Title: PESI
Post by: catrader on September 08, 2005, 11:45:48 AM
pesi 2.68 +0.40, in the toxic cleanup business.  positive income statement and might get work from hurricane katrina aftermath.  what you think?  also others to consider in the segment wsii 3.35 -0.08 and mpwg 2.27 +0.28.  which one looks best to you?

I am in PESI at 2.11, MPWG in at 2.20 and looking to get into BEL tomorrow.  WSII - bad management, poor balance sheet - could get some action with hurricane, but may be last in pack to lead.

good luck.

Title: PESI $1.8...REPORTS RECORD REVENUES AND NET INCOME FOR 2005
Post by: terabemo on March 06, 2006, 12:34:06 PM
PESI today reported record yearly revenues and net income for 2005.

Earnings Highlights:

* Revenue increased by 10.2% to $91M in 2005 from $$88M in 2004.

* 2005 Net Income was a Record $3.6 million 8c/share vs a Loss of $19.6 million or 48c/share in 2004.

In addition, PESI announced today that it has been awarded a $9.4 million subcontract to remove and treat approximately 180 cubic meters of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) special process waste from the DOE Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant located in Piketon, Ohio.

http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060307/fltu007.html?.v=44

PESI is an environmental/waste treatment with a growing position in the treatment of nuclear waste in the comercial and defense industries due to unique patented processes

This nuclear-waste treatment sector is undergoing aggressive consolidation because this sector is huge and recently estimated to be at least $7Billion dollars. This is because of increased use of cheap nuclear energy to generate electricity compared to oil and gas.

Competitor Duratek (DRTK) was recently acquired for 2X revenues. Should PESI be sold, it would fetch about $4/share.

Regardless of whether or not PESI is ever acquired, the major improvement accomplished in 2005 and the new rich comntract announced today, position PESI in a strong position for 2006 and beyond.

Institutions have been accumulating PESI shares heavily in recent months:

Insiders also keep increasing their position in PESI:

http://www.secform4.com/insider/show...y.php?cik=pesi

PESI is currently trading at a low P/S ratio of 0.8. I believe that there is a lot of upside for this stock...short and long term.

The company will conduct a CC at 11AM Eastern Time to discuss these results and to give us a preview for 2006.

ABOUT PESI:

My pick for the 6th Edition Contest ;)

1. My Pick:  ** (PESI) Perma-Fix Environmental Services Inc. **

2. Reason:   PESI's income statement is consistently increasing year over year, The Company's balance sheet also improving since 2002. And this first quarter of 2006 Perma-Fix Environmental Services Inc. has reported its best first quarter in company history.

The technicals looks also very good, as you can see we got BIG white candle for Friday's session I hope for pullback to the middle of white marubozu on Monday opening for better entry price for the contest.

The first chart we got an Ascending Triangle breakout & the second chart is looks to be a 2.5 years Symmetrical Triangle pattern. & last but not the least one of my favorite, I also considered this as a sign of fast uptrend "The Three Magic" (50sma, 200sma, 200ema clustering together – weekly & daily scale) in other words all the moving average for PESI are below the price so there is not much pressure there, First it needs to break the resistance below $3 before facing the major resistance around $3.75 ... time will tell ;)

P.S.  I will pick up PESI just above the support area @ 2.20 if it goes down there, around 2.20 - 2.40 should be a good entry point for the pullback. ;)

3. Chart:

I will not use stop for now or maybe not, Because If you misses the weekly chart 50sma or 9sma if you prefer... I firmly believed when a stock that just broke above 200sma & 200ema & if the 9sma follows to crossed above those 2 moving averages on weekly chart with good volume.... there is always a BIG chance that the stock will continue to rise in the medium term & possibly for Long-term if the company recently reported a good earnings. The only thing is hard is to sit on your shares & to be patience... ;)

Here is the PESI chart and some perfect example, good luck!! ;)

Didn't PESI warn that they would have a big charge this quarter?. I believe due to an acquisition  or maybe a sale of some non-performing division?

My guess is that PESI will dip under $2 after earnings. Long-term PESI woud be OK since nuclear waste treatment is on the upswing as a result of high crude prices.
