G - lets start today off with another oldy and hopefully goody.  BRVO up ~10% on increased sales. Do you think this stock could ever regain investor confidence?

Hi G
Hope you see this on fiday AM...  Tall white candle, how much is too much, you like it on NTCS at 6% but not on PPHM at 16%...  Will you be adding to the NTCS position that you said you started on monday at 11.71? (buying in AM at market open on your last post???)

Thoughts on AOB and FTGX...

Thanx for the HOM advice i got out averaging 6.96 or so with a stop limit order on the last batch... very mixed reaction to earings after hours... down to 6.2 and rebounded to 6.75... i am hoping to buy baCK under 6 before the hurricanes begin     cheers Joe

Good morning G,

I have perhaps a beginner question.

As you know, BRCD is in my list to purchase. My trigger buy point is 6.61-6.65.

This morning the stock passed through it with a gap with over 4 mil in volume.

I am a little afraid of gaps because they tend to fill with the general market retraces, or that this could be a fake breakout.

Do you suggest to wait a little more or jump in now? Thanks a lot for your help.

rafael
ps.What do you mean by "Profit taking in Friday", should we exit positions? ???

Hello G,

New on the board.  Been sitting on VRDM for a while and not sure it has what it claims anymore.  Waste management becomes plain waste.  >:( Thoughts? Same with PWRM.  Started to move on news about new detection products and froze.  Thx.

Hey G. Same question as yesterday, but a follow up ;). You said you would wait and see about the sma200. VWPT is flirting with it now with decent volume to start the day. If it closes past the 200ma what do you think then? Thanks!!

As they were both on my scan yesterday, NVAX and GBN,  I was considering them for the portfolio but they did not qualify.  I wasn't happy with GBN's financials and NVAX seemed like a gapping stock that would stall on Friday's weakness.  (yes the 3sof team can see into the future :D)

for NSTC we bought our position for the 3SOF portfolio(3/27) and we do not add because we keep the portfolio to 6.66% per position basis.  I think NSTC still has room to grow but buying any tall white is tough.  For PPHM I dont have a great fundamental story backing me up like on NSTC.

AOB - not ready to move yet.. needs to show support here at 5

FTGX - volume has been decreasing on this pattern, makes me very unsure although it looks like it wants higher with nice support at its 20ema

glad you got out of HOM  ;D.. even with what sounds like great earnings the stock was beaten down.. I've seen that happen many times.. the market is always right.

SVA - just basing... i see nothing interesting here so far.. volume is relatively low compared to Oct/Nov levels.. might be a lot of bagholders.

BRCD - looking at my 5-min charts the stock did not gap through your buy zone... it opened at 6.53  ;).. I think its tough to buy this one on a Friday.. I would wait for 6.74 to buy.. this would be a break of todays high.. this would prove to you it has momentum today.

Profit taking Friday.. just means that if you have any positions that gained a lot during the week or specifically today.. look for traders to cash out  ;)

VRDM - ugly chart.. heavy volume yesterday is interesting but right no a lot of pressure down from the collapsing mvg avgs

VWPT - good follow up  8).. pretty breakout.. with volume.. got to like it and the only bad note is that its a Friday so any gains may see pressure.. but looks great.. thx for the heads up  8)  watch VWPT

UPDA - perhaps if it can cross .211 with crazy high volume.. but this stock still looks ugly to me.. heavy downtrend.

AVNX - nice lil pop.. low volume but thats ok on a Friday.. its not showing weakness but there may be tough resistance in this zone.  AVNX seems to have good support close by so even if the market turns down you should be safe.  ;)

SVVS - looks very nice.. almost picked it up yesterday.. I would wait for end of day today to make a final judgement on entering but it looks great.

LNUX - nice move..  volume will get there today and anyway LNUX wants $5 and over. thx for the heads up  ;)

I am reluctant to short this after such a fast drop, because it has a history of bouncing significantly after each drop --

IRBL - Hmm they had a press release on their earnings.. I cant get a mkt cap so I dont know how that revenue ranks up.. they only made $100,000 in 2005 but they are growing..  I like that they support the IDF(Israeli Defense Forces).. might be playable on this lil breakout.. 200 is providing resistance but like VWPT could pop right through.  Keep a tight stop.  thx for the heads up  ;)

I would check its intra-day charts.. 25 seems good.. but this collapse feels solid good chance it will continue.

Clear break of the downtrend on HDTV yesterday, and holding up today on nice volume. I bought in on the run last night at 3.30. News of ramping up production of liquid crystal televisions seems real, but their web site is a bit lame : http://www.spatialight.com/

I'll have to keep a close eye on this one.

By close HDTV did break its downtrend.  Breaking a downtrend is no reason to buy, imo  ;).. what does give a possible reason to buy here is a double bottom breakout.  Support 3-3.50.. resistance is 4 and the 200sma.  Lets see what happens.  8)

GBN - I had it on a list of stocks to look at last night and while the TA was good.. I just couldn't back up the play at all with fundamentals.. it seems like a weak gold pick although I cant deny that technical pattern looks great(target 2.40ish)

Alos, I've been hoping gold will push AGT up.  Somthing happened this week, but what? The dollar thing  ???

MBAY - the chart looks weak.. that great rise with strong volume and then this slide has tapered to no volume.. I would wait for a volume day greater than 2million to get a better feel for what this stock wants to do.

AGT - some gold stocks may be overpriced, even with the increase in gold prices.. I dont have time to look at the fundamentals but the chart seems in-tact.. volume was weaker on this last breakout.. support from 9ema and 20ema may come in handy

PRGX - yep.. they tried but couldn't do it.. still a break above 76cents with volume makes it interesting.. this is unlikely though
