Hello !

DNAPrint genomics' Business Partner Biofrontera AG Completes 20 Million Euro Bond Placement
Tuesday September 6, 7:00 am ET

SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- DNAPrint(tm) genomics, Inc. (OTC BB:DNAG.OB - News), which holds an 18% stake in German pharmaceutical company Biofrontera AG, today announced that Biofrontera has completed a 20 million euro bond placement.

The bonds began trading on the Frankfurt exchange on Wednesday, August 31, under the symbol (ISIN DE 000 A0E 964 9). If Biofrontera completes a public offering in the future, each purchaser in the offering at 100 euros can convert to 6.2 shares of Biofrontera stock. This conversion rate attributes a price of 16.13 euros per share to the Biofrontera common shares. If this accurately represents the fair market value of the Biofrontera common stock, then DNAPrint's 455,179 shares of Biofrontera stock, which it acquired for 1.5 million euros in July 2005, would now be valued at approximately 7.3 million euros.

``We believe our investment in Biofrontera will prove to be beneficial to DNAPrint genomics and to our shareholders,'' said DNAPrint genomics President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gabriel. ``It validates our decision to build a collaborative relationship with Biofrontera in advance of its anticipated initial public offering.''

``Biofrontera is an excellent business partner for us because of its drug-product pipeline,'' said Hector J. Gomez, Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Medical Officer at DNAPrint genomics. ``We are pleased with our relationship with Biofrontera, and we have the highest confidence in its management team. We are confident the new funding will assist Biofrontera in advancing its drugs into the market.''

Mr. Gabriel and Dr. Gomez both are members of Biofrontera's Board of Directors.

``DNAPrint genomics, Inc. and its support were crucial to our securing this new financing,'' said Prof. Hermann Lubbert, Chief Executive Officer of Biofrontera AG. ``We look forward to building our relationship with DNAPrint and believe that the synergy of the two companies and their technologies may offer a faster, cheaper and more effective way to develop drugs,'' he concluded.

Biofrontera already is in Phase II clinical trials for its lead product, an anti-itch compound for chronic Urticaria, or chronic itching. It also has a Phase II clinical trial compound for pre-cancerous skin lesions. In addition, Biofrontera has advanced several compounds to pre-clinical development, including a novel prophylactic migraine treatment.

In my only post on here this is one of my big picks for future. Hold it for several years. This and BLYC.ob

Though the DNAG might have more potential once they get the drugs on market. Look at what
Genentech Inc. (DNA)
did.

$41-$94 in less then 1 year. Once DNAG gets the ball rolling. It will skyrocket up so fast you won't be able to get in anymore.

Buy it when people bash the stock. That is only chance to get it for pennies.

Opened a position at $.0257.  ;)  I agree that the stock is oversold.  The company is loosing money, but something big must be brewing.

A 20 Million Euro Bond Placement for Biofrontera is significant and DNA Print has an 18% stake in Biofrontera, which may have a public offering.

"If Biofrontera completes a public offering in the future, each purchaser in the offering at 100 euros can convert to 6.2 shares of Biofrontera stock".

This is a lot of seed money.  They must have a high expectation of Biofrontera having a public offering.

IMO  This would cause DNAG stock to greatly appreciate from it's puny $1.8MM market cap.

I bought this stock at an average of 0.22 before DNAG split 20-1. Then the price slipped down to as low as 0.065. Now it is climbing up. Do you think that this stock will go as high as 0.12 or would it at least go back to its original 0.22.

Higherstocks,

Do you think this will go higher than its initial 0.22 in the coming weeks? As I said I bought it before the split of 20 to 1 and that was low at that time. I just want to know if it will regain at least its original value.

Thanks for all your help.

Im not sure but I do know that this is way oversold.  If I were you I would buy more at this level and really bank.  Nothing is 100% but when I see RSI so low it is almost a given that when it does rebound it will explode.

This is like the best OTC stock you can buy along with BLYC.ob

I think someone is shorting this stock every day or a group of people are doing it. How do you stop it?

Ive seen stuff like this happen. No bad news on the stock is out. You just got people shorting it. I hate those people that do that. That's when you have no brains to pick a stock, you gotta make money the easy way.

Someone should email DNAG and let them know about it, and ask what they can do to investgate it.

This stock is on the Nasdaq short list every single day.

I've been holding on to this stock for the longest time. It cost me an average of 0.22 before the 20 to 1 split. since then its been going downhill. I am a believer in this product and also in the success of the company. But i also believe that there are some people who are shorting this stock on a daily basic. My investment is worth no more than a couple hundred dollars today. I would like to know if we can do something such as contacting the company or something to inform them of the situation and our dissatisfaction. :o :( >:(

Good luck to all.

What has compounded the problem, is that the company continues to sell shares to raise capital.

However, the price to book value is now 1.2 to 1, since book value is $0.015, according to Yahoo!Finance.

I'm holding at least until the end of the week.  You never know, $.0161 may end up being a 52-week low.  :D

DNAG begins a radio advertising campaign and looks to be increasing PR.  I take it this is an AM news station.  Maybe the 52-week low has already been reached at $.0125 the other day.  Yesterday, it looks like it bounced a little.

Two up days an increasing RSI is a good sign.  We need this to move across 30 and it will attract alot of buyers.  If we do indeed have another up day tommorrow which moves through RSI 30 it should explode.  What happens is when it crosses 30 it hits alot of scans and you get alot buying pressure.  Lets see if this will happen with DNAG.

Title: Re: DNAG

Relative Strength Index (RSI) is an extremely useful and popular momentum oscillator. The RSI compares the magnitude of a stock's recent gains to the magnitude of its recent losses and turns that information into a number that ranges from 0 to 100. It takes a single parameter, the number of time periods to use in the calculation. In his book, Wilder recommends using 14 periods.

The RSI's full name is actually rather unfortunate as it is easily confused with other forms of Relative Strength analysis such as John Murphy's "Relative Strength" charts and IBD's "Relative Strength" rankings. Most other kinds of "Relative Strength" stuff involve using more than one stock in the calculation. Like most true indicators, the RSI only needs one stock to be computed. In order to avoid confusion, many people avoid using the RSI's full name and just call it "the RSI."

Calculation

To simplify the formula, the RSI has been broken down into its basic components which are the Average Gain, the Average Loss, the First RS, and the subsequent Smoothed RS's.

For a 14-period RSI, the Average Gain equals the sum total all gains divided by 14. Even if there are only 5 gains (losses), the total of those 5 gains (losses) is divided by the total number of RSI periods in the calculation (14 in this case). The Average Loss is computed in a similar manner.

Calculation of the First RS value is straightforward: divide the Average Gain by the Average Loss. All subsequent RS calculations use the previous period's Average Gain and Average Loss for smoothing purposes. See the "Smoothed RS" formula above for details. The table below illustrates the formula in action.

(Click here for an Excel spreadsheet with this example in it.)

Here's how lines 14 and 15 were calculated:

Note: It is important to remember that the Average Gain and Average Loss are not true averages! Instead of dividing by the number of gaining (losing) periods, total gains (losses) are always divided by the specified number of time periods - 14 in this case.

When the Average Gain is greater than the Average Loss, the RSI rises because RS will be greater than 1. Conversely, when the average loss is greater than the average gain, the RSI declines because RS will be less than 1. The last part of the formula ensures that the indicator oscillates between 0 and 100. Note: If the Average Loss ever becomes zero, RSI becomes 100 by definition.

Important Note: The more data points that are used to calculate the RSI, the more accurate the results. The smoothing factor is a continuous calculation that - in theory - takes into account all of the closing values in the data set. If you start an RSI calculation in the middle of an existing data set, your values will only approximate the true RSI value. SharpCharts uses at least 250 data points prior to the starting date of any chart (assuming that much data exists) when calculating its RSI values. To duplicate its RSI number, you'll need to use at least that much data also.

Use

Overbought/Oversold
Wilder recommended using 70 and 30 and overbought and oversold levels respectively. Generally, if the RSI rises above 30 it is considered bullish for the underlying stock. Conversely, if the RSI falls below 70, it is a bearish signal. Some traders identify the long-term trend and then use extreme readings for entry points. If the long-term trend is bullish, then oversold readings could mark potential entry points.

Divergences
Buy and sell signals can also be generated by looking for positive and negative divergences between the RSI and the underlying stock. For example, consider a falling stock whose RSI rises from a low point of (for example) 15 back up to say, 55. Because of how the RSI is constructed, the underlying stock will often reverse its direction soon after such a divergence. As in that example, divergences that occur after an overbought or oversold reading usually provide more reliable signals.

Centerline Crossover
The centerline for RSI is 50. Readings above and below can give the indicator a bullish or bearish tilt. On the whole, a reading above 50 indicates that average gains are higher than average losses and a reading below 50 indicates that losses are winning the battle. Some traders look for a move above 50 to confirm bullish signals or a move below 50 to confirm bearish signals.

Example

The DELL example shows a number of extreme readings as well as a negative divergence. In Oct-99, RSI reached oversold for a brief moment to mark the low around 38. The next extreme reading (overbought) occurred after a large advance that peaked in Dec-99. RSI reached overbought levels in late Dec-99 and moved below 50 by the second week of Jan-00. The next oversold reading occurred in Feb. for another brief moment and marked the low around 35. By the end of Feb-00, RSI moved back above 50 and into overbought territory in March. A negative divergence formed in March and marked the high in the upper fifties.

Forensics Technology Assists Police in Identifying Suspect in California Double Murder
Oct 3, 2005 7:00:00 AM
2005 PrimeZone Media Network
SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- DNAPrint genomics, Inc. (OTCBB:DNAG) today confirmed that its DNAWITNESS forensics technology narrowed down a list of potential suspects during a police investigation that led to an arrest in the murder of two women in Napa, Calif.

The brutal stabbings of Leslie Ann Mazzara and Adriane Michelle Insogna, both 26, in a home they shared in the Northern California community, had stumped police for nearly 11 months because the women had no known enemies and there was no apparent motive. Police had speculated that the killer knew one or both of the victims.

Being held in custody was a man identified by authorities as Eric Matthew Copple, 26, of Napa. Police conducted more than 1,300 interviews during the investigation and collected DNA samples from 218 individuals, all men who had social or work contact with all three roommates who lived in the home. A third woman escaped unharmed during the Nov. 1, 2004, attack and called police.

The California Department of Justice Crime Lab and DNAPrint genomics previously determined that an analysis of blood samples collected at the crime scene indicated that the suspect was a male. Forensic evidence also pointed to a killer who smoked Camel Turkish Gold cigarettes, a hybrid of the popular cigarette brand. NapaPolice issued a statement to the media on Sept. 22, 2005, saying that DNAPrint genomics' forensics laboratory had further determined that the ancestry of the person of interest was white with 96% Northern European ancestry and 4% Southeastern European.

"We received a DNA sample from the Napa Police on Nov. 23, 2004 and returned the results of our DNAWITNESS analysis two days later," stated DNAPrint genomics President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gabriel. "More recently, the case was revisited when DNAPrint was asked to analyze the sample with our EUROWitness technology to further refine the information. With information from DNAPrint, the Napa Police Department did a media release describing a white male adult who smokes or did smoke Camel Turkish Brand Cigarettes."

The San Francisco Chronicle newspaper reported that Napa Police Department Investigations Bureau Commander Jeff Troendy confirmed that DNA-related evidence and the media release led to the arrest of Copple. Troendy was quoted as saying, "The media release last week helped us get to this point, sometimes things happen very quickly."

DNAPrint genomics Receives Notice of Allowance for Patent for Processing Gene Sequence Data
10/27/2005 07:00
SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- DNAPrint genomics, Inc. (OTCBB: DNAG), a developer of genomics-based products and services, today announced that it has been granted a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its patent application for Efficient Methods and Apparatus for High-Throughput Processing of Gene Sequence Data.

"Though we are all 99.9% identical at the level of our DNA, it is the 0.1% difference called polymorphism that accounts for our individuality," stated Tony N. Frudakis, Ph.D., DNAPrint's founder and Chief Scientific Officer. "The technology our patent application covers relates to methods useful for measuring polymorphisms in and around genes that are part of large gene families, a task that traditionally has been problematic for the molecular genetics community."

Geneticists use "molecular addresses" to query and study specific genes much like a postman uses a street address to find the recipient of a letter. The methods covered in the patent are useful when there are several genes with the same or substantially similar "sequence" addresses. Many of the genes that are involved in drug metabolism and response are members of large gene families.

This is the first patent for which the Company applied. The methods covered in the application, first drafted in 2001, were originally developed to power DNAPrint's unique approach to pharmacogenomics research, which is aimed at understanding why people respond uniquely to drugs.

About DNAPrint genomics, Inc.

DNAPrint genomics, Inc. (www.dnaprint.com) is a developer of genomics-based products and services focused on drug development, pharmacogenomic diagnostic tests, forensics technology and consumer genetic tests. The Company's first theranostic product (drug/test combination) is PT-401, a "Super EPO" (erythropoietin) dimer protein drug for treatment of anemia in renal dialysis patients (end stage renal disease). Currently in pre-clinical development, PT-401 will be targeted to patients with a genetic profile indicating their propensity to have the best clinical response. DNAPrint's family of products for the law enforcement forensics and consumer markets include DNAWITNESS, RETINOME, ANCESTRYbyDNA and EURO-DNA.

Forward Looking Statements

Title: DNAG overwiew
Post by: nextmove on October 27, 2005, 08:53:23 AM
This one is so hated by investors and so loved by shortsellers naked or not. So much that the stock looks like a steal at current PPS.

Market cap now is only 894.53K @.0141

Price/Sales (ttm):   1.00
Price/Book (mrq):   0.94

last PR about patent should increase book value some too.

What´s interesting is:
number of shares outstanding has stayed at 63.44M since July 12. This could be a sign that DNAGs burnrate is low now or even better they are cash flow positive? That would mean the dilution death spiral has stopped.

The reaction from the market to the news releases haven't been that strong. Anyway, the news has had more financial significance for every release.

Will be very interesting to see how market takes this latest piece of news.

DNAPrint Genomics Executives to Attend World Drug Discovery & Development Conference in Copenhagen
Friday November 4, 7:00 am ET

SARASOTA, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 4, 2005 -- DNAPrint(TM) genomics, Inc. (OTC BB:DNAG.OB - News), a developer of genomics-based products and services, today announced that it will be participating in the World Drug Discovery & Development Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 29-30, 2005 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

"The Summit comes at a time when DNAPrint genomics is actively pursuing the development of pharmacogenomic products that include test/drug combinations based on inherited gene characteristics. These test/drug combinations are designed to optimize patient response and improve efficacy," stated Hector J. Gomez, M.D., Ph.D., the Company's Chairman and Chief Medical Officer. "The Summit is an excellent opportunity to participate in targeted meetings with pharmaceutical industry representatives and to discuss our Company's advances in the field of personalized medicine."

Other top DNAPrint executives attending the summit, which is sponsored by the London-based World Trade Group, are President and Chief Executive Office Richard Gabriel and Company Founder and Chief Scientific Officer Tony N. Frudakis.

"This conference presents us a forum to showcase not only our drug development, but also how our technologies, products and services can help the pharmaceutical companies accelerate their own research and development programs," Mr. Gabriel said.

"The development of pharmaceuticals that improve the quality of life for medical patients has been an over-riding goal of our Company from its beginning," Dr. Frudakis stated. "Our research in drug development is well under-way and our newly formed DNAPrint Pharmaceutical subsidiary emphasizes the importance we place on this objective."

What do you think guys about DNAG in term of regaining its value? In June, I bought the share for 0.22 and then they split the shares 20 to 1. Since then it went down to almost nothing.

I know the rise in its value is good for the new buyers but does not give me back what I paid by a long shot. I am still down about 90%. Does anyone think it will be up to the 0.22 level gain?

TIA :-\

Hey digit,

I think it would have a tough time of ever reaching .22 in the near future. With a 20-1 split shares are seriously diluted. This makes it very hard for the stock to move higher. High supply of shares and low supply of buyers. Its definately possible but not very likely. Reverse splits are almost always a "death trap"

DNAG should see a nice pop but I think .22 is out of the question unless big news is released.

Happy trading,

DNAG showing bottoming action and 'cup and handle' forming - now with rising 20  dma  as support. At current PPS the stock looks like a steal considering the market potential and how much money has been pumped into this company.

Dilution is of course an issue, anyhow  IMHO this seems like good risk/reward play.

From the last 10-QSB: 'State the number of shares outstanding of each of the issuer's classes of common equity as of October 15, 2005     149,947,895 shares '.

This would make market cap 2.6 M$ @ 0.0174. Likely some more shares have been issued since. If someone would call the transfer agent and get current number and post it that would be useful.

1. volume is huge
2. rsi is rising
3. macd is getting positve
4. last run in april/may dnag was up 600% but on very little volume !!!
5. we need patience here..reward is coming big volume never lies.

Been holding, still holding :) Looks pretty on the charts right now, so I'm all warm inside.

A few notes:

We've seen volume days in the past week and a half that have been double in size for positive days (versus negative days). This may signal some accumulation is occuring. Pullbacks on weaker volume, and last two days have seen higher and high volume and higher and higher price.

Also, the 0.023 mark has been broken. This is one of the three key res. points on upward. Obviously we'll have to wait and see if she can make it past the last .028 and then finally .03 - at which point I'll probably add a few shares and then more only if we can break 0.044.

Anyway - I've no stops since I've so little capital invested.

DNAPrint Announces Discovery of Genetic Marker for Statin-Induced Myalgia
Tuesday December 19, 7:00 am ET

Findings From Company's Statnome Project Successfully Validated; Article on Study to Be Published in Noted Academic Journal

SARASOTA, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 19, 2006 -- DNAPrint Genomics, Inc. (OTC BB:DNAG.OB - News), today announced that the Company's research staff has discovered a genetic marker for statin-induced myalgia (chronic muscle pain), that a patent has been filed to protect the discovery and that the research on which the discovery is based will be published in an upcoming issue of The Journal of Pharmacogenetics and Genomics (JPG).

The marker was the primary discovery from the Company's Statnome project initiated in 2000 and the manuscript to be published in JPG describes the validation of this finding in different patient samples.

"Myalgia or chronic muscle pain is a common side effect reported by patients who take statins for cholesterol control, and it is likely to be part of a disease continuum that includes myositis and rhabdomyolysis, which is a breakdown of muscle fibers that frequently results in kidney damage and is a potentially fatal side-effect," according to DNAPrint Chief Science Officer Tony Frudakis, Ph.D. "Deaths associated with statin-induced rhabdoymyolysis lead Bayer to withdraw Cerivistatin in 2001. We are satisfied to have brought one of our first pharmacogenetics programs full circle from discovery through validation and we consider the R&D phase for this project complete. With the filing of a patent to protect this discovery, the Company will be able to develop a proprietary test for this gene variant and thereby reduce the likelihood of illness or death in those patients who are taking statins. This study also criticizes the original clinical trials for statins, which did not fully or adequately explore the relationship between statins and myalgia or even rhabdomyolysis."

"This is the culmination of a project that was begun when the company was founded," stated DNAPrint President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gabriel. "It has taken until now to validate the original findings, but validated they are. The Company has filed a patent to protect this process. We plan to bring to market a definitive test product to identify this genetic variant and to potentially prevent painful -- and in some cases, fatal -- side effects in thousands of patients who are taking a very common prescription drug."

DNAPrint's study of 750 patients who had taken either atorvastatin (Lipitor®) or simvastatin (Zocor®) showed that patients carrying one specific genetic marker were approximately 2.5 times more likely to experience mild to severe muscle pain (myalgia). The effect was most pronounced for atorvastatin and the study showed that approximately one half of the patients who were removed from atorvastatin therapy due to muscle symptoms possess this genetic marker, whereas in the general population (with and without cardiovascular disease) only approximately 15%-25% of people carry the marker. DNAPrint applied its technology for measuring population structure (e.g., ancestry) in order to prove that the finding in both the discovery and validation samples was genuine, and in so doing received praise from JPG reviewers. This observation indicates that the genetic marker may be related not only to response to statins but also to a possible relationship with higher cholesterol levels, according to the study.

"DNA Print Genomics was founded on the underlying genomic screening methods developed to more efficiently scan the genome for medically important genetic markers of drug responses," stated Dr. Frudakis. "The current findings are another example of the efficiency of the Company's methods."

Both Gomez and DNAPrint Genomics will also be part of a massive research initiative announced last month by the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute of Tampa. The center said it would partner with an affiliate of Merck & Co., Inc. pharmaceutical company to expand biotechnology research with the goal of developing personalized medicine.

Merck and Moffitt will form a for-profit company, called M2GEN, that will develop personalized cancer treatments using a patient's genetic profile.
