Let's not forget CGR it is also belongs to Gold Sector....there is strong pattern about to break & I think it will, the volume is getting stronger too. ;)
Another nice pick Terlisa, thanks. I wound up buying this at 1.2 instead of UMC because I was nervous about the UMC gap and P/E. Plus oil and gold, cup and handle, nice indicators here, what's not to love?
Goodluck Tokyopua!!
CGR Close @ 1.28 HOD...
Ha... hay.... ;)
Another applause for you Terlisa, considering that CGR was one of only 3 stocks that was up for me today! And the run at the open shows it wants to go higher still!
Let's hope it will run more... a Bullish cross on the daily & weekly charts @ the same time is perfect, this will give us less risky play... that's why it pays to look on weekly charts first to see if the stock is rising ... sometimes, a stock is bullish in the daily but in weekly charts it shows bearish signs... don't trade those stocks!! ;)

Claude Resources Inc. reports significant increase in petroleum reserves
Monday April 17, 12:33 pm ET
SASKATOON, April 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Neil McMillan, President and CEO of Claude Resources Inc., is pleased to announce that Claude has received the December 31, 2005 annual year-end review (see March 30, 2006 release "2005 Oil & Gas Disclosure Documents") of its oil, natural gas liquids (ngls) and natural gas properties from Sproule Associates Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta and the report indicates credible increases in oil, ngls and natural gas reserves.
Crude oil and ngls proved and probable reserves have increased by 57% to 1,099,000 barrels, primarily as a result of infill drilling during the year. Natural gas proved and probable reserves have also increased to replace 2005 production. This reserve remains at 8,852 MMCF. Claude's oil, ngls & natural gas assets typically generate about 530 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The Alberta assets, representing 96% of total oil, ngls and natural gas production, are subject to a 70% gross overriding royalty which existed on the assets at the time of Claude's purchase. At current production and prices this royalty will be paid off in less than five years.
The estimated net present value of Cdn. $23.3 million was calculated net of all royalties and using a 10% discount rate and escalated oil and gas pricing. The "reserve life index" of the reserves is 10.7 years on proved and 12.9 years on proved and probable. A summary of the oil and gas reserves can be found on www.sedar.com in the Company's "Annual Information Form".
Hi Terlisa,

Dhiraj19, CGR made a breakout early from RECTANGLE PATTERN ;)
Everything happened after 1 pm. Before lunch there was volume but the price was 1.37 to 1.42 range and then all of sudden it broke the 1.50 resistance to move upward.

I bought some at $1.49 today. Hopefully this will break out to new highs soon!

$GOLD futures hits $700 IN 26 YEARS....
CGR made a move with high volume ;)
Any update on CGR Terliso? Is this a correction mirroring gold prices? This is pretty steep for the last two sessions.
I think CGR can get support here with its good FA, Q1 profit is 0.06
Are you meaning with the results they already released? Bad two days for cgr. Lets hope it has support here. Will have to watch gold prices also.
CGR is also shaping up, Gold rally is coming to town!! ;)
Terliso,
Do you think now is a good time to jump into this stock? I studied this stock very carefully. It has execlent potential, a value play .
The uptrend looks solid.
Small cap gold and oil stock, broke through the pivot of a cup and handle.
Interesting in that this Canadian company is into both oil/gas exploration and gold mining.
Claude Resources, Inc. is a natural resource exploration company focused on the exploration for and development of gold, oil and gas properties.
Claude is engaged in the exploration, development and production of gold. The Company currently produces between 50 and 60,000 ounces annually and, in addition, has a portfolio of advanced stage exploration properties. Currently all of Claude's mineral properties are located in Canada. The Company also has interests in Canadian oil & gas assets, operated by third parties, which generate about 25% of Claude's revenues.
I am interested in these companies for a number of reasons. Small natural resources companies have more growth potential more than the megacaps, because the undeveloped opportunities remaining in the world can have a bigger impact on the bottom line. The Canadian economy is doing well, the Canadian dollar is rising against the US dollar. I'm not sure whether Canadian companies trading on US exchanges are subject to Sarbanes-Oxley, but the possibility that they are not is a notable factor too. S-O takes a major bite out of US microcaps. CGR has also announced major mineral discoveries at its gold mine in Canada. Its price ratios are much better than comparable gold and silver companies.
I think. IMHO, all the indicators are suggesting CGR is undervalued
Small Cap Profile:
Small cap mining names, particularly Amex-listed ones, have done well lately. (see recent profiles: DEZ, EZM, KRY, MRB, NAK, NXG, NTO, TGB) Claude Resources is another small cap mining stock that looks interesting. CGR is a gold mining and oil and gas company based in Canada. Its principal asset is its 100% owned Seabee gold mine in Saskatchewan, Canada. The mine is a high-grade operation with 684,000 tonnes of reserves and an additional 1.5 mln tonnes of resources with significant upside potential. The co also controls a large land package around the Seabee mine which are now being explored. Claude also owns interests in several large oil and gas properties... Gold production at the Seabee mine increased steadily through 2H05, reaching a high of 15,100 ounces in Q4, 53% higher than the average production from the previous three quarters. The co recently doubled its mill expansion at the Seabee mine, from 550 tonnes per day to 1,100 tonnes per day. The co reported a small profit in Q4 on revs of $9.1 mln, up 25% yoy. Even though the sector has done well, there are still some names that are not well known like CGR, but look interesting.

Today's movement and AH news release
Claude Resources Inc. reports bulk sampling progress
Monday February 26, 5:06 pm ET
Toronto Stock Exchange Trading symbol - CRJ AMEX - CGR
SASKATOON, Feb. 26 /CNW Telbec/ - Claude Resources Inc. is pleased to provide an update on its Santoy 7 and Porky Lake bulk sample projects, both of which are "satellite" deposits to the Seabee gold mine in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The Santoy 7 project is located 11 kilometres (7 miles) east of Claude's Seabee gold mill and is accessible by an all-weather road from the Seabee mine site.
Ramp access has been developed and as of February 26, 2007, 45 rounds (135 metres) of ore have been extracted from the mineralized structure 40 metres below surface. Multiple samples (chips and mucks) are collected and assayed after each round. The samples collected to date indicate an estimated grade of 12.62 grams per tonne (0.41 ounces per tonne) with a "top cut" of 48.2 grams per tonne. Without "cutting", average grade is 13.6 grams per tonne (0.44 ounces per tonne). Samples were assayed by Claude Resources' assay lab at the Seabee mine site (not accredited). Check assays are conducted at site as well as at TSL Laboratories in Saskatoon and results are consistent with those reported.
Claude Resources previously reported a 43-101 compliant resource calculation in the March 1, 2006 press release "Claude Resources Plans Major Drill Program in 2006", and is available on the Company's website at www.clauderesources.com. That report identified a resource of 200,000 tonnes at 8.50 grams per tonne (0.27 ounces per tonne) at Santoy 7.
Up to 15,000 tonnes will be milled from Santoy 7 by the second quarter of 2007. Subject to positive bulk sample results and successful mine permitting, Santoy 7 ore may contribute to Seabee mine production in the second half of 2007. The Company is currently diamond drilling a further 40 exploration holes at Santoy 7 to better define a geological model and to expand the resource.
The Porky west project located 6.8 kilometres (4 miles) from the Seabee mill has had some preliminary bulk sampling work done as well. A decline was driven to access the top, lower grade portion of Porky west on both the 45 metres and 65 metre levels. Approximately 4,500 tonnes were mined from the 45 metre level at 3.76 grams per tonne (0.12 ounces per tonne) and about 2,500 tonnes were mined from the 65 metre level at 5.61 grams per tonne (0.18 ounces per tonne). A total of 7,500 tonnes were processed in the mill at 3.69 grams per tonne (0.12 ounces per tonne) with a 95.5% recovery rate. The discrepancy between mined grade and milled grade is a result of inadvertent dilution from low grade waste piles.
A 43-101 compliant resource on Porky west was also reported in the March 1, 2006 press release and identified 220,000 tonnes at 5.95 grams per tonne (0.19 ounces per tonne) in the resource category.
Additional bulk sampling will be performed on Porky west from the 65 metre level and below where previous diamond drilling indicated grade improving with depth. Timing of additional bulk sampling will be dependant on Porky west's merits relative to Santoy 7, Santoy 8 and the newest exploration project at Don's Lake, 5 kilometres (3 miles) east of the Seabee mill.
The Santoy 7, Santoy 8, Porky Lake and Don's Lake exploration programs are under the direction of qualified person Judy Stoeterau, P.Geo, Vice President Exploration of Claude.
Claude Resources has three surface drills currently operating at Seabee with a Cdn. $5.2 million exploration budget.
Claude Resources Inc.'s focus is gold exploration and mining. In addition to Claude's Seabee gold mine the Company owns the Madsen exploration project in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, a 10,000 acre property with a mill, shaft and permitted tailings facilities. The Company also owns oil and gas assets producing about 500 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The Company has 76.3 million common shares outstanding (82.0 million fully diluted) and is listed on the Toronto and American Stock Exchanges (TSX - CRJ; AMEX - CGR).
