Title: The so called President...Impeach him now !
Post by: setravis on April 08, 2011, 05:17:48 PM
Here's The Real Reason Obama Will Lose In 2012

Predicting that Obama will be a one-term president is easy: Americans vote their pocketbooks.

There is nothing remotely ideological or personal in my prediction that President Obama will lose the 2012 election. Both parties are equally out of touch with reality in my view, and both support the same things: a global Empire, an increasingly intrusive Savior State, a shadow banking system which is no longer under the control of State institutions (rather, the banks control the institutions), and various crony-capitalist cartels which fund political campaigns and partner with the Central State's bloated, unaccountable fiefdoms. The only visible difference between the two parties is slight variations in the relative growth rates of the most-favored cartels and fiefdoms.

President Obama seems like a nice guy. Many people said the same thing about George W. Bush. While a likeable personality is a plus in a media-obsessed society, American elections boil down to this: Americans vote their pocketbook, and their pocketbooks will be a lot lighter by November 2012.

President Obama has several key flaws which have doomed his presidency.

1. His leadership style is one of consensus and compromise. This works OK in a caretaker setting in which there are no crises and no demands for bold changes of course. Unfortunately, this era is defined by structural crises, and a leadership based on gaining consensus and compromise is basically a rudderless one in this environment.

2. He does not understand economics or finance, nor is he secure about making decisions on financial topics. As a result he deferred to the "experts," who just happened to be Wall Street cronies and insiders who easily swayed the President with their hobgoblin stories of financial meltdown and ruin if we didn't "save the banking sector from losses."

3. His grasp of history is poor. The same can be said of most presidents, but Obama failed to grasp the historic opportunity to set a new sustainable course for the nation's banking and financial sectors, and thus for its economy. He opted instead to save and protect the corrupt and embezzlement-based banking sector from losses, and he continues to do so with "extend and pretend" policies.

In a similar fashion, he has allowed the National Security State and the Global Empire to expand without any limitations.

4. He has no visible core beliefs beyond a vague sense that the Federal government and its extension, the American Empire, are forces for good. His policies can be boiled down to: support and expand the Savior State and its many fiefdoms, support and expand the Global Empire and National Security State, and allow the banking system and its Power Elites to set the agenda and control the oversight agencies and institutions.

His signature accomplishment, the "Obama-care reform" of the nation's sickcare system, simply extends the power of existing cartels and fiefdoms and delivers an ever-larger slice of the national income to their coffers. In its basic parameters, the "reform" could easily have been supported and passed by socially liberal Republican presidents such as Richard Nixon. There is nothing remotely progressive or radical about "pooling" insurance cartels and wet-paper-bag bureaucratic tests of "the most effective treatments."

These are simply technocratic layers added to a bloated, corrupt, venal and destructive system that already costs twice as much as those of our advanced-economy competitors.

In addition to these flaws, he has made fatal policy errors which doom the economy to implosion by November 2012. All of his administration's policies can be distilled down to these three points:

1. The banking sector is the most important foundation of the economy. The Central State and its proxy, the Federal Reserve, pumped some $14 trillion (by some measures, $23 trillion) in cash, credit, guarantees and backstops into the banking sector and its cloaked twin, the Shadow banking System.

Meanwhile, little to nothing was done for the cash-strapped consumer or citizenry. Why?

2. The "problem" is lack of credit and "confidence." If the State and Fed flood the banking system with credit and "restore confidence" by goosing the stock market, then people will start borrowing and spending again, and everything will be "fixed."

This presumes demand is strong, and all that's needed is credit for people to satisfy their thirst for more goods and services.

Meanwhile, back in reality, people realized they didn't need a third car, fourth TV, 17th "cute blouse," 23rd pair of shoes, etc., and now that their home is worth less than their mortgage (or their remaining equity is minimal), they can't really afford the luxury travel, boats, etc. they enjoyed when they thought their house would keep rising in value forever and tapping that rising equity was painless.

Demand is slack because everyone who could afford more crap already owns more crap than they need or even want. The percentage of the populace who would like more stuff cannot afford more stuff. Their household incomes and wages are declining, and their expenses for essentials are rising.

The Fed's largesse to banks (free money in unlimited quantities) doesn't reach them; all it does is boost assets held by the top 10%.

3. Boosting the assets of this top 10% (or 20% if you include those who have equity of some sort beyond the $2,500 in their IRA) will cause a "wealth effect" that will "trickle down" to the lower 80% as the top 20% buy more Coach handbags, enjoy fine dining at tony upscale restaurants, etc.

Unfortunately, this may help boost Coach's profit margins, but the vast majority of the "trickle-down" consists of low-paying retail clerks and busboys.

In other words, the "wealth effect" is bogus, a charade deployed to defend the pillaging of the economy via financialization and Fed intervention.

4. Pushing the dollar lower in a "beggar thy neighbor" currency war is the best way to boost the U.S. economy. Apparently no one in the President's team looked at financial history to identify the nations which grew rich and powerful by debasing their currency.

In a perverse blowback to this misguided policy, corporate profits earned overseas were certainly goosed, but so were import prices, one of the reasons (along with the Fed's easy-money quantitative easing) for rising costs to consumers.

If you set out to design a policy that impoverished 80% of the citizenry and channeled a larger share of the national income to the top 10%, then this is precisely the set of policies you would pursue.

Nothing important has been fixed; nothing important has even been addressed. The institutions of governance are captured and corraled by the monied Elites to the point that the government has lost control of its own institutions, which now rule as quasi-independent fiefdoms. The citizenry, bought off on the cheap by stale Bread (rapacious student loans, food stamps which offer the veneer of normalcy, extended unemployment benefits so no angry mobs form, etc.) and dazed and distracted by the Media Circus, keep quiet in their complicity, while the Power Elites revel in the freedoms offered by a caretaker Administration.

If President Obama had fought for fundamental structural reforms and lost, he would still have support. Yes, Congress holds the pursestrings, but let's not forget the President appoints his own staff and advisors, and wields great power via Executive Orders. He could have submitted a 5-page Financial Reform Bill and promised to veto anything else. If the Power Elites watered it down, then he could have vetoed it and gone directly to the public. But he did none of these things.

here is a chart of public and private debt over the past decade, from the St. Louis Federal Reserve. Notice that all the Administration and Congress have done is boost Federal debt to replace the "missing" private debt (missing because incomes are declining, housing equity has crashed and the consumer overborrowed for a decade).

This is mindless Keynesian policy on auto-pilot. As I have reported before, the Federal Government is borrowing and spending some $6 trillion in a mere four years, almost doubling the nation's debt, and all that's been accomplished is the Power Elites' share of the national income has risen and GDP has flatlined.

The structural dislocations and imbalances remain firmly in place; a financial sector dependent on fraud has been "saved," and an economy sick with an addiction to rampant financialization has been given plenty of smack to keep it from going through a desperately needed withdrawal.

The Keynesians have no answer as to when the economy will "recover" without the Central State borrowing 11% of GDP every year to prop up its various cartels and fiefdoms. They have no answer because they have no understanding of the imbalances, the fraud, the financialization or of the feudal partnership of the State and crony-capitalist cartels.

Obama has lost his "progressive" base, because he's done nothing remotely progressive. He has lost the middle because his Administration has overseen their gradual impoverishment at the hands of Financial Power Elites. He has offered them phony facsimiles of reform slicked down with the tiresome "soaring rhetoric" of a con artist so besotted with his own story that he actually believes the BS himself.

He can count on the public-union vote and a few of the State fiefdoms he's enriched and enlarged at the expense of the common good, but as the addict (the economy) goes downhill, slowly destroyed by the ever-larger doses of smack administered by the Fed and the Central State, then the consent of the governed will be irrevocably lost--not just by President Obama, but by the entire Status Quo.

The President is now a candidate hoping to scoop up a cool $1 billion to blow on another long, greasy media blitz, but I would be surprised if he rakes in much from the commoners and serfs straining to keep the wheels of their household finances turning. He will of course collect big bucks from various crony-cartels and contractors who have benefited from his bogus "reforms" and unstinting support of the banking sector, but his true-believer supporters will be thinned down to a few Elites, die-hard Democratic hacks and the delusional by mid-2012.

His opponents may fare little better unless they are willing to tackle the dominance of crony cartels, government fiefdoms and Financial Power Elites whose fat fingers remain firmly on the throat of the fast-expiring nation.

1:24 PM Conference Board Sees 8.5% Unemployment in December 2012
Trouble for Obama?

The Conference Board, a nonprofit business research and advocacy group, released a report today predicting that inflation will remain stubbornly high through 2012, which could stymie President Obama's reelection plans, not to mention the overall economy. The board predicts unemployment will fall to 8.5% in December 2012, just half a percentage point below today's number.

"We expect GDP to grow annually at a disappointing rate of about 2.5 percent between the first quarter of 2011 and fourth quarter of 2012. Meanwhile, we expect productivity to grow at an annual rate of 1 percent. As a result, we can expect employment to grow annually at about 1.5 percent, which implies an average growth of about 160,000 to 170,000 jobs per month."

Obama's reelection prospects could hinge on unemployment data, as no president since FDR has been elected with unemployment over 7.2%, the New York Times reported today.

Recent employment data has resulted in widespread pessimism about employment growth, as economists have been scrambling to lower their employment expectations for tomorrow's May data release.

Economic Memo
Employment Data May Be the Key to the President's Job...

WASHINGTON — No American president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt has won a second term in office when the unemployment rate on Election Day topped 7.2 percent.

Seventeen months before the next election, it is increasingly clear that President Obama must defy that trend to keep his job.

Roughly 9 percent of Americans who want to go to work cannot find an employer. Companies are firing fewer people, but hiring remains anemic. And the vast majority of economic forecasters, including the president's own advisers, predict only modest progress by November 2012.

The latest job numbers, due Friday, are expected to provide new cause for concern. Other indicators suggest the pace of growth is flagging. Weak manufacturing data, a gloomy reading on jobs in advance of Friday's report and a drop in auto sales led the markets to their worst close since August, and those declines carried over into Asia Thursday.

But the grim reality of widespread unemployment is drawing little response from Washington. The Federal Reserve says it is all but tapped out. There is even less reason to expect Congressional action. Both Democrats and Republicans see clear steps to create jobs, but they are trying to walk in opposite directions and are making little progress.

Republicans have set the terms of debate by pressing for large cuts in federal spending, which they say will encourage private investment. Democrats have found themselves battling to minimize and postpone such cuts, which they fear will cause new job losses.

House Republicans told the president that they would not support new spending to spur growth during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday.

"The discussion really focused on the philosophical difference on whether Washington should continue to pump money into the economy or should we provide an incentive for entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow," said Eric Cantor, the majority leader. "The president talked about a need for us to continue to quote-unquote invest from Washington's standpoint, and for a lot of us that's code for more Washington spending, something that we can't afford right now."

The White House, its possibilities constrained by the gridlock, has offered no new grand plans. After agreeing to extend the Bush-era tax cuts and reducing the payroll tax last December, the administration has focused on smaller ideas, like streamlining corporate taxation and increasing American exports to Asia and Latin America.

"It's a very tough predicament," said Jared Bernstein, who until April was economic policy adviser to Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. "Is there any political appetite for something that would resemble another large Keynesian stimulus? Obviously no. You can say that's what we should do and you'd probably be right, but that's pretty academic."

More than 13.7 million Americans were unable to find work in April; most had been seeking jobs for months. Millions more have stopped trying. Their inability to earn money is a personal catastrophe; studies show that the chance of finding new work slips away with time. It is also a strain on their families, charities and public support programs.

The Federal Reserve, the nation's central bank, has the means and the mandate to reduce unemployment by pumping money into the economy.

As financial markets nearly collapsed in 2008, the Fed unleashed a series of unprecedented programs, first to arrest the crisis and then to promote recovery, investing more than $2 trillion. The final installment, a $600 billion bond-buying program, ends in June.

Now, however, the leaders of the central bank say they are reluctant to do more. The Fed's chairman, Ben S. Bernanke, said in April that more money might not increase growth, but there was a growing risk that it would accelerate inflation.

Congress charged the Fed in 1978 with minimizing unemployment and inflation. Those goals, however, are often in conflict, and the Fed has made clear that inflation is its priority. Fed officials argue in part that maintaining slow, steady inflation forms a basis for enduring economic expansion.

Eric S. Rosengren, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, said in a recent interview that the Fed had reached the limits of responsible policy.

"We've done things that are quite unusual. We're using tools that we have less experience with," Mr. Rosengren said. "Most of the criticism has been that we're being too accommodative. That is a concern that we have to put some weight on."

Heather Boushey, senior economist at the Center for American Progress, a liberal research group, said that the Fed was being too cautious about inflation and too callous about joblessness.

"We have a massive unemployment problem in this country right now. It is festering. It's not good for our economy. It's not good for our society. And we have the tools to fix it," she said. "We certainly need to be concerned about what happens down the road, but shouldn't we first be concerned about getting the U.S. economy back on track?"

Ten presidents have stood for re-election since Mr. Roosevelt. In four instances the unemployment rate stood above 6 percent on Election Day. Three presidents lost: Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and George H. W. Bush. But Ronald Reagan won, despite 7.2 percent unemployment in November 1984, because the rate was falling and voters decided he was fixing the problem.

The Obama administration hopes to tell a similar story.

"We have undertaken some of the biggest policy actions to create jobs that any administration has ever done," said Jason Furman, deputy director of the National Economic Council, which advises the president on economic policy. Mr. Furman said that the economy was still benefiting from last year's tax cuts, and from the dollop of federal stimulus spending that Democrats pushed through in 2009.

The White House is pursuing a number of smaller initiatives, like persuading China to buy more American goods and services; increasing business confidence in the health of the economy, to spur new investment; and striking a deal with Republicans to overhaul corporate taxation.

It is also pushing to renew federal financing for transportation projects with an important twist: The six-year plan would be front-loaded so that $50 billion would be spent in the first year.

But Christina Romer, who headed the president's Council of Economic Advisers until fall 2010, said in a recent speech at Washington University in St. Louis that no part of the government was addressing unemployment with sufficient urgency or hope.

"Urgency, because unemployment is a tragedy that should not be tolerated a minute longer," she said. "And hope, because prudent and possible policies could make a crucial difference."

Obama: US economy still facing challenges
Against backdrop of sour jobs report, Obama says US economy still facing challenges

Associated Press, On Friday June 3, 2011, 3:32 pm
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Faced with a dismal new jobs report, President Barack Obama said Friday that the economy faces challenges ahead and "bumps on the road to recovery." But at an event to celebrate the resurgence of the auto industry he made no mention of the dour economic news that threatened to obscure his optimistic message.

Obama's visit to a Chrysler plant in politically important Ohio came after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that employers in May added the fewest jobs in eight months -- a meager 54,000 -- and the unemployment rate inched up to 9.1 percent.

Normally Obama talks about the monthly jobs numbers the day they're released, but he never mentioned them directly Friday -- an omission immediately noted by Republicans who see the economy as Obama's greatest weakness heading into the 2012 campaign.

The president focused instead on the turnaround in the auto industry and how the government has recouped much more money than anticipated from the capital it sunk into Chrysler and General Motors two years ago to save them from collapse.

Recently GM, Chrysler and Ford have been reporting significant increases in sales, although the industry this week reported a falloff in May.

"This industry is back on its feet, repaying its debts, gaining ground," Obama told Chrysler workers. "Because of you we can once again say the best cars in the world are built right here in the U.S. of A."

Republicans were more interested in what the president didn't say. The Republican National Committee wasted no time sending out a press release titled "Noticeable Omission" tweaking Obama for failing to address the jobs numbers.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said it would have been "a little technical to be citing specific economic statistics given the rather informal setting," but that the president had the jobs numbers in mind when he spoke of bumps in the road and the headwinds in the economy. Obama hasn't shied in the past from talking about specific numbers in informal settings.

White House officials say the overall employment trend is moving in the right direction compared to the level of job losses that were occurring a couple years ago, seeking to place this month's poor jobs report in the context of a continuing, if sluggish, recovery.

At the Chrysler plant, Obama patted himself on the back for the auto bailout, unpopular and controversial at the time but now proving a better investment for taxpayers than initially anticipated.

To let automakers fail, Obama said "would have been a brutal and irreversible shock to the entire economy and to the future of millions of Americans. So we refused to let that happen."

Both the Bush and Obama administrations spent $80 billion to bail out General Motors and Chrysler and help guide them through bankruptcy. The Obama administration now says it will recoup more than 80 percent of that -- more than expected -- and Obama defended the bailouts as money well spent.

Chrysler last week announced it would be paying off its remaining loans to the U.S. and Canadian governments ahead of schedule. And late Thursday, Treasury announced a deal to sell its remaining stake in Chrysler to Italian automaker Fiat. That means that of the $12.5 billion that the Treasury Department used to bail out Chrysler, all but about $1.3 billion will be recouped, Treasury said.

At the Chrysler plant before Obama spoke, Rick Shortridge, 53, of Oregon, Ohio, who has worked 28 years for the automaker, said the outlook has changed dramatically since Chrysler went into bankruptcy two years ago.

"I thought my future was going to be saying `do you want fries with that,' " he said, adding he was grateful Obama had stood with the auto industry.

Before addressing the auto workers Obama made time for some retail politics in this battleground state, stopping at Rudy's Hot Dog, a Toledo institution where the president ordered one of their famous chili dogs with mustard, onion and cheese, insisted on paying himself, and shook hands all around. And after his speech he shook hands with workers getting off their shifts, and dropped by a nearby hardware store to buy gardening gloves for Michelle Obama.

The president ignored a shouted question from a reporter about the jobs numbers.

The auto industry resurgence is one of the few positive notes in an economy that had been growing moderately but has now hit a listless patch. Unemployment had been dropping from a high of 10.1 percent in October of 2009. But it now has experienced back-to-back increases.

The industry is also a major employer in presidential battleground states like Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Missouri, all of them important for Obama's re-election prospects in 2012. The industry recovery gives Obama the opportunity to distinguish himself from Republicans who had criticized the government's intervention

Among them was Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who had called for Chrysler and GM to go through bankruptcy without government assistance. Romney on Friday defended his position. "The right process for an enterprise in trouble is not to be given money by the taxpayers in a bailout," he told CBS's "The Early Show."

Bernanke Wants a Weaker Dollar, Buy the Euro: Fund Manager - Jeff Macke

Axel Merk thinks the U.S. dollar is going lower -- and it's the Fed chief's fault.

Axel Merk, currency expert and president of Merk Investments, thinks the U.S. dollar is going lower -- and it's Ben Bernanke's fault.

The United States has a "Fed that wants a lower dollar" Merk says, offering an opinion that everyone except the Fed accepts as fact. The Fed's goal is to attempt to limit the deleterious impact of the greater than 9% unemployment and the hangover caused by the "Great Recession." In contrast the European Union is looking to strangle the weakness out of the system through austerity. This stereotypically Germanic approach is one of the reasons Merk is an unapologetic euro bull.

"In the Eurozone there's a lot of pain ... precisely because we're not printing and spending money over there," he says. Merk also notes that German exports are booming despite weakness elsewhere. It's a point that leads to the question we've been asking on Breakout for weeks: Why on earth would Germany and other thriving Eurozone nations continue to prop up the "cheaters" (as Merk refers to Greece and other laggards)?

"From Germany's point of view they want to keep Greece," at least in part because Germany has Greek debt in its own banking system. Now Merk goes a bit off the beaten path, saying, "if Greece were to leave at some point, while Greece may fall into anarchy, the rest of the Eurozone would get stronger".

If the pain of austerity is good for the EU, the idea of an entire nation descending into anarchy should make the euro the buy of the century. On the other hand if you're bearish the euro because you believe too much pain is a bad thing, well, that's cool with Merk. The reason he likes the euro "is because everybody hates it."

"Hate" may be a strong term with the euro much closer to all-time highs than all-time lows versus the dollar, but Merk has a point. Or he has enough ideas to catalyze an old-school "U.S. vs. the world" debate. We want to know what you think.

This is one of Obama's idiots that has to go...
That 14.5 trillion dollar debt would look a lot smaller if the dollar lost half its value, as Ben and Barry are trying to do. Americans who spent their lifetimes saving for retirement will suffer as these fools squander the nation's treasure!

More Americans Think Economy Will Never Recover
Friday June 3, 2011

The mixed signals regarding the economy's health are taking a toll.

Americans are growing increasingly doubtful about direction of the US economy, according to the latest survey from business-advisory firm AlixPartners.

In fact, an increasing number, some 61 percent, say they don't expect to return to their respective pre-recession lifestyles until the spring of 2014, if ever.

What's worse, a full 10 percent said they expect they will never return to pre-recession spending.

That's a more pessimistic view than last year, when those surveyed expected that they could be back to pre-recession spending levels by the middle of 2013.

"Americans continue to push their expectations for return to a pre-recession 'normal' further and further into the future-close enough for comfort, but far enough away to seem realistic," said Fred Crawford, CEO of AlixPartners. "But as that happens, more and more it seems normal is actually where we are right now."

The latest employment report, which showed that U.S. employers hired far few workers than expected in May, only serves to reinforce these attitudes.

"It's a vicious cycle," Crawford said. "Americans need to see a significant decrease in unemployment to feel confident in the economic recovery, but companies are waiting to see increased demand for their products and services before they begin hiring and making job-creating capital expenditures."

In the latest survey, some 63 percent of Americans said they feel "not good" or "bad" about the state of the US economy, representing a significant increase from May 2010 when only about 49 percent of those polled felt this gloomy.

The survey also found that Americans overwhelmingly expect to delay by at least 12 months major purchases and expenditures such as spending on new cars, home repairs and vacations.

There have already been signs of this in the latest retail sales reports that came out earlier this week from a handful of major retailers.

Overall, sales at stores open at least a year rose 5.0 percent in May, which is below the 5.4 percent increase that Wall Street expected, according to Thomson Reuters data.

While some analysts used a number of excuses, including high gasoline prices, poor weather, and lackluster merchandise, to explain away the disappointing results, the findings of the survey may suggest that consumers are hunkering down amid the uncertainty.

The view was expressed Thursday by Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel, who said that traffic at Target stores slowed in the second half of the month.

"Our guests continue to shop cautiously in light of higher energy costs and inflationary pressures on their household budgets," Steinhafel said, in the company's monthly sales press release.

AlixPartners is by no means the first organization to recognize this growing pessimism.

Goldman Sachs economist Jan Hatzius said the number of consumers who believe they have a chance to bring home more money one year from now is at its lowest level in 25 years, based on his analysis of the University of Michigan and Thomson Reuters consumer sentiment poll.

Obama said "spreading the wealth around is good for everyone"-WRONG! Take a look around the world, FREE Markets are good for everyone. Brazil booming! China booming! India booming! And many others that are now embracing Free Market Capitalism that we enjoyed until Obama. And they're all looking at us wondering when we went insane!

It is quite obvious obama is not qualified to be President !
Good Bye Obama 2012, Nation wide Going Away Party, And I hope the door does hit him in the ass on the way out.
This guy is so far detached from reality it is scary. He always looks like he is drowsy. Like he wishes he was somewhere else(golf). He has got to go. We wont make it through another term. It will take a generation to recover from one term.

Obama is right about one thing...President Reagan never would have tolerated any of this. Reagan, a master politician and communicator, would have cut spending, refused to raise taxes, and gotten the best deal possible WITHOUT scaring the elderly regarding their Social Security income. Reagan had class and morals. President Reagan didn't add 5 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first 3 years in office, so I think Obummer should have to sit there and shut his mouth, and he needs to quit acting like a petulant little child.
Obama has limited cognitive skills and a deep, deep hatred for anyone who he believes is successful or wealthy.

The Imam in Chief is doing his best to weaken and ultimately destroy the USA as a superpower. Running up trillions of dollars in debt is part of his plan of bringing down this country. The Republicans need to stay united in opposition to the first anti-American president.
Well what are you going to do Mr. Affirmative Action Figure in Chief? Draw on your vast experiences as a Senator to convince the public? Nope you're going to whine like a Community Organizer and try to pit people against each other like you've been trained to do by your progressives' buddies.
He is not used to sitting at the adult table. It's just too much for him. Maybe if they let him bring the teleprompter to the table with him, he would be more comfortable.

Its show he's caving...Or they have interrupted his vacation or tee time. What a fool people elected... when your dealing with a child like Obama you have to treat him that way. He doesn't even understand what your talking about anyways. It shows you what a figurehead he really is and if they ever released his grades in college you'd see he was a C- student at best...

This isn't about 'calling your bluff,' this is about calling bullsh*t. It's time to 'eat your peas,' Mr. President. Sit up straight and take this like a man. Your budget was bullsh*t. Your political rhetoric is bullsh*t. This spending is bullsh*t. And now you've stepped in bullsh*t, by threatening to revoke seniors' Social Security "trust fund." How "secure" can it be, when you can revoke it whenever the government busts the budget? How much of a trust fund can it be when you can use it as a political football to advance your left-wing agenda? Is this a game to you? We are talking about human beings here, not pawns on your little chessboard!

The repubs in the house have to stand their ground. It is totally their show.

McConnell says if we don't make a deal, the republicans will get the blame. BULL!

If we keep postponing the inevitable, the crash will happen on the next guys watch. Let the house of cards fall now.
It will only get worse. Bernanke is already talking about some more stimulus. That means making more dollars, either printing or digitizing them but that will just make things worse in the long run.

STAND YOUR GROUND!!!

Now that the petulant child had his hands slapped, then stormed out of the room , I wonder what destruction awaits us after he learned that not everybody is willing to kiss his ring while kneeling at his feet.....
He probably ran to his room, crawled in Mooshell's lap, fetal position and begged to borrow his balls for a day to show the big kids he's not messin round......

Two can play this game, Mr. President. But the Republicans have to be willing to take you on!!!

REPUBLICAN STRATEGY TO WIN THE DEBT CEILING DEBATE

The Republican House PASSES A BILL that states - SHOULD THE DEBT CEILING NOT BE RAISED, THE FOLLOWING WILL BE PAID:

1) Interest & Principal on the National Debt; (calm Wall Street & US creditors)
2) Military Forces & Operations both here and abroad; (so Obama can't open us up to attack)
3) Social Security & Disability Checks; (calm the fears of elderly Americans)
4) Veteran Benefits; (for service to this country, they should be a priority)
5) Medicare Claims. (calm the fears of elderly Americans)

Nothing more needs to be added.

This is put the PRESSURE ON OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS AND PROVIDE THE PERFECT DILEMMA!!!!

-If the Senate, in the hands of the Democrats, rejects it, the American people will know where Democrats stand.
-If the Senate passes it, the President can either sign it or veto it. Signing it, his bluff has been called and Obama is now in a weaker position if the negotiations continue. If President Obama rejects it, he, not only kills the Democrat scare tactic that Republicans want to take elderly people's money away, but it will be he & fellow Democrats that are doing this. The American people will know where the Democrats stand.

IF OBAMA VETOES IT, IT WOULD BE POLITICAL SUICIDE. This would be going into 2012 and the election cycle.

The Republicans could force the President's hand, but do they have the will??? The President IS engaged in a game of Political Chicken. It is time to attack, not retreat. WE THE PEOPLE demand that Republicans give us our country back!!!!!!!

President Sarah Palin
Vice President Michele Bachmann
Go for it Ladies...

Sarah Palin tweets a post-press conference slam on President Obama after he provides an update on the debt-ceiling stalemate:

Obama lies, economy dies. He says "default's catastrophic" then opposes deal to avert it. Nonsense. Gold stars to GOP trying to deal w/this.

It's worth noting, as Molly Ball reported last night, that Michele Bachmann, who appeals to much of the same swath of the GOP electorate that Palin does, has been riding the debt stalemate to great political advantage.

We have a President that can not lead a dog on a rope....... ::)

Boehner rewriting debt limit plan as clock ticks
Because this so called President can't do a damn thing but flap his lips !  >:D

Default fears accompanying Hill stalemate on debt
Default fears abound as lawmakers seem at a loss on how to agree on raising US debt limit

Wednesday July 27, 2011, 8:11 am
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Legislation aimed at keeping the government's bill-paying intact is stuck in neutral, putting Congress, the financial markets and the public on edge less than a week before the deadline for heading off a potentially calamitous default.

House Speaker John Boehner was forced late Tuesday to postpone a floor vote on his plan, which originally had been scheduled for Wednesday, after nonpartisan congressional scorekeepers said the proposal would cut spending less than advertised. He promised to rewrite the measure, but the move means the House can't vote on it until Thursday at the earliest.

Boehner, R-Ohio, needs to do more than pump up the legislation. He needs to shore up his standing with tea party-backed conservatives demanding deeper spending cuts to accompany an almost $1 trillion increase in the government's borrowing cap. Many conservatives already had promised to oppose it.

"We need more drastic cuts," said Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah. "I can't support it in its current form."

"I'm searching for a path toward yes but having a difficult time finding it," said Rep Bill Huizenga, R-Mich.

Unless he can wrestle the situation under control, Boehner risks losing leverage in his dealing with President Barack Obama and Democrats controlling the Senate.

Boehner's plan was not winning converts among some stalwart conservatives. It prompted Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid to declare that the bill was destined to fail in the Senate and it drew a White House veto threat. But it was framing the debate over how to reduce long-term deficits while raising the debt ceiling.

Tuesday's Congressional Budget Office analysis said the GOP measure would cut the deficit by about $850 billion over 10 years, not the $1.2 trillion originally promised. Even more embarrassing was a CBO finding that the measure, which would provide a $900 billion increase in the nation's borrowing cap, would generate just a $1 billion deficit cut over the coming year.

Boehner's plan would couple budget savings gleaned from 10 years of curbs on agency budgets with a two-track plan for increasing the government's borrowing cap by up to $2.7 trillion. The first increase of $900 billion would take effect immediately; the second increase could be awarded only after the recommendations of a special bipartisan congressional panel are enacted into law.

The White House says Boehner's measure would reopen the delicate and crucial debt discussions to unending political pressure during next year's campaigns and risk more uncertainty in the markets.

The White House promised to veto Boehner's measure if it were to reach Obama's desk.

It's unlikely to come to that. Reid, D-Nev., promised the measure would never make it through the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Reid held back on forcing a vote on his competing measure, which he unveiled Monday to poor reviews from Republicans like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Reid appears to hope that his measure, which promises $2.7 trillion in spending cuts and would increase the debt limit enough to keep the government afloat past the 2012 elections, could emerge as the last viable option standing and could be modified with input from Republicans.

Those same Republicans blasted Reid's bill for $1 trillion in war-related savings they say are phony. But McConnell is emerging as a key figure in the endgame, and he sounded a conciliatory note in an appearance Tuesday.

"We need to get an outcome. And to get an outcome, a Republican House, a Democratic Senate and a Democratic president would have to reach an agreement," McConnell said. "So I'm prepared to accept something less than perfect, because perfect is not achievable."

One area of potential compromise could be how to treat the findings of a bipartisan congressional commission to identify further deficit reductions, especially in major health care programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. Both Reid and Boehner support the idea, though Boehner wants to make a future increase in the debt limit contingent on the proposed additional cuts being enacted into law.

Meanwhile, the clock was ticking down to next Tuesday's deadline to continue the government's borrowing powers and avert possible defaults on U.S. loans and obligations, like $23 billion worth of Social Security payments due Aug. 3. The Capitol's telephones were jammed after Obama urged the public to contact their representatives in his Monday night address.

Conservative bloggers and groups like the Club for Growth, which funds primary campaigns against Republicans it deems too squishy in their conservatism, denounced Boehner's bill as too weak. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, closer to the GOP mainstream, urged support.

While Boehner searched for votes, some Americans seemed to edge closer to the notion that the Aug. 2 deadline might pass without a solution. The stock market fell again, although not dramatically. California planned to borrow about $5 billion from private investors as a hedge against a possible federal government default.

The White House spoke with veterans groups about what might happen to their benefits if a deal isn't reached. Obama has said he can't guarantee Social Security checks and payments to veterans and the disabled would go out on schedule.

Freshman Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., bristled at the idea that tea party-influenced newcomers are sheep-like ideologues willing to risk default.

"We're not a bunch of knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing Neanderthals," Gowdy said. "We're interested in answering what we perceive to be the mandate, which is to stop the spending and change the way Washington handles money."

Gowdy said he was leaning against Boehner's proposal.

Debt Deadlock Hurts President Obama's Street Cred...

If the American people reelect this joke, then there are more idiots in this country than i could have ever seen in my wildest dreams!!! He is  >:D

"A God-awful mess that wasn't supposed to get this bad." That's how the Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo! Politics, Jane Sasseen characterizes the on-again, off-again, going nowhere debt talks in Washington.

With only a week to go before the man-made deadline on the self-made crisis expires, she and other beltway observers say they are no closer today than a month ago, but still think a last minute compromise will be reached.

"Nobody knows how they can get out of it because they are so far apart," she says and points to the partisan presentations on national TV by President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner as proof.

She, like the rest of us, will sit back and wait and wonder if the elected leaders of this country will actually drive the train over the cliff or not. One thing she is certain about is that "no matter what happens the economy is going to get hit by this."

Sasseen is also keenly interested in the delicate dance that's playing out between the President and his big-money backers on Wall Street. She says "Wall Street supported Obama massively last election and they've shifted back somewhat. It's interesting because Obama is going back trying to fundraise again and they're not so happy with him anymore." But he needs and wants the money.

The great irony there Sasseen says, is that in "the real America there's a perception that he and Geithner and the Treasury are in the pocket of the banks, that they're friendly to the banks, and that hurts him." She says he also hasn't had much success yet answering voter concerns that "you bailed out the banks but not homeowners."

But alas, he'll have plenty of time to address those issues since the 2012 election is still more than 15 months away, whereas the great avoidable train wreck we've come to call "debt ceiling negotiations" is the clear and present danger.

Obama, Boehner Continue to Duel on Deficit...

President Barack Obama and House Republican leaders showed no sign of backing off their stances on how to cut the federal deficit as U.S. stocks sank the most since December 2008 on concern the economy will keep slowing.

Obama, making his first public comments since Standard & Poor's downgraded the U.S. credit rating to AA+ from AAA on Aug. 5, said yesterday that "common sense and compromise" should lead to a deficit-reduction plan that includes spending cuts and more tax revenue.

"It's not a lack of plans or policies that's the problem here," Obama said at the White House. "It's a lack of political will in Washington."

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor responded with statements saying both sides should be able to find cuts in mandatory spending, such as Social Security and Medicare, to make enough progress on the long-term shortfall.

"Republicans demonstrated this problem can be solved without job-destroying tax hikes," Boehner said.

Both sides sought to reassure global investors while staking out positions for negotiations on the direction of a so- called super committee of lawmakers, which is supposed to come up with at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reductions beyond the more than $900 billion that Republicans and Democrats have already agreed to. The panel was set up under a law that raised the nation's debt ceiling, and if it fails, a trigger mechanism would kick in to slash spending equally in defense and domestic programs.

Stock Futures Rise

Concern about the S&P credit downgrade and the state of the economy helped push U.S. stocks lower yesterday. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) lost 6.7 percent to 1,119.46 at 4 p.m. yesterday in New York, its lowest level since September, as all 500 stocks fell for the first time since Bloomberg began tracking the data in 1996. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 634.76 points as about $2.5 trillion was erased from global equities.

U.S. stock futures rose this morning, as investors waited for the outcome of a Federal Reserve meeting. S&P 500 Index futures added 1.7 percent at 8:44 a.m. in New York. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index traded down 0.1 percent after gaining as much as 1.6 percent. Treasuries fell, with the 10-year note's yield up six basis points to 2.37 percent at 9:02 a.m. in New York.

U.S. Assets

Obama sought to temper public concern about the stock and credit-ratings drop, citing the productivity of U.S. workers, the strength of the country's universities and the nation's history of entrepreneurship and innovation.

"Markets will rise and fall, but this is the United States of America," he said. "No matter what some agency may say, we've always been and always will be a AAA country."

Still he said, the S&P action should create "a renewed sense of urgency" for members of both parties to come up with a plan for bringing the government budget under control and shrinking deficits.

Obama vowed to offer his own recommendations in the "coming weeks." He also reiterated his stance that any solution must include "tax reform that will ask those who can afford it to pay their fair share, and modest adjustments to health-care programs like Medicare."

Cantor, of Virginia, said compromising on taxes in return for modest changes in entitlement programs is "a trade we simply cannot afford to make."

'Pressure to Compromise'

As a result of S&P's analysis of the U.S. budget position, Republicans will come under "pressure to compromise on tax increases," Cantor wrote in a memo to House colleagues that was released by his office. "We will be told that there is no other way forward. I respectfully disagree."

While welcoming Obama's promise to lay out specific reforms for entitlement programs, Ohio's Boehner said raising taxes is "simply the wrong approach." Lawmakers must focus on cutting spending, he said.

The deal Obama struck with House Republicans last week cuts $917 billion from spending over the next decade. The super- committee -- the two top Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate each will name three members by Aug. 16 -- will try to come up with at least an additional $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction.

Falling Short

In downgrading U.S. debt, S&P said in a statement that the plan "falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government's medium-term debt dynamics."

S&P's decision was at odds with the other two main ratings services, Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings. Both affirmed their AAA grades on U.S. debt on Aug. 2, when Obama signed the debt deal.

Obama and the two Republican leaders agreed that the focus of the White House and Congress should be on generating greater economic growth, even as their prescriptions differed.

"The challenges go beyond the stock market," Obama told a crowd of about 140 donors last night at a fundraiser in Washington. "Corporate profits have been up. The credit markets have stabilized but what's absolutely true even before these last couple days in the stock market is that recovery wasn't happening fast enough."

Boehner said the answer is to provide "economic certainty and creating an environment in which businesses can invest and jobs can flourish."

Cantor said House Republican leaders are preparing a package of legislation to be voted on beginning in September that would "reduce or eliminate regulatory barriers to job creation."

Americans "want to see less government -- not more taxes," Cantor said.

Other Ratings Companies

S&P's downgrade decision was at odds with the other two main ratings companies, Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings. Both affirmed their AAA grades on U.S. debt on Aug. 2, when Obama signed an increase in the U.S. debt ceiling and plan to trim the nation's deficit.

The new rating is the second-highest and puts the U.S. on the same level as Belgium and New Zealand, and above Japan and China. Under S&P's definitions, debt rated AA is barely different from AAA securities and shows that a borrower's ability to "meet its financial commitment on the obligation is very strong."

THANK you OBAMA!!

Soros sued by ex-girlfriend for real estate jilt...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The octogenarian billionaire George Soros has been sued for $10 million by a former Brazilian soap star who said he reneged on promises to give her an expensive apartment on Manhattan's Upper East Side. SORRY BABY, HE GAVE IT TO OBAMA,HIS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR PUPPET OF A PRESIDENT !

Adriana Ferreyr, 28, said Soros had twice during the five years they dated promised to buy her apartments, but never followed through, according to her complaint filed on Wednesday in the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Ferreyr said she and Soros, who turns 81 on Friday and is among the world's most admired investors, had been dating for more than three years when he promised on January 1, 2010, to buy her an apartment worth nearly $2 million two blocks from his home.

The pair broke up two months later and soon reconciled, but Soros told her as they lay in bed in August 2010 that he had given the apartment to a new girlfriend, the lawsuit said.

An argument ensued, resulting in Soros slapping Ferreyr on the face and trying to choke her and throwing a lamp that smashed on the floor, cutting Ferreyr's foot and requiring stitches, the lawsuit said.

Nonetheless, the pair rekindled their romance and Soros told Ferreyr while they vacationed in St. Barts that he would give her another apartment, only to renege again, it said.

Ferreyr is seeking damages for fraud, infliction of emotional distress, assault and battery and other claims.

William Zabel, a lawyer for Soros, called the lawsuit frivolous and without merit and said he will seek dismissal.

"Mr. Soros did have an on-again, off-again and nonexclusive relationship with Ms. Ferreyr," Zabel said in a statement. "The proposed complaint is riddled with false charges and is obviously an attempt to extract money from my client who is known to be a very wealthy man."

Zabel also said police investigated the August 2010 incident and found that no assault occurred.

"George Soros did not slap, choke or throw a lamp at her," he said.

Neither Ferreyr, now studying economics at Columbia University, nor her lawyer immediately responded to requests for comment.

Soros is worth $14.5 billion, Forbes magazine said in March. Last month, he decided to return roughly $1 billion from outside investors in his $26 billion Quantum hedge fund and instead manage money only for himself and family. That decision lets Soros avoid pending increased U.S. hedge fund regulation.

The case is Ferreyr v. Soros et al, New York State Supreme Court, New York County, No. 109256/2011.

"Obama Doesn't Get It":
More Stimulus Won't Help, Stockman Says – And We Can't Afford It

Seeking to revive the economy (and his reelection prospects) President Obama has been on Midwest swing this week, talking about jobs. Today, the White House announced the President will make a major speech after Labor Day focused on (what else?) job creation.

The White House says the Sept. 5 speech will include new ideas beyond those already mentioned, including an extension of the payroll tax cut, tax credits for hiring veterans, a further extension of unemployment benefits and the like.

But "it's too late for stimulus," according to David Stockman, former budget director for Ronald Reagan. "Even though it's nice; you can't afford it. The credit card is maxed out — it's done."

America has "reached the end of the road" when it comes to deficit spending and "I believe Obama doesn't get it," Stockman says.

What's different between today and the early 1980s, when the Reagan administration used deficit spending to pay for the arms race vs. the USSR even while cutting U.S. tax rates, is the state of America's balance sheet, he says.

"If you were at 30% debt-to-GDP like in 1980, it's one thing to add a little more," but not when the debt is at 100% of GDP and projected to rise from here, he says. "It's time for a wake up call — you can't keep burying yourself in debt."

Instead of throwing more money at the problem, the best thing the government can do right now is "get out of the way and let the private economy slowly heal itself," according to Stockman.

The former Congressman says it's also time for elected officials to level with the America people: "We had a party for 30 years [and] now we have the hangover. It's going to be painful [and] difficult but we have to work our way through."

Obama Takes a Pounding from GOP Over Vacation

Thursday August 18, 2011, 11:29 am EDT
It's become a rite of summer--bashing the president for going on vacation. The criticism erupts regardless of the president's party, ideology or personality, and no chief executive is immune.

With President Obama scheduled to leave today for a family holiday on Martha's Vineyard, the Republican National Committee is using the occasion to raise money. In a "Dear Republican" fund-raising message e-mailed to potential contributors this morning, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said, "He sure needs a break after a long year criss-crossing the country raising money to save his job--all the while over 14 million Americans are out of work and even more are suffering because of his policies."

And Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called on the president to cancel his vacation and stay in Washington to work with Congress to create jobs. "The first thing I'd do is go back to my office immediately," said Romney in an interview with WLS-AM in Chicago. "If I were president today, I wouldn't be looking to go spend 10 days on Martha's Vineyard." The former Massachusetts governor added: "If you're president of the United States, and the nation is in crisis, and we're in a jobs crisis right now, then you shouldn't be out vacationing. Instead, you should be focusing on getting the economy going again. And yeah, go back to the office yourself, pull back members of Congress, and focus on getting the job done." [See a collection of political cartoons on the 2012 GOP hopefuls.]

Romney, however, is scheduled to attend a fund raiser on the Vineyard Aug. 27.

President Obama has been the target of escalating criticism for leaving Washington on vacation. The problem, say the critics, isn't so much that Obama is skipping town. After all, Congress is away on vacation, too. Rather, the problem is "the optics"--how the vacation looks. And visiting a summertime playground for the rich, famous, and elite isn't the best image for a president who wants to come across as sensitive to the hardships Americans are facing at a time of high unemployment, a weak housing market, soaring national debt, two wars, and widespread concern about the future.

Martha's Vineyard is an island off the Massachusetts coast. The Obamas will be staying at Blue Heron Farm, a 28-acre estate that the family is leasing. Similar properties rent for $50,000 a week but White House officials won't say how much Obama is paying. [See a collection of political cartoons on the economy.]

Taking some of the edge off the situation is the fact that Obama isn't a particularly frequent vacationer compared with his predecessors. He has taken 61 vacation days so far, which is expected to reach 71 after his current holiday, This compares with 180 days at a similar point for George W. Bush at his Texas ranch and 112 days for Ronald Reagan at his California ranch, according to CBS Radio's Mark Knoller, who compiles records of presidential vacations. At this point in his presidency, Bill Clinton had taken only 28 days off.

When did so many people suddenly start thinking that politicians care about them?

Why the Obama Payment Plan Falls Flat..  >:D

He kept America waiting for 26-minutes to hear a 21-minute campaign speech. That was pretty much my takeaway from President Obama's Rose Garden jobs/deficit reduction speech. I take no joy in saying my stance is a "plague on both your houses." Regardless of political affiliation, I am critical of the president because he's an ineffectual leader in a time of crisis.

America literally can't afford both Republicans and Democrats starting their campaign efforts 14 months ahead of the elections. But a campaign speech is what we got earlier today, once the president got around to delivering it. So let's break it down as best we can given the dearth of details provided:

Tax Loopholes: Citing a tax code more than 10,000 pages long and 5-feet high, the president vowed to make tax reform a high priority. Obama also said his plan called for lowering the corporate tax rate while creating tax breaks for companies that manufacture and hire in the United States. Despite being depicted as Scrooge McDucks, CEO's are generally in favor of both of these moves. In fact, Rex Tillerson of Exxon Mobil (XOM) and Jeff Immelt (GE) have come out in support of paying higher taxes if the rate is the same for all companies. Then all we'd have to do is find work for the untold thousands of accountants and tax lawyers working in corporate America. There were no actual "details" given but the putting tax code reform on the table was and remains the highlight of the American Jobs Act to date.

Medicare/ Medicaid/ Social Security: The president is not, in fact, in favor of gutting benefits for aged and ill. This is obviously a shot across the box of Republican Presidential candidate Rick Perry and his comment that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. The president says he will not cut Social Security. Medicare and Medicaid won't be "gutted" without tax hikes on the rich. Nothing was said about rich people being willing to pay higher taxes to actually shore up medicare.

Warren Buffett Presents The Millionaire Tax: Warren Buffett made billions off the financial crisis by getting Goldman Sachs (GS) and General Electric (GE) to pay him usurious rates in exchange for what amounted to endorsement deals. Buffett is giving his entire estate to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation because he is of the opinion that the government is a poor allocator of capital. Buffett would like me to pay higher taxes to the very government he's opting to stiff.

Mr. Buffett has never met a preferential deal he didn't like and has 56,000 times as much money as someone with $1 million. The only reason the White House is using Buffett to promote this tax hike is because the administration thinks voters are ignorant regarding who Buffett really is. Buffett has no more place in a Jobs Act conversation than does the ghost of Cornelius Vanderbilt.

Improving Scientific Investment, Airports, Schools: Another triple crown of ideas that'll never happen. Everyone is in favor of better science programs, airports and schools. The problem is this Administration is a demonstrably bad technology investor. Nothing will ever get done on airports unless we build new runways, which we won't do because no one wants planes running over their house. Also, our school systems are dominated by unions, and much more about local governments than Federal in terms of deploying capital. These are soundbites, not policy proposals. There is no one who is anti any of these three items; it just sounds good for the President to say he's in favor of more science, better airports and nicer schools. It's the rhetorical equivalent of shaking hands and kissing a baby.

-

The Right's rebuttal, in effect whining about Obama's insinuations and vowing to never raise taxes, isn't much better than the president's campaign stumping. These are dark days for the economy, yet our leaders lack the will to improve the plight of our unemployed and impoverished.

It would seem the presidency is there for the taking for anyone who can run the electoral gauntlet. Whomever that candidate is, he or she has yet to make their presence known.

Chi Trib Columnist: Hillary Should Replace Obama
Monday, 19 Sep 2011 11:34 AM

By Martin Gould

President Barack Obama's got a decidedly downbeat message from his hometown newspaper on Monday – please don't run for re-election.

The message did not come directly from the Chicago Tribune, but from a distinguished member of its editorial board, veteran columnist Steve Chapman.

Even so, the fact it was printed in the Windy City's most prominent newspaper – which endorsed Obama in 2008 – is a major blow to the president.

"Someone said that when a man is smitten with a beautiful woman, he should remember that somebody somewhere is tired of her. Likewise, the most inspiring presidents get stale after years of constant overexposure," wrote Chapman, who said that Democrats have a more-than-able replacement candidate in Hillary Clinton.

"Her husband presided over a boom, she's been busy deposing dictators instead of destroying jobs, and she's never been accused of being a pushover.

"Not only that, Clinton is a savvy political veteran who already knows how to run for president. Oh, and a new Bloomberg poll finds her to be merely 'the most popular national political figure in America today.' "

Clinton has said repeatedly that she has no intention of standing for the presidency, saying she is done with elective politics.

Reaction to the piece was swift. Writing on Hot Air, Ed Morrissey said, "I've said repeatedly that I think a withdrawal by Obama is a low-probability event at best, and I still believe it to be a long shot. However, when the home-town papers are starting to make the call for retirement, it's maybe not quite as much of a long shot as before."

Chapman's column, entitled "Why Obama Should Withdraw," started by pointing out that when Ronald Reagan ran for re-election in 1984, his slogan was "Morning in America." Obama's slogan in 2012 should be "Midnight in a Coal Mine," Chapman suggested.

"The sputtering economy is about to stall out, unemployment is high, his jobs program may not pass, foreclosures are rampant and the poor guy can't even sneak a cigarette.

"His approval rating is at its lowest level ever," added Chapman, who has sat on the Tribune's editorial board for 30 years. "His party just lost two House elections — one in a district it had held for 88 consecutive years. He's staked his future on the jobs bill, which most Americans don't think would work."

The Harvard-educated columnist pointed out that there is nothing in the Constitution that forces a president to run for a second term. Obama, he said, "can scrap the campaign, bag the fundraising calls and never watch another Republican debate as long as he's willing to vacate the premises by Jan. 20, 2013.

"That might be the sensible thing to do," he added. "Why not leave of his own volition instead of waiting to get the ax?"

Chapman said that too often a president's second term is difficult anyway.

"Richard Nixon was forced to resign in disgrace, Reagan had the Iran-Contra scandal, and Bill Clinton made the unfortunate acquaintance of Monica Lewinsky.

"Administration officials get weary after four years and leave in droves. The junior varsity has to be put into service. New ideas are hard to come by."

And with the likelihood of the GOP holding both Houses of Congress, a second-term could be a nightmare for Obama. "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner will bound out of bed each day eager to make his life miserable.

"If he runs for re-election, Obama may find that the only fate worse than losing is winning. But he might arrange things so it will be (Hillary) Clinton who has the unenviable job of reviving the economy, balancing the budget, getting out of Afghanistan and grappling with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

"Obama, meanwhile, will be on a Hawaiian beach, wrestling the cap off a Corona."

Schoen: Obama's Speech Designed to Rally His Base
Monday, 19 Sep 2011 02:13 PM

By David A. Patten

In a sharply partisan speech widely viewed as a bid to shore up his left-wing support, President Barack Obama attacked House Speaker John Boehner for taking a "my-way-or-the-highway" attitude to budget negotiations, while threatening to wield his veto pen against any Republican budget reforms that he deems unfair.

Obama also rejected the notion that his proposed "Buffett rule" to tax wealthier Americans amounts to class warfare.

"Either we gut education and medical research or we've got to reform the tax code," he says. "This is not class warfare — it's math. The money has to come from someplace."

"Obama is now just as concerned with politics as he is with substance," Democratic pollster and Fox News commentator Doug Schoen told Newsmax after the president's speech today. "This is as much about the election next year as it is about balancing the budget and creating jobs this year.

"Class warfare and tax increases are all about setting up the Republicans for political attacks, not bipartisan cooperation — as the rhetoric in today's speech made clear," Schoen said.

Schoen's view that Obama's speech, in which the president promised to shave $3 trillion over the next decade from the deficit, in part by raising $1.5 trillion in new tax revenue mostly on the backs of wealthier Americans, was a political exercise rather than a viable policy proposal was widely echoed across the political spectrum.

Center for Politics Director Larry J. Sabato of the University of Virginia tells Newsmax: "There's no question the speech was fundamentally political. The White House knows there is no chance most of this package can pass the Republican House, maybe even the Senate. So why do it?

"If Obama is to win a second term, he has to re-energize his Democratic base, which has been in a funk, and also attract back millions of Independents that have left his camp," Sabato explains. "Polling shows the millionaire's tax strongly appeals to both groups."

The Washington Post reported that it "amounts more to an opening play in the fall debate over the economy than another attempt to find common ground with the opposing party."

Politico.com said the speech "reads more like a blueprint for shoring up his restless Democratic base than a vehicle for reaching across the aisle in search of bipartisan compromise."

In part, that was because of the strident tone the president took toward Republican rival Boehner. The speaker has maintained the so-called "grand bargain" to reform taxes and entitlements blew up when Obama tried to add in additional tax increases in the 11th hour of negotiations.

But today, Obama blamed Boehner, saying he had "walked away" from a deal that would have addressed the nation's most fundamental balance-sheet issues.

Obama said he was encouraged last week when Speaker Boehner said the nation's problems could not be resolved with a "my-way-or-the-highway" approach. But then, he said, Boehner ruled out tax increases in the same speech.

"So the speaker says you can't have it my way or the highway, then says it's got to be my way or the high way. That's not smart. It's not right," Obama said.

In keeping with the political tone of the speech, Republicans fired back. Boehner said Obama "has not made a serious contribution [to the congressional debt committee's] work today." Speaking of the president's apparent strategy for re-election, he added: "Pitting one group of Americans against another is not leadership."

Boehner held out hope there could be some common ground for agreement on efforts to grow jobs, however. He said Republicans were interested in moving forward with free-trade agreements, and perhaps some additional infrastructure spending.

President Obama's rhetoric has grown progressively sharper as his standing in the polls has plummeted. A new CBS/New York Times poll Monday showed that his approval had reached an all-time low of just 43 percent, compared to 50 percent who disapprove. Other surveys have the president's approval as low as 39 percent.

Also, Rasmussen Reports on Monday released a poll with even more worrisome numbers for all the president's men: Only 34 percent of self-identified undecided voters approve of the president's job performance, compared with a whopping 64 percent who disapprove.

In addition to $1.5 trillion in new taxes, the deficit-reduction package the president outlined this morning proposes to save $1.1 trillion from the drawdown of U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, $430 billion from interest savings, and $580 billion in "cuts and reforms across all mandatory programs."

Neither raising the eligibility age for Medicare or Social Security nor entitlement cuts are among the president's proposals.

Obama, who has presided over the most rapid increase in the national debt of any U.S. president ever, over $4 trillion and counting, also blamed "profligate spending in Washington" for the nation's budget woes. Democrats are expected to applaud the president's decision not to address the mounting fiscal problems facing Social Security and Medicare.

Republicans have gone on record warning those programs must be reformed in order to preserve their viability for future generations. Despite the rising flood of trillions in red ink the entitlements are projected to create in the future, Democrats see the issue as a political winner for them in next year's elections.

Obama threatened to veto GOP reforms if they don't meet his standards for fairness. "I will not support any plan that puts all the burden for closing our deficit on ordinary Americans," he said.

Black Caucus Leader: We Won't March Against Obama
Monday, 19 Sep 2011 01:27 PM

By Jim Meyers

Congressional Black Caucus members unhappy over African-American unemployment "probably would be marching on the White House" if Barack Obama were not the president, according to the group's Chairman Emanuel Cleaver.

"If Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House," the Missouri Democrat told The Miami Herald on Sunday.

"There is a less volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president."

Joblessness among blacks is nearing 17 percent, almost twice as high as the overall unemployment rate. The caucus wants Obama to do more to foster employment in the black community.

Obama's Scripture Reading Turns My Stomach...

I watched the 9/11 dedication ceremony on Sunday and got sick to my stomach when President Obama started reading Scripture.  I wanted to shout out: HYPOCRITE!  FAKE!  and FRAUD!

I'm sure you're all familiar with the saying, 'actions speak louder than words'.  Since taking office, Obama's actions have been overtly anti-Christian and pro-Muslim.  He professes to be a Christian, yet everything he says and does is Muslim.

On top of his Muslim affinity, his lack of sincerity also came through as he stood before the crowd.  He had that typical smug Obama look as if to say, 'hey everybody, look at me and what I'm doing'.  Michelle Obama was at his side with an equally smug look on her face as she absorbed all of the attention.

On the flip side, you could see the emotions on the faces of former President George W. Bush and Mrs. Bush, as she wiped tears from her eyes.

The difference between the two couples was so obvious that no one could miss it.  Besides, what did Obama do for the 9/11 victims and families of victims other than support the building of a mosque next to the site where Muslim terrorists murdered their loved ones?

I was so glad when the coverage of the ceremony ended and I no longer had to view the arrogance of the Obama's and listen to any more of his hypocrisy.

Obama endorses ending one day of mail delivery
Monday, September 19, 2011

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama said Monday the U.S. Postal Service should be allowed to reduce mail delivery to five-days-a-week to help cut its massive losses.

The Postal Service lost $8.5 billion last year and is facing even more red ink this year as the Internet siphons off large amounts of first-class mail and the weak economy reduces advertising mail.

While the post office has cut more than 100,000 workers in the last few years it needs to cut more, close offices and find other ways to reduce costs to keep operating.

In his economic growth and debt reduction plan unveiled Monday, Obama endorsed the idea of dropping one day of mail delivery — it is expected to be Saturday — and urged other changes in postal operations

He agreed that nearly $7 billion the post office has overpaid into the federal retirement system should be refunded to the agency, urged that its payments for advance funding of retiree medical benefits be restructured, and said the post office should be allowed to sell non-postal products and raise postage rates.

Currently the post office cannot raise rates more than the amount of inflation.

Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said the president "has offered helpful recommendations to stabilize the Postal Service's financial crisis."

Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., who has proposed a bill including many of the same suggestions, welcomed the president's statement.

"I have been saying for some time now that Congress and the administration need to come together on a plan that can save the Postal Service and protect the more than seven million jobs that rely on it," he said in a statement.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who has his own postal reform bill in the House, responded that "the president's proposal is not what taxpayers or the Postal Service needs."

He asserted that Obama's plan "will certainly cost taxpayers money." Currently the post office does not receive tax funds for its operations.

Meanwhile, 75 members of Congress led by Reps. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., and Don Young, R-Alaska, called on the independent Postal Regulatory Commission to block the post office's plans to close as many as 3,700 local offices across the country.

The proposed closures, most in rural locations that do little business, are currently under review.

The letter called for establishment of a new business model for the post office without closing offices and cutting its work force.

Illegal Aliens Receive Billions in IRS Tax Benefits
Friday, 23 Sep 2011

On July 7, 2011, the U.S. Department of Treasury's inspector general for tax administration issued a startling report entitled "Individuals Who Are Not Authorized to Work in the United States Were Paid $4.2 Billion in Refundable Credits."

No wonder the nation's finances are in turmoil.

According to the Treasury report, foreign nationals not authorized to work in the United States and ineligible for a Social Security Number (SSN) are nevertheless receiving government help from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS currently issues undocumented aliens an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) to facilitate their filing of tax returns.

Many illegal workers are paid in cash "under the table" and thus file no tax forms at all; but a number of undocumented workers, according to the Treasury report, are receiving public benefits contrary to federal and state laws.

For example, the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) allow payment of federal funds as tax benefits to undocumented aliens. Add to these the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and the result is tax refunds that provide incentives for foreign nationals to enter, reside, and work in the United States without authorization and in violation of current U.S. immigration law.

The CTC, ACTC, and EITC have come under review because of the significant volume of Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) returns filing for these credits using fraudulent data, such as names and SSNs.

The Treasury report notes that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) temporarily increased ACTC eligibility by changing the income threshold for calculating the credits in 2009 and 2010. The result was that in 2010, undocumented alien (ITIN) filers were able to claim higher tax refunds that totaled $4.2 billion. They represent an increase from $924 million in 2005.

It is clear that unauthorized aliens are filing ITIN tax returns with fraudulent data. The Treasury report found that "One common type of fraudulent refund involves taxpayers fabricating a Wage and Tax Statement (Form W-2) that shows excess withholding and results in a tax refund."

Street-smart illegal immigrants are wise to the federal government's incompetence.

Making matters worse, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Accounts Management Taxpayers Assurance Program (AMTAP) has failed to take steps to notify U.S. taxpayers when it is obvious that their SSNs and names have been compromised.

The Treasury Report found "sufficient evidence" that the IRS took no steps to notify legitimate taxpayers that their SSNs, and sometimes their names, were used by undocumented aliens filing tax returns on regular or ITIN tax returns.

The Child Tax Credit (CTC) benefit also is being fraudulently used by illegal aliens.

The Treasury Report indicates that the IRS will discuss amending the Tax Code to limit eligibility for the CTC and ACTC. Meanwhile, in reply to suggestions of misfeasance, the IRS answers that the agency does not have the legal authority to verify and disallow CTC and/or ACTC applicants as to their qualifications including their residency claim.

Meanwhile, over at the White House, President Barack Obama's two years and nine months in office have seen a rapid decline in his approval ratings with regard to proposed programs and job performance. At the top of the list is widespread disappointment at his promised immigration reform and border control that have yet to come to pass.

The failure of the federal government to control the borders not only means lost jobs, escalating healthcare costs, escalating criminal justice costs including victim costs, educational costs, welfare costs, and now fraudulent tax refund costs.

Immigrant advocates promulgate the myth that illegal aliens are simple souls in need of government assistance. In actuality, illegal aliens, despite their level of education, have become experts at taking the U.S. government for all its worth.

President Obama's immigration gyrations range from providing undocumented aliens with billions in tax refunds to promising U.S. citizens an emphasis on deportations.

In place of immigration reform, the president has chosen a re-election gimmick that authorizes by bureaucratic fiat "prosecutorial discretion" to be exercised by government immigration lawyers in halting the deportation of illegal aliens in deportation/removal proceedings.

A bewildered citizenry is witnessing a White House form of bureaucratic amnesty!

Yet the nation grows uneasy with Obama campaign promises that fail to materialize. Citizens and non-citizens alike have yet to know precisely where the president stands or what he means when he orates, leaving many to conclude that "Obama speaks with forked tongue."

New York Times Distorts Facts on Alabama Immigration Law
Tuesday, 06 Sep 2011

While the New York Times masthead reads: "All the News That's Fit to Print," the newspaper picks and chooses facts that support its liberal stance.

On Aug. 28, 2011, for instance, an NYT editorial entitled "The Nation's Cruelest Immigration Law" maligned immigration legislation that was signed into law on June 9, 2011, by the governor of Alabama.

The legislation (HB 56), known as the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, was scheduled to take effect on Sept. 1, 2011.

Instead, lawsuits filed by plaintiffs, including religious groups, civil rights groups, and 16 foreign countries, have resulted in a temporary hold on its enforcement.

The NYT editorial alleges that several clerics considered the Alabama law to be inhumane and thus filed suit. The editorial declares that the law is an attempt to terrorize undocumented immigrants and make criminals of those who live with them or show them any kindness.

In addition to U.S. clerics, Mexico and 15 other foreign countries have filed papers against the Alabama law. U.S. citizens might ask if these same countries would allow the United States to file legal papers to nullify a law passed by one of their states.

A U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) press release dated Aug. 1, 2011, stated that the Alabama law conflicts with federal immigration law and undermines the federal government's "careful balance" of immigration priorities and objectives. The Obama administration again seeks nullification of a state's effort to protect its citizens, while the federal government fails to enforce existing U.S. immigration laws.

The NYT editors allege that undocumented immigrants will be criminalized for working, renting, and failing to comply with federal registration laws that they say are "largely obsolete."

The editors criticize the Alabama law for requiring police to check the papers of people suspected of being in the state illegally, for suspending the licenses of businesses that employ illegal immigrants, and for requiring school officials to determine the immigration status of students and report the same to the state.

Here is what the Alabama law actually does. Section 13 (a) provides that anyone knowingly concealing, harboring, or shielding an illegal alien could be charged with a crime. This wording tracks existing federal immigration law (8 USC section 1324) and is similar to state immigration laws passed by Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, and Utah.

The existing federal law reads in part that violations include bringing in an alien without inspection; transporting or moving an alien; concealing, harboring, or shielding an alien or attempting to do so; or inducing an alien to enter or reside in the United States. This is the current U.S. immigration law of the land.

In April, a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia sentenced two persons to prison and fined them $2 million for harboring illegal immigrants and inducing the aliens to reside in this country. For more than two decades, similar convictions have occurred in U.S. District Courts throughout the nation.

U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, including the liberal Ninth Circuit Court, have ruled that section 1324 is Constitutional and have upheld these convictions. The United States Supreme Court also has affirmed the constitutionality of "harboring" and other portions of section 1324. Thus the U.S. law against concealing, harboring, or shielding an illegal alien is far from "obsolete".

The Obama administration has made a point of promoting E-Verify, an immigrant identification program passed by Congress (8 USC section 1373 [c]) to assist businesses in insuring that they are hiring legal workers. The program is operated and promulgated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Section 15 of the Alabama law, in compliance with the federal law, requires use of the federal E-Verify program in determining whether a person detained by state law enforcement officials is in the country legally. By using the E-Verify program to check on new hires, employers comply with both federal and Alabama law and will not lose their business licenses.

Requiring school officials to determine the immigration status of students and report the findings to the state (Section 28 of the Alabama law) is meant to determine the actual number of legal and illegal students. Currently the federal government has no accurate count of how many illegal aliens are in the United States — only guesstimates.

The actual count of illegal alien children would help determine federal and state money allocations and determine the actual costs of illegal aliens to local and state governments. Nothing in the Alabama law prohibits the education of illegal alien children.

The Alabama law prohibits consideration by law enforcement officials of the race, color, or national origin of a detained person in determining reasonable suspicion or probable cause in questioning the person.

No Alabama official or agency may adopt a policy or practice that limits or restricts the enforcement of federal immigration laws.

State immigration control and protection laws ultimately will be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. The NYT editorial's rush to judgment on the Alabama law is based on the folly of ideological hubris rather than on an objective reading of the law.

Perhaps the NYT editors pulled a Pelosi and wrote the editorial without reading the law.

Obama Opens the Door to Amnesty
Friday, 26 Aug 2011

The Obama re-election campaign jumped into full operational mode with an announcement by Janet Napolitano, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary, that illegal aliens in deportation proceedings — whether border-crossers or visa overstays — who have yet to commit an additional crime, will be allowed to remain in the United States and obtain work permits.

In an Aug. 18, 2011, letter to Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., regarding his proposed DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors), Napolitano announced a review and reprioritizing of all cases in deportation/removal proceedings.

Low-priority cases, which she believes waste enforcement resources, will be dismissed in defiance of existing U.S. immigration laws passed by Congress and signed into law by previous presidents.

Under the Obama administration, only high-priority cases, such as those involving violent criminals and national security risks, will be pursued. She added that "prosecutorial discretion" cases will not alleviate the need for passage of the DREAM Act or for larger reforms to the immigration law.

Cecilia Munoz, White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, blogged that "the president has the responsibility of enforcing existing laws in a smart and effective manner." Munoz, who is a former official of the radical Hispanic organization, La Raza (The Race), repeated the Obama party line that the executive branch of the government no longer will focus resources on low-priority cases in deportation.

She agreed with Secretary Napolitano's letter to Durbin that endorsed a memorandum by John Morton, DHS Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Issued on June 17, 2011, the Morton memo was entitled, "Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion Consistent with the Civil Immigration Enforcement Priorities of the Agency for the Apprehension, Detention, and Removal of Aliens." In it, Morton permitted DHS attorneys and officers to use "prosecutorial discretion" when dealing with removal cases.

The Morton memo followed earlier attempts in 2010 to effectuate amnesty for illegal aliens through a bypass of the legislative process. It set forth categories that DHS officers, agents, and attorneys are to consider in determining whether or not to cancel deportation/removal proceedings or efforts — regardless of where in the system an alien may be.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama continued to speak out of both sides of his mouth. In his July 2011 speech to La Raza, he rejected the idea of imposing immigration reform without legislation passed by Congress, which is designated by the Constitution as the nation's lawmaking body.

Obama stated, "Now I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own . . . the idea of doing on my own is very tempting. But that's not how the system works. That's not how democracy functions." Yet Obama condones a bureaucratic obfuscation of content, meaning, and responsibility for deciding which immigration laws to enforce.

This Democratic motif works to bypass Congress and its obligations to enact laws. It muddles the understanding and application of existing immigration laws as well as DHS regulations and operating instructions, thus confusing an already befuddled bureaucracy.

Obama amnesty is to be achieved by administrative and bureaucratic fiat. As with other Obama administrative fiats, such as those in EPA, Agriculture, Interior, National Labor Relations Board, Health and Human Services, and OSHA, the Obama re-election juggernaut decided to merely bypass the Constitutional process.

Congress be damned is the insider motto at the White House, where it is assumed that no news organization will dare criticize the president's actions, even if unconstitutional.

Many in the illegal alien community believe that the Napolitano letter has opened the door for amnesty. Along with the Morton memo, it authorizes ICE field personnel to effectuate amnesty by creating a bureaucratic nightmare of piecemeal decisions.

Immigrant advocates consider this a plus, for bureaucratic anarchy leads to favorable outcomes for illegal aliens. In a sub-rosa manner, Obama political appointees are requiring career federal employees to broaden the interpretation of the Morton memo and Napolitano letter to apply to all illegal aliens.

In the process, the president's re-election team is attempting to bag the idea of separate but equal branches of government. An end run of Congress and the legislative process is deemed necessary by the Obama administration to pacify the Hispanic population and show that the president cares for illegal aliens, especially those who vote in U.S. elections.

Pressure by immigration advocates forced Obama to take action to appease the Hispanic population, the largest minority in the country.

Statements by Hispanic journalists and activists that Obama had broken his promise of immigration reform were numbing his re-election fervor. Such criticisms were paralyzing the White House, which has now found a remedy in "prosecutorial discretion."

While it is campaign season, and the Obama administration is pulling out all the stops, where is a rebuttal of the Morton memo and the Napolitano letter by the Republican congressional leadership?

Illegal Aliens Drive Up National Debt
Friday, 22 Jul 2011

Back in September 2010, the Pew Hispanic Center placed the total number of undocumented foreign nationals residing in the United States at 11.1 million.

The actual count today could be three times this estimate. Pew also referenced an estimate of unemployed illegal aliens at 10 percent, likely the result of recession-caused layoffs mainly in construction and factory work.

The illegal aliens in the United States at any given time and their costs to U.S. taxpayers remain ghost numbers. Look around, illegal aliens are here, but their exact numbers are hidden. The costs to U.S. taxpayers for the education, healthcare, incarceration, and welfare benefits for illegal aliens, employed and unemployed, can only be estimated. For years now, a segment of immigrant advocates downplay illegal migration, its causes, and the cost to U.S. taxpayers.

Douglas S. Massey, demographer at Princeton University and co-director of the Mexican Migration project, believes that Americans have a skewered view of Mexico; that it is underdeveloped with a population desperately seeking to come to the United States.

He states, "That's just not true at all." In 2006, Massey opined that Mexican migrants were not fleeing poverty but instead were seeking social mobility. He noted that their decreasing interest in migrating to the United States was the result of Mexican families having fewer children, border crime linked to growing drug cartel violence frightening many from attempting a crossing, educational and economic opportunities in Mexico, and a business slow-down in the United States.

These positions, advanced by Massey and accepted as gospel-truth by many illegal alien advocates, create assumptions that are passed off as etched in stone. It is true that the Mexican life-style is improving, except for the drug cartel massacres. If, however, the fertility rate among women in Mexico is decreasing, why is the fertility rate of Mexican women in the United States exceeding that of U.S. citizens?

Demographers agree that the Hispanic population rise in the United States is caused by immigration and the births of anchor babies. A more recent Pew Hispanic Center study (July 14, 2011) found that Mexican births in the United States have surpassed immigration as the main driver of Hispanic population growth.

Numbers on illegal aliens in the United States remain estimates and will continue to be so, until an accurate method for counting illegal border crossers and visa overstays is established. The best numbers on illegal immigration come from U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions. U.S. Census numbers remain notoriously inaccurate with regard to illegal alien counts, largely because members of the ghost population choose not to be counted.

Meanwhile, back on the border, apprehensions of illegal border-crossers are down for the years 2008 through 2010. According to U.S. Border patrol official figures, a total of 447,731 apprehensions of illegal border-crossers were made in 2010, down from the 540,865 apprehensions made in 2009. In comparison, between 2000 and 2006, the average apprehensions per year were 1.1 million, with 95 percent of them occurring along the Mexico-U.S. border.

U.S. Border Patrol estimates are that for every apprehension of an illegal border-crosser, three persons evade apprehension. Some Border Patrol agents estimate that five to seven persons enter illegally for each person apprehended. If the number of apprehensions in 2010 is down to half that in earlier peak years, still at least 1.2 million aliens are entering the country illegally each year.

For decades, "Other Than Mexicans" (OTM) has been a category for border-crossing apprehensions. In the past two years, the number of Central American illegal border-crossers has risen, as have those from "special interest countries" that sponsor terrorism against Western nations, including the United States.

The National Public Radio (NPR) recently quoted an illegal border crosser from Guatemala, who said that no matter how many times he is caught by the Border Patrol, he will continue to attempt a crossing, because it is difficult to find opportunities in his country.

An El Salvadoran Non-Government Organization (NGO) official states that Salvadorans migrate to the United States because of the lack of jobs and opportunities in their homeland. He failed to mention that El Salvadorans in the United States have founded one of the world's largest criminal gangs, MS-13.

Rather than consider remedies, such as a modernized "Bracero" program to document Mexican farm workers, President Barack Obama prefers the pabulum of comprehensive immigration reform with its pathway to citizenship for all comers.

The president refuses to acknowledge that the United States is faltering under the weight of an escalating national debt of $40 trillion within a decade. He refuses to acknowledge that the national debt is increasing partly because of the escalating numbers of undocumented aliens — a ghost population that threatens the financial solvency of the United States.

Illegal Aliens Strain Education Budgets
Tuesday, 12 Jul 2011

As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama vowed to champion education and lift schools out of the Bush doldrums. As president, Obama has failed.

His administration and his news media support team place the blame on former President George W. Bush. The remedy, they say, is fast cash for public education of the nation's children, including those who enter the country illegally.

Public education has cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $2 trillion since 1980 when President Jimmy Carter rewarded his supporters in the National Education Association (NEA), the teachers union, by creating the U.S. Department of Education.

In the intervening years, federal control over local school districts has lowered performance levels of public-school students. A recent study found that 47 percent of adults in Detroit, many of them high school graduates, are functional illiterates.

Detroit is spending $15, 945 for each public school student, yet 77 percent of 8th graders perform below skill levels. Nationwide, student performance in engineering, mathematics, and science has fallen to Third-World levels.

Part of the problem is illegal border crossers, whose families drain education resources. Legal immigrants are not the problem. Increasingly U.S. businesses look to legal immigrants to perform the 21st century work that many U.S. public school graduates are unprepared to do.

The Washington Post on June 25, 2011, reported the resignation of a young public school principal, who found the D.C. school system dysfunctional.

The Post followed with a report on June 28, 2011, that the Maryland version of the DREAM Act which awards college tuition benefits to illegal aliens was in peril of repeal due to the frustration of Marylanders with illegal immigration.

Major support for repeal is coming from Baltimore and Prince George's counties, the bluest parts of a very blue (Democratic) state. As of July 6, 2011, required signatures to place repeal on the ballot had been surpassed.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer on Sept. 20, 2010, black and Hispanic high school dropout rates track the national averages, 46 and 44 percent, respectively.

Liberals blame a too-strict discipline policy. Meanwhile the Chicago Urban League reported at its 2011 Summit meeting that "well-known deficiencies in the public education system play a role in the blocking of African-American access to the higher wage, fast growth job lane." The League noted that black children are performing below basic skill levels. The same can be said of Hispanic students.

The Boston Globe reported on July 5, 2011, that Boston public schools are in turmoil, with the superintendent playing musical chairs in moving under-performing teachers and principals to better performing schools and vice versa. One under-performing teacher complained that much of her time was spent helping students to speak English.

In Georgia, where the illegal alien population is among the highest in the nation, a state investigation found rampant cheating on test scores in Atlanta's "long troubled schools." The cheating was not by students but by teachers and principals.

In California, low graduation rates and school dropouts occur among students who speak little or no English. To address the problem, the politically correct town of Ukiah in Mendocino County has a number of subjects, including math, taught only in Spanish. California has the largest number of failing schools in the nation.

Meanwhile Illinois is dropping writing from the high school core curriculum, and Indiana no longer requires the teaching of cursive penmanship.

Although the 2011 budget for President Obama's Race to the Top (RTTT) education program is $4.35 billion, one state official notes that RTTT provides little or no real services.

It merely gives billions to school administrators who are able to employ good grant writers. The Chronicle of Higher Education, May 25, 2010, reported that an Obama Department of Education official observed that some high schools are "dropout factories," and many who graduate have to take remedial courses in college.

A 2011 poll indicates that people are losing faith in the public education system. As Andrew Coulson of the Cato Institute observed, "People will see the president's budget as a definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over that has failed, and $2 trillion of federal spending has failed America's children."

The reason could be that the influx of undocumented foreign nationals is integral to the re-distribution of wealth by means of class warfare permeating the Obama re-election rhetoric.

Obama Mandate Could Provide Amnesty for Many Illegals
Tuesday, 05 Jul 2011

The White House, acting through John Morton, Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has set up a mandate that could wind up granting amnesty to many illegal aliens.

Morton dared not act without White House approval, and the president ignored the constitutional requirement for congressional action on immigration reform legislation.

ICE Director John Morton issued a memorandum dated June 17, 2011, entitled "Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion Consistent with the Civil Immigration Enforcement Priorities of the Agency for the Apprehension, Detention, and Removal of Aliens."

The memo sets forth categories that DHS officers, agents, and attorneys are to consider in determining whether or not to cancel deportation/removal proceedings or efforts — regardless of where in the system an alien may be.

The memo notes that "the list is not exhaustive." The disingenuous excuse offered for the memo is that it will "preserve government resources" (funding). The actual reason is that the president is running for re-election.

Prosecutorial discretion means that DHS officials are to make judgment calls on illegal aliens using guidelines such as the following:

1. Did the alien graduate from high school — what is the alien's education status?

2. Was the alien brought here as a child?

3. Does the alien have a relative in the U. S. military — National Guard or reserves included?

4. Is the alien a security risk?

5. Is the alien pregnant or breast-feeding?

6. Does the alien care for disabled, infirmed, or mentally challenged relatives?

7. Does the alien work?

8. Does the alien serve the community?

Such guidelines will lead to utter chaos with thousands of DHS employees making helter-skelter decisions as to whether an alien should be granted amnesty.

The result will be selective enforcement of the nation's current immigration laws. The granting of unbridled discretion to DHS officials will subject them to a myriad of troubles including bribery.

The 2011 Morton memorandum constitutes the second attempt by the Obama administration to effectuate amnesty for illegal aliens through a bypass of the legislative process.

A June 27, 2011, Houston Chronicle article, "Report: Feds downplayed ICE case dismissals," traces the recent Morton memo to an earlier version issued in 2010 that called for ICE to prioritize the deportations of illegal immigrants and granted ICE personnel wide discretion in dismissing immigration cases.

The same reasoning was provided then that limited resources required prioritizing deportations.

According to an Aug. 25, 2010, Houston Chronicle article, when U.S. Senate Republicans, ICE employee union officers, and newsmedia began questioning the 2010 Morton memo, DHS officials stated that dismissals of deportation cases were only for those aliens with pending green card applications.

Tre Rebstock, president of the Houston ICE employees union, expressed concern that ICE field personnel would lose the public's trust, as the DHS actions had "the hallmarks of a cover-up."

He said that the DHS officials lied or at the very least misrepresented the truth regarding what they were doing on the dismissal of deportation cases. He repeated these allegations on June 28, 2011.

On that same day, the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and Border Security held a hearing on the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (the DREAM Act) last rejected by Congress in 2010.

Although the Democrats stacked a larger-than-usual hearing room with illegal aliens, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, a witness at the hearing, said there would be no arrests.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, questioned her on DHS efforts to mislead Congress regarding the 2010 Morton memo. He also questioned her on the 2011 memo that advances DREAM Act policies.

Napolitano explained that the ICE Houston field office "conflated two different memos" released by Director Morton and thus the agency policy was "misconstrued." Cornyn was among those senators who did not buy her explanation.

Obama's Hispanic support has eroded due to his failure to push immigration reform as promised.

With the 2012 election closing in, the president means to reclaim that vote. The 2011 Morton memorandum, by incorporating DREAM Act provisions, advances Obama's immigration reform without a Congressional vote.

At question are what did congressional Democrats know about the 2010 and 2011 Morton Memoranda and when did they know it.

What the president cannot achieve through legislation, he means to get through executive order or bureaucratic Departmental regulations, orders, or directives, such as the Morton Memoranda.

Republican members of Congress, with few exceptions, appear stymied and are doing little to stop this White House usurpation of power.

Many Democrats see efforts to detain and deport criminal aliens as civil rights violations. Democratic governors of Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York refuse to comply with efforts such as the Secure Communities Program (SCP) that uses FBI and DHS databases to identify criminal aliens at the time of booking.

Over at the Department of Homeland Security, Obama appointees have issued a directive to enact "meaningful immigration reform absent legislative authority." Liberal politicians nationwide continue to pressure Obama to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

If You Believe the President, I Have a Bridge to Sell You...

On Thursday, President Obama paid a visit to Cincinnati, Ohio were he gave a speech on his jobs bill.  One of the items mentioned in his jobs bill is the replacement of the Brent Spence Bridge.  This bridge connects Cincinnati to northern Kentucky and carries all of the traffic for Interstates I-71 and I-75.

The President said that his choosing to speak there had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with promoting his jobs bill.  He went on to say:

"Now, the bridge behind us just happens to connect the state that's home to the Speaker of the House with the home state of the Republican leader in the Senate...Just a coincidence.  Purely accidental that that happened...The reason I came here is because Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell are the two most powerful Republicans in government.  They can either kill this jobs bill, or they can help us pass it... Mr. Boehner, Mr. McConnell, help us rebuild this bridge.  Help us rebuild America. Help us put this country back to work. Pass this jobs bill right away."

If you truly believe that the President's choice to speak at the base of that bridge had nothing to do with politics, I'll sell you that bridge and several others along with it.  Interestingly, I did a little research and learned that the Brent Spence Bridge is already scheduled for replacement in the future and the President's jobs bill may help send some funds to help pay for it, but it won't do anything to make it happen any faster than is already planned.

The one thing he said that may hold some truth is that Boehner and McConnell may be the key factors as to whether or not Obama's jobs bill gets passed.  For the sake of the nation, I truly hope and pray that these two leaders have enough intelligence to see that the jobs bill is nothing more than a guise to raise taxes.  It will not create more jobs and in fact, may actually cut jobs.

House Speaker Boehner and Senate Minority Leader McConnell need to stand firm and reject the President's jobs bill and not compromise in any way shape or manner like they did on the debt crisis issue in August.

Wake up America!

Why Did the MSM Ignore the Execution of Brewer?
September 23, 2011

Troy Davis's execution could have been a mistake. It is possible that he never committed the crime. We will never know if the jury condemned an innocent man; not on this side of the Final Judgment.

What we know, though, is that another execution went largely unreported by the media: that of Lawrence Russell Brewer, a white supremacist, one of the three men who in 1998 in Texas brutally tortured and killed James Byrd, Jr. Brewer got exactly what he deserved. Except that his execution was much more merciful than the treatment he and his friends gave Byrd.

Why did the MSM ignore Brewer's execution? And why was there such an emphasis on Davis's?

Because of bias. Liberal media have an agenda: Use the race card as much as possible to promote liberal agendas.

May be it is true that Davis's execution shows there is a problem with our justice system, where a man was sentenced based on inconclusive evidence; there is no proof that it was because of his skin color. Brewer's execution, on the other hand, showed that juries and judges show no mercy to a white racist whose victim is black. But these do not go well with the liberal media use of the race card. Therefore Davis was presented as a victim of his skin color; and Brewer was not mentioned at all.

One online publication compared the two executions; and whatever the evidence, came to the conclusion that race plays a "role in capital punishment."

Proofs?

A study by the Ohio State University which says that "There is more than a two-fold greater risk that an African American who killed a white person will be executed than there is for a white person who killed a non-white victim." The study claims to have used data between 1973 and 2002. Thirty years is long time. While there was racial bias back in the 70s – and no one disputes this fact – the picture was not the same in 2002, and is certainly not the same today. To combine data of forty years ago and ten years ago, and make conclusions about what it is today can be certainly called manipulation of statistics. By the same logic, we can compile data from 1620 to 1861 and declare that most Americans today own slaves or want to own slaves.

Another "proof" is the claims of ACLU, the organization whose founder declared that "Communism is the goal":

The color of a defendant and victim's skin plays a crucial and unacceptable role in deciding who receives the death penalty in America. People of color have accounted for a disproportionate 43 % of total executions since 1976 and 55 % of those currently awaiting execution.

Disproportionate to what? The study doesn't say. Disproportionate to the population in general? But the population in general is not murderers. What if "people of color" (a term I never use, and I only see liberals use) constitute 43% of all murderers? Would that still be "disproportionate"? If it is "disproportionate," should we round up a few more whites to execute them, or should we execute less "people of color"? Should we have racial quotas for executions?

There is another one of those number tricks:

Furthermore, as of October 2002, 12 people have been executed where the defendant was white and the murder victim black, compared with 178 black defendants executed for murders with white victims.

What is this supposed to mean, and what do we compare it to? What if we had 12 cases of the former and 178 cases of the latter? Can judges and juries control who murders whom? Should the courts consult statistics to decide their verdicts so that the court system looks statistically balanced as against the general population?

No, ACLU says, we just need a "moratorium of the death penalty . . . to address the blatant prejudice in our application of the death penalty." In other words, the racial "blatant prejudice" can be addressed when we change the statistics of death to 100% innocent victims and 0% guilty criminals.

More important, the race card is used to attack that safeguard against murderers, the death penalty. Because it looks racially "prejudiced" and "disproportionate," let's abolish it altogether. If we apply it further, prisons seem "prejudiced" and "disproportionate" in skin color numbers, let's abolish them too. Heck, why stop with prisons and death penalty? Numbers can be shown that the courts are prejudiced themselves and there is a "disproportionate" number of black defendants. Let's abolish courts too.

It is all race to the liberals; everything is race in their eyes when when it isn't. That's how liberal agendas are promoted. The blame game sells, as Kevin Jackson reminds us.

And that's what the MSM tried to sell us this week. If you don't feel guilty for being a racist, you haven't paid attention to the liberal media.

Bill Maher: Sarah Palin Would Hump Perry if He was Black
For the second week in a row since returning from his summer hiatus, it didn't take HBO's Bill Maher long to begin attacking conservatives.

Roughly one minute into his opening monolog on Friday's "Real Time," the host mocked Texas governor Rick Perry's performance at Thursday's presidential debate and disgustingly quipped, "Sarah Palin was watching and she said, 'If only he was black, I'd f–k him'"

BILL MAHER: Apparently this Rick Perry is toast already. A minute ago he was the darling of the Republican Party. He had a bad night, and now they're saying, "No, f–k you. You're out." But he did look dumb. He did. I'm beginning to think that Texas miracle was him getting out of high school.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A note on this...
This Bill Maher is scum of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill Maher  >:D  is the most despicable SOB to come by in the last 50 years.
Bill Maher is a fool. No one should.
watch him or listen to such garbage.
Imagine what the alphabet news would be saying had a conservative said this about a democrat woman. Everyone would know what a loser that person was. But you'll hear nothing about their darling Maher!
I'm sick of lowlife lefties, greens and imbeciles mocking people with the guts to get out and try to straighten the curve of the sickle in the hammer and sickle that has stolen our whitehouse and cabinet and many of the young minds in our beloved country...what other country would permit this imbecile to have a TV show.
I know it's not nice to wish ill will upon someone, but I really wish the guy would suffer a stroke and become unable to speak. I don't want him to die, just not be able to spew the vitriol that he does and have it just be stuck inside his head. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he gets to the afterlife and finds there IS a God and he's probably not going to make the guest list.
I wonder who was the woman who brought this piece of dog dunk that goes by the name of Bill Maher to this world.
In fact I am almost sure it was a female dog.
Maher and a snake have one thing in common. They sneak around on their stomachs because they don't have a backbone to keep them upright. Maher is a low life slob.
I have never heard or seen such a vile comment made before on TV. HBO should fire him immediately and then apologize to Sarah Palin and to all their viewers. If not, then HBOs sponsors should bring pressure on HBO, or Americans of good will should boycott HBO's sponsors.
I don't know. This guy drools watching Barney Frank walk away... He pokes holes in Cantaloupe for carnal use.. His favorite TV show is those preteen beauty pageants. He has a tin cup tied to both ankles to catch the jizz running down both legs every time he hears Obama speak. See anyone can sling this feces... It's not hard to do.. He doesn't have the cahonies to make intelligent, factual comments, his rants are just that, immature rants right out of the Progressive Play book...
You liberals are a disgrace to the human race.
It'll be a good day for America when Maher leaves this world.

We all know the Left's bias against us, so there's little point in complaining amongst ourselves. I see no point in boycotting HBO simply because of this bad show.

On that basis, how many channels would we have left to watch?

Heck, FNC would be boycotted simply because they allow that "bloated pig Bob Beckel" to spew his shit off on the 5.

HBO needs to see protest letters, e-mails and what have you in their in-box in sufficient quantity so they pull Maher from their line-up. While we can all agree that Maher's comments are in poor taste, we must also agree that he has the right to say it, just as he has the right to make money from the body of work he puts out. Like it or not, folks, it cuts both ways.

Also, Bill Maher
take this crazy Bi**h with you !

Culture of Corruption, Maxine Waters
>:D Maxine, I hope that you're going down with your husband.....$12,000,000.00

You and your party can go straight to hell, and i can help you get there!!

Oh...and that other crazy Bi**h from Florida that had to spew her mouth off about Allen West
I will recall her name soon and post on that scum, and we wonder why our country is in such trouble.

The reason: Ms. Waters, a longtime congresswoman from California, had close ties to the minority-owned institution, OneUnited Bank.

Ms. Waters and her husband have both held financial stakes in the bank. Until recently, her husband was a director. At the same time, Ms. Waters has publicly boosted OneUnited's executives and criticized its government regulators during congressional hearings. Last fall, she helped secure the bank a meeting with Treasury officials.

Maxine defines corrupt.

Michael Moore: "Patriotic Americans" Will Wait Longer for Healthcare
"Bloated pig Michael Moore" so far to the left he is about to fall of into the Pacific Ocean!
Which would be for the best of this country!!!!

Michael Moore defends Obamacare and healthcare programs similar to it around the world. Moore says the only "things you maybe have to wait for" are a knee replacement surgery or cataracts.

"Things that are not life-threatening," Moore said on HBO's "Real Time" with host Bill Maher. "The reason why you have to wait sometimes in those countries is they let everybody in the line. We make 50 million people out of the line so the line is shorter, so sometimes you have to wait as long. If you are a patriotic American, you want every American to be covered the same as you. No, not 'I'm going to get ahead because I have health insurance and they don't,'" Michael Moore explained.

What Solyndra Scandal ?   ???

Taxpayers Paid for "Fast and Furious" Plan to Arm the Sinaloa Drug Cartel

The Mexican government has opened two criminal investigations into Operation Fast and Furious, the deadly ATF operation that allowed the Sinaloa drug cartel to purchase $1.25 million in illegal guns responsible for countless acts of violence south of the border. Reasonable people may ask when the United States will follow suit after today's revelations that taxpayers funded the transfer and ATF agents personally handed the guns over to murderous gang members.

Fox News reports it has uncovered documents showing David Voth, an ATF group supervisor, ordered eventual whistleblower John Dodson to use federal dollars to purchase and then personally sell six semi-automatic Draco pistols to members of the gang in Arizona. Then he allowed the guns to ride off into the sunset over the sands of old Mexico:

This was not a "buy-bust" or a sting operation, where police sell to a buyer and then arrest them immediately afterward. In this case, agents were "ordered" to let the sale go through and follow the weapons to a stash house.

According to sources directly involved in the case, Dodson felt strongly that the weapons should not be abandoned and the stash house should remain under 24-hour surveillance. However, Voth disagreed and ordered the surveillance team to return to the office. Dodson refused, and for six days in the desert heat kept the house under watch, defying direct orders from Voth.

A week later, a second vehicle showed up to transfer the weapons. Dodson called for an interdiction team to move in, make the arrest and seize the weapons. Voth refused and the guns disappeared with no surveillance.

According to a story posted Sunday on a website dedicated to covering Fast and Furious, Voth gave Dodson the assignment to "dirty him up," since Dodson had become the most vocal critic of the operation.

"I think Dodson demanded the letter from Voth to cover both himself and the FFL (Federal Firearm Licensee). He didn't want to be hung out to dry by Voth," a source told the website "Sipsey Street Irregulars."

Shortly after this, Dodson confronted his supervisors, asking why the ATF did not simply give the drug cartel its entire cache of weapons, after which he was given "a more menial job." Demoting whistleblowers or punishing employees otherwise critical of institutional corruption is a defining feature of the Obama administration.

Commentators have asked whether the program is part of a wider policy of supporting the Sinaloa drug cartel....

Accused Sinaloa mastermind Vicente Zambada-Niebla has claimed in court documents that federal agents allowed him to sell cocaine in the United States from 2004-9 in exchange for informing on rival drug kingpins to the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, and U.S. immigration officials.

The new revelations show the U.S. taxpayer is financing both sides of the low-intensity warfare along the Mexican border. Darrell Issa has thoroughly investigated the scandal. He believes it is inconceivable that officials at the highest levels of the Obama administration had not given their consent to this program. The new revelations prove this bloody policy that has resulted in multiple American deaths may have terminal effects upon Eric Holder's tenure as Attorney General — and possibly Barack Obama's (one) term as president.

IMPEACH THE WHOLE DAMN ADMINISTRATION..NOW!  >:D

Ask for Warren Buffett's Tax Forms, and MSNBC Calls You a 'Buffett Birther'

Republicans have suggested that if billionaire Warren Buffett is going to be the basis of a "Buffett rule" of taxation, then it would seem obvious that perhaps Buffett should be asked to display his tax returns. If he's going to be the exemplar of class inequities, he should lay his taxes on the table. On Thursday night, MSNBC had a mysterious new term for this demand: "Buffett birther."

It has nothing to do with Buffett's birth certificate, but with his tax returns, but don't bother radical-left Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson with demands for precision. He guest-hosted the Ed Show on MSNBC Thursday night, and launched his lame new term:

SEN. JOHN CORNYN: Well, if he`s going to be the gold standard, so to speak, in terms of what our tax policy should be, yes, let`s look at them.

DYSON:  That was Republican Senator John Cornyn of Texas talking about billionaire investor Warren Buffett. Cornyn is part of a growing chorus of Buffett birthers, demanding to see Buffett's tax returns. Buffett has been calling for a tax hike on the mega-wealthy because — well, they can afford it. The so-called Buffett Rule has been a focal point of President Obama`s new plan to increase revenues by taxing the super rich. That doesn`t sit too well with the ultra right wing.

SEN. JIM DEMINT: I would love to see Buffett`s tax returns so we can see what he`s really doing, because he`s kind of operating in the dark here, making some claims.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you think he's going to release them?

CORNYN: I don`t think so.

DYSON: Come on, guys. Warren Buffett's actual tax return is irrelevant to the central point that many wealthy individuals pay a lower overall percentage in taxes than some middle class wage earners. Whether he publicly releases them or not, Buffett`s claim has been fact-checked as true.

Earlier on Thursday night, Chris Matthews was thrilled with Professor "Buffett Birther" on Hardball:

DYSON: Yes, the income is still a great disparity, but the wealth gap is astonishing. It`s a travesty of economic justice. It shows you that the crisis in housing really led to the greatest bleed-off of black wealth in the history of this nation.

MATTHEWS: So smart.

As usual, like Julian Bond, Dyson is demanding that Obama overcome his fear of the right wing and start showering some government cash on the blacks:

We understand the reluctance to target African-Americans, because of the fear that the right wing will exploit any attention paid to African American people as somehow some racial gerrymandering....But I think the reality is, is that 16.7 percent unemployment and this wealth gap suggests that there are targeted programs that can be done in the name of democratic procedures to help American citizens.

Too funny. The minds of these lefties....

That is like Wayne Gacy saying that murderers should be given the death penalty, "But don't look in my basement!"

A guess if a cop pulls Obama over for speeding and asks him for his license all of a sudden the cop is a "birther." Great logic numnuts!

A cop who pulled Obama over for doing 90 in a school zone is a racist. The constitution makes the President the chief of law enforcement officials. He is literally above the law or the law means nothing.
Only the Congress or a Constitutional Convention can drag Obama out of the Whitehouse legally before his term ends in January 2013. If we have to resort to force to remove him after the election he will have taken a long way down the road that Rome traveled.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To hell with Warren Buffett...just another crook , that owes the government back taxes...now !

...I want this dithering old jackass to pay his back taxes before he starts spouting advice. It's only fair that the millionaires and billionaires pay the back taxes that they owe just like a teacher or a fireman or a secretary would have to pay...

I am damn tired of people calling SS an entitlement...
My employer and I paid into SS for 40 yrs and the dumbocrats stole the money for the general fund to spend unwisely.
It is now an "entitlement" because congress stole the money you & I & employers put into the fund and the left over balance was transferred into the general budget, so now, congress each year has to submit a Bill appropriating the necessary funds to fund what people on SS are to receive..this is how SS became an "entitlement"!

I think it's the same with Medicare.

Obama is truly an embarrassment to America. The rest of the World has figured that fact out. Will America wake up and see the truly pathetic moron obama is in reality? I'm just hoping that neither Palin nor Trump decide to run as independents.
That would doom us by dividing the republican vote.
I remember how Perot delivered us Clinton.
Four more years of obama and two more Supreme Court justices will doom this country and its Constitution forever.

The Democrats can't even understand what obama is doing to this country... :(

Obama seems to fit perfectly into the idea of moving us towards a one world government, which fits perfectly into the Biblical view of the end times. We all have our idea of how things should progress, but God has a much better plan.
It may already be too late as OBAMA care is so intwined and already making drastic changes that will be hard to put back. If Americans have become so ignorant as to embrace OBAMA then let them have OBAMA and everything he stands for. I still believe OBAMA would not be in power unless God allowed...for what reason? Who knows maybe the start of the end times? I would never speculate but the writing is on the wall as the worlds dominoes start to fall into place...it creeps me out....but I am not afraid as I know how it ends.

Thouhts...Cain/West Or Cain/Bachmann Or Can/Palin Or even Bachmann/Palin OR West/Bachmann Or West/Palin All great people who I believe will stand with the American folks and Tea Party. Although really don't see West in the line up.

Something like Ron Paul's VP.

They both follow the Constitution which is the main thing and anybody that thinks differently is not a Tea Party member. The Tea Party will win this election, Perry is not in the TP no matter what he says, He's a liar like Obama. We will win with whoever we nominate into the Republican party.. I think Ron Paul will be our next president.

It's issues...not people that we shall vote on. I trust Ron, Sarah, Michelle, West and several others that stand behind the Constitution.

Media Ignoring Obama Scandals

Now, nothing can be proven but I will never be shocked if it were ever established that some of that money ended back up in Obama's campaign war chest or the Democratic Party's war chest or what have you. That's how this bunch operates. That's what all the support for unions is all about, just a giant money laundering operation. All those government union employees pay dues, and those dues are what get sent to the Democratic Party or what is spent for and on behalf of the Democratic Party. The stimulus bill was a giant slush fund. It's the way these people operate.

The Heritage Foundation had a great piece today, their Morning Bell blog, on all of the sudden scandals and Obama investigations going on. How many of you know that Obama's under investigation on three separate matters right now? Let me sum this up here with their closing paragraph. A cross-border gunrunning scandal. That's Fast and Furious. And everybody knows what that was about. That was a back door attempt undermining the Second Amendment. The purpose of Fast and Furious was to get American guns, guns purchased in American gun stores in the hands of Mexican drug cartel thugs who would then use those American guns to kill people, which they did. The reaction was supposed to be genuine outrage on the part of the American people. "We've got to do something about these guns." The Democrats have lost the gun control issue but they have not forgotten it, and they want it back.

Folks, they despise having to concede the gun control argument. I mean remember in the 2004 campaign John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, shows up at some store in Iowa or Ohio somewhere, posing as a hunter, decked out in the official garb and shows up, (imitating Kerry) "Is this where I get me a huntin' license?" He doesn't speak that way, "get me a huntin' license." Polling data has shown for ten years that the country doesn't want any part of the Democratic Party's gun control message. So, 'cause they've lost it in the public mind they're trying to shape public opinion against it. There's no question in my mind that's what Fast and Furious is all about. And now there are secret tape-recordings that have been made about some of the participants in this thing that indicate people talking about, "This isn't going well, this is not what we intended," or some such thing, I don't have the exact quote in front of me. And that scandal keeps sprouting new branches on the tree, and that's being looked at.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep, if I were a betting man, I would bet my last pay check that Obama, the Democratic progressives, the union thugs, ACORN, and a host of other Marxists radicals got billions of dollars of the "so-called stimulus money" to help them steal the upcoming election by voter fraud or some other hook and crook scheme.

We are dealing with the most evil and corrupt administration in the history of our nation. And the sad truth is, they have gotten by with their corruption for so long and have gotten so good at stealing elections, etc., they no longer have any fear that any one on either side of the political aisle, or any one in the judicial system will have the "guts" to try and stop their fraudulent activities. And so they continue to destroy our nation untouched.

If a republican was in office the news media would making sure he would be impeached and hanged.

All he is doing now is on reelection mode, we the people better listen and look at what Obama is doing before you elect him back in, our Nation can not withstand another four years of Obama.

The reason the main stream media are not reporting these scandals is because the main stream media are owned by George Soros, who is public enemy number one.

It makes me sick how little people know about that evil man.  >:D

The surviving Second II Jews know...how he stole their property,
the Nazi's loved him for the damage he did to the European Jews...
His billions are made of their blood.
He hates America, as does the poser in the white house.
He and the poser are determined to make America, the United Social States of America, with a Nazi type dictator.

Remember how Richard Nixon was rounded up and impeached and for far less than Obungler has done. Nixon never tried to destroy us or America.

Nixon's mistake was trying to cover up and protect his party after they did something he had not known they were doing. He was protecting others, not throwing them under the bus. The Left didn't care. They hated him, and it was opportunity.

Clinton was well aware of the things he was doing. He tried covering up acts of his own doing.

Obama, he may not know have known about all the scandals that were developing, but he surrounded himself with unethical people. Gunwalker (fast and furious), Solyndra, ACORN, LightSquared, the Teamsters, etc. The man is a bad apple that is rotten to his core.

BTW, I saw he and Clinton were out Golfing yesterday. awe golfing, GOTUS (Golfer Of The United States)

Arrested for treason would be nice but Holder is as complicit as Obama.

Maybe we can get that Arizona sheriff to do it. At least he has some balls.

That's what I've been saying , TREASON ! Look at the " Solyndra "( whatever it's spelled ) . Why would he put pressure on his own people to give them 528 billion dollars ? Then to find out that one year later , they filed for bankruptcy ? Then find out that all the company secrete are now owned by China . The same country that Comrade Obama " borrowed " 4 trillion dollars , this spring . And he is buddy with the owner of the now " defunct " company , and the same buddy that gave him money for his election . They also found out that he was in with " SquaredBox " , ( or whatever the co.name is ) . It seems that most of those " Green jobs " are mostly gone . And most of those Co.'s , are turning up in China . Now the gun running of Holder . Isn't that enough to put him away for a long , long , long time ?
>:D
(http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=50981)

FYI...The US Constitution FRIMLY states any person in office who commits TREASON against the US and is convicted thereof; shall be executed forthwith (FIRM DEATH SENTENCE with NO PLEA BARGAIN allowed....

Great points and here's one you rarely hear china put the kabosh on our selling 63 jet aircraft to Taiwan what kind of boost would that have been for our economy a lot of jobs created for the private sector but no when the bank speaks you have to listen.

Meet the Hollywood Bully Who Heckled Bristol Palin
by John Nolte

Because too many of us have become desensitized to the vile attacks thrown at the Palin family on an almost daily basis, you have to sometimes imagine these things happening to someone else in order to fully to comprehend just how awful and ugly they are. Imagine it wasn't 21  year-old Bristol Palin in that bar being heckled by a Hollywood bully, but instead it was one of Barack Obama's beautiful young daughters being raged against by a tea partier.

"Your mother's a whore!" She's evil!" "Your mother's the f**king Devil!"

This is unthinkable ... and yet it happened.

And the 47 year-old coward who attacked this young mother isn't some street bum. According to TMZ his name is Stephen Hanks and according to his Twitter feed he runs Stephen Hanks Management in Los Angeles and one of his clients is no less than actor Michael Vartan, who some of you might recognize from the long-running television show "Alias."

Again, I want to go back to our hypothetical world where Stephen Hanks is a tea partier who screamed "Your mother's a whore!" at one of Barack Obama's daughters...

Would Hanks have a career in Hollywood tomorrow? Would the condemnations we're currently not seeing from anywhere in the industry be pouring in fast and furious? Would Michael Vartan drop him as his manager in disgust or in order to save his own career?

The answer to all of these questions is "of course!"

And who could blame anyone for having that kind of a reaction? I certainly wouldn't. If anyone in my life attacked one of President Obama's daughters like that and remained unrepentant it would certainly end our professional relationship and damage our personal one.

But in the real world where this attack was levelled at a Palin all Hanks did was enhance his Hollywood resume. This will likely help his career, which brings me to another point.

If you want to know why the Hollywood blacklist against conservatives is real and why Hollywood conservatives stay in the closet, look no further than The Stephen Hanks Management Company.

Even the L.A. Times' own blacklisting-denying blacklister Patrick Goldstein can't believe that a raging scumbag like Stephen Hanks would even consider doing business with a Palin supporter. Good heavens, he can't even stand having the Governor's own daughter on his turf.

Hanks' outrageously unacceptable behavior will not only be tolerated in Hollywood, many will celebrate it. And not based on principle. Again, this kind of attack waged on one of Barack Obama's daughters would bring a withering amount of condemnation.

It's partisanship, pure and simple.

Side note: I'm actually familiar with Stephen Hanks. He's one of the dumber, nastier and therefore memorable trolls who pops up in my Twitter feed every once in a while:

It's safe to assume that the "Andrew" he refers to there is Andrew Breitbart but you really have to wonder about how self-loathing a gay man has to be to taunt others in this way. He's using being gay as a pejorative. Interesting, no?

Stephen Hanks also is a hater and bully towards conservative women in general:

And naturally Stephen Hanks is a huge fan of The Worst Father In The World:

Hollywood scumbag,as most are!!!

Wow...Very impressive, Mr. Nolte. You've done some great investigative research and reporting. There's NO excusing this guy Hanks. What a degenerate and a loser. Obnoxious. I'm sure this piece will lead to a lot of talking and further reporting. I doubt it would have gone any further had it not been to your dedication.

Entertainment land is almost totally dominated by militant-homosexual Marxists and it doesn't take much to figure out that the only ones that become successful are the ones that are willing to carry water for them. It isn't paranoia, conspiracy theory or anything like that...just simple logic.

Dave Chappelle refused 50 million and literally ran away to Africa because this people wanted him to carry water for them and he refused. What Corey Feldman said is just the tip of the Iceberg.

Hate away all you want, don't blame me for using simple reason and logic. Entertainment land is a filthy rotten machine designed to remove from society the ability to function without Big Government. The threat that "evil baby-eating" Joseph McCarthy was fighting was and is very real.

Dave Chappelle on Inside Actors Studio :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHpsiSSNapQ
Dave Chappelle on Oprah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb1WUVAtseU
"Why are this people making us wear this dresses?!"

Good Catch - Stephen Hanks is obviously a Satanic demon-possessed homosexual and it must be that time of month for him. Or he has some severe STDs.

I have never seen "Alias" and now I never will. This queer little girly man can't pick on people his own size - no, he picks on young girls.
He is obviously a woman hater, and any actor using his service is as bad as he is. Birds of a feather flock together.
Like most of his kind, he is no doubt on some drugs and booze. Nobody in their right mind acts that way. He must hate himself and used the dope and alcohol to ease his pain.

Of course, Eric Holder would simply say, "he's one of my peeps" and laugh at it all.
I wish this queer girly boy the worst in everything.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Appoints 'Cold Case Posse' to Probe Obama's Birth Certificate
(http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=50990)

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has appointed a "cold case posse" to review information pertaining to President Barack Obama's birth certificate.

Sgt. Jesse Spurgin, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, confirmed the news to The Daily Caller Tuesday.

Spurgin explained that the tough-on-crime Arizona sheriff is tasking the posse with examining documents provided to Arpaio by author Jerome Corsi.

The goal of the inquest "is to determine whether there appears to be enough evidence to move forward with an investigation or — and this is more likely the case — whether another governmental entity might be a better choice to investigate these claims," Spurgin explained.

Two members of the posse "will review, not investigate, the documents given to Sheriff Arpaio by Dr. Corci [sic] and his fellow associates," according to Spurgin.

What is wrong with the American people? How can you put someone into the highest office in the land without knowing 100% for sure that he was born in the USA? Should something like this not have been checked out before installing him into office? Wake up America!

It is sad that the democrats were able to do it, but not all criminals are dumb. The democratic party has managed to repeatedly rape America since He took office
SINCE THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BEGAN.

The one and only reason for this man to be elected to the White House, was for America to realize where we are, what we need to do and come back to the constitution and the God formed foundation for which our Republic was based on. We have forgotten that if it were not for God's creation of the United States, we would not have the privilege of living here in the most blessed nation in the world. We have taken our nation for granted and forgotten the God who has provided so generously for us. Keep in mind folks, that He will not let this nonsense go forever. We need to get our personal houses in order and our government back to the principles it was founded on. Just go to the Supreme Court and view the Ten Commandments. I dare the ones trying to rid us of them to take that down. Let's get real, when we forget God, He will not remember us either. I pray constantly for God to heal our land and place the right person over us. I hope we have learned our lesson. I urge you to do the same.

We have already turned our backs on GOD so he is just setting back and watching things play out, we have taken GOD out of our SCHOOLS, we have MURDERED over 53 MILLION BABIES and now some STATES has legalized SAME SEX MARRIAGE and now they are flaunting their GAY LIFE STYLES back in out faces in our military, all of which goes against GODS WORD so won't be long till we end up as SODOM & GOMORAH, about the only thing that's holding that back is we still support ISRAEL, once we no longer support them we are pretty much finished then comes our JUDGEMENT DAY!

We need a New revival in our beloved country.God wants to fellowship with us, He wants us to go to him. Glen Beck is right.
We must get on our knees and Pray, ask the Almighty to smite those that are persecuting us and forgive the rest of us for taking things for granted and falling asleep behind the wheel.

A Negative Attitude Toward the Tea Party

We have to thank Rep. Maxine Waters
(http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=50992)
and Jimmy Hoffa Jr.

Earlier this month, Jimmy Hoffa said this at a Detroit rally for Obama: "President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong." Then Obama came...

Their negative attitude toward the tea party made headline news. It brought publicity to the tea party concept. I'm confident the majority of our population has little faith in the credibility of Ms. Waters or Mr. Hoffa. Testimony suggesting the tea parties can "go to hell" is typical of what makes news. The positive aspects derived from the tea party's activities never make headlines in the mainstream media.

Tea party is not a party. It's a concept. It is apparent many of our politicians are intimidated with this fast-growing concept. Millions of us are becoming concerned with the direction in which our country is going. The tea party concept consists of like-minded people who are typically concerned with the lack of moral and ethical values, excessive spending, government regulations and the list goes on.

A negative attitude towards the tea party is a negative attitude towards the US constitution , because their main goal is to reestablish the constitutional limits on a runaway out of control government PERIOD.

Again, the Tea Party is an emotional expression of like-minded Patriotic Americans that have had enough of this "government is to big to fail" attitude that they think they can rein in people and have them be ruled by dictation. That will fail, because it causes the human psyche to revolt or rebel. People have been awakened to this progressive mind numbing over the years and now have seen the error of their ways.
It is being changed right in front of the Lefty's eyes and they lash out by saying that "the tea party can go straight to hell". Obviously Maxine Water's demons inside of her mind are telling her to spew this hatred upon God fearing Christian's...so that tells me a lot about her loyalty to this country..."so help me God".

Satan,I speak...these above here are my children!

What does the Beast look like?
When Satan comes to earth in a visible body he will be glorious, impressive, attractive and charismatic.

People will recognize that he is stronger and more majestic than a mere human being. People will be convinced by their senses that Satan is God. The book of Revelation calls him the beast.

The beast will speak in a melodious voice and he will have friendly, loving eyes. He will be gentle and kind. His appearance will dazzle and charm people. He will be extremely powerful.

The Beast will look like God
People will believe that the beast is God. They will be entranced and drawn to him. They will have an almost irresistible desire to worship the beast.

"And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name." Revelation 13:1

When Satan comes to earth looking like God and claiming to be God, he will have seven symbolic heads. Each head will have a blasphemous name.

Blasphemy is claiming to be God when you aren't God. Satan will claim to be God even though he is not God. He will give himself seven names that are variations of God's name.

The 10 horns that the beast has are 10 of Satan's leading demons. These 10 demons will be kings and rule with Satan. This is why each of them is wearing a crown.

"There Are Two Ways To Enslave A Country.... One Is By The Sword. The Other Is By Debt." — John Adams

This famous quote by John Adams was made over 200 years ago.
Could it be any less true today?
Look at the U.S. deficit.
We are trillions of dollars in debt and have become enslaved.
On Thursday, September 8, President Obama addressed congress and the nation.
His answer for fixing the economy?
Spend more money of course.
Lets add $500 billion more to our debt and see if that does the trick.
When will Washington figure out that this spending frenzy must end.

From the Left...

The heated Democratic race for president has attracted high-profile endorsements like no race before. With so many boldfaced names speaking out, giving money and hitting the campaign trail on behalf of Barack Obama it can be hard to keep them straight. Below are Huffington Post's Top Ten Celebrity Obama Supporters.

Top 10 Celebrity Obama Supporters
>:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D

1.) Oprah: Obama is the first candidate she has endorsed in her 25 year career. She's campaigned for him, with him and threw a celebrity fundraiser at her California home that collected an estimated $3 million.

2.) will.i.am: The Black Eye Peas' singer wrote the songs "Yes We Can" and "We are the Ones" based on Sen. Obama's speeches. The songs' viral videos gave a platform for dozens of others celebrity fans.

3.) The Kennedy Women: Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg caused a frenzy penning "A President Like My Father" for the New York Times. Cousin Maria Shriver stumps for Obama despite her McCain-endorsing husband.

4.) Ben Affleck: In March Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner threw a glitzy fundraiser for Sen. Obama. Last year Affleck told MSNBC "Hollywood loves Obama." He, along with Matt Damon, was a judge for MoveOn.org's "Obama in 30 Seconds" competition.

5.) George Clooney: A self-proclaimed "Obama guy" Clooney says the senator has the "aura of a rock star." He appeared with Obama at a panel on Darfur in '06 and has often voiced support, although he says celebrity endorsements can do more harm than good.

6.) Scarlett Johansson: The actress sang in the "Yes We Can" video, has recorded phone messages and campaigned in Iowa. She joked she was "engaged to Barack Obama." In March's W she repeated her support as "The Other Boleyn Girl" Portman endorsed Clinton.

7.) Samuel L. Jackson: The actor skipped the Academy Awards to campaign for Sen. Obama in Texas last month. "We need somebody the world relates to in a very real kind of way," said Jackson. He has donated $4300 to the senator's campaign.

8.) Chris Rock: The comedian introduced Sen. Obama at an event in Harlem, not too far from the Clinton campaign headquarters. He has donated $4600 to Sen. Obama's campaign.

9.) Robert De Niro: The actor endorsed Sen. Obama at a New Jersey fundraiser and has defended him against allegations of inexperience, saying that a candidate who hadn't gotten his country into war had "the kind of inexperience I can get used to."

10.) Jennifer Aniston: The "Friends" icon has donated $2300 to Sen. Obama's campaign. Perhaps she's just keeping it in the extended family, as ex-husband Brad Pitt was recently revealed to be Obama's ninth cousin.

These Democrats can't even understand what obama is doing to this country...  :(

Holder Subpoenaed in Fast and Furious Case
Wednesday, 12 Oct 2011 12:20 PM

Attorney General Eric Holder is hiding information on the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal, top Congressional investigator Rep. Darrell Issa charged on Wednesday as he issued long-expected subpoenas to find out more.

"It's time we knew the whole truth," Issa, the California Republican who chairs the House Oversight Committee, said.

Issa's 22-point subpoena reaches right into the White House. One of his demands is for "all communication between Department of Justice employees and Executive Office of the President employees referring or relating to the President's March 22, 2011 interview with Jorge Ramos of Univision."

In that interview, President Barack Obama insisted that neither he nor Holder had authorized Fast and Furious.

In issuing the subpoenas, Issa said, "Top Justice Department officials, including Attorney General Holder, know more about Operation Fast and Furious than they have publicly acknowledged.

"The documents this subpoena demands will provide answers to questions that Justice officials have tried to avoid since this investigation began eight months ago."

Under the subpoena, Issa told Holder he wants a slew of documents relating to the scheme under which agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were told not to intervene to stop guns bought in the United States crossing the border into Mexico. The plan was to trace the weapons in the hope they would lead them to leaders of vicious drug cartels.

But the plan spectacularly misfired and hundreds of assault weapons went missing. They have been used in dozens of crimes in Mexico – and at least 12 in the United States.

U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry was killed in a shootout on the Arizona border in December and immigration officer Jaime Zapata who was working out of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City was shot dead in April both with guns bought under the scheme.

The subpoenas cover all communications between 16 named Justice Department officials, including Holder. They also demand communications between the DOJ and Obama's Assistant Communications Director Eric Schultz.

Other Fast and Furious documents that Issa is demanding include communications from the U.S. Attorney's office in Phoenix to and from four officials, including former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke who resigned in August.

Issa's letter also specifically mentions that he needs to see documents relating to Zapata's murder, although he does not specifically mention Terry's death.

He also has demanded surveillance tapes from the Lone Wolf Trading Co. store in Glendale, Ariz. for four days in October 2010.

Lone Wolf is one of the stores where guns were bought under Fast and Furious. Last month CBS News acquired tapes believed to have been made in March this year in which the store's owner Andre Howard discusses ways of stymieing the House investigation with ATF special agent Hope MacAllister.

Rep. Gosar: Holder's Alibi Shows He's Lying or Useless
Wednesday, 12 Oct 2011 07:50 PM

Attorney General Eric Holder should lose his job because his own statements on the Fast and Furious scandal show that he is either a liar or a failure, Rep. Paul Gosar tells Newsmax in an exclusive interview.

"He needs to resign," the Arizona Republican said. "I don't see there is a way here that facilitates good, conscientious oversight at the Department of Justice.

"If he had no oversight and he knew nothing about this, he was incompetent. If he knew about this, then he was lying — and that's perjury."

Holder told the House Justice Committee in May that he had known about Operation Fast and Furious for only "a few weeks," but newly released emails show he was told in July 2010. The attorney general now says he did not read those emails, which he said were routine briefings that went into no detail.

Gosar, a member of the House Oversight Committee, was speaking within hours of subpoenas being issued by committee Chairman Darrell Issa requiring reams of internal documents that should show what Holder knew about the Mexican gunrunning scheme. Issa, a California Republican, also has alleged that Holder has shown incompetence regarding Fast and Furious and wants to know exactly when the attorney general learned about it.

"If it was mainstream America that had done this, they ought to be in jail and having to prove that they are innocent," said Gosar, whose district covers Flagstaff and vast swaths of rural Arizona, the state at the center of the Fast and Furious project.

"If there is one thing that the America needs, it's confidence in their bureaucrats, that they stand by the same rules that they are enforcing on other people."

Holder verbally attacked Gosar last week for his comments that administration officials are "accessories to murder" for allowing Fast and Furious, the scheme that saw hundreds of powerful weapons fall into the hands of violent Mexican drug cartels.

Two U.S. agents — Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and Immigration officer Jaime Zapata — were killed with weapons that should have been traced under the project but were lost.

In his Newsmax interview, Gosar refused to retract his statement. "I stand by those remarks," he said. "When people have died, someone has to take accountability.

"This is the first time that . . . I know of . . . that we lose American citizens their lives, plus Mexican people their lives, because we put guns — not just little guns, .50-caliber weapons, AK47s, these are military-like weapons — in the hands of criminals and then we did no surveillance or tracking.

"We were just asking for a problem to happen. Deaths have occurred, and they will continue," he predicted.

"These weapons have shown up at crime scenes in greater metropolitan Phoenix, where they have been used to orchestrate crimes. We've seen it in El Paso, Texas, plus we have seen it on the other side of the border, with over 150 Mexicans losing their lives.

"We put our men and women on the ground . . . in harm's way because now [the cartels] have got more weapons and higher-powered weapons that over-arm them versus our sheriffs and police officers."

Gosar, a freshman congressman affiliated with the tea party, said he is confident that the real story of who authorized the failed scheme will eventually come out. "It has to. I don't think there is a choice," he said.

He vowed that the committee will submit all of the paperwork that surfaces under the 22-point subpoena to painstaking review. "There are consequences here and what we have to do is follow the information, find the facts, make sure the American people and Congress are provided with those facts and then make a decision based on those facts."

Gosar said he does not know whether the cover-up goes all the way into the White House, but he is sure that Holder is not telling the whole truth. And other Cabinet members, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, also should have known about the gunrunning program, he said.

"Something is very wrong here," he said. "Mr. Holder said he was briefed on it a couple of weeks before his testimony when it is obvious that his aides had very intricate knowledge and very minuscule details on Fast and Furious way back last year.

"He should have known about this.

"To me it seems that you are dealing with a foreign country, so the secretary of State should have been involved. Then there's the security of our southern borders, that's the Homeland Security secretary, as well as the attorney general.

"That seems like this was a Cabinet-level decision, so it seems like everybody should have been in there and we really want to make sure that discourse is transparent to the American people."

Gosar would not be drawn into addressing the claim of Arizona State Sen. Frank Antenori, who told Fox News he believes that Holder's announcement of an Iranian terror plot on Tuesday was timed to take attention away from the subpoenas.

But he did say, "It's great to take accountability for your successes but you also need to take responsibility for something that you did wrong."
