HCBK unusual volume near the 52 week high... Buyout/takeover possible? Cramer seems to think its likely...

I wouldnt necessarily recommend an entry here - I just wanted to point out the unusual volume. This stock pays a nice dividend and has plenty of growth ahead. Taking a position here wouldn't be the worst idea... ;)

Today's Setups: ISNS & CRED

Both show breakouts of their respective trendlines. ISNS buy range indicated below on the chart. CRED could be bought right now with target indicated.  ;D

Hi Calven

Some interesting charts you got there, will have to take a closer look later.

IPT volume spike, yes what was that.  Thinking maybe a data error not yet corrected or somebody with a slip of the fingers when entering the qty on an order??

I was still able to pull up at least the 10 min chart for that day as shown below and it wasn't just one trade, but a series of trades up and down.  Must have been some rumor that turned out to be false.  Or maybe some one trying to run the stock for a pump and dump, but pretty low volume trading stock to try that on.

Will try and give you some more comments later.

Regardless of what it was that spike proves that their is enough interest in this to move it BIG TIME...  after it settles down a while I may get my feet wet as a speculative play... ;)

IONA - Doesn't get any better than this from a TA standpoint. I will be buying monday at the midpoint of that white bodied candle.

I really like the set up Calven.
Ascending Triangle Breakout.
Weekly chart shows:
50ma above 200ma
Tight Bollinger Band Broken on increased volume.
What I'm wondering though is, if it breaks 6.05 by block trades, will we still get a chance to buy lower than 6.05 in a short period of time?
What I see on the hourly chart is a possible breakout of $6.05
The support I'm looking at is $5.48
It may gap up on monday.
Fresh cross on MACD,Histogram, and stochastics is positive too.

I'm going to try to buy around  5.80 - I see support around 5.70. I love the volume and clear resistance break here- not to mention the nice uptrend....

Hi Calven, you're up early (4 AM) or are you just vacationing on the other side of the world ?

Yes on Stockcharts you can go back about 40 days +/- on intra day, depending on what time frame you're looking at, longest on 60 min, shortest on 1 min.  For the chart on IPT I couldn't get anything shorter than the 10 min chart, just too far back.  Then what I do is just use the start end date under the chart attributes which works even in the intra day mode.  Now you can only get whole days.

Hope that gives you the idea, also agree Iona looking very interesting on both the weekly and daily, thanks

Its actually only 2:58 am when i posted yesterday  ;D  I don't really have regular hours - just scan for stocks when I feel up to it... try and come up with 1 or 2 really good ideas/trades.

Today I found MORN - excellent LT and short term chart. Will also be buying between $48-50 if i get the opportunity... Full analysis coming tomorrow/

Secondly, ISNS - again on a good pullback -nice looking chart, but we will put that one in the back pocket for now. MORN and IONA for now.

Oh and BTW - thanks for the help with the intraday chart/ range dude!  ;)
