RDCM has a market cap of just $36M, so clearly there's potential for fast short term moves on this stock.
We got 3rd quarter results yesterday: RADCOM Reports Financial Results for the Third Quarter of 2005 - Continued Strong Momentum: Sales Reach $5.9M, 3rd Straight Quarter With Above-40% YOY Growth 3rd Consecutive Profitable Quarter With $0.03 EPS (http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/newsarticle.asp?siteid=mktw&sid=44298&guid=%7BBABD0173%2D2967%2D481B%2D83EE%2DCFB693F7554C%7D&symb=)
Some highlights:
- Revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2005 were $15,762,000, an increase of 44% compared to $10,977,000 for the first nine months of 2004. Net income for the first nine months of 2005 was $729,000, or $0.05 per ordinary share (basic and diluted), compared to a net loss of $(1,435,000), or $(0.11) per ordinary share (basic and diluted), for the first nine months of 2004.
- Commenting on the results, Arnon Toussia-Cohen, President and CEO of RADCOM, said, "The momentum of the past two years intensified during the third quarter, delivering 42% revenue growth year-over-year and an 8% net margin, while boosting our cash and securities above $10 million. The pace of our growth has increased during the past three quarters, driven by our success in penetrating major 3G cellular and VoIP service providers worldwide and our rising strength in the U.S., which contributed approximately half of our sales for the third quarter. As such, we are now positioned as a 'player' in the high-potential 3G and VoIP monitoring market segments.
- Revenues for the fourth quarter of 2005 are expected to be between $6.3 million and $6.8 million.
With revenues growing about 11% per quarter and more than 40% year on year, I see profits from this small company rising a lot. The share price still doesn't reflect these changes at RDCM.
Technically volume was very strong yesterday, but the stock has some resistance ahead on the medium term chart. That's probably why it didn't rose more than 15% yesterday.
I think it is just a matter of time for RDCM to kiss the descending trendline goodbye and aim higher. I want to participate, so I'll buy RDCM around today's open for the 3 Stocks on Fire Portfolio.
There is something about this.... too quite... anyway, I'm in @ 2.35 ..
Just filling the gap. Though I am in too today. :)
Speaking as someone who has visited Radcom (and other members of the RAD Group) in Israel on many occasions (in my former life in the semiconductor industry I worked closely with their R&D and commercial departments) I am pleased Radcom is finding success especially in the US. They had some outstanding technology in 3G and VOIP, but when I was involved they were always struggling to balance super technology with the right price point to achieve market penetration and profit. By the results posted, look like they have started to get that part right for sure.
Low volume pullback today, not totally surprising, supported by the 50sma at $2.25/$2.26 (daily weekly)
If interested here is a .pdf summary of the RAD Group of companies. I believe others are listed on the Nasdaq as well.

Thanks a lot for the insight aussietrader, I'll read that document for the next update on RDCM (today I'm short in time, as usual :-[)
RDCM clashed to that all important descending trendline and couldn't break it at first attempt. People sold out in disappointment. There's a gap to be filled at $2.20, I think the low for this move may be near that level.
Ultimately the stock will probably break the descending trendline and trend higher. I'll give it some room to do that.
Pay attention, the gap was closed, the high on the 28th of October was $2.20 and the low yesterday was $2.21, so, by definition of a gap, all prices were traded now, so the gap is closed.
I see RDCM fighting again with its resistance level now, which for today stands at $2.47, and then breaking it on the upside.
Is moving and as David said.. there is a fight!!
the last half hour all are buys in Island...

Another hit at the resistance level !
The gap is definitely closed, the stock isn't looking down anymore, I believe. It's looking up to that descending trendline. Bears still have their weapons, but I think they are starting to retreat.
Look at the volume, soon that descending trendline will be below the stock price, not above.
I'll continue holding RDCM.
I jumped in yesterday at 2.25 hoping to add some fuel...
Good luck and happy trading.

RDCM is still fighting with that descending trendline that looks like a tough resistance. But acting as support we have a new ascending trendline that may prevail, given the turnaround in fundamentals from this very small cap (just $33M in market cap).
I'll keep on holding RDCM, expecting it to break $2.46 on the upside and on a closing basis. Support stands at $2.20.
Seems a lot of people are reportting on this stock today. Nice price jump at this moment.

Hello Hasadeur :)
Given the volume and price caracteristics I see Monday's candle as the start of a big move upwards. I think the stock may very well do a new 2005 high this week, above $3.44, which would represent a 27% rise from current levels.
This is clearly turning out to be one of those small cap momentum stocks that can fly a lot, like NVAX, for example. It wouldn't surprise me to see it above $5 before the year end.
Why? Because the market cap is way too low, just $40M, so anything can happen. In fact, I still have to make my exploring and filtering today, but I'm thinking RDCM is a strong candidate for the 3 SOF
Fast Portfolio.
So if I were you I would jump in at the open, not waiting for a pullback. But I can be wrong, and a pullback may occur. Either way, I'll continue holding RDCM, just look at the charts below, extremely bullish:
Oh, I just saw you ask for a good stop level if you were to buy this stock ... from the NVAX experience I find it hard to place logical stops in these kind of stocks, I think you just buy it and when you're winning 20% you start thinking where to get out with a profit, not with a loss.
Though you can always check these daily updates for an exit strategy, one thing is for sure, someday I'll sell this stock, and I don't think it will be with a loss.
Good luck for us !
Bulls just took a nap on RDCM yesterday. Probably today they will wake up with renewed strength and push this thing to new highs.
Market cap is low and fundamentals saw turnaround. Watch for a NVAX/BCON style mover. I'll try to sell high, not low, not near current levels.
$2.82 is giving a fight, but look at the volume power now, soon this resistance level will be behind us.
If $2.82 is taken out on close I get $3.83 as the next technical target. Enough reason to keep RDCM in the 3 Stocks on Fire Portfolio.

$2.82 is behind us now. No more resistance, now this level will act as a support zone. As I said I can see only blue skies from here. The technical target of this bullish breakout is $3.83, I expect this level to be reached maybe next week.
David applaud again, great pick and analysis.

RDCM completely broke out $2.82, with volume above average, a white candle and no gap. What more could a man want?
Now we have a resistance level at $3.44. We'll see what the stock's reaction will be to this level. If we break that RDCM will be at 5 year highs.
We'll see, for now I just have to keep on holding this winning trade.
RADCOM Offers IMS Testing Solution for Fixed and Wireless Service Providers and Vendors
Tuesday November 15, 6:01 am ET
3G World Congress & Exhibition, HONG KONG, November 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCM - News), a leading network test and service monitoring solutions provider, today announced the availability of its IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) testing suite. IMS is an open, standardized, operator friendly, multimedia architecture for provisioning mobile and fixed IP services. IMS bridges cellular, Voice over Internet Protocol and WiMAX technologies simplifying delivery of FMC (Fixed and Mobile Convergence) services. Cellular service-providers want to test this advanced, SIP-based implementation to verify that it will support seamless provisioning and delivery of multimedia services even while subscribers roam outside of local coverage areas.
RADCOM's double-edged solution enables comprehensive, pre-deployment evaluation testing of competitive newly-developed, IMS network devices, services and architectures. The SIP services simulation tool allows customers to build call flows that stress various IMS network elements including the CSCF (Call Session Control Function), SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and media gateways. By deploying the company's multi-protocol analysis tool in tandem with its network simulation tool, customers can analyze signaling and media streams, audio and video transmissions, and the interactions among them, in a simulated, real-world, high volume environment.
"RADCOM's solutions enable IMS developers and service providers to emulate large IMS networks in which they can trace IMS transactions over both wireless and wireline interfaces" said Ofir Michael, Director of Product Management for VoIP and IPTV Solutions. "By providing hardware and software based solutions that both simulate and monitor IMS services, RADCOM is keeping its commitment to provide high-performance, leading-edge solutions that help keep our customers ahead of the telecom technology curve."
Thanks for posting the news la-onda :) (still didn't have time to address those private messages, sorry :-[)
Also, yesterday, there were some other news:
RADCOM Wins Contract to Provide GSM/GPRS and CDMA2000 Service Monitoring Solution to Rural Cellular Corporation (http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/newsarticle.asp?siteid=mktw&sid=44298&guid=%7BD550131D%2DE19A%2D4CA1%2DADA6%2D83A8CDE28D66%7D&symb=)
These are positives, but the stock went down on profit taking after the higher open. But, this is still an undervalued company with just $42.5M in market cap.
Technically the stock came down to test prior $2.82 resistance level, now support. I see no reason to sell at support, if it weren't for those strict money management rules I would even think on adding to my winning position.
Since I can't add, I'll just hold.
I did not enjoy seeing it break 2.82 Surely you are going to sell? i really do not have the funds to sit and watch this sucker go down to next level of support. But your mention of adding more was unique, even thou you cant. you forced to following your rules?
Thanks for posting puent on this matter. Wea re well below support now. Is David selling or not? Kind of hope not as I think the areq of support is fuzzy and could well be anywaher above 2.70 just using the candel body rather than the 2.82 spike up last August.
I wait with bated breath?
(What a lousy day this one was)
I didn't like either!!!!!!!!! so .. I sold @2.74 just in case and to see from outside.. If it deserve I'll be in again,, but for now I'm not interested really
SINCE I CANT SEEM TO SPELL I AM REDOING MY MSG SPELLED CORRECTLY:
Thanks for posting( puent) on this matter. We are well below support now. Is David selling or not? Kind of hope not as I think the area of support is fuzzy and could well be anywhere above 2.70 just using the candle body rather than the 2.82 spike up last August.
I see that enough are nervous about this that they are not sticking around.
I wait with bated breath?
Hummm... I think areas of support and resistance are always fuzzy. I think of them as zones and not as an absolute price. I think today's overall sell off in the market is to blame and let's not focus on a particular stock. There's nothing wrong with RDCM
Defender, all you have to do is hit modify, there fore not making a new post. Plus if you ever talk good about a stock and it goes horribly wrong, you can go change what you say ;D
I am going to have to sell. With david there are no fuzzy lines. its black and white. no grey zone. So i figure i will sell. :'(
Ill make the next boat. good thing about this place, boats are always ready to launch
Although this stock has good fundamentals, I think that most of the good news has been factored into the stock and for now there is some profit taking or pull back from an overbought position.
As mentioned, first support seemed to be about 2.70, thereafter 2.50 (representing 50% retracement from its breakout at 1.80).
Would like to see it decending to one of these support level at about average volume, and also working off its overbought position to get in on this stock.
Seem like most are heading for the exits here with RDCM; I will see how it behaves in the am; if it does not move back above 2.82 I will sell as well

I don't think David sold. He didn't say he was going to sell at or just below support. Otherwise he would have said so!
I also did not sell. Still think it was profit taking. Yesterday was a very bad day for the 3SOF portfolio, all of them :'( .Only PD, TII, DRDF and TSM went up a little. I see no other reason than profit taking. On non of them the fundamentals changed as far as I can see. Today the sun should shine again ::).

Amarens
Amarens is right, of course I didn't sell, I only sell when I previously say I will !
I can identify support and resistance areas, but if the final word sent on the newsletter is «HOLD», it means I will «HOLD» whatever happens. If I were to sell I would have said: «HOLD, unless the stock is set to close below support at $2.82».
Not considering the short term noise and fluctuations, we have higher highs and higher lows on the big picture. I see no reason for this to change, at all. So I expect a high above $3.44 before the year's end for RDCM.
Therefore, I'll continue holding.
I understand you said hold, but that was when it was above the support. I guess there is a grey line.
I appoligize to anyone that followed me out on this. However I think i even thru viniger on my wound. SO THERE I WAS:
I did not have a good feeling not knowing what david was going to do? and the fact that it broke support level of 2.82 and then davids comment on wanting to buy more.
So I put a sell limit at 2.70 if it went down, i assumed it would continue. If it went up, well i would still have my shares. WELL WOULD YOU KNOW IT WENT TO 2.70 SOLD; THEN WENT INTO THE 80's.
Once again i appoligoize if anyone thinks i misled them. I hope this goes to 3.42, but it can do it with out me.
No problem puenthouse :) Tell me, do you receive the daily newsletter? There I provide the concise instruction. If I write «HOLD», it means I will hold whatever the circumstances. If I write «HOLD, unless support X is broken», it means I will sell only if the stock is set to break support on close. So no "grey area", I hope this is clear.
I can identify technical support levels but that doesn't mean I will sell if the stock breaks them.
Trading Plan for RDCM: Take profits at the upper end of the ascending channel, at about $4 a share. As downside protection, I will sell if the stock closes below the green ascending trendline, which for today stands at $2.38.
Nice 10% jump from RDCM yesterday. There were no news out, I'll just keep the plan:
QuoteTake profits at the upper end of the ascending channel, above $4 a share. As downside protection, I will sell if the stock closes below the green ascending trendline, which for today stands at $2.40.
RDCM 50-day average is going to break 200-day avg.
If it will take place we are in very bull trend, isn't it?!
Here is an article about networking equipment:
http://www.telecommagazine.com/Americas/Article.asp?Id=AR_427
Best,
Vova
Thanks for that article voova99, quite bullish for RDCM too :)
I plotted the 50 day (yellow) and the 200 day (grey) moving averages on the chart, and there was no crossover yet, but it looks like it's coming.
The fundamentals for this company are attractive and improving, I see no reason for the stock not to go to the upper end of its ascending channel.
I'll continue with my trading plan:
QuoteTake profits at the upper end of the ascending channel, above $4 a share. As downside protection, I will sell if the stock closes below the green ascending trendline, which for today stands at $2.43.
Volume yesterday was extremely low on RDCM, just 57,000 shares traded :P
I think fundamentals and technicals will take this stock to the upper end of its long term ascending channel, we'll see about that. As protection I use the green ascending trendline on the first chart below. For today that trendline stands at $2.45.
So, the trading plan is to sell above $4 OR IF the stock is set to close below $2.45.
You know what? I feel kind of bearish on small caps, as you can read here: Current General Market Overview (http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=3785.msg34677#msg34677)
RDCM failed to breakout and I fear my 14% open profit will be wipe out in just 2 or 3 days. Investors are bidding up medium and large caps and they're letting most small caps drift.
More important than having plans is the flexibility to adapt to ever changing conditions (although I never change them intraday).
So I will sell RDCM around today's open.
Well just thought I would point out that the breakout finally happened today with RDCM closing at 3.28. I sold half my shares (trading) near here as I expect a little consolidation in t he low 3s; but still having a lot of shares I think there may be something brewing behind this 15% move today.
David, if you are reading this you may want to take a look. Also, consider SILCF which is part of the RDCM family. I was turned onto it today and am studying its potential.
Still hold KLIC by the way and expect that if 8.10 holds this will get back up to high 8s by next week.
Still hold TRAD as well ubt it has brought me pain recently
I also think ELN in the lows 10s is great buy - expect over $11 within two weeks.
Good luck
I'm back whit this(bought yesterday), I see $5 on the upside...
I Believe we have a new 52 week high.... ;D
1) Any comments on what might be a good sell point?
2) Would this be a good point to buy more since a confirm breakout occured?
3) Can anyone give a quicky on the fundamental since the next cc is on the 2nd of Feb?
Thanks....
Beroz >:D
Is anyone still holding on to RDCM? it made a 11.92 % run today to close at $4.79. Temp. resistance at $4.84 and the next would b $7.00. I bought this stock back at $2.33 when our Guru Randolph bought it for the 3SOF portfolio, never sold it since. So i guess this is my first 100% gains stock. I plan to continue to hold this. Can anyone share their insights regarding this stock.
Thanks
Beroz
RDCM has had its share of bad news lately with the most recent one being last week's warning. However, less than a month before the announcement DRCM's Chairman bought 263,000 shares in the open market paying an average $1.41/share. This to me means only one thing.....that the biggest insider and the largest shareholder expected significant long-term upside from his $1.41 price.
RDCM has a very small float and a strong balance sheet featuring about 60c/share and ZERO debt. RDCM's technology is excellent. They just need to do a little housekeeping, and with that they should rise again to a multiple of today's price.
Here is the chairman's announcement:
