $2.90 in premarket trading after the search engine operator said it launched a new video search engine, which makes the company a player in the popular and competitive Internet field.

Mamma is a metasearch engine, and aggregates results from a variety of sources, including other search engines like rival Google.com. Unlike Google's video site, Mamma's video search returns a list of video clips that can be narrowed down by source or type of video, and then sends users to that site to watch.

Shares of Mamma closed at $2.37 Monday on the Nasdaq.

On the losing side, Endwave Corp. tumbled $1.79, or 14 percent, to $11 after the maker of wireless communication components warned its 2006 revenue will fall below its prior guidance after the bell Monday.

The company said it now expects fourth-quarter revenue between $10 million and $12 million, which would imply sales growth of about 20 percent to 25 percent for 2006. This is below the 35 percent annual growth rate the company guided for previously.

Endwave said the decline would be temporary.

Nokia Corp., which is one of Endwave's customers, recently said it plans to reduce inventory more than previously expected, in a move related to a joint venture with Siemens AG.

Shares of Endwave closed at $12.79 Monday on the Nasdaq.

And Comverse Technology Inc. declined 71 cents, or 3.6 percent, to $19.05 in premarket trading on slowing demand trends, though the voicemail software maker reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter sales Monday.

RBC Capital Markets analyst Daniel Meron in a client note said the company's third-quarter backlog was weaker than expected, which points to decelerating momentum for the company. He kept a "Sector Perform" rating on shares.

"As we indicated before, we see flattening growth on weaker carrier spending, industry consolidation and possible distractions from internal reviews," wrote Meron.

Comverse did not file a full third-quarter report due to an ongoing review of past stock option grant practices. The company said sales rose 37 percent to $410.6 million from the year-ago period.

"Epix could make up to $1.2 billion in milestone payments from the deal, on top of royalties and other rights. Shares of Epix closed at $5.52 Monday on the Nasdaq."

:o

Could be a pretty big time deal for a company with a market cap of only about $230 million, even with shares up 43% today.  Should be interesting to see how things shake up  around here.

EPIX Shares Soar After Positive
Ph IIa Trial of PRX-03140 for Alzheimer's
Shares of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (EPIX) soared on Tuesday after
it announced top-line results from a Phase IIa clinical trial of its novel
5-HT4 agonist, PRX-03140, in patients with Alzheimer's disease. The
results show that patients receiving 150 mg of PRX-03140 orally once
daily as monotherapy achieved a mean 5.7 point improvement on the
Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale cognitive subscale (ADAS-cog)
versus a 0.2 point worsening in patients on placebo. Patients on a 50
mg dose of PRX-03140 showed a 1.1 point improvement on the ADAScog.
The onset of benefit of PRX-03140 in Alzheimer's patients was
observed within two weeks. The Company has a strategic collaboration
with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to develop PRX-03140. As monotherapy
and in combination with GSK's Aricept(R)(donepezil), PRX-03140 appeared
to be well-tolerated with no serious drug-related adverse events.
Serge Gauthier, M.D., Director of the Alzheimer's Disease Research
Unit at McGill University, stated, "Findings like these data are not only
encouraging and compelling, they appear to represent a step forward
in our ability to understand and combat the effects of Alzheimer's. I look
forward to the next clinical trial of PRX-03140 as the development of
this drug could be an important advance toward effective Alzheimer's
treatment." PRX-03140 has been shown to have a novel mechanism of
action that differentiates it from current Alzheimer's therapies. It selectively
activates the 5-HT4 receptor in the brain. Activation of 5-HT4 not
only stimulates the production/release of acetylcholine, which may improve
cognitive symptoms of Alzheimer's, but also stimulates the alpha
secretase pathway, potentially slowing disease progression. EPIX has
a pipeline of internally-discovered drug candidates currently in clinical
development to treat diseases of the central nervous system and lung
conditions. The Company has completed a Phase 3 clinical trial of PRX-
00023 in generalized anxiety disorder in September 2006 and initiated
a Phase 2b clinical trial in major depressive disorder in March 2007.
Another clinical-stage drug candidate, PRX-08066, is being developed
for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease, which recently completed a Phase 2a trial. PRX-
07034 has completed a Phase 1b trial and is in clinical development
for the treatment of obesity and also cognitive impairment associated
with Alzheimer's disease or schizophrenia. EPIX also has collaborations
with Amgen, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics, and Bayer
Schering Pharma AG, Germany. Michael G. Kauffman, M.D., Ph.D.,
chief executive officer of EPIX Pharmaceuticals stated, "While we recognize
that this is a two-week study on a relatively small population of
patients, these statistically significant results, as well as the anecdotal
reports we have received from study investigators and patients' families
since the trial concluded, support our belief that PRX-03140 has the
potential to improve memory and cognition. We look forward to initiating
a larger Phase 2b clinical trial early next year to further explore the
potential of PRX-03140."
