Joystar Attains $30 Million in Annualized Sales
9/27/05
ALISO VIEJO, CA, Sep 27, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) --
Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB: JYSR), the Nation's largest and fastest-growing travel agency network announced today the Company is experiencing sequential double-digit monthly growth in travel sales for 2005 and that August bookings reached $30 million annualized.
The dramatic increase in bookings for August puts the Company at a current run-rate of $30,000,000 in annual sales. William M. Alverson, CEO of Joystar, commented, "We are pleased to report the continued month-over-month growth in travel bookings. Based on the dramatic strength in bookings and rate at which they are growing, we believe we will reach $100 million in annualized bookings by the end of the first quarter in 2006."
Joystar's leadership position as the nation's largest and fastest-growing network of travel agents continues to gain momentum. The Company attributes its dramatic growth to several important factors including the opening and expansion of the Miami Cruise Center, enhanced preferred supplier commissions, and organic growth in professional agent memberships, which recently exceeded 2,500 professional agents.
The emerging virtual travel agency model represents $7.6 billion in travel sales annually (Source: Credit Suisse/ First Boston). Joystar is capitalizing on this model by providing this growing segment of the travel agent community with the resources to grow their businesses more effectively.
Alverson continued, "Joystar's gross travel bookings increased 100% from July to August which clearly demonstrates the acceptance of our value proposition to the travel agent community. It validates our strategy of forgoing sign-up fees and transaction fees in lieu of creating a true partnership with thousands of professional travel sellers." Although bookings do not constitute revenue or income under generally accepted accounting principles, the Company feels that the growth in bookings is increasingly an indication of the consumer buying its travel agent network is capable of generating.

Hi gmarc
I never did get in this stock either. Looks like we both missed out on a good one here but according to the chart this stock will still go higher and with the new
chinese investor I think that will only make it go higher.
Goodluck trading to you gmarc :)
Expecting Record Earnings and Sales this past qtr/year... Insiders have been buying all constantly and they would not be doing that at this time if they were coming out with a less than stellar qtr/yearly results. Last insider buy was 60,000 shares on Feb 13th. 8)
FWIW....I got it from a reliable source that since this is the yearly report it is not due towards the end of the month...At least we now have a time-frame to work with....Somebody keep buying...GLTA
Well..i finally just decided to pick some up after i saw yet again more insider buying in the .70's range yesterday. Something definitely has to be up. So, i'm just going to set it aside and let it sit til its ready, never know when these things will move, but market is green so..could happen anytime, but this time i want to be ready..or else i know i will forget about it and miss out like i did on CTUM.
I had let CTUM go by when i had noticed all the insider buying going in which happened in the fall of 2005....ctum kept going up slightly and would fall back and doddle, then finally made its fantastic run these past couple of weeks. Run had first started just before good news was fianlly released..then when the news was released it tripled from that point. Had i got in when i noticed the insider buys it would have been many multiple baggers more than that.
http://www.secform4.com/insider/showhistory.php?cik=jysr
So..after all that blab...that is why i bought JYSR....something has to be brewing.
wish me luck. :D

have a great long weekend.

About BUYINS.NET
WWW.BUYINS.NET is a service designed to help bonafide shareholders of publicly traded US companies fight naked short selling. Naked short selling is the illegal act of short selling a stock when no affirmative determination has been made to locate shares of the stock to hypothecate in connection with the short sale. Buyins.net has built a proprietary database that uses Threshold list feeds from NASDAQ, AMEX and NYSE to generate detailed and useful information to combat the naked short selling problem. For the first time, actual trade by trade data is available to the public that shows the attempted size, actual size, price and average value of short sales in stocks that have been shorted and naked shorted. This information is valuable in determining the precise point at which short sellers go out-of-the-money and start losing on their short and naked short trades.
BUYINS.NET has built a massive database that collects, analyzes and publishes a proprietary SqueezeTrigger for each stock that has been shorted, www.buyins.net/squeezetrigger.pdf. The SqueezeTrigger database of nearly 600,000,000 short sale transactions goes back to January 1, 2005 and calculates the exact price at which the Total Short Interest is short in each stock. This data was never before available prior to January 1, 2005 because the Self Regulatory Organizations (primary exchanges) guarded it aggressively. After the SEC passed Regulation SHO, exchanges were forced to allow data processors like Buyins.net to access the data.
The SqueezeTrigger database collects individual short trade data on over 7,000 NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ stocks and general short trade data on nearly 8,000 OTCBB and PINKSHEET stocks. Each month the database grows by approximately 50,000,000 short sale transactions and provides investors with the knowledge necessary to time when to buy and sell stocks with outstanding short positions. By tracking the size and price of each month's short transactions, BUYINS.NET provides institutions, traders, analysts, journalists and individual investors the exact price point where short sellers start losing money.

thanks gateway for the heads up on JYSR just being listed on the naked short list.
However, SUWN, USXP,NIHK, VRDI...are also on the list, and were on the list during their runs.
I have seen stocks on this list many times before where the pps just took off regardless of them being listed on the naked short list. And, once off the list, doesn't mean that they will run. So, if a stock is ready to go, it will...and the shorts will just have to scitter around and try to cover ;D
Not saying that JYSR is going to run no matter what...but, insiders are buying for a reason...when this will go is yet to be dermined.

Joystar Names Stewart Chiron President of Cruise Division
Thursday February 23, 12:41 pm ET
ALISO VIEJO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 23, 2006 -- Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB:JYSR.OB - News), one of the nation's largest travel agency networks and leading seller of cruises and vacations, announced today Stewart Chiron has been named President of the Company's Cruise Division.
Mr. Chiron's career in the cruise industry spans over 16 years. He is nationally recognized as "The Cruise Guy," one of the cruise industry's foremost experts and regularly appears on various ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX & WGN TV and radio affiliates, and ABC News' "Good Morning America" and CNN.
He has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Newsday and The Miami Herald as well as in Money, Family Circle, Kiplinger's, Smart Money, and Tom Parson's Best Fares. In 2005, "Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel" and MSNBC named him in the "Top 15 Cruise Brokers."
Before joining Joystar Mr. Chiron held management positions at some of the largest cruise agencies in the nation. He was a Vice President at Travel Services International and CEO of The Cruise Line, Inc., the third largest cruise agency in the industry at the time.
As President of Joystar's Cruise Division, Mr. Chiron will head up Joystar's Miami, Florida operation. He will oversee the rapid expansion of the Company's retail unit as they continue to recruit the industry's top cruise selling agents. He will also work closely with Joystar's preferred cruise suppliers to develop unique, value-added products and seek new business through non-traditional marketing channels.
William M. Alverson, Chairman and CEO of Joystar stated, "We're pleased to have Stewart at the helm of our growing cruise business unit. He is enjoying a warm welcome by many of his former colleagues who have also recently joined Joystar and shares managements' vision of building the largest cruise agency in the world. To accomplish this admittedly aggressive goal, Stewart and his team will focus on the product knowledge and intensive sales training of our national sales force.
"Cruise vacations offer such tremendous value and the satisfaction rate is higher than any other vacation product. Still, most Americans have yet to take their first cruise. This represents a massive opportunity for those companies bold enough to stake their claim. We're going to educate new audiences on the value of cruise vacations and what better person to lead this effort than Stewart," Alverson added.
Stewart Chiron commented, "I am thrilled to work with such an exciting group of professionals. It's especially nice to be reunited with so many of my former colleagues -- many of whom have been in the cruise business for more than 20 years. These people have come to Joystar from some of the best cruise agencies in the country. We're going to fill a huge vacuum created by the cruise agency roll-ups of the late 1990s and make Joystar the agency of choice for cruisers worldwide. There is an oversupply of online agencies claiming to offer consumers the lowest price. What they fail to provide is expert service from highly trained vacation advisors.
"This is what consumers yearn for most when purchasing complex travel -- the peace of mind that comes only when you have entrusted your hard earned vacation dollars with a true professional. When someone calls on Joystar and our network of professional travel agents, they're going to enjoy unbiased advice from a trusted advisor. We're not looking for transactional business. We're looking to build long term relationships with our clients. This is the vision of everyone at Joystar and it's the reason I'm here now."

Joystar Announces JM Dutton Analyst Increases Rating to Strong Speculative Buy
Raises Twelve Month Target Price to $1.20
ALISO VIEJO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/13/06 -- Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB: JYSR), one of the
nation's largest and fastest growing travel agency networks and leading
seller of cruises and vacation packages, announced today that Dutton
Associates (www.jmdutton.com) analyst, Richard West, CFA, increased his
Rating for Joystar to strong speculative buy. From the report:
Joystar Rating Raised to Strong Speculative Buy; Home-based Travel Agency
Business Model Continues to Mature, by Richard W. West, CFA
Rationale for Rating
The home-based travel agency business model continues to mature as
thousands of agency owners close their "bricks and mortars" travel agencies
and migrate into the world of virtual travel agencies. Joystar is
capitalizing on the fact that ninety percent of high margin complex travel
is booked through professional agents. (Complex travel includes cruises,
group cruises, vacation packages and group vacation packages.) Joystar is
a relatively new, development-stage company that is quickly making its
presence known in hosting services from travel agents through
Internet-based travel markets. Since the November 2004 launch of its
hosting program, Joystar has made significant progress in the last nine
months, and is maturing into a major virtual travel agency.

Joystar Signs New Agents Representing Over $25 Million in Business During First Ten Weeks of 2006
Top Producing Leisure Agents Attracted by Promise of Bright Future With Joystar
ALISO VIEJO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/28/06 -- Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB: JYSR), one of the nation's fastest growing travel agency networks and leading seller of cruises and vacation packages, today announced that in the first ten weeks of 2006, the Company signed agreements with new travel agent members representing over $25 million in annual cruise and vacation business.
Joystar added more than 250 new travel agent members during January and February. Most of these professionals were won in direct competition with other host agencies -- continuing the traction gained by offering a far superior value proposition and three hosting solutions designed to meet the unique needs of the travel agent community.
William M. Alverson, CEO of Joystar, commented, "We are pleased with the momentum Joystar has achieved during the first weeks of 2006. It's gratifying to see the strategic business decisions we made in 2005 be so well received by our new and existing members. Our value proposition as the travel industry's best host travel agency continues to set us apart from the pack."
"Professional travel sellers come in all shapes and sizes and it is evident in our diverse membership. We have 20-year travel industry veterans working part-time; multi-million dollar a year cruise-only agents; we have enterprising agency owners hosting their own sales force of 100+ independent contractors; and energetic entrepreneurs embarking on a second career."
"It's exciting to work with the level of talent and entrepreneurial spirit our membership represents. Our job -- regardless of whether an agent works full-time or part-time, and regardless of whether they are a veteran or a rookie -- is to support each and every one them every step of the way. You never can tell who your Shining Stars are going to be, so we treat every member as a valued partner," Alverson added.
New agent sign-ups were driven by technology investments, value proposition enhancements, and the further strengthening of Joystar's preferred supplier relationships. The Company also attributes successful branding initiatives, positive media coverage in travel industry trade magazines including Agent at Home and Travel Agent, and the maturing and acceptance of the home-based travel agent business model.

JYSR: Joystar's First Quarter '06 Sales Eclipse All of 2005 Gross Bookings Hit $80 Million Run-Rate
Tuesday April 18, 8:30 am ET
ALISO VIEJO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 18, 2006 -- Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB:JYSR.OB - News), one of the nation's largest and fastest growing travel agency networks and leading seller of cruises and vacations, today announced gross travel bookings for the first 3 months of 2006 of over $17 million -- surpassing the $16.5 million in total gross bookings for the entire 2005 calendar year.
Joystar CEO, William M. Alverson, commented, "In September of last year, Joystar announced annualized sales surpassed $30,000,000. In January of this year, sales reached $60,000,000 annualized. Then in March -- just two months later -- Joystar's sales hit an $80 million run-rate. We are all thrilled with the incredible growth the Company experienced in the first quarter. Equally impressive is the fact that 90% of our sales are in the high margin cruises and vacation package products versus low margin air bookings."
Joystar added 396 new travel agent members in the first quarter of 2006. Many of Joystar's new members were won in direct competition with other host agencies by offering a far superior value proposition and three hosting solutions designed to meet the unique and varying needs of independent travel sellers.
Alverson added, "The business of hosting professional independent travel agents is still in its infancy. It is estimated that of the approximate 125,000 professional travel agents currently working in the industry, over 50,000 will be working virtually by 2010. This group alone will control billions of dollars in leisure travel spend annually. There is also a growing number of part-time cruise and vacation sellers entering the fold. This emerging group has the potential to number over 1 million in the next decade. And, while individually they do not produce as much as a full-time agent, as a group they have the potential be just as powerful when it comes to total travel sold."
"We have invested over 8 million dollars to build the biggest and best host agency in the travel industry. Although we are very pleased with what we have accomplished since going to market in late 2004, we remain laser-focused on gaining market share and differentiating Joystar from the competition. Our strategy is to continue to invest in the technology and infrastructure that will empower the travel agent community with all of the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. We are also aggressively recruiting the top producing travel agents in the industry which only adds to our competitive advantage over other host agencies. It's becoming increasingly difficult for our competitors to match our total value proposition."
Although bookings do not constitute revenue or income under generally accepted accounting principles, the Company feels that the growth in bookings is increasingly an indication of the consumer buying its travel agent network is capable of generating.

Joystar Announces Record Bookings and Revenue for First Quarter 2006
Friday May 12, 3:37 pm ET :) :) :)
ALISO VIEJO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 12, 2006 -- Joystar, Inc. (OTC BB:JYSR.OB - News), one of the nation's fastest growing travel agency networks and leading seller of cruises and vacations, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2006.
Key operating highlights for the quarter ended March 31, 2006:
-- Gross bookings increased to $18,036,630, up 1306% year-over-year and
187% sequentially from the prior quarter.
-- Revenues increased to $2,183,000, up 1710% year-over-year and 215%
sequentially over the prior quarter.
-- Revenue margins (defined as revenue as a percentage of gross bookings)
grew 29% (an increase of 270 basis points) to 12.1% compared to first
quarter 2005.
-- Gross bookings and revenue increased sequentially for the sixth
straight quarter.
-- First quarter 2006 gross bookings and revenue surpassed totals for
entire 2005 year.
William M. Alverson, Chairman and CEO, commented, "We experienced our strongest quarter ever; building on the foundation we have laid to be the dominant seller of complex travel in the industry. The exceptional growth we've seen this quarter is a testament to the opportunity existing in the emerging host travel agency business model. It is also a validation of our strategy to focus on organic top line growth in complex travel bookings and our professional agent network."
The substantial increases in gross bookings and revenue are due to three factors:
1. Continued rapid expansion of professional agent membership
2. Significant increases in commission levels from our preferred
suppliers
3. The caliber of agent Joystar is attracting.
"We have been very successful in attracting professional travel agents and, at the same time, eroding our competitors' market share. In the first quarter, we added 396 agents to our network. We are very pleased with this result taking into consideration we shifted to fee-based memberships at the beginning of the year from free memberships in 2005. Many new agents were won in direct competition with other host agencies by offering a far superior value proposition and three unique hosting solutions designed to meet the varying needs of the travel agent community."
General and Administrative expenses for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 were $953,000 compared to $504,000 for the quarter ended March 31, 2005. The increase of $449,000 was due to increased headcount and resulting payrolls of $351,000 in the new Miami office, increased accounting and legal of 63,000, increased rent in Miami and California ($39,000).
Despite costs associated with the integration and expansion of our new division in Miami, the Company reduced the net loss by 54% to $321,497 in first quarter 2006 compared to $655,666 in first quarter 2005. The net loss includes a non-cash expense of $155,401 in stock issued for services.
"Throughout 2005 and continuing in the first quarter of 2006, Joystar's commission levels with our preferred suppliers increased substantially. As our network expands and commissions & overrides increase with higher bookings, we believe this will have a positive impact on the profitability of the Company," Alverson added.
