The Futures -  09:00 am : S&P futures vs fair value: -0.7. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: -1.2.  Stage remains set for the cash market to begin the week in lackluster fashion. The absence of notable economic data this morning to set a more definitive tone to trading may also be stalling early market action following Friday's impressive performance. On Friday, the stock market took a bullish cue from bond traders on the inflation front, as the 10-yr note rose 10 ticks and knocked the yield down to 5.10%. Today, the 10-yr note is unchanged and expected to remain in a holding pattern until Wednesday's FOMC meeting.

possible play today from our portfolio:

NSTC - we bought @ 11.71.. it is down for having met estimates on its earnings but these earnings were solid!  an over-reaction that would make for a good swing or a day-trade  ;)  Check it out!

Hey G, Take a look at GZPN.  Looks like a slow increase in volume and alot of accumilation.  On or before the 14th they are coming out with thier filing and a planned move to otcbb (which we all now gives stocks a kick in the a$$).  Here is the news from thier website http://www.greenzap.com/newz-item.asp?id=19.  Chart looks like it could be poised for a good run.  What do you think?

G--Help!

I'm stuck in NDOL--down 50% today on PR of merger rather than an expected buyout announcement at $2.17

If I was crazy enough to try to double down, where would you suggest?

Hi G,

What do you think about NBR, TIE, FTI and RATE - to buy in a IRA account?

Some time can you suggest some stocks for the IRA portfolio for the long term?

thanks
Lalitha

Hi G-

Hope you had a great weekend.

FLSH & SATC

thx Adam, hope u did too

FLSH - i guess you like this stock.. since you ask about it every day, lol :D... it looks nice I wonder what it will do with 37.16(52-week resistance) climbing on low volume

SATC - very nice looking.. support in place.. moving with volume.. we will see this much higher in the coming weeks  ;)

LBIX - consolidating ok after that nice jump up.. wish volume was a bit higher but price hasn't detiorated that much.. stop 3.2 you should be set

DPII - volume has picked up recently, mvg avg support below.. just the 200ma in the way.. but i like it.. no need to let this go lower than 2.40

PKCY - selling off today.. this company can really take off if they hit their estimates.. recent heavy volume.. would wait for a reverse before buying.. although it could be quick so watch close

I hope so.. although this move down is viscious.. this is the area where the run started before so lets see support come in.

GZPN a pinksheet penny needs to have constant volume in the millions for me to be interested.. but the story looks nice.. so I will keep on watch.. thx higher  ;)

Hey G,

Haven't been around here in a while, but always good!!

Wondering what you thought of GIGM's pullback pre-earnings.  Sold half at 10.30, but sitting on the other half reasonably comfy.  Maybe time to put the other half back in again?

NDOL - sorry to hear garym..i have not been following the story here but perhaps let things quiet down first.. let the panic run its course just to be certain you have a bottom.. technically this level looks ok for a buy but maybe .50 will present itself.. so just relax and let it settle  :)

Lalitha

NBR - decreasing volume here, may be setting up for a move down
TIE - great long-term trend... volume steadily increases.. looks great
FTI - another nice trend.. may consolidate b4 breaching 60
RATE - nice trend.. but due for consolidation.. especially after that volume spike

Long-term is not really my thing lalitha.. but check into BHP

Hey, Elite-G:

Can you give me yr opinion on CUP and INSM

THX

jorgegr

CUP - I like this stock but I would wait on a buy for a breakout, a strong move to $4.. copper prices continue to rise.. i see a gap up in copper prices on Friday.. that gap may slow down copper momentum

INSM - quiet volume so uninteresting here.. but I would watch this stock for a buy in the future since it is basing nicely above the 200

G,
What are your thoughts on CHID today. Is it still safe to enter here?
Thanks

CHID - very nice stock.. yes safe to buy here imo since fundamentals really back this one up.. but see if the price could fall back anymore.. absolutely fine to buy on a breakout move as well..

GV could test $2 level.. but the volume pace is nice so I doubt it what could affect this is if the market heads down as well.. still this remains a great stock.. lets see if it can recover today

GIGM - may make a bottom today.. support from gap at 8.5.. nice volume.. as long as you have a nice stop I think this is a good play  ;)

Hi G.
I still hold HEC and AMEP and wonder what do you see for those oil companies.
Oil currently down but I don't expect it down for much longer. Of course, you never know.

BHIP.  Sales of $133 million in 2004,  $63 million in 2003, $39 million in 2002.  Market cap is $47 million and sitting on $28 million in cash with virtually no debt.  Way down from 52 week high, but spiked on Friday.  What am I missing - this looks pretty solid????

HEC - rough move.. will this day recover into a hammer.. hard to say.. volume pace is ok.. wish there was even more.. the thing is this technical pattern is still solid but you have to decide where you want to pull the plug.. and thats the toughest thing to do in trading

AMEP - volume is sleepy.. may be setting up for a quick move down if people panic on oil but again this pattern remains ok.. still no need to hold until its moving back up..

NLST -  apinksheet that has potential  ;)  good eye Vova!.. love the volume and price shape here.. it is risky but if you are strict with your exit plan could be hugely profitable.. a quick 100% move from here (to.40) definately doable  8)

HQSM - I like the story and fundies on this stock.. volume is not there yet.. so I would watch closely

Already did GIGM  ;)

BHIP - the market says you are missing something  ;) and its always right so let it be and move on.. but keep an eye on in case the pattern begins to agree  :)

TGC - may need to build a base to surpass 2.. as it seems to be having trouble.. I do not know the story behind it but technicals still show strength.. perhaps wait and see if today can recover

BLDV - nice sustained volume for 2-3 weeks now.. breakout on heavy volume today.. i would just urge caution because its a pinky but its good to go.. good eye catrader   8)

CHU off and running with no news.. volume seems extreme so it may exhaust itself out but you cant argue with the trend.. its a strong move.

What are your thoughts on VRDM and PKCY?
VRDM has been down 10% continuously day after day these few days. Should I hold until the next natural gas run up? or is the chart looking grim?

PKCY seems like a legit company but it was over hyped when I bought into it, seems to be on the decline back to proper value. Any hints to what will happen based on the chart?

Thanks

VRDM - I dont like olding pennies when they are trying to find support so why not buy when it swings back up strongly  ;)

PKCY - technically this level looks like a great reverse support zone.. if only the volume was higher I could be more confident in that but still .075 could prove to be bottom  ;)

Right now it's struggling with resistance @ 2.30 but it has some  good support from the moving averages just below! Could go either way imo ... :-\

TMTA - this pattern may be worth holding on to.. although earnings can go either way.. if you have a nice gain you can always wait for a setup after earnings

ARTX - still awaiting that volume to create a pop.. it may never happen
VPHM - what goes down heavy and gaps heavy.. can continue.. i am not convinced yet
WDPT - if you can wait this one out it should be very rewarding.. light volume sucks though.. amex listing coming up soon may help.
MSON - low volume.. uninteresting till that changes
