I've been watching this one for a while at around $.23 - .25, should have bought then.  Finally, bought some at close on Friday.  Market cap is still reasonable low.  We can expect volume to increase to 1MM/shares per day.  I'm sure this will be getting a lot of attention.

Good luck,

Been holding this for a while, finally huge volume and up 40%.

This may be one of those small-cap oil stocks which doubles in a few days.

I certainly hope so.  I don't have TA on this, but the market cap is reasonably low in comarison to it's peers.

I forgot I had a limit order out there for $.59.  I guess I'm out for now.

I don't know what this thing is going to do, but it looks very strong.

I'm converting a lot of my rallying stocks to cash, because I am anticipating another October correction/crash.  Many analysts think this weeks rally is simply window-dressing.

Tengasco Announces Record Fourth Quarter 2005 and Record Year-End 2005 Results and Reports 2005 Results of Operations
Monday March 20, 3:07 pm ET

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 20, 2006--Tengasco, Inc. (AMEX:TGC - News) announced today that it has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ending December 31, 2005.

For 2005, the Company reported a net income to holders of common stock of $1,088,028 or $0.02 per share in 2005 compared to a net loss of $1,994,025 ($0.05 per share) in 2004 and to a net loss of $3,451,580 ($0.29 per share) in 2003.

In the fourth quarter of 2005, Tengasco produced record net income of $977,138, on quarterly revenues of $2,250,172. This was achieved primarily from the Company's highest oil production volumes in Kansas in any quarter since 1997 and high levels of commodity pricing in the world oil market. Increased oil production was the result of both the Company's retained interests in new wells drilled in the Company's ongoing eight- and twelve-well drilling programs in Kansas and the polymer workovers on the Company's existing wells in which the Company owns the entire working interest. The Company's total oil production was 139,583 barrels in 2005 compared to 129,216 in 2004 and was the highest annual production total since 1998.

Tengasco reported that its proved reserves of oil and gas at December 31, 2005 were 2,167,833 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), down ten percent from 2,414,500 BOE at December 31, 2004. However, net of revisions resulting primarily from the sale of 481,000 BOE of proved reserves at its Kansas gas properties in Rush County, Kansas in the first quarter of 2005, the Company added approximately 284,000 BOE of proved reserves primarily from extensions, workovers and additions in 2005, replacing 163 percent of the Company's 2005 production.

Oil comprised approximately 63 percent of the Company's total year-end 2005 proved reserves, and 75 percent of total year-end reserves were attributable to proved developed wells. Proven oil reserves as standalone reserves increased from 1,090,000 barrels in 2004, to 1,374,463 barrels in 2005. This is a 26% increase in proven oil reserves and a 204% replacement of actual oil production in 2005.

Jeffrey R. Bailey, Chief Executive Officer stated: "The year 2005 ended with Tengasco having record profits, record net income, record EBITDA, and record revenues. The Company increased its oil production in 2005 and that, coupled with higher oil prices led to single year record revenue of $7,172,876 which is 17.4% higher than revenues in 2004. Combined with our balance sheet improvements which reduced interest and operating costs, the Company's increased oil production resulted in record net income of $1,088,028 in 2005."

Mr. Bailey continued: "2005 was truly a breakout year as our turnaround strategy paid off with a positive swing in annual net income of over $3 million in 2005 from 2004 levels. Quarterly performances improved sequentially in every quarter of 2005 as we increased production and continued to build a strong foundation for the future. As we operate from a strengthened foundation based on our long-lived reserves, and focus efforts to increase our reserve base, we will transition from a turnaround strategy that has served us well, to a more growth oriented strategy in 2006. We ended calendar 2005 with the last preferred stockholder exchanging his preferred stock for cash, thereby completing the process we began a year before of retiring all of the Company's outstanding preferred stock and secured debt. We now anticipate finishing all drilling programs as quickly as possible in 2006, and growing the Company' reserves and lease acreage positions throughout the coming year."

The statements contained in this release that are not purely historical are forward-looking statements within the meaning of applicable securities laws. Forward-looking statements include statements regarding "expectations," "anticipations," "intentions," "beliefs," or "strategies" regarding the future. Forward-looking statements also include statements regarding revenue, margins, expenses, and earnings analysis for 2006 and thereafter; oil and gas prices; reserve calculation and valuation; exploration activities; development expenditures; costs of regulatory compliance; environmental matters; technological developments; future products or product development; the Company's products and distribution development strategies; potential acquisitions or strategic alliances; and liquidity and anticipated cash needs and availability. The Company's actual results could differ materially from the forward-looking statements.

Back in the radar Again... Smokin' TGC!!
Title: TGC
Post by: Ramsburg on March 30, 2006, 12:44:20 AM
Profile:
Tengasco, Inc. engages in the exploration, production, and transportation of oil and natural gas in Tennessee and Kansas. It also leases producing and nonproducing properties for exploration and development.

This is mainly a technical pick for short term / speculative position trading.
Risk: High

Technical Analysis:

Short Term:
TGC is riding an interesting ride for a while, yesterday TGC broke out of an important psychological / technical level: $1.00. This breakout was made with volume 5 times the average, and taking in consideration this is a highly speculative stock, we can have a good timing opportunity here, since a simple projection of this breakout would be no less than $1.60/$2.00 short term.

Short Term Chart:

Long Term:
TGC made a rounded bottom pattern in the last 2 years; the recent breakout gives room for a great move. Anyway, we are not looking to the long term here.
We may also notice $1.26 as a resistance, and the only obstacle for this trade.

Long Term Chart:

Fundamentals:
TGC is finally posting some good numbers after a long time in the red:
- Tengasco Announces Record Fourth Quarter 2005 and Record Year-End 2005 Results and Reports 2005 Results of Operations (http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060320/20060320005966.html?.v=1)

The Earnings Trend is turning positive:

Revenues have also a positive trend:

Trading Plan:
We are going to buy TGC at or near the open, at a maximum price of $1.20, and our stop for this trade will be $0.90.

Best regards,

.

Yes this one been nice. I put a measured move on it for a cup and handle at $1.50 - base at 0.38 to break out at 0.94 is 56 = 0.94 + 0.56 = $1.50. That does not mean it cannot go higher but the standard play.

It is good to play these at brake out instead of after or for more risk of course maybe before.

So here is a similar cup and handle pattern also in energy so you see it in advance.

OMNI  http://tinyurl.com/m3mne

It may take some time to set up  as it is extended now but so you have it on your list. You may notice that TGC tried a break and then pulled back to the 9-day - a favorite place to buy..  http://tinyurl.com/lpokq

So watch OMNI so a future set up. I find it much less risk to buy after a lower volume pullback to support as TGC just gained 40% that way.

We have the end of the month buying spree underway so likely the broad market will continue a bit.

If you like to break break outs then one way is to get in at the break or the first pullback after that often happens s couple of minutes after. Just look for stronger then normal volume to lower risk. There are a ton of break out setups now and some will work and some not but just wait for them. Another example is  AIRN  http://tinyurl.com/gqvnk

Hi Metro,

Good to see you back (must be the only one whom did not say so  ;))

Little confused with your respons to this play. Do you or do you not like it?

I do like it but ask wether the gap should not be closed first  ??? Or have I always misunderstood that phrase  :-[ and should that only take place with a break away gap. Would be very happy if one of you could fill me in.

Thanks in advance,
Amarens

Hi Amarens,

Thanks... yes I do like this one as it has great pattern in good sector. I only said that is is good to watch them a bit before the break out so you can catch a bit more but of corse you cannot catch them all. AIRN though posted here did break out today  but has not run much yet.

Gold and silvers have really been good but somewhat selective though easy to spot decent charts. The sector should be good a long time but short term at leat a month. SOme are gettgn extended as and after todays move. Here is a brief list of some and yo can see they are all up.

http://tinyurl.com/j6p4u

These stocks IMO for shorter term are best bought on pullbacks as gold is in a multi year bull market so the big money is just to hold but for trading sell on big moves and wait for pullbacks. I think you should hold several metal - Palladium like PAL and SWC and Uranium like URIS - copper etc. You miss a lot of big gains if you are not holding these.

Not a completely strange session for TGC today... As stated in our first post:
«We may also notice $1.26 as a resistance, and the only obstacle for this trade.»

TGC opened with a small gap up, and rapidly went up to the $1.26 resistance, after that, a lot of selling pressure took place, giving room to fill the morning gap and even bringing TGC near a dollar. That was the first test to that resistance in two years.

Probably TGC needs a few days to consolidate this breakout before it's ready for the expected jump (or maybe not). Our trading plan will be:
Hold TGC with a stop @ $0.90 and limit sell order @ $1.60

Regards,

I am seeing TGC stumbling upon the target of a short-term ascending triangle, is this right?
(.94 - .50=.44 + .94=1.38, the HOD so far is 1.39)
I think I will lock profits and re-enter once it breaks 1.39; the risk is I might end-up missing the final run-off to 1.50-1.60.

Great run for TGC today ;) what a beautiful big white candle !

From a short term perspective it is very difficult to measure these moves, especially after such a great run... But if we look to the long term chart (second attachment on this post), we can clearly see the signs, and it's easy to imagine TGC a few bags ahead of current price on the long run time frame.

Anyway, and as stated on our first post, we are not trading TGC for the long run ;)

For short term TGC didn't confirm any weakness yet, and momentum is getting hot... We expect a gap up tomorrow, and the opportunities to fill our limit sell order at $1.60, although $1.60 is just a simple projection ($0.99-$0.38= $0.61 and $0.99 + $0.61 = $1.60, being $0.38 the December low, and $0.99 the October's high and breakout level), a projection is not a sell signal, is just a reasonable number to expect from a move on a technical point of view.
Speculative moves like this one tend to exceed any reasonable technical target (always with high retracement risks), so we would not be surprised to watch TGC trading above $2 short term.

Our plan will be the same, just updating our stop level to our entry price to lock our risk on this trade:
Hold TGC with a stop @ $1.15 and a limit sell order @ $1.60

Best regards !

I set my stop a little lower at $ 1,55 (learning from the Nich experience ;) where we were just not stopped out and saw it go down losing profits :'(.) and I was stopped out since that was the high of the day. 33% profit in a couple of day's very happy  ::) ::).

Thanks for a great tip and good luck to those still holding!! I hope it goes over $ 2,-

Ramsburg,

Just for the record  ;) I don't do intraday trading. I found that one of the most realxing advices David gave. Plan before opening, execute and look half an hour before close. I really just followed instructions placing a limit sell order. Just not at $ 1,60 but a little lower at $ 1,55 b/c that looked saver to me after the NICH experience. I got luckey yesterday  ;D.

Might consider entering again today. Will keep the community here updated if I do  ;)

I'll keep my fingers crossed voor 3SOF it will turn to the positive again today. I would probably lower my limit sell order to the high of the day from yesterday  ;) ;) ;) But I'm just learning  :-[ :-[

Good luck,
Amarens

TGC just reported strong earnings and that trend will continue on up coming earnings.
With only 37mil shares floating, this will take off very fast.

I chose TGC for the next contest pick :) lets see how she plays out. Unless i find something more attractive over the weekend.

I plan on buying for my real portfolio either if pps bounces off of support or has a breakout of the symmetrical triangle.

Good luck to everyone on the contest!!

I think we are ready for lift off on this stock. Shares of TGC soared 22.83% or 29 cents to $1.56 per share. The technical chart shows the stock has the chance to go back to bull market again as MACD is getting closer to 0 while K line in on top of D line indicating buy signal. In addition the long term trend is turning positive as the stock is back above 50 day moving average as both 50 day and 200 day moving averages are still going up.

looks like TGC is back in bullish mode.

1.) the downtrend line from the peak in May was broken yesterday, with a confirmation day today on high volume

2.) RSI, MACD an stochastics all show an uptrend in the making

3.) First resistance is the $1.67 top from back in June

4.) broke the 50 DMA today, and closed right at it.

5.) Volume picking back up very nicely.

My position: Long at $1.40 starting today.

Trading Idea:
TGC had a great rally earlier this year, and is now consolidating inside a big symmetrical triangle pattern. There is no momentum alert so far, but TGC is now testing the support level, giving us a nice risk / reward risk taking in consideration that we want to hold a oil related stock on 3SOF right now.
So instead of buying a breakout we are now buying a support, taking just the risk of a breakdown but using a tight stop for this trade.

Trading Plan:
We'll buy TGC today at or near the open and then set a stop @ $1.05

It was a great day for the market overall today, but oil has started trading below some technical support levels according to CNBC so maybe that attributed to this stock not closing green today.  But wasnt this also a silver play somehow too?

Hi tokyopua,
Yes, Crude has dropped almost 2% yesterday and that didn't helped TGC at all.

Update:
TGC is still trading at the ascending support line, the last relative low was $1.09 and our stop level is based at $1.05. Let's wait...

Trading Plan:
Hold TGC with a stop @ $1.05

Speculative play, tight stop, small loss.

Yes, I sold also, the instructions were sell on a print of 1.05.  It was just bad timing to buy oil stocks though it made sense at the time.

TGC has bottomed at .63 and is starting to make a move. It looks like a golden cross is about to form. TGC earnings are coming up which should be very very good. TGC has always run up toward earnings so I expect a .10 gain in 2-3 week period. If oil keeps going up the way it is TGC will lock in huge profits. Keep it on the radar.

TGC recently has cleaned up the balance sheet and now owns 100% working interest in there wells which they didn't have before. Last quarter oil was 20% cheaper so that should show up nicely as well this quarter. Also last quarter TGC took a beating because of the poor quarter. There were severe storms that knocked out power to some wells for a couple of months. Now that the weather has been nice this should be a record quarter for TGC.

Earnings are November 7th but the company has until the 14th to file.  TGC hasn't moved while oil continues to climb.  Management is constantly increasing output every quarter.  TGC has recently double bottomed and now is trading above the 200 day moving average and it looks like a golden cross is in the near future.  A couple of years ago TGC was $2.00 when oil was $70.00.  This stock can't be a sleeper forever.  I think the street will finally give the recognition it deserves on this earnings report.  With oil this high we could see a 3 bagger depending on forward guidance.

Oil is +77% from January's weekly closing lows in the $53 range.

TGC is +0% over the same time period.

This earnings report will be huge! Buy hand over fist before its to late.

TGC is holding above the 200 day moving average and should continue to move up into earnings. Good earnings will solidify that golden cross. I'm looking for a triple.

Title: Re: TGC
Post by: WallStreetnBio on November 06, 2007, 03:52:30 PM
I'm guessing they will be very close to earning $0.02 this quarter. If not this quarter then next for sure. Lets say the EPS for '08 is $0.08. With a PE ratio of 20, which is very conservative, thats a stock price of $1.60. Again this is a conservative estimate because I'm assuiming no growth and a historically low PE ratio.
Title: Re: TGC
Post by: WallStreetnBio on November 09, 2007, 09:06:59 AM
HOLY SHIT!!! TGC just blew out numbers! I was expecting $0.01 and its $0.03.

That's a yearly EPS of $0.12 with a PE of 20 that's a $2.40 stock price!!!

Again this is a conservative estimate because historically TGC has had a higher PE ratio and I'm not taking into effect future growth.  $95 oil wasn't realized in this quarter and will take into account next quarter.
Title: Re: TGC

KNOXVILLE, TN--(MARKET WIRE)--May 21, 2008 -- Tengasco, Inc. (AMEX:TGC - News)
The May 2008 issue of the publication Oil & Gas Financial Journal reporting on the performance of public oil and gas companies lists Tengasco as the 12th fastest growing oil and gas company, 5th best in percentage return on total assets, and 6th best in return on total revenue percentage based upon the measures used by the magazine. Jeffrey R. Bailey, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, "It is extremely gratifying for the efforts of Tengasco to be recognized in several critical categories of growth in an industry publication like the Oil & Gas Financial Journal. For Tengasco to be named as a leader in three separate categories of the 144 public companies covered by the article is a strong vote of confidence in the direction and management model that is serving us well. While the oil and gas industry has certainly received a benefit from higher commodity prices, measures like those described in this article tend to be more a reflection of efforts generated by the Company's actions and the efforts of its employees, and the subsequent results of those actions and efforts, and therefore are received on behalf of Tengasco with great pride."
