Well..I'm in at .21!

Unfortunately, my trading platform was not updating the trades in real time for some strange reason...i was seeing trades at .23...so i put in a buy at .21.....the ask was .22.
It immediately ate up my bid...i quickly checked my other trading platform where it was showing the correct ask..which was at .181 !!!

That is just wrong...tried to call my broker about this glitch...can something be done since technically they provided the wrong quotes?

THanks..but, hopefully WEGI will take off to greater highs and I won't regret my buy and kill my broker! ;)

Great pick the..nice moves this morning...again...i should have bought it at .17 when I had the chance!
Too many stocks to chose from....like a kid in a candy store...but then..when u eat too much and too quickly...u get sick!  Hope this doesn't make me sick!! hee hee ;D

Saffeysite1..did u pick any up..if u did..i'm sure you got a great price..hope so!

thanks,

I am new here and I already like your ideas guys. Thank you in advance.

My question is about WEGI. I bought it a bit late at 0.19. A friend of mine in the stocks business told me it can go up to as high as 0.27 by week's end.  Anyone knows if this will continue up or what is your take on it?

TIA

Hi digitx,

I'm sure you're happy about how WEGI is moving today...it is still reacting from the devastion Katrina has unfortunately caused.

My trading platform went a little screwy on me today and i accidentally sold WEGI at .25...i am very upset right now..it started out as an error and ended that way too... :'(
So i made 30$ instead of about $450....i just can't seem to win...oh well...next!!!

I wonder if it is still going to go up...?

probably....well..i'm happy for you and whomever else is holding...good luck ;D

I got some on Friday just before close as a friend said they had a news item that may draw in more day traders but it sure sounds like a set up for insider selling as the stock is up so much. Last quarter they made about 100k and have over 75 million shares so very high priced at 35 cents. Heck in this nutty market it may shoot back to 60 cents so will play while it moves but opening an office does not mean much.

This weekly chart shows it was at 60 cents in the past so if day traders want to play it can do it again regardless of the fundies - heck - yesterday morning in pre market one of the little energy plays that was at 95 cents ran up up 1.70 on no news - so a screaming sell - it ended the day I guess under 85 .

Anyway there are tons of fast plays lately and this has been one of them -

here is weekly chart

It's not just "opening an office." It's establishing a command center right in the disaster zone for the massive cleanup that they'll be involved in for the next one or two years. I think that does mean much. The huge volume and the fact that this closed while on the uptrend says a lot too. I believe next week will be just as great for this one.

didn't see any insider selling.

Why would they sell when the run has just begun?
Volume is still very strong.  I don't see any signs of selling.  I am not selling my shares till it hits a $1.

The momo has just begun in my opinion.  During 9/11 they had a minor role in clean up and the stock hit .60.  I see this as 10X the amount of clean up as 9/11.

Good luck to all.

And as I have made money off of this play.  I have donated to the Red Cross 10% of it.

I really need an immediate help on this stock. Anyone willing to help is appreciated. I have to make a decision based on chats and analysis before I sell. The questions I have are:

1) I bought this stock for the second time @0.63 (20,000). Today it closed at 0.51. Is there any news or analysis to show how this is going to go in the next 2 days.

2) There was a press release this morning but the price kept going down. I was told on the chat line the the stock is consolidating. What does that mean. Is it dying or is going to make another jump? I am new to the language of the stock market and i need some help.

Thank you again.
Title: Re: WEGI - another hurricane play.
Post by: jc707270 on September 08, 2005, 02:46:50 AM
Hey dig,

I took this explaination of consolidation from investopedia.com

"A term used mainly by technical analysts to refer to the movement of a stock's price within a well-defined pattern or barrier of trading levels."

So basically when you have consolidation there will be selling and buying in a certain price range which will make the price per share trend in a sideways pattern. This is usually a good thing as those who want out (take profits) are met with those who want in (see more profits ahead). An upwards breakout of consolidation then leads to higher highs and a new base is formed (base=place where people took profits, new money jumped in, barrier that if not broken will create a launching pad for price, if broken might be an indicator to sell since new money might be bailing). Of course a downward breakout is not good! Anyway I think thursday will tell us alot with what WEGI will do. Today it looked as if the stock was trying to fill the gap in price from friday. I don't beleive it was completely filled as it was from .44 to .52. The low for today was .47 and it doesn't mean that it will completely fill the gap, but we could see a test of the .45 to .44 area thursday before hopefully a push back up at the end of the day. My only concern is that the price closes above .45 as I think this was the previous resistance area and is now a base since it was passed on strong volume. So I think we wait and see tomorrow, and if it closes below .45 I will probably sell and wait for a better price. Hope this helps! Oh and while watching the trades pass by I must say that there were some fairly large downtick sells (sell below ask) but also some fairly large uptick buys (buy above bid) so could be a surprise up tomorrow early?

Form 8-K for WINDSWEPT ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP INC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15-Sep-2005

Sale of Equity, Financial Statements and Exhibits

Item 3.02 Unregistered Sales of Equity Securities.

In light of expected activity to remediate damage caused by Hurricane Katrina, Windswept Environmental Group, Inc.'s operating subsidiary Trade-Winds Environmental Restoration Inc. has mobilized over sixty employees to the gulf coast region. Trade-Winds has leased or is in the process of leasing three premises to serve as a satellite office, regional command center, training center and housing for its mobilized employees.

In order to finance anticipated expenses, Windswept borrowed an additional $650,000 from Laurus Master Fund, Ltd. ("Laurus") by issuing a new replacement note, dated September 9, 2005, in the principal amount of $6,000,000 (the "Laurus Replacement Note") on substantially the same terms as the original replacement note dated July 13, 2005 in the principal amount of $5,350,000 issued by Windswept to Laurus. The aggregate proceeds received by Windswept were used to pay a management fee of $25,350 to Laurus Capital Management, L.L.C., and the balance of the proceeds are being used by Windswept for working capital purposes. A copy of the amended and restated secured convertible note is attached as Exhibit 10.01 hereto and is incorporated by reference.

The principal amount of the Laurus Replacement Note is repayable at the rate of $187,500 per month together with accrued but unpaid interest, commencing on November 1, 2005. Such amounts must be paid in shares of common stock if the following conditions are satisfied: (a) the average closing price of the common stock for the five (5) trading days immediately preceding an amortization date is greater than 110% of the fixed conversion price and (b) the amount of the related payment does not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the aggregate dollar trading volume of the common stock for the period of twenty-two (22) trading days immediately preceding such amortization date. If condition (a) is met but condition (b) is not, then Laurus shall be issued only such portion that satisfies condition (b). Any amount not paid in shares shall be payable in cash at the rate of 103% of the amount owed within three (3) business days of the amortization date. None of these amounts may be paid in shares of common stock, however, if (1) the common stock (a) has not been registered under an effective registration statement under the Securities Act of 1933 or (b) is not otherwise covered by an exemption under the Securities Act or (2) Windswept is in default of the Laurus Replacement Note. The secured convertible term note may be prepaid by Windswept in cash by paying the holder 103% of the principal amount, plus accrued interest. Interest is payable monthly and accrues monthly at the prime rate plus 2%, with a minimum rate of 7.25%. Windswept's obligations under the Laurus Replacement Note are collateralized by all of Windswept's assets. The holder of the Laurus Replacement Note may convert all or a portion of such note, together with interest and fees thereon at any time into shares of common stock at an initial conversion price of $0.09, subject

to adjustments in connection with any reclassification, stock splits, combinations, dividends or additional stock issuances made to persons other than Laurus. Upon an issuance of shares of the common stock of Windswept below the conversion price, the initial conversion price of the Laurus Replacement Note will be reduced to such issuance price.

On September 12, 2005, Windswept issued 1,500,000 shares of its common stock to Laurus pursuant to Laurus' partial exercise of its option to purchase such shares at an exercise price of $.0001 per share, or $150 in the aggregate pursuant to the option, dated June 30, 2005, issued by Windswept to Laurus.

The Laurus Replacement Note and the Laurus shares were sold in private offerings pursuant to exemptions from registration under Section 4(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.

Item 9.01 Financial Statements and Exhibits.

10.01 Amended and Restated Secured Convertible Term Note, dated September 9, 2005, issued by Windswept to Laurus.
10.02 Option, dated June 30, 2005, issued by Windswept to Laurus (Incorporated by reference to Exhibit 10.3 to Windswept's Form 8-K filed July 7, 2005).

Sorry ditix..i didn't see this earlier question of yours.
I did get out of wegi last week. I was thinking about getting back in as I mentioned above..but,haven't done that as of yet.  Still just wondering where the support is here.
This may be it?

Well..saffey seems to have good faith in this stock...and it is in a demand sector right now...so, perhaps its just taking a breather and doing its normal retracements after such a nice ride. It may be good for some more..maybe alot more...we may just have to be patient, I hope it turns out really well for you. ;D

Does saffey have any further insighs to offer?

I guess we will see in the next day or two if the 8k will have any effect on the price.

Good luck! ;D

Looks like all the profit takers have cleared the room.  Has held nicely at support .32.

Should see movement back up soon, by looking at the chart.  Still bullish.  Just need a little patience, as first big run up was due to speculation, but now as the company implemented its business model down in LA, we should see more of a fundamental move.

Bought @ EOD at $.55.  I hope this doesn't prove to be a bonehead move.  Financials look pretty healthy and can easily support it's market cap.

I live in Dallas and we're expecting to harbor the mass Exodus of Houstonites over the next 2-3 days.  Houston is expecting 100+ winds.

IMO Oil may hit $75 next week, especially when all the refineries in the Galveston area get hit with the storm-surge.  A buddy of mine, who's an Exec at TransOcean (RIG) is packing up the house and leaving tonight to come visit me.  This could be worse than Katrina.  We'll see Saturday/Sunday.

WOw...this was another day form hell for me...again...i should hve made good money today..but instread, my broker screwed me up...i can never catch a break.  Very long story...but, i thought at one point that i had rebought at .35, instead my online broker had accepted as a sell order (basically shorting WEGI)...even though i have a cash account and can't short!  So, i then had to buy at .38, as it didn't go any lower at that point, to offset my short trade...so, i lost money instead!  So nerve racking...how come these things seem to happen only to me.

Anyway, after all that was cleared up...and i lost money....i rebought again at .41...this stock, from the beginning battles it out with me...and it always wins!! Well, thank god it closed higher than what i bought it at ;D

good luck to everyone tomorrow...hopefully there will be a gap up so i can get out of this stock alive! :D
And did u see ECCI...i had no cash left as i bought wegi...should have bought ecci instead!

thanks for letting me vent ;D

WEGI is trading at 2 x EBITDA, has a Price/Book of 1.25 and is a growth stock.

It appears to be tracking the 5 and 10 DMA, after having the recent volume spike after Alberto.

I have loaded the boat on this and NECX.ob.

Good luck,

Hurricane prediction for 07:

Updated 12/8/2006 2:15 PM ET
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season should have above-average activity, with three major hurricanes and a good chance at least one of them will make landfall, a top hurricane researcher said Friday.

Colorado State forecaster William Gray predicted 14 named storms and a total of seven hurricanes next year.

He and fellow researcher Philip Klotzbach said there is a 64% chance of one of the major hurricanes — with sustained winds of 111 mph or greater — coming ashore. The long-term average probability is 52%, they said.

Still, they said fewer hurricanes are likely to make landfall next year than in the devastating 2005 season, which had 28 named storms, including 15 hurricanes, four of which hit the U.S. The worst was Katrina, which leveled parts of the Gulf Coast.

The 2006 season had nine named storms and five hurricanes, two of them major. That was considered a "near normal" season but fell short of predictions by Gray and government scientists. None hit the U.S. Atlantic coast — only the 11th time that has occurred since 1945.

Gray and Klotzbach said last month that a surprise late El Nino contributed to the calmer June-to-November hurricane season this year.

El Nino — a warming in the Pacific Ocean — has far-reaching effects that include changing wind patterns in the eastern Atlantic, which can disrupt the formation of hurricanes there, Gray said.

Gray's team said Friday those conditions are likely to dissipate before the next season but Klotzbach cautioned, "this is an early prediction."

Gray said he believes the Atlantic basin is in an active hurricane cycle, despite the calm 2006 season.

"This active cycle is expected to continue for another decade or two at which time we should enter a quieter Atlantic major hurricane period like we experienced during the quarter-century periods of 1970-1994 and 1901-1925," he said.

Tropical Storm Risk, a London-based consortium of weather, insurance and risk-management experts, on Thursday forecast an active 2007 season, with up to 16 tropical storms including nine hurricanes, four of them intense.

I have been watching this one closely and wish I got in at .08, just a few days ago. Got in on Friday at .125.
Hoping to go x2-3 by the time hurricane season rolls around.

This year WEGI will need a major storm making lanfall to go significantly higher than this, IMO. I think PPS might not make back to .40 without a major storm because 2006 had no major storms making landfall so the huge need for disaster restoration was not there, like in 2005.

Two things:
1. Hopefull this company can keep the E off the end of its ticker symbol.

2. Posted 12/7/06 by E. Dunham on flhurricane.com. This was one day prior to the release of the hurricane prediction from Colorado, posted previously:

"The 2006 season was dominated by uncommonly high wind shear in the tropical Atlantic and by a late El Nino that caused an early end to the season. On the 'plus' side, the wind shear should be less of an influence - it would be unusual for such high levels of shear to continue into next season. On the 'minus' side, the latest ENSO outlook issued yesterday (12/05) continues a robust El Nino through next April with a slow weakening in May (and probably June).

Lower wind shear in the basin would normally suggest the likelyhood of higher storm activity, however, this factor is counterbalanced by an El Nino that would suppress activity - at least until August. In fact, if the ENSO forecast verifies, the 2007 season may not get very active until mid September.

With an early start to winter in North America, it would not be unusual to expect an early storm next year, but I think that the vigorous El Nino will make an early season storm less likely in 2007. The upcoming season will probably be slow to get underway, but if ENSO-neutral conditions exist by July, September and October could be quite active in 2007.

My initial outlook for 2007 is for 11 named storms, with 6 hurricanes and 2 major hurricanes and a monthly distribution as follows: May/June - 0, July - 1, August - 2, September - 4, October - 3, and November - 1.

I'll take another look at this in April (in the Storm Forum) and examine some analog years at that time."
Cheers,
ED

Mr. Dunham seems to think that hurricane season won't get going until later in the summer.

This stock will likely see a big gain between now and the start of hurricane season on 6/1/07. I feel pps will likely level off and maybe retreat somewhat before some new buying opportunities will arise with named storms that actually make landfall. This is likely to happen later in the season, maybe mid August through September.
For the biggest gains between now and the start of hurricane season, the time to but is now, IMO.

One other thing.
If you put the chart of WEGI and the chart of NSMG next to each other, they are practicaly twins. I'm long on NSMG as well. See my post there.

Double Bottom (reversal) Pattern
at 0.14.... with a low float
The market doesn't always care about past Fundamentals as much as it does about future dreams, promises...not facts, are important.

Double Bottom (Reversal) Pattern...
The double bottom is a major reversal pattern that forms after an extended downtrend. As its name implies, the pattern is made up of two consecutive troughs that are roughly equal, with a moderate peak in-between.

Although there can be variations, the classic double bottom usually marks an intermediate or long-term change in trend. Many potential double bottoms can form along the way down, but until key resistance is broken, a reversal cannot be confirmed.

It is important to remember that the double bottom is an intermediate to long-term reversal pattern that will not form in a few days. Even though formation in a few weeks is possible, it is preferable to have at least 4 weeks between lows. Bottoms usually take longer than tops to form and patience can often be a virtue. Give the pattern time to develop and look for the proper clues. The advance off of the first trough should be 10-20%. The second trough should form a low within 3% of the previous low and volume on the ensuing advance should increase. Volume indicators such as Chaikin Money Flow, OBV and Accumulation/Distribution can be used to look for signs of buying pressure. Just as with the double top, it is paramount to wait for the resistance breakout. The formation is not complete until the previous reaction high is taken out.

setravis, do you think this would get to $0.40/share based on the hurricane forecast for this season?

here is the Atlantic Basin Seasonal Hurricane forecast for 2007 according to the Department of Atmospheric Science in Colorado State University
http://typhoon.atmos.colostate.edu/forecasts/2007/june2007/jun2007.pdf (http://typhoon.atmos.colostate.edu/forecasts/2007/june2007/jun2007.pdf)
Forecast                                                                      issue date May 31st 2007

Named storms                                                              17
Named storm days                                                        85
Hurricanes                                                                     9
hurricane days                                                               40
Intense hurricanes                                                         5
Intense hurricane days                                                   11
accumulated cyclone energy                                          170
Net tropical cyclone activity                                           185

based on the hurricane days prediction we have another month of hurricane activity?
so would it be safe to say that within the next month wegi should do very well?
as good as $0.40/share?

according to the NOAA's 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Oulook
chance above normal activity                                      85% for August
chance near normal activity                                        10%

I don't think this thing will reach .40/share although it would be nice, more realistically speaking I think that based on historical chart pattern this thing can reach at least three times its current value to somewhere between .19 and .22 a share.

load it up now and ride the wave.  ;)
