Conference Call Scheduled for April 4
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/060403/0120939.html

Strong growth, Great Balance Sheet and files for AMEX listing!  The Conference Call on April 4th was very bullish and now the stock is having a great reaction to it.

Michael listened in to the conferece call.. these are some of his notes about the company:

---------------Michael's Notes-------------------------------
-According to the conference call they expect to announce new distribution alliances in the coming weeks and months
-stellar growth
-struggling to meet existing demand from government agencies(lots of opportunity)
-7 job openings on their website!(growing companies must hire)
-growth is also fuelled by the increased ID theft!

**All DOD ressources and information will be protected with ORC PKI
and all contractors and suppliers will have to acquire the PKI

ORC's (100% owned subsidiary of WDPT) identity Management and eAuthentication Services have received three major U.S. government certifications. ORC remains the exclusive holder of one such qualification and has near-exclusive status in the others giving the company a substantial competitive advantage when bidding for governmental orders.

ORC was recently awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) from the General Services Administration with a ceiling of $100 million. Under the BPA, ORC may provide digital certificates, credentialing services and managed PKI services to federal agencies, state and local governments, educational institutions, commercial businesses and the general public.

The company's customers includes U.S. federal government agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Treasury Department and the Department of Justice as well as major transnational corporations such as Boeing Aerospace, Northrup Grumman and several major pharmaceutical companies.

----------End Of Michaels Notes----------------------

Technicals:

The subject says triangle explosion and we have just that. ;)  A symmetrical triangle broken to the upsde with large volume and this great fundamental news!  Strong support below from the triangle and moving averages(9,20,50) all bunched togeter.

Short-term:

--------------------

Long-term:

------------------------

WDPT is growing and is taking the steps to get listed on AMEX.  With support in place from heavy volume and mvg averages.. risk seems limited.  When a hot earnings report combines with explosive TA we must act.

We will buy WDPT @ market open.

- Price target?

greetz :)

(btw: VMCS.OB released an amazing PR, stock is up 60% in Germany, maybe interesting?)

Hi Fre  ;)

-This is the 3SOF thread..lol.. so it would be the 3SOF portfolio

-We'll talk price targets as the play develops.. but we're looking for at least $4 as this is the triangle projection.

Hi Fré,

eliteG answered that question very diplomatic. The truth is that it took 5 minutes to agree that this is a great pick and then 2 hours to discuss whether it was on fire or was a value play. EliteG won and I have to agree that it is on fire – but it is also a great value play!

Elite mentioned one Blanket Purchase Agreement but in fact they have 5 more similar agreements with a number of different governmental offices at a total value of $600 million (WDPT's market cap is $100 million). They obviously need to convert these agreements into revenue but as we saw in the last quarter that is in fact what they are doing. Widepoint's competitive position in the Governmental sector is extremely strong due to their intellectual property rights.

For now we will treat this as technical play but for those who like to pick up great growth companies cheap this might be a good long term investment as well  ;)

I am really loving what this company is doing and will do in the future.

update WDPT:

Today WDPT had a pause day closing a bit down but still above its mini-breakout and well above its triangle breakout.  Time to set a stop and its an aggressive one.  ;)

We will hold WDPT unless it closes below 2.70.

Elite & Michael,

Nice work.  Your detailed presentation of each stock is always appreciated !

I called and spoke with Cale at Hawk Associates.  They seem much better than most IR firms.  I got the impression that they give their clients sound advice to improve the pps, without the pump and dump OTC stigma.

A few things that stand out from my notes:  (probably nothing that you do not already know, but here goes).

-  The 1st and ONLY commercial provider available to choose from in the arena for these agencies to order from.

-  President Bush mandated with HSPD12 that government agencies have a plan in place by October 27th.  They then have 3 years to implement.

-  With a head start on a virtual Monopoly, WidePoint can forecast an amazing revenue stream based on the Presidential mandate alone.

-  The only company PKI in the order catalogue to choose from.

-  Hawk Associates says that the market is now discovering who the recipient of all the contracts will be (WDPT).

-  The # 1 client of Hawk Associates based on tenure and hours spent meeting with management.  Management of WDPT lays it on the table and also is willing to work hard on improving shareholder value. (they all seem to say that  ;D)  Hawk Associates feels very comfortable with WDPT management after numerous face to face meetings.  (they did not say this about some of the other companies they represent, we discussed 4 total).

-  WDPT has a reputation of being conservative in forecasting but may give some forward looking statements soon.

-  Hawk Associates projects serious revenue to hit Q3 & Q4 but thinks the AMEX listing may move the price ahead of this.  Obviously, he could not comment much on price.

-  4-8 weeks projection on reaching the AMEX from the filing date.

-  Barron Partners and Goldman Sachs had past positions in WDPT.  They are currently marketing to institutions.

-  1.3 million in current debt but not in further need of financing.(perhaps for an acquisition)

-  Looking to possibly make some more acquisitions as they did with ORC in 1994.

-  21% insider ownership.

-  9 million shares in the float & 50 million approximate fully diluted.

WDPT - OTCBB

Closing Price (04/06/06): $3.00
52-Week Range: $0.61 - $3.25
Market Cap.: $99.2 mil.
Basic Shares: 33.0 mil.
Insider Ownership: 20%
Est. Public Float: 9 mil.
Average Daily Trading: 280,225

FY '05 Revenue: $13.3 mil.
FY '05 Net Income: ($7.4 mil.)
Diluted EPS: ($0.30)
Diluted Shares: 54.0 mil.
Total Assets (12/31/05): $10.7 mil.
Total Liabilities (12/31/05): $3.1 mil.
Fiscal Year End: Dec. 31

* please correct any information above if applicable.  I was refering to notes earlier in the day.

Nice pick.  I bought some today.  It will be interesting to see how it develops.  Will it continue to gain strength before AMEX decision or pullback over the next few weeks.  We will have to see.   Enjoy the weekend.

update WDPT:

Great information from fill_the_gap!  Out of all the 3SOF play WDPT has the most potential for growth.  The day we talked about it Ramsburg, Michael and I all caught it in our scans.. so thats got to be magic right?  ;)

WDPT is acting bullish up here above its breakout(tight consolidation, inside day).  Support coming up from the 9ema and 20ema as well as the triangle top.  Strong volume again should send this one flying and being such a good value play as well we will probably have it in the portfolio for quite some time.

Elite, Michael and others,

Any ideas on a trading plan for WDPT ?

You think it moves at all into potential AMEX listing ?  Or do we need news of a deal ?

What is the up to date PE compared to the sector ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Jeff,

First of all thanks for the summary of your call to Hawks, Great stuff!

I see little doubt that WDPT will be accepted for trading on AMEX. They meet all criteria including a stock price above $1. We just have to have a little patience.

WDPT has already crossed the line between a penny stock and a "real" company. They have cleaned up their balance sheet, warrants have been exercised, they are cash flow positive etc.

I will not try to forecast a PE for 2006 except that it will be positive. As most software companies an increase in revenue has a strong impact on the bottom line and WDPT has everything lined up to continue a strong top line growth. Their revenue last year was $13.2 million and with Blanket Purchase Orders of 600 million and their very strong competitive position I think we will see a very significant growth.

Concerning the trading plan we already have a stop at 2.70 I really wouldn't put a target on this stock from a fundamental point of view at this point in time - it would be pure guesswork.

update WDPT:

A hammer formed on Thursday that bounced from the 20ema and closed above the 9ema and the mini breakout.  WDPT is still consolidating its breakout from the triangle.  As Michael said up there  ;) WDPT is destined for the AMEX.. and the numbers look good.  For now we will wait this one out.. I am removing the close below exit and replacing it with a evaluate on close data.  This means that we have a hold on WDPT and for now will only sell based on close data analysis.

Hey garym  ;)  yea you're right.. everytime I go to update WDPT there is just nothing to say  :D.. it ends up being that this should really be in the 3SOV portfolio (like Michael thought  :-X)

What we have here is just a nice consolidation above a strong triangle break.  I was hoping for more sustained volume.. but this light volume has created mostly horizontal movement high up in the pattern.. I consider this bullish and potentially explosive when volume rushes in.

The last time I spoke with Michael about WDPT he mentioned that the AMEX listing may be the next news we hear.  >:D

On this chart you posted for WDPT. Is that a darvas box i see (the one you draw at top of chart to the right)? The breakout above the box being 3.15 (more or less). Please let me know if that's what you see and if it is I guess that's what we're waiting for (a breakout above that box)

Thnx,

I think Ultra is refering to Nicholas Darvas(Autrhor, How I made 2000,000 in the stock market). Darvas refers to successive trading ranges in upward moving stock as boxes and trades these boxes.

Yeah, Thats exactly what I was refering to. I think G might have drawn a Darvas box with out even knowing it, cause it sure looks like one to me. I may be wrong, it's been a while since I read the book and I don't really use the technic in trading.

Interesting prospectus and you are probably right that it is the reason for the drop today.

I am not sure this is warranted though (from a fundamental point of view!). Basically all the large shareholders have decided to sell all or part of their shares in Widepoint. Now that sounds alarming but also very strange. I wouldn't be surprised if this is connected with the AMEX listing. They might want to make all or part of their shares available when the stock is tranferred to AMEX.

This is purely speculation and we will let the market decide. Even though the stock is fundamentally very attractive the drop today was technical damaging. We will therefore set a stop on WDPT at 2.55. This is below the strong support at 2.6.

Maestro, I am sure we did this a while back. Ameritrade doesn't currently accept stops for OTC, nor trade triggers (maybe this will change in the futre). So you have to set yourself a mental stop and an alert.

I know, AussiTrader. You helped me find my way about triggers on Ameritrade – for non-OTC stocks.

I had resigned myself to the idea that with OTC stocks it was a rule of the OTC board, not individual brokers, that stop orders are not allowed. Then I read a message of eliteG, I believe, saying that some brokers allow it, the message of tokyopua saying he has no problem setting a stop limit order for WDPT on E*Trade, the message of bmarc4211 saying that for OTC orders it works with triggers on Ameritrade, and I got my hopes up again.

So my question is: are there indeed online brokers that allow stop orders for OTC (bulletin board) stocks? If there are, I shall gladly open an account with one of them, but I would need to know who they are. I have tried it with Ameritrade and E*Trade and it does not work. I have emailed Scottrade to ask and they say they don't allow it.

I use Interactive Brokers http://www.interactivebrokers.com and have had no problems with execution and putting in stop losses on any stock I have traded. I have never traded pinks..so don't know about those. The trading platform is not the greatest but i also use Medved Quote Tracker http://www.quotetracker.com/ (free with the ads or no ads for a small monthly fee). I link these two together and I have been very satisfied. Now if I could get the trading thing down pat (SOF definitely helping in that dept) life will be grand. You can't beat IAB fees for trading. Have a look I don't know if this will work for you.

My motto is "if there's a way to make life easier, let's use it" and your reply helps me in that direction. I shall check out interactivebrokers.com and probably open an account with them. I like to be free during the day (in Switzerland, afternoon and evening) to work in the garden, go for a hike, dinner out, or whatever, anything but sit in front of the computer and watch the movement of the price of a stock or two, or wait for an alert I set on my broker's website to pop up.

How long is the process usually for a company to get listed on the AMEX?  I think the pr said that they started the process in Dec 05 when they filed their 10k for year end. Just wondering if there is a set process or deadline that might be approaching.

update WDPT:

Sorry for the delay on this update but there was truly nothing to say about WDPT until now.  ;)  WDPT remained above our stop consolidating above the symetrical triangle on low volume.  On thursday and friday guess who woke up?  Volume came in strong on the hammer(thursday) and then confirmation with even stonger volume(friday).  This was the move I was waiting for to add WDPT to my account.  Everything seems well positioned for a nice move now.. as long as volume sustains.  Could this be the move ahead of an announcement?(AMEX listing)

Hmmmm.... WDPT is an interesting stock.

We had a beautiful break out in the start of April when the company released their great full year earnings for 2005. After that the volume disappeared but the stock still managed to stay close to the top of the break out. It almost seemed like somebody was holding an invisible hand under the stock.

Then we had a strange registration statement filed on April 28 informing the market that all the main shareholders might sell part or all their shares. Even though the stock did dip on that news under low volume it soon recovered under increasing volume.

And yesterday after close the company filed their 10Q without any accompanying press release.

Even though the revenue increased slightly compared to the same period last year I had expected much more. The only reason given by the management for this languish growth is the following:

QuoteOur consulting services segment experienced declining revenues of approximately $123,000 from $2,584,000 for the period ending March 31, 2005 as compared to $2,461,000 for the period ending March 31, 2006 as a result of delays in awards and renewals of several contracts, which we expect to enter into during the second quarter of 2006.

No estimation of the effect of the delayed contracts or guidance for Q2.

There are some good news in the report as well. The loss before a once of gain from financial instruments in Q1 2005 decreased from $563K to $258K and the revenue from the PKI credentialing and managed services segment grew with 262%:

QuoteOur PKI credentialing and managed services segment experienced revenue growth of approximately 262% with revenues increasing approximately $138,000 from $85,000 for the period ending March 31, 2005 to $223,000 for the period ending March 31, 2006 as a result of continuing early adoption of the federal government's mandate under the Homeland Security Directive No. 12 ("HSPD-12").

Investing in WDPT is a bet on their PKI to be a widespread accepted standard so the significant increase in revenue from this segment is certainly encouraging but the revenue level is still very low and it will take a continued significant increase at these levels to make an impact on the bottom line. I do believe that this will happen but I am not sure the market will have the patience to wait.

All in all I have to say that I am disappointed and would normally be inclined to sell at the opening. There is only one thing holding me back and that is the "invisible hand" that have hold the stock up since the break out.

I have the feeling that we still don't know the full story about WDPT. Are they going to release news on AMEX listing in the near future? Are there some big Government contracts that are about to be closed?

So here is the plan. The first level of defense is the MA50 that stands at 2.84 today (supported by the ascending trend line). The second line of defense is the support at 2.8. We will raise the stop to 2.78 just under the support that should give the invisible hand a chance to do its magic  ;)

WidePoint Announces Q1 Revenue of $2.7M and Continued PKI Adoption and Revenue Growth
Tuesday , May 16, 2006 09:51 ET

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/16/06 -- WidePoint Corporation (OTC BB: WDPT), a technology-based provider of products and services to the government sector and commercial markets, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2006.

Revenue for the quarter was approximately $2,684,000, compared with approximately $2,670,000 for the comparable quarter ended March 31, 2005. The increase in revenue was primarily attributable to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) credentialing and managed services segment revenue growth of 262% to $223,000, from $85,000 a year ago. The PKI revenue growth was a result of increasing early adoption and ramp-up ahead of the pending deadlines issued under the federal government mandate under Homeland Security Presidential Directive No. 12 (HSPD-12) that commence on July 30, and October 27, 2006. The PKI segment revenue increase was partially offset by a decline in consulting services segment revenue of approximately $123,000 as the result of contract delays that occurred during the first quarter of 2006 and as a result of the company's revenue recognition policy that resulted in an increase in deferred revenues that the company should recognize during the second and third quarters of 2006. The operating loss for the quarter narrowed to $268,000, which included increases in investments in sales and marketing efforts in preparation for the deadlines associated with HSPD-12 and stock option expense of approximately $61,000, compared to a loss of $507,000 in the first quarter of 2005. As a result of the above, the net loss for the period was approximately $258,000, or $0.01 per diluted share, compared to net income of approximately $432,962 for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, which included a non-operational gain from financial instruments of $996,000.

WidePoint CEO Steve Komar said, "We are optimistic about the latter half of 2006 and the results we expect for the full fiscal year as our PKI segment participates in the launch and rollout of HSPD-12. We are still early in the adoption phase of the HSPD-12 mandate by federal agencies and remain confident in our expectations for strong growth within this segment during the second half of the year. We continue to expand our sales and marketing efforts, proposal activity, and negotiate strategic alliances in advance of the mandate's deadlines to further solidify our position as a leader in this developing marketplace."

WidePoint CFO Jim McCubbin said, "We are pleased with the developing business model within our PKI business segment as we continue to witness revenue and certificate growth as we approach the launch of HSPD-12. Excluding amortization expense, we realized positive operating income for this segment at an early point in the launch of its service life cycle and remain positive on its profitable expansion opportunities."

The company will hold a conference call at 4:15 p.m. EDT, Monday, May 22 to discuss the first quarter financial results and the company's future activities. To participate, call (913) 312-1295 any time after 4:05 p.m. EDT on May 22. A webcast of the call will be available at http://hawkassociates.com/widepoint/company.htm.

FAIRFAX, VA--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 9, 2007 -- WidePoint Corporation (AMEX:WYY - News), a leading provider of information technology assurance and identity management services, today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company reported total revenue of $3,289,000 for the second quarter of 2007, including revenue from the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) credentialing and managed services segment, which increased 488% for the quarter, from $201,000 in second quarter of 2006 to $1,186,000 for the second quarter of 2007. Second quarter total revenue of $3,289,000 compared to revenue of $4,842,000 million in the year ago period. The consulting services segment witnessed a decrease in revenues from $4,640,000 in the second quarter of 2006 to $2,104,000 in the second quarter of 2007 due primarily to a non-recurring software resale of approximately $1.5 million that occurred during the comparable year ago period.

Gross profit margins for the quarter increased to 33% from 17% in the comparable period, due primarily to greater margins associated with the company's PKI and managed services segment. Net loss for the quarter was approximately $1,000, or $0.00 per share, compared with a net loss of $230,000, or $0.01 per share, in the year ago period.

Second quarter 2007 highlights include:

--  The 488% increase in PKI revenues represented an absolute increase of
$985,000 over the comparable period, driving an improvement in segment
operating income from a loss of $103,000 in the second quarter of 2006 to
an operating gain of $366,000 in the current period.  Assets in the PKI
segment grew 81% on a year over year basis, from $1,001,000 to $1,817,000.

--  Growth margin expansion from 16.8% a year ago to 33.4% for the current
quarter represented an increase in gross profit of $283,000 and included
depreciation and amortization expense in the company's cost of goods sold.
Adjusted for those non-cash expenses, gross margins improved from 18.9% a
year ago to 36.7%, or $291,000 total, in the second quarter of 2007.

--  WidePoint realized cash from operating activities for the quarter of
$730,000 and increased its total net total cash flow for the quarter to
$553,000. The company ended the period with working capital of
approximately $3.5 million and cash and equivalents of approximately $3.3
    million.

--  The company self-funded investments of $170,000 for internal equipment
purchases and software development cost during the quarter allowing for a
pending approval for an additional three-year Authorization to Operate
(ATO) for the General Service Administration's ACES (Access Certificates
for Electronic Services) program and expansion of its core PKI
    capabilities.

--  United Space Alliance, LLC, selected WidePoint subsidiary ORC's
PIVotal ID© solution to implement an enterprise-wide Smart ID Badge
solution. The scope includes a cradle-to-grave turnkey solution from card
request to card termination. The chosen solution complies with Homeland
Security Presidential Directive(HSPD-12), Federal Information Processing
Standards Publication Series 201 (FIPS 201) and Personal Identification
Verification (PIV II) requirements and regulations.

Steve Komar, CEO of WidePoint, stated, "During the quarter we expanded our PKI managed service business with the addition of the United Space Alliance contract and the expansion of work with several of our existing business partners. Through these relationships we continue to leverage our historical expertise and fully compliant solution designation to issue certificates for the U.S. Government. The expansion of our credentialing and managed services business remains among our highest growth priorities over the next few years."

WidePoint CFO Jim McCubbin said, "We were pleased with our revenue growth in the PKI and managed services segment and we are actively pursuing several initiatives which should continue to accelerate our growth within the identity management and information assurance markets."

WidePoint will hold a conference call with CEO Steve Komar and senior members of the management team today at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The call will cover the company's second quarter results. Komar will open the call and a question-and-answer session will follow.
