I feel it is time to attack some momentum driven penny stocks, like ADVC.OB, which was up 100% yesterday on 597 million shares traded.
This penny stock has a market cap of just $5.4M and expects revenues to hit $10M plus in fiscal 2006.
«Lisa Welton, president of Cyber-Test, said, "Our fiscal year-to-date sales are already in excess of $5.3 million." Welton explained, "We generated $900,000 in sales last month, making January by far our most successful revenue-producing month in the company's history. Our business is increasing, a result of the value that technology products have in the daily lives of our customers, and their need to protect the investment they have made in these products. Moreover, improvements to our processes and procurement of new and used parts have reduced our operating costs, and increased our margins."»
I think their sector is attractive, with so much new and sometimes expensive technology we sure need a company doing this:
«Advanced Communications Technologies is a New York-based public holding company specializing in the technology aftermarket service and supply chain, known as reverse logistics. Its wholly-owned subsidiary and principal operating unit, Encompass Group Affiliates, Inc. acquires and operates businesses that provide computer and electronics repair and end-of-lifecycle services and provides asset distribution and recovery services. Encompass owns Cyber-Test, Inc., an electronic equipment repair company based in Florida that provides board-level repair of technical products to third-party warranty companies, OEMs, national retailers and national office equipment dealers. Service options include advance exchange, depot repair, call center support, parts and warranty management for office equipment, fax machines, printers, scanners, laptop computers, monitors and multi-function units, including high-end consumer electronics such as PDAs and digital cameras. For more information, visit http://www.advancedcomtech.net, or Cyber-Test's website at http://www.equipfix.com.»
The stock was up 100% on the news, I think it can rise an additional 50% or more going forward.
I'll buy $1,200 of it for the pennies on fire portfolio at today's open. If I have the chance to sell it 50% higher today, I'll take profits (I sure need them to build some confidence). If not, I'll continue holding.
Advanced Communications Expects Revenue to Hit a Record $10 Million for Fiscal 2006; Subsidiary Cyber-Test Reports Exceptionally High Revenue of $900,000 for January
Thursday , February 23, 2006 08:30 ET
NEW YORK, Feb 23, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advanced Communications Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ADVC), a New York-based holding company that specializes in the technology aftermarket service and supply chain known as reverse logistics, announced today that its wholly-owned operating unit, Encompass Group Affiliates, Inc., expects to generate $10 million in revenue for fiscal 2006, a 33% increase as compared with $7,522,000 for fiscal 2005.
Encompass' subsidiary Cyber-Test, a Florida-based electronic equipment repair company, is a significant contributor to the substantial revenue projections, with one record breaking month after another over the company's past fiscal year including January, it's highest sales month yet. Cyber-Test reported $900,000 in revenue for January, compared with $676,000 for the same month in 2005, or a 33% increase. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the month was an impressive $101,000 or 11% of sales, compared to EBITDA of $42,000 or 6% of sales in January 2005.
Wayne Danson, president and chief executive officer of Advanced Communications, said, "We are having a very full and productive year with expectations of $10 million in revenue for fiscal 2006. Cyber-Test generated $900,000 in sales last month and continues to show enormous growth potential. Its management team continuously demonstrates its ability to adapt to the ever changing consumer and office electronic technologies without sacrificing its reputation for professionalism and service excellence, a key element in our business strategy." Danson added, "As we previously shared, we have been working on various transactions that will significantly expand our business and we will disclose all details once we are permitted under SEC regulations."
Lisa Welton, president of Cyber-Test, said, "Our fiscal year-to-date sales are already in excess of $5.3 million." Welton explained, "We generated $900,000 in sales last month, making January by far our most successful revenue-producing month in the company's history. Our business is increasing, a result of the value that technology products have in the daily lives of our customers, and their need to protect the investment they have made in these products. Moreover, improvements to our processes and procurement of new and used parts have reduced our operating costs, and increased our margins."
Cyber-Test was recently awarded an exclusive national reverse logistics contract with Sling Media, Inc. (www.slingmedia.com), which the company announced earlier this month.
Thursday's volume was the highest on record for ADVC.OB. I expect that to have some continuation, even though the stock declined 19% on Friday.
According to the press release (http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/newsarticle.asp?siteid=mktw&sid=153408&guid=%7BDE9160BC%2D06D6%2D41DC%2D9C35%2D7EE2F99E2D4A%7D&symb=), fundamentals seem to be improving like never before at the company. If there's any validity to Thursday's press release, the stock should jump another 100% at the minimum.
We'll see, in the meantime, I'll continue holding ADVC.OB.

You're right Terlisa, outstanding shares are 3.37B, so the market cap is 3.37B*$0.0014 = $4.72M, which is quite low.
Another two similar trading penny stocks, which are IVOC and ADOT, rose a lot yesterday, so perhaps ADVC will make a similar move today.
The company expects 2006 revenues at $10M.
If I have the chance to sell it 50% higher than my buying price which was $0.0018, I'll do it.

Well - Ameritrade is not letting me sell this. I have to find out what is going on.
Hope it will keep going up.
I have recently set up an account on IZONE where they charge only $5.00 so I can't call anyone. I have to wait for email response. Plus it seems I have to have $25,000 in equity to buy and sell on the same day! I guess you learn something everyday.

That's not good Lalitha... I'm out @ ADVC gain -- over 100% ;)
hey Lalitha - Izone is my broker too. I pay $3 a trade plus a $50 per year maintenance fee. It's a better deal for me. To get that price you have to email them about it.
The $25k rule is a standard rule at all brokers I think. It takes 3 days for a trade to settle so you can't use the cash from a stock sale for 3 days.
I bought ADVC at .0022 and am holding for a home run. It's already been a home run for some, like Terlisa. I would like for it to have closed in the .003's. Maybe tomorrow. I hope it's got a few days of upside left in it.
I sold mine at $0.0027 for a 50% profit, as planned :D
Nice 7% plus jump on the Pennies Portfolio today :)
Good luck for anyone that continues holding the stock.
I have to amend my last post. I sold at .0027. I entered the order a minute before the close when the bid/ask was 0026 x 0028. I figured it had expired but it filled a minute after the bell. Weird. .0027 was $500 profit and I figured a bird in the hand was worth two in the bush with my buy-in price being so high. Hopefully I won't miss a 20-bagger on this one. Looks like David is out too so if it runs to a penny he and I can commisserate about it.
Outstanding pick David,
I will sell on the gap in the morning. In at .017 with a million shares. Love it.
Thanks for the Info Lucas.
Hopefully this will at least have some gain for me when I can finally sell. I got in at .02

QuoteThe $25k rule is a standard rule at all brokers I think. It takes 3 days for a trade to settle so you can't use the cash from a stock sale for 3 days.
That is the most stupid rule I've ever seen in the American markets. This thing doesn't look like America to me ???
It's not because of the 3 days it takes to settle the money, it is because of SEC regulation and what is called a «Pattern Day Trader». You can't make more than 4 day trades over a 5 days period or you'll be classified as a Pattern Day Trader, and you'll need to have $25,000 in your account to proceed, something like that.
You can read more info here: http://personal.fidelity.com/products/stocksbonds/content/margin7.shtml
They assume day trading is more risky than position trading, which is false in my opinion. The problem isn't day trading. The problem is excessive leverage for people trading on margin.
Anyway, this looks much more like a Portuguese rule than American hahaha
Fortunately that stupid rule doesn't exist for futures traders, or what would I be with more than 10 trades a day, on average? ;D
Excellent pick! Thank you David.
Bought 24/02/2006 in average @ $0.00145.
Sold yesterday with a huge (for me) profit @ 0.0026 (in avrg).
79% - :o ;D
Does anybody think, that now (i.e. @ 0.2) is a good time for re-entry?
Or it was a trade that cannot be repeated ? ;)
Hi
I am still holding too and thinking if I shoud add more.
I did get in at .002 and now it's there again and looking strong.
It turned the reason I couldn't sell was because I was trying to sell more shares than I have - I added an extra zero and didn't notice it!
I also don't understand the $25K rule if I am playing with my own cash and not on margin. That doesn't make any sense.

From my experience you can't repeat a trade like this in the same stock, not for a long time.
If we go back to my initial post, I considered the stock had $0.0018*$3.37B = $6M in market cap and expected $10M in revenues for the entire 2006. Usually I find a sales multiple below 1 as attractive and a sales multiple of 1 as fair.
This is why I thought of getting out with a 50% profit. At $0.0027, the market cap was $9.1M (perhaps I should have considered $0.0028 or $0.0029 to sell).
At $0.0032, which was the high, market cap was $0.0032*3.37B = $10.78M, and there the stock was fully valued (price to sales ratio of 1), so it came down.
I feel it can trade around $0.0020 for some time, but I don't think it will go higher than $0.0032 for the short/medium term (unless there's more new positive information). The risk is if the company sold shares to investors during this bull run (it always did that in the past, that explains the 3.37 billion shares outstanding), the stock price can come back to $0.0005 but now with a much larger market cap.
Anyway, I can be wrong, good luck :)
I'm out today at .0022............Good fortune if ur still in.
