Nighthawk Systems Unveils Revolutionary Pay Per Ping(TM) Telemetry Pricing For Electric Utilities; Revolutionary Wireless Access for Enterprise Customers
Business Editors / High-Tech Writers / Energy Writers
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2006-- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, will unveil its revolutionary Pay Per Ping(TM) pricing program in Tampa, FL at DistribuTECH 2006 next week. Pay Per Ping(TM) gives Nighthawk customers the option to deploy telemetry devices on a wireless network on a pay per use plan. Pay Per Ping(TM) customers will pay no fixed rate recurring subscriber fees for devices activated through Nighthawk Systems. Pay Per Ping(TM) is only available for use with Nighthawk telemetry devices.
Electric utilities have historically had the desire to place large quantities of telemetry devices into the field for remote power connect/disconnect and load control, but often could not attain an adequate return on investment if a commercial carrier was involved because of fixed monthly recurring charges for each unit in the field. Now, with Pay Per Ping(TM) from Nighthawk, utilities will only incur a charge if a telemetry device is contacted. The effective price per unit for wireless access through Nighthawk Systems can now be pennies per month.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, stated, "We are thrilled to put our stamp on the wireless telemetry market with our Pay Per Ping(TM) program. Large scale applications which were previously cost-prohibitive are now affordable with this program. We look forward to launching a widespread marketing campaign centered around this pricing model next week at DistribuTECH, as I believe this program will result in more Nighthawk devices in the field."
I hope so. I'm ready to soar some more with "The Night Hawk" !

Nighthawk Systems Receives Order From Vermont Utility; Nighthawk Products Help With Load Control Needs
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2006-- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, announced today that it has received an additional order from Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) for 300 remote control devices to be used in their ongoing load control program. The Nighthawk controls will be installed at customer premises and will allow CVPS to control residential, 30 amp loads, primarily water heaters. CVPS has been ordering Nighthawk products since 2002, and this past October ordered similar units to remotely control loads of up to 200 amps at commercial sites that use large amounts of electricity.
In thousands of residences in the Northeast, the electrical circuit for hot water heaters is directed through a separate utility meter co-located with the main house meter. Antiquated systems using pre-set time clocks installed on the water heater have been used for decades to control loads during peak hours. Working with CVPS, Nighthawk designed the intelligent CEO30 wireless remote disconnect that is installed quickly and easily at the external meter, eliminating any premise wiring. In contrast to cumbersome pre-set time clocks, the CEO30 allows a utility to control loads on demand at the appropriate times.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are very pleased with this follow-on order from CVPS. Our meter-based disconnect design is the perfect solution for a number of Northeast utilities that use dual metering for electric loads. Working with CVPS and utilizing our proprietary Nighthawk control board, we have been able to adapt our popular CEO700 whole house disconnect solution to meet their unique, ongoing load control needs."

These sales are as worthless as all the other actual sales that don't seem to help the share price but the company likes to release the info anyway.
Local bagholders were overheard saying"What the F?" and "I can't believe the CEO couldn't sell some Caramel Delights, those things are awesome"
Stay tuned for more on this breaking story.

Very glad I did, but still hoping for recovery.

I'm taking a chance, but I loaded up the boat with shares of NIHK on monday in my ROTH IRA @ .085. as well as still holding shares @ .12. I like what they sell. I work for a Large Fire dept. in Missouri on a Hook and Ladder company and benifit from and know the importance of the systems. They sell "low cost" alerting systems for firehouses. With the financial cut backs large and small cities are being forced to make, as well as my city, they will flock to companies like Nighthawk when they need updated alerting systems.
http://www.nighthawksystems.com/industry/4/fire-departments
Maybe just change this topic to "bagholders" and everyone can bitch about the crappy penny stocks they are stuck with. I once owned at ton of shares in a stock that traded 2000 shs a day - whenever I sold some, the price would drop 10%!
But in 5 years, when NIHK is at .15, we will all be looking back and laughing about this
Wait! BREAKING NEWS.......................
Nighthawk will now be offering Doritos in their vending machines (not the one in the lobby, the one by the Men's room).....film at 11.
Now where's the sob who convinced me to buy this stock.........
News alert: Dont smite me, as I know many are pissed with this share like me.. I just wanted to let others know what I read. ( should be applauded ;) )
Continuing snowcat's story: Doritos found their way to alabama. ;D

Rickjust's chart shows a Liquid Pattern. I might throw some coin at it next week.
Still holding my shares at a pps of .139...and waiting it out...still hoping for the best :)
So...is the .08 seen twice on the charts here considered a double bottom...not sure if a certain time frame is required to make it a true db. If so, how well does that indicate that a possible healthy move north is due? As i'm wondering if i should add to my position to avg. down.
thanks

Julia, I would advise against the thought of averaging down.
That is something I never implement in my trading strategy. ;)
Bad investors average down, buying more shares of a sinking stock to decrease the average price per share they have paid. This strategy is like throwing good money after bad, and is hardly ever effective. In addition, it magnifies your losses if the stock keeps dropping. Nevertheless, individual investors seem to continually engage in this practice. >:D
Professionals are much more likely to 'Average Up.' They acquire more shares as the stock price climbs and the momentum of the company rises. They see increasing share prices as a confirmation of their research success, rather than a profit-taking opportunity.
Good luck with your trades...... ;D
Hawkeye.... 8)
hi,
have to agree with setravis, averaging down seems like hope rather than a solid plan.
if you have a leaky boat don't try plug the hole with water >:D
maxi
Thanks Setravis and Maxi for ur responses to my questions:)
Yes..i completely agree with u, normally i do not average down anymore as Setravis pointed out "it magnifies your losses if the stock keeps dropping", and i have been caught in that situation in the past many times before and lost alot more. :D (although, sometimes it actually worked!) But, i was just wondering if in this case it was perhaps a good idea since it seems a few of u think it may be on the rise again..or bouncing off the support (or possible double bottom...rickjust says hard to tell at this point)...so, that was my reasoning.
Thanks for your suggestions telling me not to average down..sometimes u just need people to spell it out for u :D...as I often do ;D I also don't have too much invested in NIHK, so yes, better not to risk more just in case., becaue if it does turn out to be a mover one day, I can avg. up as Setravis suggested, and/or still be in the clear anyway.
glta!!
thank you!
julia
I'm not in full agreeance on the "never average down" mantra. Many times it makes sense and I believe in saving some powder to get more shares at an average down point. For example, you buy XYZ at $5, which is a dollar above support at $4 but you're worried it might not pull back and could run to $10, so you buy. But alas it does pull back to support. So you average down at $4. Both buys are good. The buy at $5 gave you a long position if the stock did not pull back. The buy at $4 was at support. Just have to make sure to sell both positions quick if it drops below support.
hi lucas,
average down on a normal retracement on a stock that is trending up is fine but if the stock is trending down then the obvious thing to do would be to wait for a reversal . nihk looks like support at .08 but the overall trend is down , i would wait and see which way it goes over the next couple of days before throwing more cash at it.jmo
thanks,
maxi

Nighthawk Systems Continues to Sell to Nebraska Utilities
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2006-- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, announced today that it continues to receive recurring orders for its CEO-700 remote power disconnect units from Nebraska Public Power District. NPPD has placed two orders for CEO-700's this month. In February of this year, Nighthawk announced that it had also received an order for CEO-700's from Cornhusker Power of Nebraska.
NPPD first ordered from Nighthawk in early 2005 and shortly thereafter approved Nighthawk's CEO-700 as a stock item, meaning that field service personnel can request additional units without having to seek special budgetary approvals. This allows NPPD to keep CE0-700's in stock for use on an as needed basis, reducing order and installation timeframes.
The CEO-700 gives electric utilities the ability to remotely disconnect and reconnect power to electric meters, saving them significant time and money over the traditional manual disconnect/reconnect methods that require field personnel to be dispatched multiple times to customers' premises. A utility can often receive a return on its investment with one service disconnect and follow-on reconnect.

Thanks.

I am still holding. Question is company is serious forward looking and in good financial shape. One thing is about bidding they are doing.
But in last it is OTC traded stock. Also, I am in @ 0.124 so it'll come there and i'll sell it.

I took my loss and put those funds in GSHF. NIHK will probably recover but I felt like I can recover that loss faster with Ethanol which is in these days.
I decided to quit fast when a penny doesn't go my way.
We'll see.
Funny, I expected the price to really go down this morning based on the annual report, so I sold about a penny lower than I needed to early on. Hate it when that happens....

Nighthawk Systems Receives Larger Order from El Paso Electric
Tuesday October 10, 6:45 pm ET
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, announced today that El Paso Electric has placed an additional, larger order for Nighthawk's CEO700 remote power disconnect units, which will operate on the American Messaging wireless network. El Paso Electric has chosen to move forward with their ongoing remote disconnect program utilizing the Nighthawk Systems-American Messaging partnership
Nighthawk's CEO700 gives electric utilities the ability to remotely disconnect and reconnect power to residential electric meters, saving them significant time and money over the traditional manual disconnect method requiring field personnel. Last month, Nighthawk Systems and American Messaging announced they had strengthened their joint marketing agreement to take advantage of their core competencies and provide the best wireless remote control solutions possible to their customers.
"We are focused on providing our customers with the most dependable one-way local and nationwide paging services in the United States," said American Messaging President & COO, Dave Andersen. "El Paso Electric has been utilizing our network for their traditional paging needs for 10 years. We are very happy that El Paso Electric chose to use the same reliable paging network for their remote disconnect program utilizing the Nighthawk CEO700."
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, stated, "El Paso Electric, like most utilities, has identified a growing need to implement a remote connect/disconnect program to better service its customers and to save money. Reliable access to our units was a key factor in continuing to move forward with El Paso Electric. Simply put, customers will not deploy on an ongoing basis if they cannot count on access to our units. This sale is a great example of how we expect team selling with American Messaging to accelerate the rate at which Nighthawk can provide reliable, ongoing solutions to our customers."

Here's a message from Nighthawks CEO regarding the recent press release about the marketing agreement with american messaging.
;D I just want to highlight a few blurbs from his email. >:D
I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly discuss our agreement with
American Messaging that we announced last month. Early in 2006, we announced
that we had signed two agreements with Verizon Wireless – a network reseller
agreement that allowed us to utilize their nationwide paging network, and a
collaborative marketing agreement, which was supposed to give us access to their
nationwide sales staff. We were excited about both, as were our customers and
shareholders. We developed pay per use pricing (PayPerPingTM) based on the
first agreement, and then began training their sales staff to rep our products
to their customers. We expected our sales reach to multiply many times over
through our relationship.
Fairly quickly, we realized that things were not moving as quickly as we wanted
them to. Verizon was not giving their reps any incentives to sell Nighthawk
equipment, and then we heard that Verizon might be selling the paging
business/network to someone. That made sense, as things with Verizon had
basically ground to a halt. We found out fairly quickly that they were selling
it to American Messaging, and through Nighthawk's GM Rex Lee we knew both the
CEO and President of American Messaging. So we contacted them, and they told us
that we had to be quiet and wait for the deal to go through. Once the deal went
through ( see http://www.americanmessaging.net/paging/news.asp ), we immediately
flew to Dallas and started working with them to resume activity and even
strengthen the relationship. American Messaging had agreed to only limited use
of the Verizon Wireless logo, and during this time we actually removed Verizon
Wireless as a partner from our website for a while. Several of you contacted me
about this, but I was not able to comment on it at that time.
In mid-September, we issued a joint announcement concerning the new
relationship (see
http://nighthawksystems.com/pdf/AmericanMessagingandNighthawkSystemsStrengthenJointMarketingAgreement.pdf
) The great news is that we have a stronger deal now with a company that is
more focused on providing value added services to its existing customers by
selling Nighthawk products. Their network is bigger than the original Verizon
Wireless network, and they have more sales people. Best of all, there are real
economics behind the deal now – American Messaging sale reps are incentivized to
rep Nighthawk products. The release from earlier this week about our sale to El
Paso Electric is a great example of how Nighthawk can benefit from team selling
to customers along with American Messaging. It took longer than I wanted it to,
but I believe we're now in a relationship that is stronger than the one we
thought we had at the beginning of the year. American Messaging has existing
customers that are in our target markets, and we are focusing on team selling to
those customers. We've already been to two trade shows with them and are going
to an Oil & Gas show with them soon. They extend our reach and ability to get
in front of customers that need our products.
I hope this provides some helpful background information to you. Have a great
weekend!

Nighthawk Systems Receives Order From Largest U.S. Wireless Provider
Tuesday December 19, 7:00 am ET
Product Enables Carrier to Control Generators at Cell Sites in Accordance With Air Quality Regulations
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, announced today that it has received an initial order for hundreds of its PT1000 remote control boards from one of the largest U.S. wireless voice and data companies. The customer, with whom Nighthawk has had a previous relationship, will use the PT1000s to comply with rules recently adopted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection that restrict the use of diesel generators on days when the air quality in New Jersey is deemed to be at unhealthy or hazardous levels. Utilizing custom firmware developed by Nighthawk specifically for the project, the customer can ensure that diesel generators at their cell tower sites in Northern New Jersey are not tested or exercised on days when such use is prohibited.
Diesel generators must be exercised regularly to ensure that they are in working order when emergencies occur. Historically, pre-set timers have been used to automatically run generators on scheduled days. The new regulations in New Jersey restrict diesel generators of 37kW or greater from being used in non-emergency situations to ensure that New Jersey's air quality does not get worse on days with unhealthy air. Therefore, diesel generator operators must find a way to exercise the generators on allowed days, even though they cannot predict those days ahead of time.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, stated, "Remote control of diesel generators represents a huge opportunity for Nighthawk. There is strong support for similar legislation throughout the United States, and this customer has additional locations in New Jersey which must be controlled. We look forward to the opportunity to continue working with this customer, as well as others that may be faced with the same needs, as there are thousands of diesel generators in use around the country. All operators of diesel generators will need to consider how they will control those generators going forward. Nighthawk Systems has a long, proven track record of providing reliable remote power control products that fit this application."
Mr. Saathoff continued, "I'm extremely pleased to receive this order, which highlights the strengths of our Company and products. By quickly customizing our firmware for this project, we give our customer the ability to control their diesel generators remotely, from centralized locations and in specified groups, without visiting the individual cell tower sites. We're helping our customer comply with environmentally friendly legislation without negatively affecting their operations."

A thing to note about the press release is that it does not mention who the wireless provider is..........Although, it's fairly obvious that whom they're referring to is Verizon Wireless. They're the only large wireless carrier that NIHK has done business with in the past.
I read an article from the otc journal. Very interesting.
For those who need a quick refresher- NIHK makes systems that turns stuff on and off remotely. It is done wirelessly through the same technology that operates pagers. Their main focus has been on the utility market, where utilities use their technology to remotely turn meters on and off. They have also made inroads in emergency services, where first responders need to be able to turn emergency warnings on and off remotely.
In early 2006 this stock went nuts when the company announced a marketing agreement with Verizon Wireless. The stock ran from $.03 to $.16 (433% return) in a couple of months.
Alas, no business materialized out of the Verizon relationship, and the stock completed a 180 reverse course over the summer. We subsequently learned Verizon sold its pager network to American Messaging. Hence, the lack of progress.
The American Messaging relationship created some early business in the utility space, but the last couple of months have been bone dry on corporate events. I have a price target on the stock of $.10, and an SSL of $.03. At yesterday's close the stock was trading just below $.04. Above the SSL, but not too exciting. About where we started the second time around.
Although unnamed in today's press release, it seems Verizon Wireless is back. This time as a customer. I wasn't aware of the following, but since learning about this sale I now understand. Did you know that most cell towers are powered by standard electrical connections, but have diesel generators for back up in the event of a power failure?
Just like any engine, a diesel must be started at regular intervals to stay healthy and reliable. Cell tower back up generators are on timers, and they are started at regular intervals. New Jersey doesn't like it. They don't like diesels running on bad air quality days. Since those days are unpredictable, cell tower owners are looking for other solutions.
Enter NIHK. The Hawk just sold hundreds of units to Verizon Wireless (well, likely) that will be used to remotely start and stop the back up diesel generators
The last time we saw volume like this was one year ago...........it took off from .03 to .16. I can't say for sure that that's going to happen again but I know that this stock will run and run hard short term. This can build up a lot of momentum in the coming days so watch out below!!!

I guess we're the lone rangers on this one! The potential of this company is out of this world. Good luck bud, and applause on all your great work for this website.
great analysis guys ! I jumped in around the .14 range thinking it was going to the moon (second time (run) is charms!) and have since wondered when the floundering would subside ..........
from Saathhoff's PR mssg today, he mentions moving toward being a solutions provider should which should "enhance the company's ability to participate in large enterprise sales", provided they can scale up to supply that type of demand. That is where the real growth opportunity will come from here.
elr
Yup, i've been watchign this one too..as im still bagholiding it from early this year..lol. I need around .14 to break even...so go NIHK!!!
I almost bought more today at the .074 break..but..decided against it, just cause i didnt want to buy end of december and well..im just cautious for now.
Anyway..chart looks great! Hope this keeps going for new highs.

Well it feel good to be right but it feels very bad not to have any money to put into a company you know is gonna jump like NIHK has today :'(. I saw the bounce off the 200 dma yesterday and thought it was a perfect buying opportunity and now I miss 60% because I'm fully invested. Do you guys think this will keep going? I think we'll see a slight down day and hten another large white candle... seems like that's the pattern forming recently on these types of pops.
Fly hawk, fly...... ;D
Will be back later with some chart work.

Nighthawk Systems Discusses 2006 Revenue Growth, Focus for 2007
Thursday December 21, 7:00 am ET
Fourth Quarter Revenues Increase More Than 100%
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control and emergency notification products, today discussed revenue growth realized in 2006, and discussed areas of focus for 2007.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, commented, "A sustained sales and marketing effort that began in 2005 continued to produce sales growth from both new and existing customers throughout 2006. Boosted by the large sale to the wireless carrier announced earlier this week, we will close the 2006 year with our strongest quarter of the year, more than double the revenues of the previous year's fourth quarter. Overall, revenues for 2006 will be approximately 70% higher than revenues were for 2005. Revenues throughout the year have come from an almost even mix of orders from new and existing customers, and we will close the year with more and larger opportunities in our pipeline than ever before. The addition of key sales and technical personnel in the last few months has the Company better equipped to provide more complete solutions to larger customers, and generate more revenues. We have a better foundation for growth going into a new year than we've ever had before, and I'm excited about the prospects for a great year in 2007."
Mr. Saathoff continued, "Going into 2007, we have identified many strategic initiatives that we would like to focus on. All of those initiatives are geared toward leveraging the experience of our team as well as existing customer and partner relationships in our markets to further increase sales, produce positive cash flows from operations, and minimize the need for dilutive financing. We'll work with American Messaging, who already serves 98 of the top 100 markets in the United States, to gain direct access to their customers. We recently conducted training sessions with over 100 of their representatives so that they can introduce Nighthawk products to their customers in 2007. They greatly extend our sales and marketing capabilities. Through hardware and software enhancements that are already underway, we will work with existing customers to provide much larger and comprehensive solutions to meet their growing needs for control and automation. Our goal is to be a solutions partner, not just a vendor to our customers. We will seek out opportunities to partner with other manufacturers and service providers to enhance the company's ability to participate in large enterprise sales, and we will continue to extend the recognition of the Company's products and capabilities to new customers by sustaining the sales and marketing programs that have been utilized successfully throughout the current year."

Let's close the gap,
ah,ah,ah.
I think this needs to be watched very closely ESPECIALLY if it can break the 11-12 cent range. We've had trememdous volume the past couple days on the daily chart and the volume on the weekly chart after this week will be outrageous. I can't wait to see what happens in the future.
We're going to hit a long term resistance level soon but I won't be surprised to see nighthawk blow right by it. I'm not saying that's going to happen, but if it does, NIHK is off to the races.
My chart will show the long term resistance and what my possibly be a bullish wolvewave pattern (not an ideal wolvewave pattern but it may play out). The wolvewave target is pretty far off from our current PPS but if it does hit, we'll all be thousandaires woot woot!!
Also, this is a momo play, T3ML baby!!

BUMP!
This one is a winner guys! The only question is when is the big rally coming?? Nice consolidation period over the past couple weeks. Looks due for a runup.
Yes, I agree thai626,
NIHK did nicley today...we could be in a gpattern now as highest vol day occured several days ago, gspot breakout .09, and .097 to clear.

Just tagged .099 c'mon baby lets get into double digits!!!!
Would anyone recommend buying shares at the breakout point (.09) or wait for a possible pullback.
Thanks in advance.
You gotta do what your gut tells you. ;) IMO, NIHK is just taking a break at this point at the 9 cent range. I believe that it will close above this price and with what could possibly the biggest volume day to date.
In the long run, this could be a 4 bagger for sure. But what do I know!
Thai
Well...just crossed over the last recent high made during the previous high vol day. But, closed just below the .09 ::). Chart still looks nice so far, volume was excellent...a new vol record day.
Lots of room left on the RSI. Golden Cross approaching. Looks like just about all the technicals look really good and in the right place for a continuation north.
Looks like this stock is dying to blow out, but hesitating still. When will it break out? Tomorrow, end of the week, next week? Who knows..but, it does look ready to do so in the very near future..just my simple little opinion..just hurry up already !;D
Any other opinions?
thanks and glta

Looks like just a day of rest for our little NIGHTHAWK. >:D
The stock opened and then later tried to close the gap at .071. It wasn't successful as I think the low of they day was .072. Maybe it'll try again tomorrow OR maybe that's close enough to be considered closed and it'll take off soon! Who knows!!! But I still think there is more money to be made in NIHK.
The biggest key of all is for it to close above 9.5 - 10 cents as there is a very big resistance from a few years past. Once we break that, the coast looks beautiful. Good luck all! ;D
This is getting exciting ;)
All I can say is that it's just a matter of time! >:D
G-breakout coming soon to a theatre near you. Good luck!

Houston! We have lift off!!! >:D >:D
nice cup and handle in the 5 day chart as well. Things definitely looks bullish here. I want more!!!!!!
What do you think the next resistance level. Is it 0.12?
Thanks in advance
Hi Tocitygirl,
This is just my opinion but I don't think there is a real resistance level until we get to the 15-16 cent range. We may have a few bumps here and there but if we can close above 10 cent today, I can't ask for more short term. As you can tell by reading this thread, I've been bullish on NIHK.ob for quite a while and I really like what they do. I'm not advising you to buy unless you're willing to handle the volitility of penny stocks.
This one has a lot of potential to run in my opinion. I won't be surprised either if there is news released in the coming days. Good luck!
it closed at 0.105.
Taking a longer term view of things, (i.e. on the 3 year weekly semi-log chart) NIHK looks to have broken through key descending resistance on the log weekly chart today (as well as breaking into double digits). Volume in the last few weeks has far outstripped anything in its history, and todays volume suggests we will see another big week.
I put upside resistance levels at .11, .13 and .16. Beyond that, also .19 and .24. But right now, I'm not too fussed. NIHK are coming out with a lot of positive PR and are not doing the kind of pump job that scares the bejeebus out of me like they are over at NMKT.
I'd be happy to take profits on a double at .16, but this could also be the beginning of a much strongewr run during 2007. Just hold on to your hats!!
;D
NIHK has been pulling back this week after its big push on Tuesday. Looks to me like a flag forming. NIHK tagged .085 yesterday which looks to be solid support, and also the 13ema, which has caught up to the price action.
As always, we are looking for that clear breakout of .10 to get the next leg up on the go. Don't want to see it close below .085 though, as it could easily pull all the way back to .06.
David did make an interesting (although brief) fundamental analysis of the stock yesterday. NIHK management are saying that they anticipate a 70% revenue increase over '05, which would give them an estimated $900k in revs for 06. With their current 30% gross profit margin, that would give them about $270k in gross profit for 06. Compare that with the $2M they spent running the company in 05, and its obvious they are way off the mark of becoming a profitable company (and that doesn't even take into account interest expenses of $900k - which seems huge considering Yahoo says they only have $3.22M of debt). So I don't know, There's no doubt they are growing the company, and they are also getting new customers which is nice. But whether they justify an estimated forward P/S ratio of 7.77.
If their administrative costs remained constant at $2M (unlikely, but possible) and they continued to grow sales at 70% per year (also unlikely), and given a 30% gross margin, I calculate it would take them 4 years in order to break even, and that is not including costs associated with servicing their debt. They are going to have to seriously expand their business or cut costs to move toward profitability.
Anyway, I'm not too sure about this trade anymore, so for now, I'll bear all this in mind and play by the technicals. If we get a break of .10 next week, I'll be happy and aim to take 30-50% profit. If it breaks below .085 (my cost average is .086) I'll sell. Seems a reasonable risk:reward.
Hey thai
News today. More contracts. What are you thoughts on Nihk? Thanks is advance
Here we go boys and girls!! ;D
Can't wait for the breakout above .10. Money ;D Money ;D Money ;D
Chart looks great as long as we can break above the long term resistance level for the past 2 years. (chart shows a shorter tem chart)
Unfortunately, the last breakout above 10 cents was very short lived so you can say that it could've been a bull trap. Let's see what happens this time around!
Oh yeah, I think NIHK finally breaks that downward resistance this time around. Time for nighthawk to fly. 8)
BAM!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
great call guys!!! NIHK on fire again today!!!! Currently up 24%. Looks like there could be resistance at .16 though (picked some up on Fri at 11.90, so all happy)
Hey Scottish, I have noticed that after stocks break a long downtrend, they usually keep going. The resistance doesn't usally last long. ;)
Still moving on up. ;D
Key resistance is .16..........Maybe we'll see that tomorrow?? >:D Otherwise, it's next week for sure!!!
Once .16 is broken, on our way to new territory......hint hint..it starts with .2x
I found this email posted on another message board from Nighthawk CEO
Good morning! The following press release went out this morning and announces the sale of our CEO700 units to Beltrami Electric Cooperative of Minnesota. This is the first order from Beltrami, who tested our units in 2006, liked how they performed, and decided to place this order. This order was also facilitated by one of our sales reps, RESCO, and I'm always pleased when a sale is brought to us by a rep. Customers like Beltrami have not yet seen the web-enabled interface that I discussed publicly in the press release last week. It is our goal to get this out sometime during this second quarter to our customers like Beltrami, and I believe this will set the stage for additional orders from our existing customers down the road....
Also, I know that some of you have been looking for the release of our 2006 results (I've already commented that revenues were up 70% year over year). On Monday of this week, we filed for an extension from the SEC, allowing us to file those results on or before April 16th. This extension was required because our auditors need some extra time to complete their work – it is not any indication of any problems, and we expect to file our 10-KSB within the time permitted by the extension.
Have a great day!
Doug
hey thai,
NIHK is looking real good. I got some just below .12 the other day, sold hald after it hit ..16, but then me and my weak hands cleared out the rest of my holding when it came back down to the .12 range. Silly silly!!! I always seem to be selling when I should be buying!! I have to work on this reverse psychology thing.... whatever you are feeling, do the opposite, i.e., trade against your emotions, it could be an interesting experiment!!
Anywy, I picked up some yesterday at .15 again, I really like the the candle pattern right now, it made a solid retrace this week and looks to be ready to push to new highs. .16 is obviously key, but if it breaks above here, I think we'll see a slew of new buyers come in!
Yup Yup!! Very promising for NIHK short term. With the numbers expected to come out soon, I'd expect NIHK to tear through .16 like cake and then some. As for me, I'll probably take some off the table in the .2x area ;D ;D
Good luck!

Awesome chart.

QuoteI wonder if I'm too late to join the party?
Nope, just keep an eye on it intraday. The daily chart looks great, but intraday gives a little more flavour. Yesterday we got a breakout from an ascending triangle that should pu .21 IN PLAY. It broke out on big volume, and then pulled back at the end of the day. I think that any purchase between .18 and .19 should set you up quite nicely. I added more yesterday at .185 and think we should see .20+ this week.
Good call ScottishTrader! Applause!
I unloaded half my shares at .22 this morning. Looking to getting rid of the rest at .23. Can't let myself get greedy and lose on potential profit.
If my sell order at .23 does get hit, I'll be looking to buy back around .20 range.
To be honest, I didn't think it would hit .24 today..................I was expecting some bigger resistance at .225 than I saw this morning. Good luck!
;D
In @ .19 today. GLTA.
Cheers,
Gap filled! ;) I got back my shares I bought sold this morning! Hopefully it will continue back up again! Either way, I think this one is a keeper for the long term if you like holding solid companies.

That's me! (Hi all, first post here...)
I got in on NIHK last spring after playing around in several others on this board. Started at about $.12, and bought all the way down. Then bought a bunch at $.034 in September for a total of 250k shares. (Oh how I wish I'd bought more. ::) ) Been holding ever since. Only the first 90k are long term gains at this point. I keep considering cashing in, but really think that this is a product that has potential. (I know, don't fall in love with the company.) I've got a trailing sell order just in case, but I can't watch during the day, so can't comfortably flip nickels.
I'm just happy to see volumes where I could actually sell if I needed to. There were plenty of days of just a few thousand share trading hands. Hard to sell big chunks in those conditions for favorable gains.
I sure have been enjoying these last couple of weeks!
Steve
Sold half at .23 and looking to just get rid of my other half at .23. :)
I'm taking a risk here but atleast it's a profit they can't take away from me. ;D I just think there will be some consolidation around this area before an even bigger run up. I'll be looking to get back in as usual at a lower price if possible. Hopefully, I won't end up missing the shuttle to the moon!
Update: All shares sold at this point at .23
Will buy back cheaper hopefully!
K....I bought back some of my shares at .195 >:D >:D You can go back up now!! ;D
Anyone have any comment on the stock price going down today? Thanks in advance
Not a surprise if you ask me >:D
Every run up must have a period of profit taking. Just looks like a pause until the earnings release comes out. This is JMO.
Like I said in my earlier posts, I was expecting .235 to be a big resistance and now it looks like that is turning out true. Don't worry.....anyday now we'll be above the nasty .265 resistance. haha (Hopefully things will turn out that way)
in at .175$ :o
just FYI, (not invested anymore):
Nighthawk Systems Releases Fiscal 2006 Results
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 07:00ET
SAN ANTONIO, Apr 18, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, announced today that revenues for 2006 were $899,175 as compared to $589,689 in 2005, a 70% increase between years. Gross profit more than doubled between years and gross margins increased from 30% to 40% between years as the increase in products sold between years led to better production efficiencies. The net loss between years increased from ($2.7) million in 2005 to ($3.7) million in 2006 due to increased expenses for consulting and public relations activities, as well as interest expense associated with the Company's debt. The net loss per share improved from ($0.07) per share in 2005 to ($0.05) per share in 2006.
The increase in revenues between years was attributed to a sustained sales and marketing effort that began in 2005 and was enhanced in 2006 with the addition of new sales and marketing staff. Sales to both new and existing customers contributed significantly to revenues during fiscal 2006, with sales to new customers accounting for approximately 60% of total revenues for 2006.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO, commented, "I'm extremely pleased with the steady growth and progress made throughout 2006. Sustained sales and marketing efforts decreased our historical dependence on a few customers as we added many new electrical utilities to our customer base and began to uncover new, industrial applications for our products. This incremental growth and the resultant exposure of the Company and its products has led to a handful of larger opportunities that we hope to capitalize on in 2007. We made important additions to our team in the latter stages of 2006 to help with these opportunities, and have recently announced the development of new Web-enabled services that should assist us with those opportunities this year."
Mr. Saathoff also added, "I'm also pleased that the growth in revenues is starting to filter down to better operating results as well. By selling more products into more industrial applications, we were able to increase our gross margins significantly. I think it is important to note that payroll and payroll-related expenses actually decreased from 2005 to 2006, yet I feel we're a more capable team today than ever before. We're off to a good start so far in 2007, and I look forward to continuing the trends that we started in 2006."
WAYYY OVERSOLD!! :o :o
I'm going to try to pick up more shares today.........Wish me luck. >:D >:D
Hey Thai,
Did you get your shares today? Some people are saying this will go back to 0.09 level. How low do you think this one will go? Thanks in advance
This is JMO, but I don't think it will go thaaattt low. Maybe 12 cents to close the very first gap. It's just very hard to say because it had 3 horrible days in a row.
BTW......I did get my shares at .135.
Good luck!

Hey thai,
Do you think we will see 0.25 in couple of days? Thanks in advance
LOL :D :D Anything is possible but don't count on it. ;D ;D
Bare in mind that this is still a penny so don't go throwing all your apples in one basket. Too me, there's just been too many positve releases to let this one go just yet. Good luck!

Nighthawk Systems Provides Guidance on First Quarter 2007 Results and Recent Growth Trends
Thursday April 26, 7:00 am ET
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, today discussed financial results expected to be included in the filing next month of its Form 10-QSB for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Growth experienced in the latter stages of 2006 continued as the Company received orders in excess of $300,000 during the first quarter of 2007. As a result, the Company expects to report an increase in revenues over the first quarter of 2006 of approximately 49%.
These improved results were largely driven by increased sales of custom logic boards for industrial applications to tier-one customers such as Verizon Wireless, as well as an increase in sales to electric utilities. The steady increase in sales of Nighthawk units throughout 2006 and into 2007 also resulted in an increase in recurring revenues from airtime sales of approximately 75% from the first quarter of 2006 to the first quarter of 2007, and enhanced gross profit margins as well.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO commented, "We're very pleased that 2007 has gotten off to a great start. I'm extremely pleased with the number of new customers that we're bringing into the fold, and that exposure of our success is opening doors to new, more customized applications with some well known companies. These more specialized sales, combined with the incremental growth in sales of our traditional plug and play products, have not only added top line revenue growth for the Company, they've enhanced the profit margins and cash flows produced by the Company as well. We haven't sacrificed margins to achieve this steady growth we've experienced."

Nighthawk Systems Receives Largest Initial Order from Electric Utility
Thursday May 31, 8:30 am ET
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, announced today that it has received the largest initial order in Company history for CEO700 whole house disconnect units from the Town of Smyrna, Delaware. Smyrna has ordered 300 units in order to decrease the time and expense associated with frequent connects and disconnects at transient housing locations such as apartments. The sale was made with the assistance of Rumsey Electric, one of the nation's leading electrical wholesalers.
The CEO700 gives electric utilities the ability to remotely connect and disconnect power to residential electric meters on a moment's notice, improving customer service response times and saving the utilities significant time and money compared to the traditional manual method that requires truck rolls and field personnel.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's Chief Executive Officer, commented, "I'm extremely pleased to receive this order from the Smyrna. Smyrna is a forward-thinking municipal utility and exemplifies the changing regulatory environment in the electric utility sector. In an effort to both increase customer service response times and decrease costs associated with power connects and disconnects, the city is enacting regulations requiring developers of multi-tenant facilities to install remote connect/disconnect units on new facilities. I'm also very pleased with the continued growth of our distributor/reseller network, which has begun to pay dividends in the form of new and more frequent sales of our products."

Nighthawk Systems Provides Guidance on Second Quarter 2007 Results
Friday July 13, 4:01 pm ET
-- Largest Revenue Quarter in Four Years --
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, today discussed financial results expected to be included in the filing next month of its Form 10-QSB for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. Boosted by strong sales to electric utility customers, the Company expects to report its highest quarterly revenue results in four years, with revenues increasing more than 50% over the first quarter of 2007 and approximately 35% over the same quarter in 2006.
These improved results were largely driven by increased sales and shipments of Nighthawk's CEO700 whole house disconnect units to electric utility customers, which reached an all-time high for a fiscal quarter. More than 75% of revenues for the quarter were generated by sales to electric utility customers. The Company's CEO700 allows electric utilities to connect and disconnect power to a customer by sending a wireless message to the meter-based unit, thereby avoiding the time and expense historically associated with dispatching a truck and personnel to the site to manually perform the task.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's CEO commented, "I'm very, very pleased with the revenue results from the second quarter of this year, and very encouraged by the size and frequency of the orders that we are receiving from the electric utility market. The high costs associated with manual connect and disconnect methods is not going away, and cannot be ignored as utilities seek ways to cut costs without sacrificing levels of service to their customers. I'm optimistic about the near term opportunities that we can generate with the introduction of our hosted software solution that will make it even easier for our customers to manage and utilize their Nighthawk devices. We have built a solid track record with the CEO700, and I believe that planned enhancements to the product, combined with the hosted software interface, will even more firmly establish Nighthawk Systems as the wireless solutions provider of choice for utility automation needs."

Nighthawk Systems Announces Purchase of IPTV Assets/Technology
Monday October 15, 7:00 am ET
Production of Set-Top Boxes to Enhance Revenues and Cash Flows
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK - News), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, announced today that it has purchased the IPTV set-top box business assets of Eagle Broadband (OTCBB: EAGB - News). The purchase is expected to significantly bolster revenues and cash flows at Nighthawk based on existing purchase orders for high-definition MediaPro IP3000HD set-top boxes with a leading hospitality solutions provider. Under terms of the purchase, Nighthawk assumes responsibility for production on a contract under which the customer has forecasted purchases that could generate in excess of $6 million in revenues to Nighthawk over a period of just over one year.
As disclosed in Nighthawk's Form 8-k filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last Friday, the assets were purchased for $4.75 million. The transaction was facilitated by a $6 million sale of unregistered Series B Convertible Preferred Stock and Warrants to Dutchess Private Equities Fund, Ltd. Under terms of the sale, the Preferred Stock is not convertible for a period of one year, and is redeemable solely at Nighthawk's option.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's Chief Executive Officer, commented, "This is a huge event for Nighthawk Systems. This funding and subsequent acquisition of the set-top box business present Nighthawk with an incredible opportunity to take a quick and large step forward in creating additional value in the Company. Here are some of the near-term benefits that I expect to realize from this transaction:
Strengthening of our balance sheet through the investment of $6 million and the purchase of the assets. The investment in Nighthawk will result in a return to a positive net equity position for the Company, enhancing our ability to attract larger customers and larger contracts for both traditional Nighthawk control products and set-top boxes.
Enhanced revenues and cash flows from orders that already exist for the set-top box products, as well as future orders that we expect to receive. Nighthawk receives existing purchase orders that, when completed, will produce revenues in excess of $400,000. Additional orders are also expected, which will supplement Nighthawk's existing, growing revenue base for control products.
Lower costs due to higher production volumes. All Nighthawk products, including set-top boxes, utilize printed circuit boards. Higher volume production runs should lead to lower per unit costs.
Integration of IP-based technology into Nighthawk's traditional, wireless control products. We acquire an experienced team of hardware and software engineers as part of this transaction.
Opportunities to sell traditional Nighthawk products into set-top box markets. Set-top boxes are endpoint devices on complex networks that often require the integration of rebooting or power control solutions.
To summarize, I believe that the acquisition of industry-leading technology and existing revenue-generating opportunities, financed by the sale of unregistered equity securities, provides Nighthawk with a significant near-term opportunity to enhance the value of the Company. I believe this acquisition will provide operational and financial synergies for a long time to come."

thanks SETRAVIS, I have been a member a long time on this site but just recently decided to contribute, thanks for the rating. I find that I love writing and researching the stocks I believe have tons of potential. And here is a little post to get the lazy investors in the know about this company which should not be trading remotely close to these levels:
NIHK released this statement back in July before the Quarterly:
Nighthawk Systems Inc. Comments On Q2 2007 Revenue Guidance
July 13, 2007
Nighthawk Systems Inc. announced that it expects second quarter 2007 revenues increasing more than 50% over the first quarter and approximately 35% over the same quarter in 2006. These improved results were largely driven by increased sales and shipments of the Company's CEO700 whole house disconnect units to electric utility customers, which reached an all-time high for a fiscal quarter.
and the results of their previous quarterly in which they predicted 35% increase:
Revenues for the three-month period ended June 30, 2007 were $339,684 as compared to $252,139 for the prior year, an increase of 35% between periods.
This company knows how to project earnings. Have faith in them to know what they're doing in execution.

If you can also track the markets reaction to these million dollar contracts, the price barely budged because nobody was looking. You would never get the prices today if this stock was on the radar, which it now is :)
Ended very strong. Should carry on into todays session. You need to buy if the move is bullish because this is easily hitting .15 cents with the right momentum. its currently being watch by a ton of people its seems because of the high volumes as of late. GL
News - New set-top acquisition already pays off almost $1 million. That is great new for the company that is highly undervalued even more now!!!
It was rough 10 cents before the new set-top box buy-out which currently it has generated an extra $900,000 already and no it still sits at 10 cents. Can anyone say price manipulation. Heres what I gather from the trading behavior. The MM's are not through purchasing along with the other big boys because there seems to be heavy accumulation indicated by the MACD and their sneaking in slowly but also making sure they don't put the price up on themselves in which they shake the stock up a bit by placing sell pressures with the bid and ask. When they are done, this stock will surely double.
NIHK : Might be ready for bottom bounce play : JMO
If this stock bounces it should be anytime.JMO
I do have a position and now playing the waiting game for bounce. Any kind of good news should push this up and volume increase will tell the story when it happens. I'll be watching it close in case it should turn south.
Goodluck trading
Nighthawk May Be Spreading Its Wings Soon...
Is one of those micro-cap stocks that can move up very quickly on light volume and fall very quickly on heavy volume.
Such was the case after the company addressed its record revenues and enhanced margins during 2008 and painted a powerful story for growth for 2009 and beyond.
Heading into the news, NIHK sold for $.02...
That $.02 mark is key. The stock hadn't budged from it since March 2, suggesting that $.02 might be a bottom and that falling below it would not be a good sign.
However, if investors take what Nighthawk Systems CEO H. Douglas Saathoff said to heart, the stock could gain momentum in a short period of time. A year ago in May, shares sold for .08.
That's all contingent upon Nighthawk delivering on its promises of a growing customer base, new products and better sales channels leading to growth in the second half of 2009.
Saathoff pointed to new relationships as the reason the company should be able to supplement existing order flow for set top boxes in the latter half of 2009.
With government spending for smart grid devices on the rise, demand should lead to growth in sales of power control devices in the latter part of 2009.
I know those are a lot of shoulds, ifs and buts. Until the numbers can speak for themselves, this stock is risky but promising. If you want to take a shot and hop in at what might be the bottom, go for it.
