QUEST REOPENS SLATER BRANCH POND CREEK SEAM
Quest Minerals and Mining Corp (OCTBB:QMMG) is reopening its Pond Creek mine at Slater's Branch, KY. With Shelbi Coal Company as its contractor.
CEO William Wheeler states, "Because of a ruling in Boyd County Circuit Court we have been allowed to reopen and commence mining with Shelbi Coal. Prior to full production we have some lease renegotiation to be completed. Shelbi's target is 40,000 tons per month when full production is reached. They have also agreed to reopen the Lower Cedar Grove Seam at the same level of production of 40,000 tons per month."
Quest is also currently investigating a lease on a preparation plant within 12 miles of the mine which would increase the margins for both parties. The Pond Creek seam when mined cleaned or washed is a premium product of over 12,500 BTU's and less than .6% sulfur.
William Spears, CEO of JJ Resources and the joint venture partner with Quest in a 6,000,000 ton project in Knott County is in charge of the reopening project.

I didn t like the action yesterday even we closed up 6.67% for the day. There was too little volume for a ongoing rally thats why i sold. There was Long Legged Doji is a doji characterized by very long shadows. It shows the indecision of the buyers and sellers and it is an important reversal signal.
This particular doji shows that there is a great amount of indecision in the market. Long-legged Doji shows that the prices traded well above and below the opening price however they closed virtually at the level of the opening price. We have an end result with little change from the initial open despite all the excitement and volatility during the day showing that the market has lost its sense of direction.

Thursday March 29, 6:30 am ET
PATERSON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quest Minerals & Mining Corp. (OTCBB: QMMG - News; Frankfurt: QMN.F - News), a Kentucky based operator of energy and mineral related properties, today provided an update on its efforts to reopen its Pond Creek mine located at Slater's Branch Kentucky.
Rodney A. Robinson, President of General Mining, Quest's mine operator, stated, "We are pleased to report that our rehabilitation and reopening of the Pond Creek mine is currently on schedule. We have made significant progress in completing the required rehabilitation items, and we continue to believe that we can complete these items by the end of April, 2007. In addition, Quest provided an update on the non-binding letter of intent between Quest and Parsons Branch Development to acquire a permit to mine the Elkhorn #2 seam on Parsons Branch located in Mud Creek, Kentucky. Parsons Branch Development has approximately 450,000 tons of clean coal under lease at this location. The letter of intent remains in effect and Quest intends to complete this transaction. Upon completion of the transfer of the permit to Quest, Quest would retain all revenues from coal sales after payment of a royalty to Parsons Branch of $1.50 per clean ton mined and expenses of mine operations, which are expected to be carried out by a contract miner.
Eugene Chiaramonte, Jr., President of Quest, said, "With approximately 450,000 tons of clean coal, we believe that this project has tremendous potential. We have been seeking new energy opportunities to enhance stockholder value, and we believe that the Big Mud Creek region holds great opportunity. We are excited about working with Parson Branch Development to create real value with this prospect."
The transaction is subject to due diligence, negotiation of definitive agreements, regulatory approval of the transaction, and satisfaction of other customary conditions to closing.
