Since this is a penny stock there is a lot more risk in this type of position and you should be aware of that going in. There is always the risk of some kind of dilution. Still.. its that risk that sometimes leads to explosive gains. We think we have that setup here. Lets see NMKT takeoff!
We will buy NMKT @ the open for both the 3SOF and 3SOV portfolios.

Superb combination of fundamentals, savy (the move into a hot business zone (homeland security) and TA. I needed variety in my trading portfolio. Thanks a million! Don.
Hi elite
Got in on this one on 3-13-06 @.34 and sold 1/3 of my position Friday @.40 to lock in some profit and holding rest for the run.
I also stated in another thread that I think this will be a good stock to play on earnings for the whole year.
Goodluck to all holding :)
A little more on NMKT and TA from another mans eyes. 8)
To get a better idea of the fundamental growth ive included a snapshot of the companys quarter to quarter and annual revenues and EPS. As well as the growth rates. TA analysis and comments in the charts.

I have traded and posted on NMKT before and also when it was IPVO. The potential upside with NMKT is huge, they have a great sales and marketing story going on here, but as yet have not been rewarded by the market. In fact the reverse has been true, NMKT has been systematically targetted for naked short selling (including listing on Berlin exchange without NMKT permission) and negative chat room stories (surrounding CEO Vergers). All that could become history as the results and forecasts start to build new ownership and interest in NMKT stock. The numbers will start to shout loud!!
I love the risk reward on offer here, but state the above based on what I have seen of IPVO / NMKT these past 2 years or so. It has dissapointed before, but I think momentum is tipping in its favour now.
Good Luck

Hi Aussie,
I have to admit that I had never looked into NMKT before eliteG brought it up over the weekend and it is probably good the same - the disconnect between the company's performance and the stock price would probably have driven me nuts.
Many of the penny picks are mainly technical based with a fundamental cover story based on great promises for the future. NMKT is different; they actually have a track record of delivering on their promises. The graph below illustrates the increasing spread between the stock price and the company's performance.
Short traders are normally highly sensitive to technical signals and with the increased momentum we might see them starting to capitulate :)
Michael / eliteG,
What do you mean by buying the stock for both 3SOF and 3SOV portfolios?
Do you buy a double number of shares?
Thanks,
Ohad
Telco on the 6th:
"We believe the 2005 financial results validates NewMarket's business plan introduced in 2002," said Philip Verges, Chairman and CEO. "Launching a new operation with the goal of defining a new market segment is a bold undertaking. Understandably, such initiatives are harshly scrutinized. Our record 2005 profit which represents an increase in operating margins and a 300% increase in earnings per share over 2004 is a major step towards building awareness of NewMarket on Wall Street. NewMarket's positive financial performance is generating new investor interest in our business plan to develop an improved alternative to current corporate high-tech research and development. We firmly believe that many of the challenges in funding research and development can be overcome by our approach to introducing emerging technologies. We look forward to sharing NewMarket's 2005 financial results in more detail on the conference call and providing highlights on progress toward goals in 2006."
Philip J. Rauch, Chief Financial Officer, said, "It will be a pleasure to present these impressive financial results for 2005 and answer questions from our shareholders for the first time since joining the NewMarket team."
Mr. Verges and Mr. Rauch will conduct the conference call on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 4:05 EDT to review the 2005 Annual Report and address pre-submitted shareholder inquiries. Because my brokers – E*Trade and Ameritrade – did not let me give a buy order at market I put in an limit order, before the open, at yesterday's close of $0.389 and this did not get filled as the stock took off like a rocket right from the open.
How do you people see the chances that the price will retract to something like $0.40 this morning?
I later changed my limit buy order to $0.422 and this got now filled.
Waiting on this one. Opened similar to ONEV when 3SoF bought. Gap up. Subscribers chasing the ask. Price stalled. So far this follows the ONEV pattern. For the pattern to continue, we'd see slow deterioration of the stock price over the next few days, a gap fill, then acceleration of the pps decline as today's early buyers desperately dump at the bid to get out ahead of the official stop price.
A gap fill would be healthy and would confirm the breakout: http://tinyurl.com/nf4cu
Hopefully this group won't panic and break the chart like it did to ONEV :-[

ONEV was a smaller company, the market cap was a quarter that of NMKT, so I am not sure that the 3SOF subscribers buying or selling will have the same effect. NMKT seems like a more "real" company to me, it has 200 full time employees whereas ONEV has 11.
The gap may indeed fill, if a short squeeze doesnt happen first. If it does fill, I may add to my position to mimick a 3SOV posiiton, since somehow I didnt realize at first that it was being bought for both portfolios.
I have been in and out of NMKT for the last 3yrs and I have to say that NMKT's CEO issues a lot of fluff PRs and always sells shares into the rally to raise capital. That's one of the major reasons that the stock price has been consistently below 50 cents even thought the max has been $1.30. It has beena one man show up and untill the last few months whena CFO was added. Of course there was a COO who quit. 2005 CEO forecasted $75M but ended up with $50M!!! This was due to a bad acquisition, Logiccorp, Canada. I am not syaing NMKT is not a good stock but the CEO has to exhibit more integrity than he has in the past. By the by in absence of CFO, the CEO was the CFO.
Hopefully the past is rectified, the CEO has learnt a lot and there are better times to come! $500Million in 3yrs is a great forecast but what if it turns out to be $150M. The CEO has very little credibity with the markets. Hope that will change in the future!
Thanks for all the info guys.. it really helps. :) We are aware of the CEO and the fluff PRs but the TA here right now is speaking a different language. Its this exact controversy that can lead to an amazing move ;)

This conference should generate a lot of excitement! A reduction of outstanding shares is what every penny trader loves to hear! This means the shares that we hold become more valuable. :o
Today we had a great move for NMKT and it showed a lot of strength gapping, not filling that gap and finishing at the high of day. Volume came in at over 6million..very nice 8)
Lots of revenue, growth, conference call, reduction of outstanding shares, short squeeze, AMEX listing and TA lining up.. NMKT could be set to make a dynamic move above $1(mkt cap 45 ~ 2005 revenues 50million ~ projected 2006 revenues 87.5 ~ plans for 500 million in revenue). This is just the beginning. :o

l I got in yesterday and added more this morning. These are the finds I like to be introduced to. Thanks to the 3stocks on fire team. This stock could reach the $1 level easily with the momentum that is building and we all know that an AMEX llisting will push it even higher..
Just curious, has anybody been watching STTK.ob ?????? What a run. I got in at .80 cents... Wow.. Lets see if NMKT can match that holding...
Again great find!!!!!! This is a great long term hold!!!

Got back in @.46 Tuesday and will hold for the ride this time.Have already locked in some profit and will see where it will go.

hey guys we will evaluate the exit plan tonight. NMKT looks very strong.. the idea is it will continue to run at least to the conference call which is tomorrow after market close. If you have a big position or feel uncomfortable please do a partial sell.. that is fine ;) but in my head I think this is still far from over. 8)

Bam! Another powerful move up and we've made over 50% in 3 days. >:D Volume rose and so did price by over 17%. The Conference Call is Thursday evening. This could be a very bullish thing for the stock but we could also get a <<sell the news>> or <<sell ahead of the news trend>>. So what we will do to protect profits is sell half in the morning and hold the rest with a stop. [*The portfolio will be updated when we complete the whole trade] We are only 36.5 cents from a dollar. >:D
We will sell 1/2 NMKT in the morning and hold the rest unless it hits our stop @ .53.

Quick question G, you say sell 1/2 in the morning, is that different than selling at market open? I.E. would there be an alert like "sell now at 10:20 AM"? Just wanted to make sure as semantics here can turn into $$$ here :)

I know that what you are saying is correct toky ;) but NMKT could run at open as well.. so we will leave that to everyobdy's own judgement. I will try to chart the intra-day a bit to help us out if I get a chance.
G - how come you don't sell the whole StocksOnFire position and hold the whole StocksOfValue postion, rather than 50/50 with each? That way you've got it in the SOV port for its longer term price appreciation, while booking the whole quick gain in the SOF port.

For me, using Ameritrade, to sell at market open would mean to enter, before the market opens, a sell order at market but Ameritrade won't let me do this for stocks on the OTC board, nor does it allow triggers for these stocks. It must be a limit sell order. Therefore, earlier this morning I gave a sell order with $0.70 as the limit and I shall have to watch it when the market opens.
Do all brokers impose this limitation on OTC stocks?
Strange, now, closer to the open and using the Streamer console, Ameritrade has let me enter a market sell order for NMKT.
Sold 1/2 NMKT holding at 0.675 (was waiting for 0.7 but chickend out when it retrced from 0.695)
I did exactly the same ;D - sold @0.67
1/2 out .68 >:D
great trading Maestro, Danny :).. now lets see if we can hold this price level until the CC ;)
1/2 out at 0.67 ::) ::) ::)
This level or higher >:D >:D >:D
Elite, 3SOF will keep the other half as long as it does not print the stop. Have you considered selling the other half at a higher target, so setting a limit sell order?
Curious to know, b/c that would say something about your expectations for today.
Amarens
Out with almost half at .665, been a GREAT ride for that half, would love to see a double on the other half! >:D
Out at .67 ;D

Great Trading Amarens! 8) We will stick to plan as not all of our members are available to trade during the day but the point is to hold for what could possibly be a great CC to punch shares even higher.

If the CC is really good we will enjoy the profit but not increase the risk by adding to our position. Nice trade 422fwhp! ;)
OK, morning gap has filled and then some, at .58 now, lets see a recovery!
oh gee.... :o my heart sank as it touched 0.55.... let's hope it will hold to the conf call!!! >:D
This is a volume backed breakout without doubt. Look at a 2 year weekly chart. You see a double bottom test of $0.26 zone (after a silde from $1 area). The fundamentals and new ownership (stock ownership that is, based on the volume past couple weeks) should see NMKT hold gains and build back towards the $1 area (where by fundamental valuation it should be). There may be some bumps to ride between time, but I expect that to play out over the coming weeks.
Good Luck
You people need to BUY BUY BUY to get it back up. I am down 9% on this thing. After losing 40% of my money yesterday I cant afford to keep taking these hits.
I am going to sell at a loss and get my money out of Scottrade. This isnt working out for me.
Thanks for the free trial 3SOF, but I am done. I am going to find me a nice Mutual fund.
Hi vista
Shell shock;;This is something that takes time to learn and one must be willing to take the time to learn it if they are going to win at it. It's like going back to school. If you should decide to keep trying one piece of advise is do paper trading till you get to understand it and can begin to make money at it on paper first and then when you get the confidence that this is going to make you some money then try it again , but use only a small amount that you can afford to loose before you begin to use the big bucks.
It takes a lot of studying and listening and learning to win this game.
Hope you have the best of luck :)
Also this site is the best learning tool on the web if you really want to learn stock trading
Yeah, I am going to paper trade for awhile. I bought 2 picks from this board over the last few days and lost a ton. I apparently dont understand how these boards work...

Vista I'm curious as to when you bought this stock? We disclose a full trading plan and we bought NMKT April 3 @ .41. We are up over 40% on this position so there is no way that you could have lost a ton on this play if you followed the trade plan we post. In fact our half-sell today went for +65% and our stop has been perfect so far. I really do not appreciate your remarks when we work very hard on these plays and our portfolio has grown tremendously.
The performance of the two portfolios has improved tremendously since reorganization.
In less than one month, the 3F has reversed from negative to almost 20% gain for the year.
If this trend continues, this year will see over 200% gain.
Good job !!!

Thanks for the free trial 3SOF, but I am done.
Vista, I don't know on what date exactly you signed up. I did on March 20, first trade was the short sell of CCRT on March 22.
It takes some time to build up the portfolio to 15 securities and at the moment, after the sale of TGC, I am holding XING, XRTX, TOMO, NMKT and WDPT. The cash balance is still much more than half of the total portfolio value.
Having followed the 3SOF recommendations to the letter, at 11:38 am today my total portfolio value – securities and cash combined – was up 5.8% compared to the starting point 17 days ago. On closed trades so far (CCRT, NMKT, TGC) I have made a total profit of 11.3%, after commissions. In other words, I am not complaining.
We're hanging on by a thread :o
Will it hold here ???
Wouldn't surprize me if we are seeing a new support being formed right now and next resistance should show next week after the cool down.
Just my opinion
Stll holding, new shares was bought on unsetteled funds from last sell of NMKT. Still have strong feelings of it staying at least where it is now if not higher.
Goodluck to all holding

I am not so concerned with this one. Even if it stops out at $0.53 I am making a nice profit on this second half of NMKT, having bought it at 0.422, 25.6% in fact.
Sold the first half at $0.675, at a profit of 59.4%.
Highlights:
1. Read 2005 10KSB to get the background detail on financials and business strategy;
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1092083/000116415006000076/nmti-10ksb_123 12005.txtshow
Basically stronger 2005 results following a strong 2004 which gives credence to sustainability of business model
2. Next filing will be May 15 10Q; it will be on time; (I expect great results! - CEO hinted as much)
3. Pursuing AMEX listing; was guarded in response but confident that it will occur in 2006.
4. Management still intends to honor dividend distribution promised; no timing given
5. Management is opposed to reverse split; (may be out of their hands if it is a requirement for listing)
6. Plans to restructure debt to minimize dilution
7. 2006 growth expected to exceed 15% CAGR announced in prior communications; CEO hinted of possible upward revision
8. Plenty of cash to complete acquisition of Uni-One
All in all, not earth shattering; but I leave more comfortable that management is honest and not trying to feed a frenzy.

NMKT: Conference call regarding 2005 Annual Report @ 16:05 ET Today
Thursday , April 06, 2006 13:05 ET
NewMarket Technology Inc (OTCBB : NMKT) will host a conference call regarding 2005 Annual Report.
Call Details
When : Thursday, April 6, 2006
Phone # : 563-843-7510
Passcode : 809315#
Source: Company Press Release
Misc Information: For those that are not able to participate an audio recording of the conference call will be posted on the NewMarket Technology website (www.newmarkettechnology.com) by Wednesday, April 12, 2006.
I thought it came across as very positive. It was good to hear them emphasize the fact that the real value is not reflected in the share price yet, and to back it up with numbers. Also, the dividend as shares in new spinooffs is a good one to keep new investors on board and avoid a big dump. Looks very good long and short term to me. Impressive and enthusiastic I would say. I hope for mid 70s tomorrow.
update NMKT:
Our plan for today was to sell in the morning and hopefully stay in to see the reaction to the CC but protect from loss by setting a stop. This plan executed perfect. We got a beautiful gap up to sell, THE HIGH OF THIS RUN! and the stock found a bottom at 55 cents.. 2 cents above our stop. ;)
Now we get to see what the reaction will be. From what you guys are posting (I didn't listen to CC) it seems that that conference call did not give out any stellar news. The dividends by shares in spinoffs is pretty lousy(not surprising though).. I do not see much value in getting shares of a .ob spinoff. To minimize dilution = there will be some dilution. Must be above 1 for AMEX so they need to push it. Yet the revenue is still there and their guidance.. will that be enough for the crowd?
"Rome is the mob"
We are going to stick with the stop @ .53 and not try anything fancy. If we get knocked out.. it was a great trade.. dont fall in love with these pennies :-*, we'll find more, no doubt >:D 8).. and we will keep NMKT on the radar. In case NMKT manages to rise.. well now.. I'm ok with that. :)
We will hold NMKT unless it hits our stop @ .53.

Quote20060406 NMKT CC
Start: 4:08 PM EDT
Stop: 4:52 PM EST
Duration: 44 minutes
In attendance: Philip Verges, CEO; Philip Rauch, CFO
- - - - - -
Conference call format:
1. Overview of the company
2. Review of the published 2005 financials
3. Provide commentary on the recent appreciation in share price
4. Address Shareholder questions
5. Highlights for 2006
6. Brief review at the end about the return from the China Trade Mission. Phil Verges and Huge Robinson returned as recently as last night.
- - - - - -
The c.c. is coming from Houston, TX, from the branch office of the Dallas Federal Reserve. Phil Verges and Phil Rauch are there to sign and work on a significant business opportunity.
Information disclosed in this conference call will be released in a press release tomorrow morning. A recording of the call will be put on the company's web site.
- - - - - - -
1. Corporate Overview (Phil Verges, CEO)
(Nothing new here.) One half of sales currently come form the Systems Integration side of the business.
2. Review of the published 2005 financials (Phil Rauch, CFO)
a. PR reviewed the highlights previously disclosed in the PR that accompanied the 3/31/2006 filing.
b. PR did an excellent job of hammering home the large percentage increases in the categories.
c. As the Cash Flow increases, this will provide NMKT with the opportunity to acquire future acquisitions with all cash, if not with cash and shares combined.
3. Highlight share price appreciation
a. The published 10-KSB results was the catalyst for the increase over the past week.
b. NMKT's price is transitioning to one based on the value of the underlying financials.
c. The trending down of the price in the past two years was based on investor speculation that the company could not maintain a sustainable operation. However, the 10-KSB
demonstrated that the use of equity over the past two years has demonstrated sustain ability. This showed that the company has exhibited prudent use of equity over the
last two years.
d. The notable expanded board of directors and the expanding management team, in addition to the financials, has sent a clear message to the investment community.
4. Shareholders questions
a. Shareholder questions have been grouped into four (4) categories:
1) 10-KSB vs. 10-K
2) National exchange listing plans and objectives
3) Dividend strategy
4) capital structure, as it impacts the fully diluted issued and outstanding shares.
1). 10-KSB vs. 10-K; Why was the FY2005 filed using the "small business" designation?
* The "SB" designation allows for providing period comparisons over just 2 years. The 10-K requires comparable over 3 and 5 year periods.
* After two years in a row of revenues in excess of $25M, then the next annual filing can no longer make use of the "small business" (SB) format. As such, FY2006, filed in 2007 will be a 10-K instead of the 10-KSB.
* Starting with the first quarter of 2006, the filing will be on a 10-Q, sans "SB". The 1Q06 10-Q will be filed on time.
* Why was there no break out information provided by the operating units and subsidiaries?
** PV and PR have discussed this. Given that the goal is to spin-off each and every subsidiary, once each spin off happens, then each individual subsidiary will be subject to providing their break out in their own 10-QSB and 10-KSB filings.
2). National exchange listing plans and initiatives
* A move to a nation exchange is one ONE of the initiatives that NewMarket is pursuing. The AMEX listing is only ONE, not the ONLY, and not the PRIMARY initiative.
* Which exchange? NewMarket applied to the AMEX under standard 3. NMKT can not comment at this time that AMEX will be the ultimate exchange that they will be listed. AMEX does offer advantages over NASDAQ. AMEX is in the process of defining itself as a micro-cap exchange. Nasdaq, on the other hand, is moving away from micro-cap listings.
Reverse Split concurrent with the new exchange listing?
* At the time that NMKT applied to AMEX, it did so under the exemption that did not require a minimum price for listing. Since the application, the SEC reviewed the AMEX
standards and has eliminated the standard three exemption. A bonified argument can be made that NMKT should be grandfathered under the requirements in place at the time they applied and paid their fees. Phil Verges can not comment as to the resolution of that argument with AMEX. PV will also not comment on the timing of expectations for a new listing. NMKT has the listing as a high priority and they are working diligently on achieving that listing. NMKT has as an objective a listing within the 2006 calendar year. No date will be provided specific to that.
3). Dividend Strategy.
* Defense Technology Systems (DFTS) Spin-off:
** Background: NMKT sold its 51% stake in DCI to DFTS in exchange for preferred stock in DFTS. NMKT will convert one category of their received preferred DFTS stock into common shares of DFTS stock to distribute to NMKT shareholders of record (July 1, 2005).
** NMKT has every intention of distributing that dividend. Subsequent issues sidetracked the conversion of that preferred stock. The original date of record (July 1, 2005) for NMKT shareholders is still in place.
* There are new dividend opportunities within the next 12 months:
** Spin off of Systems Integration business, VoIP Business, NewMarket China.
** Additional equity opportunities exist with the affiliates. Shareholders should see announcements within the next 12 months.
4) Capital structure
* Objective is to reduce the fully diluted issued and outstanding. The convertible preferred stock was issued relative to acquisitions. The same with the convertible
debt. The board of directors and management are actively involved in restructuring the convertible stock and debt. They are looking for ways to convert existing stock and
debt into shares of the subsidiary that will be spun off. Their intention is to mitigate dilution to NMKT common stock. A plan is being worked on. We should see announcement on the subject. The plans are being worked on and they are important to NMKT. The preferred stock and debt will be converted into other securities that will
be spun off.
* VergeTech (VTI): The restructuring of preferred will involve ALL convertibles, including VergeTech convertible debt (40M shares). Options for the VTI debt is to either
take it to straight debt with no conversion feature, or with a balance converting into the stock of a subsidiary.
* Management ownership of NMKT stock. Management ownership is disclosed in all filings. Management and the board of director members will participate in ownership and file the proper documents.
5. Highlight of 2006 guidance and forecast:
* The official guidance was for a 15% compounded growth rate.
* The internal business plan has a goal of potential revenue of $7M. This far exceeds the 15% growth rate.
* NMKT will provide an upward revision, either as a number or as a percent, as the new numbers dictate. The new revision will be made publicly.
* The UniOne Consulting acquisition had $14M in 2005 revenues. The 1Q06 10-QSB will reflect that acquisition.
* Results beyond the plan will be achieved. NMKT has additional UniOne category transactions in the pipeline.
* NMKT is also working to develop organically larger and longer contracts. NMKT is looking to expand their information technology into "Business process outsourcing" (BPO).
6. Review of China Trade Mission
* Previous trade missions were focused on raising capital for the NewMarket China subsidiary.
* This past trade mission shifted gears and was concentrating to develop China as a major aspect of the company's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
* China, as a country, is making an investment in Business Process Outsourcing. The country is graduating more students in that aspect of information technology.
* china currently has $3 billion BPO from Japan.
* On our trip, NMKT visited information technology business process outsoursing firms that we would consider as partners and as potential acquisitions.
* Dr. Wendel Jones is a published author on the BPO subject. New details of Dr. Jones and Huge Robinson response to NMKT's plans will be forthcoming.
* NewMarket will be releasing details regarding a Chinese development software center in North America. NMKT intents to bring BPO to China by being able to demonstrate those capabilities in North America.
There will be a press release next week.
(End of Conference Call)
The expectations to the CC was obviously huge so it is difficult to forecast the reaction but all in all it seems to be a very upbeat and exciting call. I like the China BPO strategy. will be exciting to see the press release next week.
It seems we also can expect a press release in the morning hours with highlights from the CC.
It is going to be an exciting day!
We sold NMKT @ .53.
I was up almost 40% at open yesterday, check back a couple hours later and its all gone. check in today and now im holding heavy bags full of potential. i just cant seem to time anything right. I wish a bio-med company can devise a pill to help the mood swings associated with idiotic trading timing. they'd make a fortune off me.

you didn't sell the gap open yesterday per plan?
Sold 3K shares at the stop then decided to keep 10K and see where this goes. Anyone else still in?
Hi tokyopua
I'm still holding and plan to hold but I've been in this since 3-13-06 and my first buy was @.34 and have made two sells and re-entered once since then so my shares I'm holding is free shares so I'm not lossing holding these, that's why I plan to hold these.
I believe it will slowly work it's way back up when next PR about earning's comes out in May. I stated in one of the threads on NMKT that I believe it is forming a new support somewhere between .50 and .60 and I believe by the end of next week the new support and resistance will be shown on the chart.
Goodluck to all holding
Excellant pick elite,,you have really brought this site to life since being added to the board.
Keep up the good work. You have an excellant future in the market world.
Wrangler,
Thanks for that perspective. I managed to buy in at .4 so am not losing too much holding here presently at .5 levels, and am willing to wait till May with this reduced position made up of almost free shares from the profit I made selling half at .665 :D
Sounds like a plan,,tokyopua
Let's hope for a good month ahead till release in May
Alright guys, I'm still in, sold half at .675 and bought it all back at .5
I think Wrangler is right, this stock will have more numbers to show soon. This run may just be the tip of the iceberg.
Good Luck to us!!
I'm holding as well and believe green days are ahead. Unless it was a very well-orchestrated pump and dump like STTK, it should go to higher levels in the near future based on the huge volume we saw this week. And just to clarify, when I say pump and dump I'm not talking about 3StocksOnFire or anyone here. I'm talking about boiler rooms, organized crime, etc. Sure I wish I'd sold the gap up on Thursday and bought back today. I also wish I'd bought TASR at $4 the year it went to $180. I wish I could wake up Monday and see 10 of my stocks up 800% in premarket. But I must deal in the here and now. NMKT is going up and I'm going to hold on for a max gain. Good luck longs!
I would be interested in hearing Michael and Elites opinions on this stock.
Fundementals didn't change, numbers were good for the CC, heck everyone knew the news before it came out to begin with.
The pump and profit taking on the run are over is this still a value play and if not why?
I'm all for daytrading a stock as the market ebbs and flows, however if we find a stock worth holding on a fundemental basis shouldn't we hold a position in the stock and still trade it short term?

Great questions here boatguy. Let me break it down:
QuoteFundementals didn't change, numbers were good for the CC, heck everyone knew the news before it came out to begin with.
Part of the problem is that nothing new and exciting was gained from the CC.. people don't want expections met on a stock that has gained such a huge %.. they want to have excitement. Simply for this a reason a stock will go down even if its solid.
QuoteThe pump and profit taking on the run are over is this still a value play and if not why?
No one knows if the profit taking phase is over. This company is a penny stock for a reason! Never forget that. This means that every statement they make needs to be doubted big-time. The technicals lined up with their statements when we took a position.. now as far as the portfolios go we will wait for another safe entry.
QuoteI'm all for daytrading a stock as the market ebbs and flows, however if we find a stock worth holding on a fundemental basis shouldn't we hold a position in the stock and still trade it short term?
We did not day-trade this stock. Timing wise what we did was swing-trade a trend.. the trend was: a run into a specified date(the CC). Managing a portfolio with many followers means we have to be very creative with these penny stocks.
------------------
I do believe NMKT can eventually go higher but when we bought in the technical setup was safer. Fundamentally it is still a value play but the penny stock status means I would not hold on the way down. So we will be watching NMKT for a setup.
Your right G- We don't know if the profit taking is over and I am taking a risk here.
I am prepared to take a small loss on my new position but will exit if needed.
I have a nice profit and don't plan on letting to much of it slip away. ;D
Speculating here and have a cushion if things don't pan out.

Why sell so early? just asking...

Terlisa,
I think EliteG explained the reasoning for selling in the 3SOV thread, it makes sense from a risk management point of view and locking in the profits for the portfolio.
http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=5037.msg56384#msg56384
That being said, I am holding to see what happens and agree with you that there are a lot of bullish indicators. I like the stock looking at if from both a weekly and daily perspective.
Here is the weekly chart, I like the way the force indicator looked back in Nov 03 then and how it looks now >:D 13 ema in both daily and weekly is also sloping upward ;D
Glad to see Terlisa approves of staying long on NMKT.

Tokyo - nice comparison to 2003. I second Terlisa's inquiry: Why sell so early? If I were a fruit fly I'd have sold too. That's cause fruit flies only live 10 days, so they have to take their profits very quickly. I expect to live for many more decades, therefore it makes sense for me to hold a littile longer and capture a bigger piece of the move.
Dammit, fill the gap already so we can get back on track! Only gotta drop another cent or two.

Weak close today at .41 which is SMA 20. I really hope it will bounce off of 20 SMA next week.
I got in a bit early at .465 and now down 26%. Don't like being down on a stock right away.
Not sure why this selloff but it might be selloff on news and long weekend.
We'll find out next week.
The MA seems to be holding well. Selling pressure has faded.
I am buying as a play into the earnings report. ;)

NewMarket Technology Inc. to Report Record Quarter in Latin America; CEO Updates Shareholders on Current Company Initiatives to Include Reduction of Fully Diluted Issued and Outstanding and Management Stock Purchase
Business Wire - April 21, 2006 07:56
DALLAS, Apr 21, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT) released a statement to investors today from CEO Philip Verges providing an update regarding recently announced strategic initiatives.
Mr. Verges said, "NewMarket continues to execute through a transition from a start-up concern to slowly being recognized by Wall Street as the high growth sustainable operation it has become today. The reporting of healthy financial performance with fundamentally sound profits and balance sheet growth is at the core of this transition. We expect to complement our record revenue and profit recently reported for year end 2005 with a solid First Quarter 2006 financial report. NewMarket enjoyed 101% revenue growth in 2005 over 2004 reporting $50.1 million with $2.9 million in net income. Our First Quarter 2006 10Q filing will include record revenue from our rapidly expanding operations in Latin America. From NewMarket's entry into Latin America in 2004 in Venezuela, we have expanded operations into 5 Latin American countries to date and finished 2005 with revenue of over $9 million. Our Latin America business report will include the first consolidation of the recently acquired Unione Consulting in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Last year, Unione booked profitable revenues of approximately $14 million.
To enhance NewMarket's transition, we have initiated a number of strategic initiatives to support continued fundamental financial performance -- for instance, the recent expansion of our Board of Directors. Of particular interest to shareholders is our announced intention to reduce the fully diluted issued and outstanding and management's plan to purchase NewMarket stock in the open market. A reduction in the fully diluted issued and outstanding will be reflected in conjunction with the quarterly report. Management has recently completed the prerequisite organizational requirements and legal reviews to execute on a stock purchase program. In the coming weeks, shareholders can anticipate the SEC filings required when management make additional investments in the company.
As a result of recent coverage on our record year in revenue and net income, NewMarket increased its shareholder base. We endeavor to set ourselves apart from other micro cap public companies through frequent shareholder communications. I encourage new shareholders to add their e-mail address to our database for receipt of all press releases and other industry information by sending a request to

NewMarket Technology, Inc. Releases Shareholder Update on Organic Revenue Growth to over $100 Million in 2007
Tuesday September 19, 10:24 am ET
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2006--NewMarket Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT - News) today released an update on the Company's organic sales and marketing program implemented this year. The following statement was issued by the Company today:
Before any consideration of future acquisitions, NewMarket anticipates comfortably exceeding $100 million in profitable revenue in 2007 from organic sales growth alone. Based on the collective operation updates by NewMarket Technology's business unit managers, initial planning estimates indicate that NewMarket's existing sales growth from current customers and a conservative acquisition of new customers will result in $120 million in profitable annual revenue.
Potential Upward Revision from Large Contract Sales Strategy
Supplementing the existing sales and marketing program that is generating the current organic sales growth, NewMarket has also undertaken a campaign to secure longer-term sales contracts of more substantial size and length. NewMarket is a relatively young organization without a long history of substantial revenue. The first large contracts will be a notable milestone in the Company's overall development. Although always difficult to determine if and when contracts will close, the Company is currently in various stages of a number of contract negotiations and the closing of only one of these contracts would be a major milestone toward this organic growth goal. NewMarket anticipates initial contracts with significant customers before the end of 2006 that can lead to substantial key account relationships in 2007. In the event NewMarket's strategy to secure a large contract is successful, the $100 million to $120 million revenue estimate for 2007 would be revised significantly upward.
Anticipated Upward Revision from Acquisitions into Subsidiary Operations
While NewMarket does not plan to expand operations through any direct acquisitions in the next twelve months, NewMarket's subsidiaries are actively engaged in multiple acquisition negotiations. The organic revenue growth estimate of $100 million to $120 million will be augmented with revenue growth resulting from acquisitions into subsidiary operations.
I like how this chart is setting up. I see a push over $0.40 here in the next several sessions.
