I'm not sure I would go with "mega" volume.  It is up, but remains less than .5 mil per day.  It has the look of folks fishing for a bottom, and hoping to get a bounce.  There are quite a few similar stocks posted on this board, some with up to $100 mil in daily volume.  Some may bounce, while others disappear.  Tread carefully as it may have farther to fall.

their technology is great but they still need to land some contracts to stop the debt and bleeding
recent shares could be more hitting the market i heard they could go up to 16+billion o/s? i don't remember the exact number.... they are still broke and selling to get by
i'm too worried these guys will r/s after they are done with this financing to put themselves in better possition if their technology is about to explode....
they can move but they will need huge huge volume every day to go anywhere along side good news.

Finally, CNES had many buys just recently go thru at .0005, where i picked some up when the move happened.  Maybe something is finally in the works.

Couldn't find any news on it. Anyone else in?  How high do u think it could go?

thanks very much,

julia

it has made a rally but latest round of financing could keep it held down under the moving averages seen on the chart. they could really box it in the .0001-.0002 range who knows and make a killing on the spread. seeing it close above these moving lines would be the best sign of strength i've seen from the stock... however with latest dilution to send it into the teens of billions.... billions.... well i'm too afraid they will r/s to get in order when their wireless meter reading technology is really ready for some clients... i sold out last time at .0009 and did buy some at .0003 for a % flip but these guys are just hammering it will shares...  ::)

thanks for your comments doyerdiligence, if it does that, then i guess i will just have to hold for awhile until it does something pretty.

thanks,

H-Net(TM) core is a unique proprietary architecture that allows for two-way communications between our advanced MeterSystem and the C-NES(TM) Network Operation Center. Because the only thing to fear at .0001 is a r/s. not to say .0001 would pay off so fast or should be bought as they could box it in for a few months if need be to accumulate the massive shares count.
Who knows maybe it will pop tomorrow and make a nice poke to the upside, but i have been looking for .0001 since back in aug of last year so i'm in no hurry to buy yet.

I sold half as well...at .0007 when it started to drop...tried to sell at .0009 and then .0008, but didnt take...but its ok...I think this will continue moivng next week so i decided to hold my remaining shares. Maybe this is just the start of a nice move soon to come ;D

The news from Jan 31 finally kicked in i guess....strange upon the news there was a sell off...scared me...but, then it just hit hard with great volume on friday.

It hit a high of about 230%, but closed up 100%...very nice ;D

In that case, lets try again......  .01 would be nice ;D...lol...hey...u never know with these pennies. :D

but, seriously it is looking good for more...lots of rumours going around such as this from another board:

Let me say this, any contract that CNES officially secures within the days ahead with any utility company, energy provider, etc., is going to cause their entire float to turn over many times possibly in only a few trading days or less. If that happens, it will send the pps above 0.005, and maybe even to .01 or higher, imo.

Some rumors which are circulating indicate a partnership with Northrop Grumman or GE deal could right around the corner which may explain the record-setting volume.

** ** ** ** ** **

Northrop Grumman's teammates for the automated meter reading and wireless network projects include Hexagram, Inc., National Metering Services, Inc.; and Tropos Networks.

GE's Smart Metering Approach:
-Our business is Metering
-Have been in meters since 1898
-Committed to metering
-Continuously investing in new products development & acquisition

GE's AMR strategy
-AMR technology neutral greatest flexibility
-Partnering with best AMR & Systems vendors for complete solution
-Have integrated all significant AMR technologies
(PLC, RF, TEL)
-Have worked with all major AMR vendors:
DCSI, Hunt, ITRON, Motorola, Nertec, Silver Spring
Network,Tantalus
-Looking to continue on and expand with same strategy
GE's Smart metering experience is very diversified
"

o/s is large for CNES, but with great volume..anything can happen ;D

Yes, lots of rumors. In at 0.0004 and out at 0.0007. Wanted to book profits. Will be watching it closely for an entry. This moved really fast last week.

Still looking good and holding half my shares...im thinking with this volume it wants to go higher..hate to sell another sub penny too early as i always seem to do.

I hope i'm right...it keeps trying to break that .001...i think if it does it could do very well imo.

Come on! Let's blow the lid off this one! ;D

Hey Doyer,

I sold the rest of my shares today..just becasue when i see sell offs..i panic and sell..sometimes i lose alot when i do that and sometimes i lose more when i don't ;D

Anyway, i thought, well..maybe i'll get back in at a better price...but, i was watching the t&s and although there appeared to be alot of buying going on at .0006 after the selloff..the pps didnt seem to be going up...is there perhaps dilution going on?...i don't know, thiis is just me speculating. THen just after market close i noticed several 9mil trades at .0005...again..is it dilution..or just selling? And why do i always see 9mil shares trades on these sub pennies..is that an mm thing?

So at this point i will just be observing...if and  when i see the pps going back up...i may then rebuy...just thought i would give u heads up  on what i noticed today...of course i could be completely wrong...but, u decide for urself.

i know they have billions of share o/s and a/s so u may want to look into that further.

julia

why did you sell your shares today if they were free shares? you shouldn't need to panic when you are riding free, might as well just sold all of them on the .0008-.001 pop

yes it appears to me there was some buying too, dilution has always been a factor for CNES and this is well known over the last year. It's because their technology is legit but they have yet to licence it to develope nice revenues, all they need is to score a contract with GE and it will go bang. I've even heard there could be something in the works with GE. So dilution means little when the stock starts trading such massive volume and number of trades a day. It becomes very liquid and sometimes you can get a run like USXP. here i'll show you an example with number of trades (first number is yesterdays (mondays) trades per day, then continues for each of the previous 50 days)
#trades : usxp : 3623 4601 6197 937 706 385 103 133 194 138 225 333 669 470 338 93 93 65 50 58 105 61 75 67 73 157 157 80 72 139 79 79 89 90 128 106 433 44 51 68 76 120 521 74 54 80 123 122 52 51
#trades : ivoc : 661 659 72 65 63 120 64 97 49 85 27 63 21 32 31 31 23 28 63 17 19 21 23 17 201 201 70 58 58 30 30 26 29 45 20 21 31 37 25 18 20 46 34 33 32 60 30 44 23 14
#trades : cnes : 1186 1711 94 65 82 61 39 23 23 35 128 25 106 28 14 56 93 56 56 15 19 13 22 22 15 21 42 31 12 17 17 14 16 10 24 73 42 19 27 26 37 106 14 12 14 14 11 7 16 18

now usxp is a multi billion shares outstanding company too, but you can see what can happen when you see a steady influx of number of trades per day. IVOC and CNES are just starting to heat up trades wise along with the rest of the subs market, so time will tell if they can develope a stronger trend.
also those 9mill blocks you notice i think are just the max it can show on the last sales streamer, so if you wanted to buy in 90mill worth of shares it would probably send through 10 blocks of 9mill.

Julia,

the 9 million things over and over again freaked me out to and I sold all mine for a small 500 dollar profit.  Had two different chances to dump it all at 9 or 10 and got greedy.
Title: Re: CNES sudden mega volume what's up
Post by: doyerdiligence on February 07, 2006, 11:00:40 PM
it shouldn't freak you out, all of the large shares outstanding subpennies trade like that. when you think about the big groups with huge liquidity it only makes sense, the 9mill blocks are just smaller blocks in an overall larger buy or sell order. It's not unique to CNES

gnlbigte i get the trade data from a server my friend runs where he stores all the data, right now the number of trades and average volume among other things are only accessable directly from the server. We have been working on a site and right now the scanner only shows the single days number of trade data, i will mention to him on expanding this feature. you can look around on the site but it's still a work in progress and not everything is complete.

Hey doyerdilligence,

Actually they weren't all free shares,...and i just wanted to make some profit today..thinking if it kept on dropping i could rebuy...or if it looks like a buying frenzy is starting..i will rebuy again.

But, like i said..i dont' know whats going on, but, i will keep watching it of course..would hate to miss it if it turns out to be another run like USXP :D

oicpecnoc...ya..i should have sold as well at .001....ahhh..that 20/20 hindsight ;D

But, i thought it would eventually break past the .001 today...didnt do it..so thats what scared me,then the drop and sell off...although it was pretty much a down day across the board...so who knows, maybe very soon there will be news of a contract..i heard those rumours as well...would be great. ;D

My eye is still on CNES...so..i hope it does run...run wild!!! ;D

Go CNES Go!!! ;D ;D

yup a lot of stocks were down today....
but in the long run you might find that days like today ended up being a nice buy opportunity in many a stocks
i know for sure it's much harder to fill on the bid with an AON order when the stock is moving back up, so i don't mind taking a risk on red days like today to try and fill some shares at lower prices.
don't worry about pull backs when you are confident in your plays, most of the time they are nice buy ops, especially when you identify a trend and swing play a trade.

ahh just ameriturd is my online client. i have a few other brokers i have to phone into that charge 3% each way but allow me to see true level 2 spread. Ameritrade should be ok for pennies... i've never heard anything good from my friends with scottrade and pennies, they all have switched.
you can also look at teranova system... although i'm not sure how good they are for OTC or if they allow it at all, but i know they are great for nasdaq and bigger cap type plays. I'll be opening an account with terra soon.

i had my order sitting at .0015 when .0013 was on the ask, wanted to sell half of my shares today in this action and as soon as the ask came to .0015 they scooped them so fast, i couldn't believe it. I've never seen them take them off the ASK that quickly. That made me feel we still had more of a run in store for us, and todays close makes me feel it could go more. But really now that i'm all free shares and some profits, now all thats left is to sit back and wait for a moon shot!

hey i'm not quite sure what you mean by 'reco-ed by sharpeyes today'
care to explain a little, thanks :>

my opinion on it is that personally i have rebought .0011 and .0012 today and will add more if it dips over the next few days. I do believe this will end up being support range and we could see it push above .003 if the trend continues to develope. I have to stay with the idea of an uptrend and if tomorrow is red again i will not be scared to add more or wait it out. Just like .0005 was a good rebuy after it's first run up to .001, now that we tagged .0027 on huge volume i think the odds are this level will end up being short term support. Yesterday already saw a bounce from .0012 to back over .002. That is a good indication of accumulation and will help further establish an uptrend. I was expecting this explosion in number of trades and it looks like it started this week.
todays number of trades was 1854 - here are the previous 50 days

What are the forcasts on CNES?

I bought last week. I should have sold when it hit 0.0025 late last week, but no...! Now it's hit a LOD of 0.001. Will it bounce back?

i think so but it could be awhile... latest company forcast talks about may-june....
maybe we will uptrend untill then, but they also could keep it in this range to shake out people over .002 and accumulate more before the next stage up. i see no reason why it wouldn't break .003, it's only a matter of time. as long as number of trades and volume stays big.

# of trades (50days) : cnes : 778 1420 2238 1287 927 1835 4604 2463 131 155 98 120 120 203 117 300 85 116 440 359 745 1186 1711 94 65 82 61 39 23 23 35 128 25 106 28 14 56 93 56 56 15 19 13 22 22 15 21 42 31 12

even if it takes a cool off period again you can see the bold numbers of trades is steadly increasing
