PTSC traded a number of 300k, 400k, 500k and a 1 million share trades on Friday with no news.  So who knows something?  Perhaps it is Intel or perhaps AMD hedging their self interest.  Perhaps someone else.

The stock closed strong with nice volume into the close and on the high of the day .... a Friday before a three day weekend !!!  That is a time when most traders want to take profits not open new large positions.  PTSC has had 50 percent moves up from this level in the last six months.  Is this show time once again?   ???

A very possible play on volatility on Tuesday.  The 50dma was breached on Fridays close. The five minute candlestick chart shows two distinct moves on Friday.

Thanks for the pick !

It's a penny, so caveat emptor, nice vol and candle Friday, entering resistance area, if it clears $0.125 then gap to $0.17 and spikes above up to $0.29 are in play.

More news out Yesterday................

SAN DIEGO, Jun 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC, Trade), a high-tech intellectual properties company working in the advanced microprocessor field, has named long-time board member David H. Pohl to the newly-created position of Chairman, CEO and President of Patriot Scientific.

"With the recent excitement surrounding our powerful new marketing opportunity created by our alliance with the TPL Group," Pohl said, "and with the revenue foundation that the new agreement provides for us to build upon -- we want to continue to move forward in achieving success and increase of shareholder value. This company is now poised and positioned to aggressively commercialize and license our valuable intellectual property portfolio."

Pohl will lay a foundation for future business by working closely with the Board to refine and implement the Board's vision in a forward-looking and comprehensive business plan, one that redefines the company and focuses Patriot on a number of future revenue opportunities. In assuming this new leadership role, Pohl draws on years of experience with Patriot, as well as decades of experience guiding new - often high-technology - business ventures. Pohl was most recently Of Counsel with the Encinitas, based law firm of Herold & Sager and was at one time a senior attorney with the large, prestigious national firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, Ohio. He has served on Patriot's Board since 2001, and before that, served as a strategic business consultant for the firm. From 2001 to 2002, Pohl served as Vice President of Administration and Corporate Secretary for Patriot. As Board Chairman, Pohl replaces former Chairman Don Bernier, who resigned from the Board in December 2004.

Several recent and significant changes inspire this energized new direction. These include the company's first-ever profitable quarter this year, providing business development resources not previously available. Adding to that is a dramatic new agreement, announced last week, with The TPL Group, bringing to an end years of bitter legal disputes over the ownership of seven core-technology microprocessor patents. In addition, Patriot recently received independent validation of the performance of two new ultra-low-power array microprocessor technologies, IGNITE(TM) and INFLAME(TM). Taken together, these dramatic market changes prompted the Board's actions, creating an opportunity to move Patriot in a vigorous new marketplace direction.

"The agreement with the TPL Group last week changed the map for Patriot Scientific," Pohl explained. "Instead of our resources being caught up in litigation - and our being known as 'that little guy who's suing all the big guys,' we are now once again what we had always intended to be - an aggressive, innovative and dynamic intellectual properties company focusing on the international microprocessor and wireless market. Patriot is now anticipating a strong revenue stream that will enable it to focus its resources on effectively analyzing, developing and commercializing applications based on its patent portfolio, as well as on related business opportunities."

Patriot Scientific CEO and President Jeff Wallin and CFO Lowell Giffhorn have left the Company although Giffhorn remains on the Board.

"Our previous management performed well in a very difficult environment; in doing so, they helped the company during some demanding times," Pohl said. "However, our new opportunities require us to refocus Patriot Scientific, and the Board felt that a new and different management style was in the best interest of both the Company and our shareholders. Patriot Scientific will have a newly-focused business strategy, and it was the Board's opinion that new leadership will be required to see that strategy through. This is likely to include adding some new directors to enhance our current Board."

Most recently at Herold & Sager, and during the past decade, Pohl advised clients on legal and financial issues as well as strategic considerations affecting business and marketing decisions; created licensing agreements and dealt with strategic intellectual property issues for software manufacturing and sales. In addition he worked with the licensing of rights to use proprietary technology for telecommunications, marketing and e-commerce companies.

Pohl has a strong background in areas of financial corporate governance and leadership in entrepreneurial organizations, with specific focus on corporate financial responsibility, as well as business acquisitions. In the height of the last decade's high-technology growth Pohl served as Special Counsel to the Attorney General of Ohio. In that role, he advised the state's elected leaders on issues regarding entrepreneurial investments by state pension funds. Based on his leadership role and experience in financial services and governmental affairs, he has testified before Congress on behalf of the American Financial Services Association and helped to shape lending laws and regulations at both the state and Federal levels.

Previously Pohl helped lead members of publicly-traded Security Pacific Financial (now part of Bank of America) and the Gibraltar Financial Group (OTC.GFCN.PK) - both as they evolved out of traditional industry roles and into more multi-market financial organizations.

In a move to vigorously reach out to potential technology and applications partners, Pohl and the Board have retained Attention, a high-tech public relations/marketing communications firm.

"Attention has a reputation for 'getting the word out,' as well as showcasing companies to editors and reporters in the press," Pohl explained. "With their innovative media relations programs, Attention will help us elevate both public and media awareness of Patriot - and of our intellectual property product lines. At the same time that Attention is helping shape our market image and position, micro-cap experts at Hawk & Associates will continue to provide us invaluable investor-related support."

hI,

Good value...

fundamentals :
Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB:PTSC) has emerged as an effective and dynamic intellectual property company, developing and marketing innovative and proprietary semiconductor technologies. The company's portfolio of proprietary designs encompasses what is believed to be fundamental ultra-low-power array microprocessor technology, as well as pending patents designed to protect Patriot's proprietary technology and architecture.

Patriot Scientific Technologies increased 22% from its yesterday close of $0.095. It was an active day in trading for the company as it experienced a higher than average day in volume with more than 9 million shares changing hands. Recent development of this action stems from an announcement made by the company that they entered into a $10 million dollar licensing agreement with Intel Corporation to provide Intel with licensed access to Patriot's suite of patents.

According to statements made in Patriot's most recently-issued 10-Q, these patents represent the fundamental core technology behind virtually every microprocessor manufactured since 1995. Earlier in 2005, Patriot Scientific had previously licensed this same technology to Advanced Micro Devices Incorporated. With the signing of these licenses, which resulted in aggregate revenues of approximately $13 million, Patriot does not need to rely upon equity and other types of financing to fund its operations - as it has in the past which is positive news for investors.

Patriot's patented intellectual property is used in a wide variety of end-user products including personal computers, servers, workstations, home theater systems, digital TVs, video games, DVD Recorders/Players, mobile handsets and automotive electronics. Global sales of end products deploying chips using technologies protected by these jointly held patents are estimated to be greater than $200 billion annually. In addition to these licensing and joint venture operations, Patriot is engaging industry technical and marketing experts to evaluate Ignite- the company's small, high-speed, low-power consumption microprocessor - and Inflame, its dramatic array microprocessor technology.

Patriot's Chairman, CEO and President David Pohl go on to explain, "We believe these agreements represent continued legal and marketplace validation of Patriot's position that our patented intellectual property has been - and is being - infringed upon by major microprocessor manufacturers, as well as by their OEM clients. Based on current projections, our licensing revenue in Q1 should provide us with the full level of anticipated operating capital needed to support our operations during all of FY 2006."

In addition, during Q1 2006, Patriot also entered into a series of agreements with The TPL Group

Patriot Scientific Corporation Announces Unprecedented Microcap Dividend
Tuesday February 14, 9:42 am ET

SAN DIEGO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2006--In a move virtually unprecedented among Microcap stocks, Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB: PTSC.OB - News) - a high-tech intellectual properties Company that specializes in developing and licensing high-performance ultra-low power microprocessor technology - today announced that it will issue a cash dividend of $0.02 per share of common stock for shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of February 24, 2006. The dividend is payable March 22, 2006.

This dramatic announcement follows closely on the heels of the Company's announcement last week of a buy-back program for up to 20 million stock warrants and the conversion and retirement of all outstanding debentures. Final information as to the number of shareholders and outstanding shares will be provided by the Company's transfer agent as of the record date, but based upon current information and estimates the Company will set aside funds of approximately $7million or more for payment of the dividend from its currently available cash and cash equivalents that amount to approximately $17 million.

This announcement is especially significant because - until less than 12 months ago - Patriot had never shown a quarterly profit, and had never realized significant revenue from its 10-patent portfolio of seminal microprocessor innovations. Since February of last year, the Company's jointly owned patent portfolio has been successfully licensed to Intel, HP and AMD - in the process, generating nearly $24 million in revenue for Patriot. Based on these licenses and other key factors covered in recent SEC filings, Patriot Scientific currently has a market cap of approximately $64 million dollars.

With these successful license negotiations as precedent, the Company - through its marketing alliance with The TPL Group's Alliacense division, - is actively and confidently negotiating for licenses with other U.S. and foreign companies whose products include high speed microprocessors - more than 150 of which were put on notice of likely infringement - and that includes practically every high-tech consumer electronics manufacturer and systems integrator in the global marketplace.

"We are pleased to be in the strong financial position that enables us to offer our loyal shareholders this significant dividend," said David H. Pohl, Chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific. "The Company strongly believes that more licensing deals and related revenues are likely, although none are assured," Pohl continued. "Patriot Scientific's Board of Directors will consider and decide whether to take such dividend payment actions in the future, based on future revenues and the financial condition of the Company, as well as market conditions and other factors."

Pohl also said that, "This dividend payment, which is rare in the arena of microcap companies, is another important step toward evidencing Patriot Scientific's current financial strength and the fact that the Board and management firmly believe in the Company's future potential. During the past 12 months, the Company has undergone significant changes in management and operating strategy. As a result of those changes and the licensing revenues related to our jointly owned patent portfolio we are now in a favorable cash position, and we are using some of that cash to pay out our first-ever dividend to shareholders."

The action by Patriot Scientific to issue this dividend - and also last week's decision to retire the debentures and buy back what could amount to up to approximately 20 percent of the Company's total outstanding stock warrants at this juncture - were driven by the same impetus that has guided other strategic re-organizational moves that began in 2005. Last year the Company changed both its executive team and the Company's strategic direction, including the signing of a significant agreement with The TPL Group regarding joint ownership and marketing of its patent portfolio.

Patriot Scientific received licensing revenues of $13 million in 2005. The Company received distribution of an additional $10 million in January of 2006 as a result of a license transaction with systems manufacturer HP regarding Patriot's jointly owned patent portfolio.

"The far-reaching changes in 2005 helped pave the way for new growth-oriented initiatives in 2006," Pohl said. "These changes are positive for Patriot. We continue to move forward with the paramount goal of enhancing shareholder value by prudently addressing Company fundamentals and growing the business."

Press Release   Source: Patriot Scientific Corporation

Patriot Scientific Announces Important Patent Licensing Agreement with Casio
Wednesday February 22, 9:30 am ET
Casio Joins HP as Second "System" Manufacturer to Recognize Need for Digital Hardware Manufacturers to Purchase License for MMP(TM) Core Microprocessor Technologies

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2006--Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC.OB - News) today announced that Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has become the second system manufacturer to purchase a license to use intellectual property protected by the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio. Patriot and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which is being exclusively managed by Alliacense, a TPL Group enterprise.

Following a similar agreement reached with Hewlett-Packard last month, today's announcement further substantiates the need for modern hardware manufacturers to secure MMP Portfolio licenses to cover the entire spectrum of their digital product lines. Terms of the Casio license were not disclosed.

"This marks yet another important license confirming the significance of the patents in our valuable jointly owned portfolio," said Patriot's Chairman and CEO David Pohl. "We are pleased that this licensing decision by Casio represents another notable step toward creating added value for our shareholders."

"The intellectual property represented by the MMP Portfolio, and protected around the world, encompasses building blocks for virtually all digital products being designed and shipped today," said Mac Leckrone, Alliacense president. "The depth and breadth of digital products exploiting MMP Portfolio design techniques is remarkable. We routinely find these techniques used in devices ranging from simple TV remote controls to sophisticated medical diagnostic equipment - from portable media players to complex internet 'backbone' hardware. Today's automobiles have dozens of such devices."

Leckrone noted that once digital hardware vendors recognize their broad reliance on the intellectual property protected by the MMP Portfolio, they appreciate the critical need to secure continued access to the fundamental MMP technologies. "System-level coverage is essential to maintaining product design freedom and avoiding supply-chain disruptions," he explained. Alliacense also offers simple, royalty-free licenses to all semiconductor sector operations, worldwide.

Leckrone confirmed that the MMP Portfolio Licensing Program rewards first movers in their industry sectors with substantial discounts. "By design, our licensing structure enables nimble and forward-thinking system manufacturers to disadvantage their competitors."

Dramatic Turn-Around

"The Alliacense team continues to produce results that increasingly confirm our confidence in their effective strategies and focused efforts," noted Pohl. "The revenues we have realized from licenses to this point along with other recent actions by the company have resulted in significant fiscal strengthening of Patriot Scientific. All of this is consistent with our paramount goal of enhancing shareholder value by growing the business and prudently addressing company fundamentals."

Patriot Scientific's market cap reached a level of more than $185 million as of the close of trading on February 21, 2006 -- having soared upward from $25 million in less than a month.

Two weeks ago, Patriot Scientific announced it would retire all outstanding debentures along with the signing of an agreement giving it the option to buy back what could amount to up to approximately 20 percent of the Company's total outstanding stock warrants. Last week, in an action which is virtually unprecedented among microcap stocks Patriot announced that it would pay a cash dividend to shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of February 24, 2006.

Until mid-2005, Patriot had never before shown a quarterly profit, and had never before realized significant revenue from its seminal microprocessor innovations. However, in the past year, the Company's jointly owned patent portfolio has been successfully licensed - through its marketing alliance with The TPL Group's Alliacense division - to Intel, HP and AMD. These first licensing agreements, in their initial disbursements, have generated more than $25 million in revenue for Patriot.

According to Leckrone, the purchase of MMP System Licenses by global system manufacturers such as HP and Casio has increased MMP licensing momentum. He reports that of the hundreds of companies Alliacense has contacted worldwide, dozens have begun to seek licensing arrangements. "The competition for early-round berths in many key market sectors is becoming intense."

I sold my PTSC on Wednesday for another 178% profit... That's pretty nice!

People (and by that I mean eliteG  ;) ) are talking about a pullback.  It started today with PTSC closing down 16.5%.  I'm hoping to get back in for a thrid time somewhere around 0.60-0.65.

Someone on elite's thread (I will give credit when I go check the thread) compared SUWN and PTSC's chart.  They do look alike! Let's keep our fingers crossed for another run like that.

fyi:
Patriot Scientific stock soars on licensing deal
Thursday , February 23, 2006 14:13 ET

By Bradley J. Fikes

Feb 23, 2006 (North County Times - Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News via COMTEX) -- RANCHO BERNARDO -- Shares of Patriot Scientific Corp. jumped 52 percent Wednesday after the company announced a patent licensing agreement for its microprocessor technology.

Patriot stock closed at 91 cents per share, a gain of 31 cents for the day. At that price, the company has added more than $90 million to its market capitalization, or total stock value. The current value is $276 million.

The agreement, with Casio Computer Corp., allows the company to use intellectual property that Patriot claims under its Moore Microprocessor Patent portfolio. A similar agreement with Hewlett-Packard was announced last month.

Microprocessors are ubiquitous in electronic equipment, and Patriot said it expects to get revenue from licensing the technology.

By getting large companies such as Casio and Hewlett-Packard to license the technology, Patriot may establish a precedent to get easier acceptance of its patent claims.

"The intellectual property represented by the MMP Portfolio, and protected around the world, encompasses building blocks for virtually all digital products being designed and shipped today," David Pohl, Patriot's chairman and chief executive, said in a Wednesday news release announcing the Casio deal.

Earlier in the day, the stock had briefly exceeded $1 per share, a price that it had not closed above since February 2001. The stock skidded sharply after that, closing as low as 3 cents per share in October 2004. The stock was still trading below a dime per share as recently as Jan. 12.

The Casio agreement appears to have piqued investor interest because it's the second such agreement, said Pattric J. Rawlins, an intellectual property attorney in the San Diego office of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. Rawlins said he owns "a little bit of stock in Patriot."

Often, the first agreement on a license is made at a discounted rate, Rawlins said. "When other big players start lining up ... the industry takes notice."

Rawlins agreed with Patriot that the company's patent claims are far-reaching, covering "the basic building blocks of digital processors."

"Very few patents have ever really dominated an industry," Rawlins cautioned. But if Patriot's claims are accepted, the company would have a powerful position in microprocessors, he said.

But Rick Mayes, a fee-only financial adviser in Carlsbad, said the potential for future gains is limited because so many Patriot shares have been issued.

Patriot has about 300 million shares outstanding, an unusually large number for a company of its market value. In financial jargon, this means that Patriot stock is highly diluted. By comparison, San Diego's Qualcomm Inc., with six times as many shares outstanding as Patriot, has a market value 282 times greater.

"If you buy a lottery ticket, you could win tens of millions. A share of Patriot could bring you 10 bucks. Either could be suitable for framing on your wall if they don't pan out," Mayes said. "As a fundamental investment, I think only patent attorneys should invest.

"The company said in November of '04 that its patents have a value of more than $1 billion. If that's true and the company got $1 billion tomorrow, that would be a cash value of between $3 and $4 per share," Mayes said.

"However, they do have a countersuit from 20 Japanese companies challenging the validity of their patents, so the road could be a little rocky. If they do run into major problems, the stock could also be worth what it was a month ago."

Patriot Scientific Announces Breakthrough Patent Licensing Agreement with Fujitsu
Thursday March 2, 9:02 am ET
Fujitsu Joins Global Giants HP, Casio, Intel and AMD in Recognizing Need to License MMP(TM) Core Microprocessor Technologies

SAN DIEGO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 2006--Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC.OB - News) today announced that Fujitsu Limited has become the latest global system manufacturer to purchase a license to use intellectual property protected by the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio. Patriot and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which is being exclusively managed by Alliacense, a TPL Group enterprise. This license represents a settlement of patent disputes between Fujitsu and the owners of the MMP Portfolio.

In striking this licensing agreement, Fujitsu joins Casio, Hewlett-Packard, AMD and Intel in licensing Patriot's core patents impacting virtually every microprocessor manufactured since 1994. Casio struck its licensing deal last month, HP signed a licensing agreement in January, and both AMD and Intel negotiated licenses in 2005. Terms of the Fujitsu license were not disclosed.

Fujitsu had been one of four major Japanese electronics manufacturers against whom broad-based patent infringement claims had been filed last October by The TPL Group in the Federal District Court of East Texas on behalf of the MMP Portfolio. Today's announcement further substantiates the need for modern system manufacturers to secure MMP Portfolio licenses to cover the entire spectrum of their digital product lines.

"This major licensing agreement -- the third in just over a month -- marks yet another confirmation of the significance of the patents we jointly own." said Patriot's Chairman and CEO David Pohl. "We are pleased that this decision by Fujitsu represents yet another notable step in our ongoing effort to realize the monetary value of our portfolio for the benefit of our Company and ultimately our shareholders."

"The Fujitsu, Intel, AMD, HP and Casio licensing agreements set a strong precedent for more than 150 other high tech manufacturers that were notified in 2004 that they were infringing upon our patents and were invited to obtain appropriate licenses," Pohl noted.

"Our Licensing Program rewards first movers in their industry sectors with substantial discounts," said Mac Leckrone, President of Alliacense. "By design, our licensing structure enables nimble and forward-thinking system manufacturers to disadvantage their competitors." He confirmed that Alliacense has contacted hundreds of system manufacturers around the globe, and that competition for early-round licensing berths in key market sectors has become intense.

According to Leckrone, whose firm exclusively markets the MMP Patent Portfolio on behalf of Patriot Scientific, the broad range of system-level digital products exploiting MMP Portfolio design techniques is extensive. In addition to computers and related hardware, consumer electronic products ranging from televisions, digital cameras and portable music players, high-tech medical equipment, office automation products, aerospace and even automotive electronics systems are all designed with multiple semiconductor devices that use MMP Portfolio technologies.

"Once digital hardware vendors recognize their broad reliance on the intellectual property protected by the MMP Portfolio, they appreciate the critical need to secure continued access to the fundamental MMP technologies," Leckrone noted. "System-level coverage is essential to maintaining product design freedom and avoiding supply-chain disruptions."

Patriot's Dramatic Turn-Around Continues

"This strategically significant licensing agreement with Fujitsu further validates our confidence in the superb Alliacense team of licensing professionals. The financial benefits we have realized as a result of their Olympic-quality representation have made a major contribution to the fiscal strengthening of Patriot Scientific," said Pohl.

Patriot Scientific's market cap reached a level of $364.14 million as of the close of trading on March 1, 2006 -- having soared upward from $25 million in just over a month.

Last month, Patriot Scientific announced it would retire all outstanding debentures -- along with the signing of an agreement giving it the option to buy back what could amount to up to approximately 20 percent of the Company's total outstanding stock warrants. Additionally -- in an action which is virtually unprecedented among microcap stocks -- Patriot announced that it would pay a cash dividend of $.02 per share to shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of February 24, 2006. This payment will be issued on March 22, 2006.

These first licensing agreements have generated disbursements to Patriot of more than $25 million. Revenues from the recent Casio and Fujitsu licenses have not yet been disclosed.

A real performance & a lot of fuel  -----> PTSC.ob

PTSC went from 0.10 to $1.96 that's a 1,860%  in just 2 months

Very rich in 2 months... is there someone here who held it from 0.10 until now who bought lot of shares?
Raise your hand, i will give you millions of applauds ;) :D ;D

For the six months ended 30 November 2005, Patriot Scientific Corp.'s revenues totaled $10M, up from $21K. Net income totaled $3.2M, vs. a loss of $2.2M. Revenues reflect increased revenues from licenses and royalties. Net income reflects lower unrealized losses on marketable securities, increased other income and decreased interest expense. The company is engaged in the development, marketing & sale of microprocessor technology.

Patriot Scientific Corporation Announces Second Cash Stock Dividend in Less Than a Month
Thursday March 9, 9:19 am ET
Annual Meeting and New Offices Also Announced

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2006--Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC.OB - News) today announced that it will issue yet another cash dividend for shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of March 31, 2006. This dramatic announcement follows closely on the heels of last month's announcement of the Company's first dividend payable on March 22, 2006. Patriot's earlier dividend was $0.02 per share - the new dividend is planned to be $0.04 per share.

The Company has been advised that it will likely receive the distribution of its share of the proceeds from recently announced patent portfolio license transactions by the end of March. Those transactions, announced within the past month, involved the Company's jointly owned Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio having been successfully licensed - through its marketing alliance with The TPL Group's Alliacense division - to Casio Computer Co. Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited.

The Company expects to pay the dividend in late April, with the exact date to be determined and announced. Final information as to the number of shareholders and outstanding shares will be provided by the Company's transfer agent as of the record date, but based upon current information and estimates the Company will set aside funds of approximately $15 million for payment of the dividend when distribution of its share of licensing proceeds is received.

"I am delighted to speak on behalf of the Board of Directors in announcing this planned dividend, which will be double the amount of the previously declared dividend," said Patriot Scientific's Chairman and CEO, David H. Pohl. "The timing and amount of the payment to dividend recipients is subject, of course, to the Company actually receiving our expected share of the proceeds from the licensing transactions," Pohl continued.

"This second dividend announcement in less than a month - something extremely rare in the world of microcap stocks - is yet a further important step toward evidencing the faith and belief of the Board of Directors and management of Patriot Scientific in the Company's current financial strength and future potential," said Pohl. "We are pleased to be able to continue rewarding loyal shareholders with this additional, and even more significant dividend." The Company strongly believes that more licensing transactions and related revenues are likely, although none are assured. As in the instance of announcing this increased dividend, Patriot Scientific's Board of Directors will continue to consider and decide whether to take such dividend payment actions in the future, based on future revenues and the financial condition of the Company, as well as market conditions and other factors.

Annual Meeting

The Company has scheduled the corporation's Annual Meeting for April 28, 2006 to be held in Carlsbad California. The site and time of the annual meeting will be announced at a later date. Patriot Scientific will mail a proxy statement to shareholders near the end of March indicating proposals upon which shareholders will be asked to vote.

New Offices

Patriot Scientific also announced it has relocated its offices to Carlsbad, California at 6183 Paseo Del Norte, Suite 180, Carlsbad, CA 92011.

Applaud Setravis, I am 100% in agreement with you on this one. Also add to it the 4 cent dividend. May be EPS on yahoo is not accurate, and hence P/E need to be adjusted accordingly.

I think any good news on more licenses and you will be licking your fingers. However, with such a case in hand there is still some possibility of MM moving out ppl by driving this stock temporarily down.

Go get 'em.

Talked to the company IR ( hawk associates):
They are aware of Berlin Stock Exchange and cannot do anything about delisting there.
No comments or speculation or consideration about going to more regulated exchange.

Also read the following analysis, so posting:
System manufactures Hewlett Packard, Casio and Fujitsu along with chip manufactures Intel and AMD*, have all recognized and voluntarily licensed PTSC's jointly owned MMP Portfolio of microprocessor design patents; for what I estimate to date, to be more than $80M.

PTSC has now elected to pay approx. $22M in direct cash dividends from their share of these licensing distributions with the announcement of the latest .04 cents per share dividend, coming just yesterday for shareholders of record on March 31, 2006. This $80M came from just five companies, who received "deep discounts" for being among the first in their sectors to sign. You don't have to be a mathematician to figure out what lies ahead with more than 150 additional companies on notice of which dozens are actively seeking licensing arrangements.

Approx. $50M of the MMP Portfolio revenues has come in just the last six weeks.

IMO: Each corresponding licensing contract will be made at an accelerated rate above the last with each exponentially increasing in value. However, to keep projections grounded lets just say the frequency and value of future contracts remain the same. $50M in 6 weeks from 3 companies $50M / 6 = $8.33M per week. $8.33M X 52 = $433M in annual revenue going forward. $433M / 2 (PTSC's share) = $216M from approx 26 companies, conservatively speaking. That would amount to one company signing every two weeks. Now should PTSC elect to distribute just half of these revenues as dividends; it would amount to more than .57 cents per share. Again, conservatively speaking on many levels. With NO debt and $216M in revenue, how could one interpret PTSC's value going forward.?

In comparison to some of the companies in the lucrative business of IP licensing; RAMBUS INC (NasdaqNM:RMBS) has had $157M in revenue for the trailing twelve months while carrying $160M in debt., yet RMBS market cap tops $3.16B, more than six times that of PTSC who has no debt. I believe at some point as more contracts roll in and the consequent revenue is recognized; PTSC's M/C will rival and surpass that of RMBS, even if PTSC realized just half of the above projections along with the recent contracts, (that would be approx. one contract a month).

To quantify in terms of price per share, $3.16B / 304M shares outstanding for PTSC = $10.40 PPS and up. Seeing is believing. Contracts mean revenues, and big revenues mean solid fundamentals creating an enormously undervalued property and colossal opportunity.

OK, so that is just one company.

Do you have any others?

I'm glad you asked.

How about ARM HLDGS ADS (NasdaqNM:ARMHY) although their revenues are $403M ttm., they are not exclusive to IP licensing so their profit margin is much lower. However, this company is very healthy with $279M in cash, no dept. and unlike RMBS who cannot afford to pay a dividend, has a forward annual dividend rate of .04 cents. (PTSC has annouced .06 cents in dividends in just the last month) ARMHY has a considerably higher amount of shares outstanding (477M O/S) than PTSC (304M O/S) So, again in comparison to PTSC in quantifying in terms of PPS. ARMHY M/C is $3.29B divided by PTSC O/S of 304M = $10.82 PPS. This, of course is all relative and contingent upon PTSC securing licensing contracts. Note: All this number crunching has been calculated without the influence of ongoing royalties. Incidentally, if RMBS and ARMHY have not already been notified of infringement of the MMP Portfolio, then they most certainly will be on the next list of 150 companies to be notified. I'm not saying that PTSC should be worth $10.00+ right now. What I am saying is that it could be in very short order and will be in due time. Or on the other hand they could license half the 150 notified companies inside of two or three months and all figures are out the window. In which case you are quite welcome to wear out a truck load of #2 pencils trying to figure out what value PTSC is then. Just my .o2 cents, or should I say .o6... cents.

About Patriot Scientific

Patriot Scientific (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC.OB - News) has emerged as an effective and dynamic intellectual property licensing Company, developing and marketing innovative and proprietary semiconductor technologies. The Company's jointly owned portfolio of proprietary designs encompasses fundamental microprocessor technology, as well as pending patents designed to protect Patriot's proprietary technology.

Global sales of end products deploying chips using technologies protected by the jointly owned patents are estimated to be nearly $260 billion annually. Products ranging from televisions, digital cameras and portable music players to servers, medical equipment, and even automotive electronics systems -- are all designed with multiple semiconductor devices that use MMP Portfolio technologies. In light of the early validation of MMP Portfolio by marquee chip-makers Intel and AMD in 2005, MMP licensing efforts are now focused on global system manufacturers.

"The Fujitsu, Intel, AMD, HP and Casio licensing agreements set a strong precedent for more than 150 other high tech manufacturers that were notified in 2004 that they were infringing upon our patents and were invited to obtain appropriate licenses," -- David H. Pohl, Patriot Scientific's Chairman and CEO.

I think for a TA's perspective, it's fair to say today was a key reversal day, with support found at the uptrending line when you join the lows from the past 1 - 2 months.

Volume was very good, especially towards the last hour when there was unprecedented buying at and above the "ask".

what do you guys think....MelfElf, Setravis, EliteG and other TA experts ??

Thanks.  :)

here is a chart for the last 1 month...nice bounce off of the 20 EMA seen today (and good support offered by the 20 MA in that range).

i think this is going higher tomorrow and until it tests the recent high.

Also, according to IR Hawk Associates, it doesnt make any material difference to company.

FACTUAL BACKGROUND
On December 23, 2003, Patriot Scientific Corporation ("Patriot") filed suit in the Northern
District of California accusing Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (''FMA'') of infringing U.S.
Patent No. 5,809,336 ('''336 patent'') (hereinafter, ''the Oakland action''). Around the same time,
Patriot separately filed suit against four other companies - Matsushita Electric Company of America
(now known as Panasonic), NEC USA, Inc., Sony Corporation of America, and Toshiba America,
Inc. - in three other jurisdictions.
On February 11, 2004, the parties in these actions stipulated to consolidate these cases into
the Oakland action. Pursuant to the stipulation, each separately filed action was voluntarily
dismissed and Patriot filed a Consolidated Amended Complaint in the Oakland action.
At that time, it was not clear who was the rightful owner of the patent portfolio containing
the '336 patent. On February 13, 2004, Patriot filed a separate complaint in the Northern District of
California (Case No. 04-0618 (JF)) against TPL, Daniel E. Leckron, and Charles H. Moore (''the
Moore action'') seeking resolution of the ownership rights of the Moore Microprocessor Patent
(''MMP'') Portfolio. The MMP Portfolio included the '336 patent, as well as United States Patent
Numbers 6,598,148 (the '''148 patent''), and 5,784,584 (the ''584 patent''). Patriot also added TPL as
a defendant in the Oakland action.
On May 19, 2005, Judge Armstrong, who was presiding over the Oakland action, issued an
order inquiring whether the parties wanted to dismiss the Oakland action without prejudice pending
the resolution of the Moore action. Judge Armstrong's order required that, in the event that the
parties decided not to dismiss the Oakland action, the parties ''clearly identify the matters to be heard
by this Court and...provide the Court with a proposed scheduling order that sets forth the earliest
possible dates for discovery cut-off, motion cut-off, pretrial, and trial."
On June 7, 2005, Patriot and TPL settled their dispute and resolved the ownership of the
MMP Portfolio. Pursuant to the settlement, TPL maintained the complete and exclusive right to
license and enforce the MMP patents. In return, Patriot was to receive a share of the net proceeds.
Subsequent to the TPL-Patriot agreement, TPL engaged in settlement discussions with the
defendants in the Oakland action. TPL also sought and obtained a stay of litigation in order to

continue settlement discussions. As part of this effort, TPL and the defendants in the Oakland action
made several statements to the court in a Joint Case Management Conference Statement & Report
(''Joint CMC Statement'') dated June 29, 2005. TPL submitted the following:
''In addition, since TPL has only just now been placed in charge
of the infringement litigation, it is not in a particularly good position to
propose 'earliest possible dates for discovery cut-off, motion cut-off,
pretrial and trial.'
If the Computer Company Case has not been settled within 60
days, TPL will file a supplemental and/or amended pleading substituting
itself for Patriot, and propose appropriate dates for discovery cut-off,
motion cut-off, pretrial and trial....
In the same Joint CMC Statement, Panasonic and the other defendants stated:
''TPL has represented that it has just recently been placed in charge of
this infringement litigation and apparently needs time to make decisions
about how to proceed, including whether to seek leave to file a
supplemental and/or amended pleading substituting itself for Patriot
Scientific as the plaintiff.''
TPL later requested that the court again stay the Oakland action. In so doing, TPL
submitted similar statements as those above in a Joint CMC Statement and Report filed on
September 23, 2005. However, the court denied TPL's request and lifted the stay of the Oakland
action case.
On October 24, 2005, TPL filed a complaint for patent infringement in the Eastern District
of Texas (the "Texas action'') against Fujitsu Limited, Panasonic, NEC Corporation, Toshiba
Corporation, and 16 of their United States subsidiaries (collectively, ''the Texas Defendants'').
Among the Texas Defendants were all of the defendants involved in the Oakland action.2 The
complaint in the Texas action alleged infringements of the '336 patent, the '584 patent, and the '148
patent.
On October 24, 2005, the same day that TPL filed in Texas, Patriot dismissed its complaint
in the Oakland action. Subsequently, on November 28, 2005, Panasonic and MEI filed the instant
action (the "Panasonic action'') in the Northern District of California, seeking a declaratory
judgment of non-infringement of the same three patents currently at issue in the Texas action. That

same day, the other Oakland defendants filed their own declaratory actions in this district, resulting
in five separate actions filed against TPL on November 28, 2005.3
LEGAL STANDARD AND ANALYSIS
A. ''First to File'' Rule
Where a complaint involving the same parties and same issues has already been filed in a
different federal district, the court in which the second suit is filed may either transfer, stay, or
dismiss the second suit. Alltrade Inc. v. Uniweld Products, Inc., 946 F.2d 622, 625 (9th Cir. 1991).
The ''first to file'' rule normally serves the purpose of promoting efficiency and should not be
disregarded lightly. Church of Scientology of California v. United States Department of the Army,
611 F.2d 738, 750 (9th Cir. 1979). The concern is to avoid the waste of duplication, to avoid
rulings which may trench upon the authority of other courts, and to avoid piecemeal resolution of
issues that call for a uniform result. Colorado River Conser. Dist. v. United States, 424 U.S. 800,
818-820 (1976). In order to apply the rule, the moving party, usually the defendant, must satisfy
three factors: 1) the chronology of the two actions; 2) the similarity of the two actions; and 3) the
similarity of the issues. Alltrade, 946 F.2d at 625-626.
Here, the instant action involves the same issues and parties involved in the Texas action. In
both actions, the same parties dispute whether the same three patents have been infringed.4 TPL
initiated the Texas action on October 24, 2005, a full month before Panasonic initiated the instant
action. Absent any compelling exception to the general rule, this Court should grant deference to
the Texas court and allow that court to determine whether to try the case.
A court may determine not to follow the ''first to file'' rule when circumstances indicate bad
faith, anticipatory breach, or forum shopping. Alltrade Inc. v. Uniweld Products, Inc. 946 F.2d 622,
628 (9th Cir. 1991). The court is permitted an ample degree of discretion in determining whether or

6Panasonic relies on Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Research Ctr. v. United of Omaha Life Ins. Co., 821 F. Supp.
644 (D.Or. 1993), for the proposition that TPL is bound by Patriot's stipulation, enforceable under the doctrine of promissory
estoppel . However, Hutchinson is clearly distinguishable from the present case because the promise in that involved a third
party beneficiary to an agreement. Here, no such third party beneficiary exists, as Defendants were actual parties to their
agreement with Patriot, and were not third party beneficiaries to any explicit agreement between Patriot and TPL.
Accordingly, Panasonic's reliance on Hutchinson is misplaced.
7Case No. C03-5787 (SBA). Joint Case Management Conference Statement and Report, Filed 6/29/05. In this Joint
CMC Statement, TPL states: ''If the Computer Company Case has not been settled within 60 days, TPL will file a
supplemental and/or amended pleading substituting itself for Patriot, and propose appropriate dates for discovery cut-off,
motion cut-off, pretrial and trial.''
5
not to exercise an exception to the general ''first to file'' rule. Alltrade, 946 F.2d at 628 (citing
Ketrotest Manufacturing Co. v. C-O-Two Fire Equipment Co., 342 U.S. 180, 183-84 (1952).
Panasonic asserts that the Court should not follow the general rule because TPL acted in bad
faith by not complying with Patriot's stipulation in the Oakland action. In that agreement, Patriot
promised to prosecute it's patent infringement suit in the Northern District of California against
Panasonic and other entities.5 However, TPL was not a party to the Oakland action when Patriot
agreed to this stipulation. TPL only became a party in the Oakland action after Patriot's stipulation.
Furthermore, when Patriot amended its complaint to incorporate TPL into the Oakland litigation,
TPL was joined as an adverse party. Only subsequent to the amended complaint did Patriot and
TPL reach a settlement which aligned their interests. Since TPL was a separate entity and did not
agree to the terms and conditions of Patriot's sitpulation, TPL is not bound by Patriot's agreement.6
Panasonic next contends that TPL made misrepresentations to the Oakland court, and that
on this basis, the Court should not follow the ''first-to-file'' rule. Panasonic maintains that after the
TPL-Patriot settlement, TPL represented to Judge Armstrong that TPL would continue to litigate
the patent dispute in the Northern District. Panasonic alleges that the Oakland defendants relied on
TPL's representations, and that TPL acted in bad faith when it initiated the Texas action and
permitted Patriot to dismiss the Oakland action. Panasonic urges the Court to hold TPL to its
alleged promise. However, Panasonic overstates the scope of TPL's representations to the Oakland
court. Plaintiff relies on statements which appear as part of a request for a 60-day stay of
proceeding to pursue settlement discussions.7 This statement was not a promise that TPL would
unconditionally continue with the existing case, nor was it a promise that TPL would maintain any

8Judge Armstrong's Order, dated 05/19/2005, requests the ''parties provide the Court with a proposed scheduling
order that sets forth the earliest possible dates for discovery cut-off, motion cut-off, pre-trial and trial.'' Additionally, the
sentence immediately before TPL's statement at issue in the Joint Case Management Conference Statement and Report
(6/29/05) mentions Judge Armstrong's request.
9Case No. C03-5787 (SBA). Joint Case Management Conference Statement and Report, Filed 6/29/05.
6
future patent litigation in the Northern District. Rather, the statement was an acknowledgment of
Judge Armstrong's request for discovery cut-off dates8 and an assurance by TPL that the request
would be addressed after the stay. Furthermore, in the Joint CMC Statement, Panasonic and the
other defendants even recognized that TPL still needed time to determine ''whether to seek leave to
file a supplemental and/or amended pleadings substituting itself for Patriot.'' (emphasis added).9 At
the time, the parties had only recently determined that TPL was the owner of the patents at issue.
TPL, as a separate and independent entity from Patriot, had the right to prosecute its patents
infringement case in the manner and forum of its choosing. There is nothing before the Court to
suggest that TPL should be bound by Patriot's litigation decisions. Accordingly, the Court finds
that TPL did not misrepresent to Judge Armstrong that TPL would continue suit in the Northern
District.
Finally, Panasonic contends that the Court should decline to follow the ''first to file'' rule
because TPL forum shopped its case to the Eastern District of Texas. However, there is evidence
that TPL's decision was not based purely on forum shopping considerations. One of the inventors
of the patents at issue resides in Texas. Moreover, ''unless the balance [of private and public
interest factors] is strongly in favor of the defendant, the plaintiff's choice of forum should rarely be
disturbed.'' Gulf Oil Corp. v. Gilbert, 330 U.S. 501, 508 (1947). Defendant's alleged forum
shopping alone, without more, is not enough to compel the Court to disregard the first-to-file rule.
Plaintiffs have given the Court little reason to dispense with the ''first to file'' rule.
Accordingly, the Court will follow the rule and stay this action pending the outcome of the Texas
action.

Why Own PTSC

Facts:
1) PTSC owns 50% of the Patents (TPL owns the other 50%)
2) $260 billion industry (some argue more)
2) Royalties - unknown but assume a conservative 1%
- Admittedly PTSC may not sign every infringer but at the same time they are going to get a ton of cash from some others (i.e. RIMM and NTP - settlement $612.5 million).
Intel, AMD, HP, Casio, and Fujitsu have already singed agreements.
There are at least 150 companies infringing on their technology, but probably more.
4) Shares Outstanding - 400,000,000 w/ dilution

Formula:
2,600,000,000 (1% of the $260 billion industry)
Divide by 2 (PTSC gets half after splitting it with TPL)
= 1,300,000,000 (minimal expenses, mean it's basically all profit)
Divide by 400,000,000 (amount of shares w/ dilution)
= 3.25 per share
Multiply P/E of 20
$65/share

Why do I choose 20 for the P/E. The big positive cash flow companies that are mature MSFT, CSCO, YHOO, etc. hover a little over a multiple of 20. Realistically on its way up PTSC could easily justify a P/E of 100 or more because their revenue growth is explosive unlike the more mature companies. Over time the P/E would taper down. Even at a lousy P/E of 8, I come up with over $25/share. That doesn't factor in the fact that PTSC could actually make way more than my example of 1.3 billion dollars in royalties (again RIMM vs NTP settled for $612.5 million and that's only 1 darn company). At some point, probability says that at least few of these infringers will be paying RIMM type settlements.

WOW! It seems amazing every time I run through the numbers!

=================================================

the above may be an exaggeration...but even with 10% of the royalties listed in the above post, it'd still come to $6.50 pps with a P/E multiple of 20.

today's 3.30 pm court decision seems to have fuelled a lot of momentum today and this will definitely carry on tomorrow...this might run up very high considering that Texas is known to be a favorable case for those companies that own patents.

big day tomorrow, IMO.

good luck to those long on this one.

by the way, did u guys see the action on XSNX ?? that's a pretty powerful baby. played it just twice in the past for some measly profits considering today's high of day.

It seems like PTSC is backed by some excellent legal team and the way Fujitsu backed out it gives a clear signal that they have a very strong case. I see some more strong action in the stock but as usual one need to wear seat belt if you want to ride this roller coaster. I see it passing 2 in next week. I am long PTSC.

Another posting about Schwartz position from internet. Not my thinking, just collecting relevant information in one chain:

Definitive Swartz position explanation...
If this has been posted at another time today, please forgive me. Too many posts to sift through!
This was written by Agoracom board member, ronran, an insightful attorney and PTSC long time shareholder. This is a good read and puts perspective on the S/L position:

"s40.....
From ronran
PostID 461194 On Sunday, March 19, 2006 (EST) at 8:48:07 AM
Response To: s402005 PostID 461190

I see no reason why Mr. Swartz would have any interest in manipulating the stock price at this juncture, unless he has the power to raise it. In years gone by, the future of PTSC was much more uncertain than it is now --- although the company had several potential avenues to explore (and believe me, the long-timers here have seen them all), it had no real direction and no concrete business plan by which to make a profit. Thus, during those years, anyone in Mr. Swartz' position would naturally have looked only at the movement of the stock price, in and of itself, in order to make a return on the dollars that had been loaned to PTSC in order to keep the company alive.

Now, at least IMO, the situation has drastically changed. PTSC has a definitive plan and is executing same in textbook fashion --- the ''street level'' actions occur through the efforts of TPL, while David Pohl is doing an excellent job of managing things ''at home''. The company is profitable and even paying a dividend, and the business plan, which is, first, to collect from infringers, and second, to develop existing technology and perhaps acquire others, is literally at a ''tip of the iceberg'' stage. And quite significantly, Mr. Swartz has no longer has substantial debentures in place.

The point of all of the above is that I cannot see why anyone would want to be short PTSC right now --- and if one has no interest in being short, he must be long. It seems to me that Mr. Swartz has the chance here to make many (more) millions of dollars (anyone can do the math on this), with the company's financial prospects still in their infancy. Why would anyone in such a position not want the price to increase? I am not saying it is impossible, and I certainly am not the brightest guy out there, but it would take ''smarts'' that are well beyond my capacity.

Having said the above, does this mean that Mr. Swartz will not act in his own best interest? Of course not. I expect that he will sell off at the price increases --- just as I have been urging everyone here, including me, to do for a couple of years now. We certainly cannot expect that Mr. Swartz will hold his shares forever, just as none of us intends to do so. However, I continue to hope that Mr. Swartz will do his selling RESPONSIBLY (as he appears to have done over at least the last couple of months), so as not to, in effect, ''cap'' the price. That is all I have ever asked of him, i.e., I have repeatedly said that I do not care if he makes a bazillion bucks as long as the retail shareholders have the opportunity to make a good return on their investment. By getting rid of the debentures and taking a ''reporting level interest'' in PTSC, Mr. Swartz certainly appears to have acted in a responsible manner, which we all hope will continue.

In summary, PTSC is now a PERFORMING company, just as all of us, including Mr. Swartz, wanted it to be. I would never say that it is time now to just sit back and relax, but IMO, it is time to let the price go to whatever heights are possible while PTSC/TPL are in the driver's seat.

Good luck to all."

You may be right after looking at wide span chart.

Short term weekly charts, it shows volume dropping everyday by 50% compounded and PPS going down.

According to IBD and EliteG and technical traders rules: Such type of short term situation states: Stock has lost its interest in market and investors and traders have bailed out.

They have couple of dozens companies negotiating for early round of licencing. If there is news regarding any settlement with any major tech company ( Especially not Toshiba, Panasonic, Sony), it'll go higher.

One thing I learned in trading: There is no value of "if, but, when"  :)

Did anyone see 2 cents dividend in etrade account? It doesnt show up for me.

for those still in this...

a.) nice support at the 20 MA today, and the last 30 min. today was interesting, the stock drove up on pretty high volume and ended at $1.64 (high of day was $1.645).

b.) $1.75 is first resistance, I expect that to be tested as early as tomorrow, but that depends on volume early morning. a nice high volume to start the day off will be good for testing the resistance.

c.) the MACD is inching back up to positive territiory, I expect that to happen by Friday

d.) The RSI is trending back up - nice positive sign

e.) the stochastics are bullish for the short term atleast and I'm sure other chartists would agree on that  ;)

Lot of consolidation over the last 25 days or so sice the 52 week high was created. Most of the trading pattern has been between the $1.30 - 1.70 range. I'm quite satisfied with the amount of churning witnessed during this period, and would dare to bet that once MACD crosses over to positive territory, strong volume will see this stock do a "la XSNX" move right to the high $2's or may be better, depending on news of more settlements with big blue companies.

good luck everybody.  :)

Vic666

Thanks for your analysis. I am still in this stock but got tired of watching the stock staying flat, I sold some shares.

I sold this and bought GZFX yesterday and now I have a big loss in that.

Can you look at ADVC and tell me what you think about that. i have a few shares in that too.

Other than these I have ORA, ORCL, JDSU, CIEN, AMEP.OB, CMED which I am holding for the long term.

Thanks
Lalitha

Closed at 1.61 3 cents down from yesterday. Was today's rise fake? Ameritrade's charting shows equal amount of shares traded between 1.68 and 1.69, 1.65 - 1.66 and 1.61 and 1.62 range.

Thanks,

Looking at PTSC's chart,

a.) I'm holding my breadth to see MACD crossover that might happen in the next few days.

b.) The Bollinger bands are converging too; good sign of a strong move in either up or down direction in the next few days or so. my bet is it;s gonna be an up move because of the fundamental strenght of the stock of late and news about dividend payments still due, plus expectations of news related to more patent infringement settlements

c.) the full stochastics indicate positive divergence to me; meaning, price action seems to be lagging what the stochastics show...i.e an uptrend.

d.) volume has dried out significantly compared to 3 month ave. volume of around 9.5 million shares

e.) all indicators point to a breakout waiting to happen...as expected, $1.7 range proved tough to take out today and I attribute that to lack of volume (look at my post yesterday)

f.) $1.58 is the 20 MA and it has been offering constant support ovet the last few weeks.

All I'm waiting for is some news or an MACD crossover into positive territory; then its fireworks time.

Good luck!  :)

It seems to have lost direction. Management was active in releasing PRs in late Feb and early March and since havent given out any relevant news.

What happened to the couple of dozen companies, who were negotiating? Can we ask the company about them? Also, there should be PR regarding annual and quarterly performance as they have annual shareholder meeting on April 28?

Technically, I dont know if it is still a buy or shall a person wait to show some sustained bullish movement for couple of days. I appreciate the analysis done by vic. (applaud)

Comments!!!!

Also, same situation in picks of NIHK and BIGN. 3 ob/pk stocks and they are driving me nuts.  >:(

dhiraj...

I got in the mid 1.6's right as it broke out of $1.64 (see posts earlier)...as expected, the $1.7's proved as resistance...but I did look for support at the $1.6 - 1.64 level, if not that, I was looking for suppoer at the 20 MA...which barely broke thru' today.

I sold my small position at $1.58 for a loss, but that doesn't mean you should sell...

The next few days seem like things could either way (see my earlier post)...the B bands are converging pretty closely and it signals a strong move one way or the other....I just did not want to risk my trading capital and hance sold, but if you are well diversified, I suggest you add to your position if it falls and just wait this sideways pattern for now. the stochastics and MACD still look pretty positive to me.

hope this helps.  :)

Patriot Scientific To Now Focus On Outcome of Infringement Lawsuit in Texas
Friday March 17, 9:10 am ET
Northern California court grants TPL's motion to stay proceedings pending outcome of infringement proceedings against major Japanese manufacturers in Eastern District of Texas

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 2006--Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC - News), an intellectual property licensing company, today announced that the U.S. District Court of Northern California has stayed the declaratory judgment actions recently filed in that court against the TPL Group, a global intellectual property management company, and Patriot Scientific, et al, by major Japanese manufacturers. Further proceedings in the California actions were stayed pending outcome of TPL's earlier-filed action against those same companies in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas. This clears the way for the Texas court -- sometimes referred to as the "rocket docket" for its expeditious rulings in patent infringement cases -- to now take the lead in judging TPL's broad-based intellectual property claims for infringement of three of the 10 patents in the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio that is jointly owned by the TPL Group and Patriot Scientific.

"This ruling puts a halt to procedural maneuvering by the Matsushita, Panasonic, JVC, Toshiba, and NEC entities," said Dan Leckrone, chairman of the TPL Group. Leckrone noted that the Fujitsu entities -- who were also defendants in the Texas action -- have recently purchased a license under the MMP Portfolio, and have been dismissed from the Texas and California actions.

The validity of TPL's views regarding the scope of the MMP Portfolio has gained substantial momentum since marquee chip makers Intel and AMD purchased MMP licenses last year. Since the beginning of 2006, Hewlett-Packard, Casio Computer and Fujitsu have purchased MMP system licenses. TPL believes that the intellectual property protected by the MMP Portfolio is used in a wide variety of end-user products including personal computers, servers, workstations, home theater systems, digital TVs, video games, DVD Recorders/Players, mobile handsets and automotive electronics.

"The TPL Group continues to have our complete confidence as they proceed with their highly effective, exclusive management of our valuable jointly owned patent portfolio," stated David Pohl, chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific.

About the MMP Portfolio

The patent portfolio, marketed as the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) Portfolio, contains intellectual property that is jointly owned by publicly held Patriot Scientific Corporation and the privately held TPL Group. The portfolio encompasses seven U.S. patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts. Both TPL and Patriot assert that their jointly owned patents protect techniques used in designing microprocessors, microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processor (DSPs), embedded processors and System-on-Chip (SoC) implementations. The MMP Portfolio is exclusively managed by Alliacense, a TPL Group enterprise.

I don't think it has lost it's since of direction.
Maybe some consolidation, a rest area, a dip which is most likely a good buy point.
I think April is going to be a good month for PTSC and it's stock holders. JMHO, of course.

PTSC broke the 20 MA on Friday, which was offering support over the last few weeks. The only silver lining ot the breakdown was that volume was pretty low...(which means there is a chance it will jump back up the 20 MA, but only Monday's action will clearly tell us if the 20 MA is broken or not)

Assuming the 20 MA is broken, I think the next support level is $1.00 because of the following reasons:
a.) $1.00 was the high on Feb. 22, and short term reisstance before the break out to $2.20.
b.) Also, $1.00 would offer support as the 50 MA (which is currently at $0.88) would climb up to that level the next few days.
c.) Finally, $1.00 would also be a kinda psychological support level.

The MACD is tredning downwards in the -ve territory, and the stochastics as well as the RSI are pointing downwards...all of which lead me to believe a short term downtrend until support at $1.00

For comparison sake, check out what XSNX did after it broke out above $1.00, ran higher and started consolidating back in early Februaruy...once it broke the 20 MA to the downside, it found solid support at the 50 MA (with a bullish hammer formation on Feb. 14) after which it roared ahead to new highs.

I think we will see something similar with PTSC in the next week or so.  ;)

calven,

check my earlier post a couple of posts above....anyways, i was thinking $1.00 level would provide support...and that happened to be right on thursday...

but what i'm not encouraged about, inspite of the close above $1.00, is that:

1.) the volume on thursday was huge

2.) the RSI and stochastics as well as MACD show continuation of downtrend

Monday will be a very crucial follow through day to show what will be the short term direction....an engulfing white candle would be very bullish, or even a doji/hammer would be good...a sign of reversal so to say....otherwise, watch out for more downside until indicators point to a turn around.

here's a chart. good luck!  ;)

News this morning. CEO looks little bit aggravated in his statements:
Patriot Scientific Announces Proxy Mailing, Receipt of Casio Licensing Distribution
Monday April 17, 9:00 am ET
Extends Time for Filing 10-Q3

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2006--Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB: PTSC - News) today announced that the Company has received the distribution of its share of the proceeds from the previously-disclosed Casio license transaction. No further details of the licensing transaction were announced. To date, Patriot has received in excess of $38 million in distributions as its share of licensing revenues generated by its patent portfolio in slightly more than a year, including licenses with AMD, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu and Casio.

In addition, the Company's proxy statement has been filed, on schedule, with the Securities and Exchange Commission. This statement was mailed to shareholders last week, in advance of the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the La Costa Resort & Spa, 2100 Costa Del Mar Road in Carlsbad, California.

Patriot Scientific also announced that the Company filed for a five-day extension, as permitted by law, to complete its filing of its 10-Q for 3Q 2006. "This extension was filed to allow our financial team a few days of additional time they needed to adequately analyze appropriate accounting and disclosure of significant revenue from licensing transactions and other matters occurring during the quarter," said Chairman and CEO David H. Pohl. "We anticipate no difficulty with this filing, and fully intend to complete our filing on or before the slightly extended due date."

"We also realize that some shareholders get frustrated when there is a gap for a period of time as to announcements of new license transactions for our patent portfolio," Pohl said. "The Alliacense licensing team which manages our portfolio, which is jointly-owned and marketed as the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio, continues to diligently pursue negotiations with candidate companies. The nature of the process is such that it requires our patience because, as much as we and our shareholders might desire otherwise, the status and progress of negotiations must remain confidential, and license agreements are not consummated according to any regular or predictable schedule," he added. "We remain optimistic about our outlook, and we remain focused on maximizing the long-term value of our business for the benefit of our shareholders," Pohl said.

PTSC has had a pretty nive run today... up 39% to 1.20 so far
No news however, so I'm not sure what caused this. Maybe the fact that it was touching the 30 RSI line. I'm hoping for a close at or above 1.32 tomorrow
Title: Re: PTSC

agreed, real nice action on PTSC today...nice volume to back it up too! bravo to those who held during the last few days...i'm sure it was brutal, but I think the chart is pointing to better days ahead...the MACD is going back up from negative territory...the stochastics are very bullish, the RSI...we gotta wait and see how far it goes, or if RSI 50 is gonna prove as resiatnce...nevertheless, I think the trend is up and the close above 50 MA is bullish...

as always...good iead to wait for a follow-thru day tomorrow, for those still looking to get in and that includes me  ;) )

the chart seems to show resiatnce at $1.30 - 1.35 for two reasons:

a.) 20 MA

b.) downtrend line by joining tops at $2.20 and $1.70, formed approx. on March 7 and 29th respectively

good news today:
Patriot Scientific Corporation Announces Share Repurchase Plan, Strong Q3 Revenues; Portion of Future Revenues Allocated for Stock Buyback Monday , April 24, 2006 09:00 ET
CARLSBAD, Calif., Apr 24, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC) today announced a plan under which it would utilize 10 percent or more of future licensing revenues to buy back corporate stock. The Company also announced significant earnings results for its third fiscal quarter, as contained in its Form 10Q filed last Thursday, and confirmed that the previously announced cash dividend of $.04 per share is being issued today.
"The stock buyback plan adopted by the Board of Directors calls for management to use not less than 10 percent of future licensing revenue distributions received by the Company to purchase shares of our stock on the open market in a manner consistent with applicable securities laws and regulations," said David H. Pohl, Chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific. "These buybacks are, of course, subject to the Company determining at the time licensing revenue distributions are received that such action is prudent based upon market conditions and sound financial management considerations. Repurchased shares will be placed in our treasury as a resource available for possible future use," Pohl explained.
"This stock buyback program reflects our confidence in both the near- and long-term prospects for Patriot Scientific," Pohl stated. "We are committed to returning value to stockholders in various ways, including through our growth strategy as well as our focus on operational excellence and ability to generate and manage strong cash flow. As we receive and accumulate cash in the future from anticipated licensing revenues, our Board will be continuing to review and update our business and strategic plans," he continued. "These considerations currently include payment of dividends, buying back some of our outstanding shares and warrants, and contemplation of other prudent and feasible ways in which we might put future cash to work to create additional streams of revenue for the benefit of the Company and our shareholders."
In actions extremely rare for micro-cap corporations, Patriot will have issued two cash dividends within the past two months. The second of these two dividends is being distributed today to qualified shareholders and warrant holders of record as of March 31, 2006. Upon completion of this dividend payment, the total dividends paid by Patriot so far this calendar year will be almost $25 million. Earlier this year, Patriot also entered into a warrant buyback plan, and in February it exercised one of its monthly options to repurchase 2 million outstanding warrants from a warrant holder.
These cash dividends and buyback plans are especially significant because - until Q3 of 2005 - Patriot had never shown a quarterly profit, and had never realized significant revenue from its 10-patent portfolio of seminal microprocessor innovations. Since February of last year, the Company's jointly owned patent portfolio - marketed as the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio - has been successfully licensed to Intel, AMD, HP, Fujitsu and Casio, generating millions in revenue for Patriot.
The information just released by Patriot - as reported on its Form 10QSB filed with the SEC - includes among other things that in the three months ending February 28, 2006, Patriot Scientific booked some $60 million in revenue from license transactions. As explained in notes to the financial statements, that amount includes revenues of a joint venture licensing entity that are not available to the Company, but which - due to the need to comply with a complex rule of accounting standards - Patriot is required by its independent auditors to consolidate and include with its own figures. The same accounting rule and explanation applies to income figures included in the report.
The Company also completed the previously announced conversion and retirement of all remaining convertible debentures that had been on the books, freeing the Company from the liability as well as certain restrictions and contingencies that had been contained in those debt agreements.
"The very favorable quarterly revenue and income figures, even after allowing for the inclusion of figures for the consolidated joint venture entity, show Patriot Scientific Corporation to be a strong growth company in excellent financial health," Pohl said. "Although past performance does not guarantee future success, we are confident that Patriot will receive additional licensing distributions based on our core patent technologies that are at the heart of virtually every microprocessor produced since 1994. With the precedent of the licensing agreements already entered into with major computer chip and electronic equipment manufacturers, we have every reason to expect that other firms will choose to honor our patents by obtaining licenses."
"Our recent quarterly report also includes information about some litigation or disputes in which the Company is engaged that do not involve patent infringement," Pohl commented. "It should not be surprising for a company like Patriot that has undergone such a dramatic transition in the past year to be dealing with some conflicted matters from the past that need to be resolved. These matters are not distracting us from the normal course of business, and we rely upon the experienced and skillful attorneys who are advising and representing us to help bring these matters to a satisfactory conclusion."
Through the Company's marketing alliance with The TPL Group's Alliacense division, active license negotiations are ongoing with other U.S. and foreign companies whose digital products include fundamental design techniques covered by the Company's patent portfolio. More than 150 of these companies - and that includes practically every high-tech consumer electronics manufacturer and systems integrator in the global marketplace - have been put on notice of likely infringement and the opportunity to obtain licenses.
"Q3 of 2006 has proven remarkably successful for Patriot Scientific," Pohl said, "and our Board of Directors has seen fit to share this success directly with our shareholders through two unprecedented dividends. Now, in addition, our Board has adopted a strategic long-range stock buyback plan to demonstrate our belief in the future of Patriot and the long-term value of our stock."

We are sitting pretty! Now that Sony crumbled, I wonder what the J3 are thinking about. The big question for me is, when did Sony license the MMP....was it May (quarterlys due in a few weeks) or was it yesterday (quarterlys due in Aug). My guess is, they'll hide the cards for as long as possible.

Anxiously awaiting settlements! Good luck longs.

resistance at 20 and 50 MA ($0.92 and $0.93 respectively)

seems to be close to a short term breakout once $0.93 is squashed. the MACD is ready to enter positive territory, just need one nice breakout day, and i say we are almost there. stochastics and RSI are also in an uptrend.

Olympus Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) Portfolio License; Olympus Becomes Eighth Major System Manufacturer This Year to Purchase Rights to Use Fundamental MMP Portfolio Technologies
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 2006--Alliacense today disclosed that Olympus Corporation has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio license. Olympus follows in the footsteps of HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson and Pentax, all of whom purchased an MMP license from The TPL Group this year.

''We welcome Olympus to our distinguished roster of MMP Portfolio licensees,'' said Mac Leckrone, Alliacense president. ''While Olympus is widely known for its outstanding line of digital cameras and precision imaging products, it has also emerged as one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-speed chemistry analyzers for medical laboratories.'' He noted that fundamental MMP technologies are being widely used in modern digital medical products.

With Olympus becoming the eighth system manufacturer to purchase an MMP license in 2006, Leckrone confirmed that MMP licensing rates can be expected to increase according to plan as ''first-mover'' MMP Portfolio licensing berths continue to be rapidly captured by global leaders. ''While we encourage all companies to contact us regarding MMP Portfolio Licensing opportunities, our licensing teams continue to focus on global leaders whose management is empowered to make quick strategic business decisions,'' he added.

The MMP Portfolio patents, filed by The TPL Group in the 1980s, cover techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost designs, and are fundamental to consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from DVD players, cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure, medical equipment and automobiles.

About the MMP Portfolio

Named after legendary inventor Charles ''Chuck'' Moore, the MMP Portfolio includes seven US patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts fundamental to the design of modern microprocessors, microcontrollers and system-on-chip devices. Developed in a joint venture between the TPL Group and Moore, the MMP Portfolio today is jointly owned by privately held TPL Group and publicly held Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC.OB).

Could be, but for sure there have been signs of major accumulation over the past 3 months.  I hold the stock, I'm looking for a test of the years' high before December.

Earnings and news are good (IMHO), and so we see breakout with Bullish Engulfing Pattern and, hope, reverse to uptrend.

I posted this earlier on another PTSC thread...

"PTSC moving in anticipation of the 10K which is late.  Expected filing on Oct 13 (I think).  Anyway, MACD has turned up.  If it breaks .98, it should see some pretty strong resistance in the 1.05 range.  I'm averaged in at .78.  I can't decide if I should sell half before the 10K or wait to see if it is a blockbuster.  Got to be some good earnings at some point from all these licensing fees.  If it breaks above 1.15-1.20 on big volume, that puts 1.50 in play.  I don't see that unless the 10K is huge or some other big news."

Good close...I'm guessing we stall at around 1.05 until news.  JMVHO, of course. ADX is still low but turning up.

Technicals are also great, with a powerful breakout and a lot of momentum building up right now.

We may watch some consolidation at this point, but we believe PTSCE may be headed for much higher ground. Michael will give us some inputs next week.

Buy PTSCE.OB today.

That one year chart has that,

Symmetrical Triangle (Continuation) pattern...
The symmetrical triangle, which can also be referred to as a coil, usually forms during a trend as a continuation pattern. The pattern contains at least two lower highs and two higher lows. When these points are connected, the lines converge as they are extended and the symmetrical triangle takes shape. You could also think of it as a contracting wedge, wide at the beginning and narrowing over time.

While there are instances when symmetrical triangles mark important trend reversals, they more often mark a continuation of the current trend. Regardless of the nature of the pattern, continuation or reversal, the direction of the next major move can only be determined after a valid breakout.

Edwards and Magee suggest that roughly 75% of symmetrical triangles are continuation patterns and the rest mark reversals. The reversal patterns can be especially difficult to analyze and often have false breakouts. Even so, we should not anticipate the direction of the breakout, but rather wait for it to happen. Further analysis should be applied to the breakout by looking for gaps, accelerated price movements, and volume for confirmation. Confirmation is especially important for upside breakouts.

Prices sometimes return to the breakout point of apex on a reaction move before resuming in the direction of the breakout. This return can offer a second chance to participate with a better reward to risk ratio. Potential reward price targets found by measurement and parallel trend line extension are only meant to act as rough guidelines. Technical analysis is dynamic and ongoing assessment is required. In the first example above, SUNW may have fulfilled its target (42) in a few months, but the stock gave no sign of slowing down and advanced above 100 in the following months.

Patriot Scientific Files Form 10-KSB for Fiscal Year 2006
Friday October 13, 5:31 pm ET

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC - News) today filed its 10-KSB annual report for its fiscal year ending May 31, 2006. The report, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, includes audited financial statements for its fiscal year and related disclosures concerning the company's results of operations and financial condition during that period. The company also announced that its new web site will be launched on Monday at www.ptsc.com, where a copy of the company's 10-KSB will be available.

Patriot Scientific's consolidated financial statements reflect net income of $28,672,688 for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2006, with revenue of $35,895,449 million as its share of distributions from licensing agreements related to the MMP Patent Portfolio. The report also disclosed that during the period from June 1, 2006 through October 3, 2006, Phoenix Digital Solutions, which is jointly owned by Patriot Scientific and the TPL Group, entered into MMP portfolio license agreements with third parties, pursuant to which Phoenix Digital received aggregate proceeds totaling $32,699,000. The dollar amount for each licensing deal varies. Each is dependent on the relevance of the patents to each licensee's revenue and the extent to which the patented technology is incorporated into specific products, rather than on the total revenue from all products of the licensee.

Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which Alliacense(TM), a TPL Group enterprise, exclusively manages. The MMP Portfolio patents, filed in the 1980s, protect design techniques that have become essential to a myriad of consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from DVD players, cell phones and portable music players, to communications infrastructure, medical equipment and automobiles.

"Patriot Scientific has undergone tremendous positive change in the last year," said David Pohl, Patriot Scientific chairman and CEO. "The shift away from developing and marketing our own Ignite microprocessor to focus primarily on revenue from the licensing of our patent portfolio has bolstered the financial strength of the company. We are excited about the next phase of our plan that has already begun in which we are evaluating opportunities to diversify our revenue stream through possible joint ventures or acquisitions, all with the goal of increasing shareholder value."

Activities at Patriot Scientific that have occurred thus far in calendar year 2006, which includes the last six months of the fiscal year covered in the 10-KSB include:

     - Nine MMP portfolio licenses have been sold in the first nine months of
       the year
     - Over 300 companies have been notified that they are licensing
       candidates
     - Unprecedented among microcap stocks, two cash dividends in 2006
     - Announced open market buy-back program for shares
     - Conversion and retirement of all outstanding debentures

Due to activities related to preparation and filing of restated financials for fiscal 2002 through 2005 as previously announced, Patriot Scientific has filed a notice to take the allowable five-day extension to file the fiscal 2007 first quarter 10-Q financial report for the three month period ending August 30, 2006. That document will be filed October 23, 2006. Patriot Scientific has been advised that the character "E" that has been appended to the company's trading symbol pending the filing of the company's annual report will be removed today.

Hi jorg

I guess it is buy the rumor and sell on the news.

The earnings were good, the potential is mind bubbling and to get the restatement of 2005 out of the way should be good news.

The total chip market exceeds 200 billion in annual revenue and it seems to me that Patriot have a very good case. Litigation based on advanced technology is difficult to predict but somebody else have already done the hard work. If companies like Intel, AMD, Hewlett Packard, Casio and Fujitsu have decided to settle there is a very good chance that the majority of the remaining 300 licensing candidates on their list will settle as well.

The AMD and Intel settlements seems cheap but were probably made to clear the way for settlement with smaller players in the market and for this stock to really take off we need details on the agreements made with the smaller players. As always Pennies are risky investments but I feel good about this one.

Ramsburg thank you for the notice prior to selling PTSC.  I especially like the way Micheal (with one of his VERY rare inputs) says "As always Pennies are risky investments but I feel good about this one" and "The earnings were good, the potential is mind bubbling and to get the restatement of 2005 out of the way should be good news" just before market close.  Only to find out later that 3SOF sold earlier that morning.

I would also like to thank you for the weekly updates on IEAM.  The stock has been held for over 4 months, is down 14%, and hasn't been updated by a paid administrator since September 10th.  Even after several request for an update.

I will give you credit for some nice picks recently but I also paid for the knowledge, technical analysis, and daily updates from Micheal and EliteG.

Hi bmarc,

Ramsburg and mine investment styles are as different as day and night. Most conversations we have about stocks starts with: I know you will hate this pick but.....

Sometimes (and not to seldom) we both agree on a pick and often that is when the fireworks start - when the fundamentals and the technicals go hands in hand.

PTSC started that way but the TA turned sour even though the Fundamentals seem to be intact. I agree that we should have coordinated our input much better but you basically got two side of the same story. The FA and the TA.

I am still holding PTSC and wouldn't mind to add here if my broker could sort out the new ticker  ???. I don't think PTSC has been in our portfolio for the last time but for now we are out.

In general whoever picks a stock is the captain and concerning IEAM even though I have followed it on the sideline I am not familiar with the details. That is why I didn't answer your post yesterday.
Title: Re: PTSCE.OB – Solid Penny with Potential.
Post by: jorgegr on October 18, 2006, 11:30:47 PM
I'm still in PTSC but not adding due to my own limits about exposures, although
fundamentals have not changed as far as I know and even  in no way I want
to  compete with Rams TA, there are some sidelines  that could be deducted
from the way the sell off took place.

After reaching 1.30 on Oct 2nd there was a a great bear/bull fight closing
the gap opened on the same day and during all that week PPS traded around
1.10  with lower volumes (except on Oct 5) and seemed that a reaction was
possible. On friday when it touched $1, sales were triggered  breaking that
psicological barrier. At this stage I remember some time ago a member of 3SOF
said that he always speculated waiting to sell after 3SOF indicated to do so
and had a record of 1 or 2% higher, alledging the 3SOF effect on the market
due to the large community following these recommendations.

I'm not saying that this is the whole explanation but have closely observed evident
increases particularly on low volume stocks, when 3SOF decides to buy and
therefore suppose the same oposite  effect takes place when selling, plus the
action of many traders that take advantage, shaking off weak hands.

I delayed my sales in several stocks after it was indicated and can assure
that I also improved my profits.

SIGA is a different story, because the market made a misinterpretation of the
news and I wrote about it in the corresponding thread,  doubling my investment
instead of selling, mainly due to fundamentals, info, deduction on their Board of
Directors decision and TA to buy my second lot. This combo lead me to good profits.

But coming back to PTSC, with or without an "E" maybe we are now back in
our way towards a consolidation or new highs.

Dont feel the same way about IEAM that showed a long parking of money
with no results and that is what counts. Our investment availability has
limitations and as any other business we have to find the best option,
average profits in our portfolio will indicate if we were right or wrong.

The good news is we can change, learn and improve our yield accepting
nobody is perfect and realize that  positive, healthy, critical, intelligent opinions,
are far more useful for our development than demagogic applauds.

GLTA - Let's make some green ;D

Patriot Scientific Reports Fiscal Q1 Net Income of $5.99M, or $0.014 Diluted EPS
Monday October 23, 4:25 pm ET
Company Announces Share Buy Back Actions

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC - News) today reported net income of $5,990,000 after provision for taxes, or $0.014 per diluted share, for the first fiscal quarter ended August 31, 2006. A copy of the company's Form 10-Q, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, is available on the company's newly redesigned website, www.ptsc.com, where visitors can now sign up for e-mail alerts.

The results included $12,070,198 recorded as the company's 50% share of the net income of Phoenix Digital Solutions, Patriot's joint venture with TPL that is responsible for marketing the jointly owned MMP portfolio license agreements. The company said it had $16,126,000 in current assets including short-term investments and over $9,600,000 in cash and cash equivalents at the end of the quarter. Current liabilities of $4,040,000 included a $3,500,000 provision for income taxes. The company has no long-term debt.

In another matter, the company said it began to buy back stock in July with the repurchase of 2,075,003 shares at an aggregate cost of $1,839,000. In September, the company purchased 1,199,824 shares at an aggregate cost of $934,000. The company said it had 369,536,087 common shares outstanding on October 2, 2006.

Patriot Scientific chairman and CEO David Pohl said, "These results reflect solid progress in pursuing our MMP portfolio licensing strategy through our partnership with TPL. We had a net increase in cash of $5,695,000 during the quarter as we continued to strengthen our balance sheet and our financial structure. We have subsequently used some of the cash for share buy backs in July and September. Shareholders' equity at the end of the quarter was $16,629,000, up from $10,827,000 on May 31, 2006."

Patriot previously disclosed that from June 1, 2006 through October 3, 2006, Phoenix Digital Solutions entered into MMP portfolio license agreements with third parties, pursuant to which Phoenix Digital received aggregate proceeds totaling $32,699,000. The dollar amount for each licensing deal varies. Each amount is dependent on the relevance of the patents to each licensee's revenue and the extent to which the patented technology is incorporated into specific products.

"We are delighted that the strength of our patent portfolio continues to be validated by the 11 licenses that have been signed thus far with major electronics companies, nine of them since January," Pohl stated. "We remain positive in our outlook for continued revenue based on further progress in licensing more of over 300 companies around the globe that have been notified they are candidates."

Pohl also noted that Patriot Scientific is actively evaluating sources and opportunities to create additional recurring revenue through possible joint ventures or acquisitions, all with the goal of increasing shareholder value.

Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which Alliacense(TM), a TPL Group enterprise, exclusively manages. The MMP Portfolio patents, filed in the 1980s, protect design techniques that have become essential to a myriad of consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from computers, DVD players, cell phones and portable music players, to communications infrastructure, medical equipment and automobiles.

The patent portfolio, marketed as the Moore Microprocessor PatentTM (MMP) Portfolio, contains intellectual property jointly owned by Patriot and the privately held TPL Group. The portfolio encompasses seven U.S. patents as well as European and Japanese patents. Protected through year 2015, the patents protect techniques used in designing microprocessors, microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processor (DSPs), embedded processors and System-on-Chip (SoC) implementations.

The intellectual property represented by the MMP Portfolio of patents encompasses building blocks for virtually all digital products being designed and shipped today. This includes techniques used in devices ranging from TV remote controls to sophisticated medical diagnostic equipment, portable media players and complex Internet backbone hardware. Today's automobiles have dozens of such devices. Global sales of end products deploying chips using technologies protected by the jointly owned patents are estimated to be greater than $200 billion annually.
The MMP portfolio-licensing program headed by TPL under the Alliacense brand rewards first movers in their industry sectors with substantial discounts. By design, the licensing structure enables early adapter manufacturers to disadvantage their competitors. Alliacense said it has contacted hundreds of system manufacturers around the globe.
Patriot management says Alliacense is continuing to produce results that confirm the company's confidence in their strategies. Revenues from licenses have resulted in a significant fiscal strengthening of Patriot Scientific.
In 2006, the company has paid two cash dividends to shareholders totaling $25 million. This includes a $0.02 dividend paid March 22 and a $0.04 cash dividend paid April 24.
In September, Kenwood joined an expanding group of global system manufacturers, including PENTAX, Seiko Epson, Nikon, Sony, Fujitsu, Casio, Hewlett-Packard and Olympus that have become MMP Portfolio licensees this calendar year.

Alliacense noted the Sony settlement highlights the remarkably broad range of everyday products that use microprocessor technology. Alliacense said it is in discussions with dozens of companies and that competition for early-round licensing berths in key market sectors has become intense.

Agilent Technologies Becomes Tenth Major Manufacturer to Purchase Moore Microprocessor Patent™ Portfolio License During 2006
MMP Portfolio licensing program continues to focus on system manufacturing leaders

CUPERTINO, Calif. – Nov. 27, 2006 – Alliacense today announced that Agilent Technologies has purchased from The TPL Group a license to use the Moore Microprocessor Patent™ (MMP) Portfolio. As the tenth company to purchase an MMP Portfolio license this year, Agilent Technologies is preceded by HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson, Pentax, Olympus and Kenwood.

"The global technology leaders that have purchased MMP Portfolio licenses this year recognize the competitive edge to be gained by licensing MMP technologies sooner rather than later," said Mike Davis, Alliacense Sr. Vice President, Licensing. "As we welcome Agilent Technologies to our distinguished roster of MMP licensees, we also want to encourage all electronic product manufacturers to contact us regarding the significant competitive advantages of becoming an early MMP Portfolio licensee."

According to Davis, Agilent Technologies has captured one of the "first-mover" MMP Portfolio licensing berths, which encompass Electronic Measurement, Bioanalytical Measurement, and Semiconductor Test Solutions products. Agilent Technologies is the world's premier measurement company providing core analytical and electrical instruments to the life sciences, chemical analysis, communications, and electronics industries. The company has two primary businesses: Bio-Analytical Measurement and Electronic Measurement. The company currently has approximately 20,000 employees and serves customers in more than 110 countries. Agilent had revenue of $5.1B in fiscal year 2005.

The MMP Portfolio patents, filed by The TPL Group in the 1980s, cover techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost designs, and are fundamental to consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from DVD players, cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure, medical equipment -- and automobiles which today have dozens of microprocessor-based key features and benefits.

About the MMP Portfolio

Named after legendary inventor Charles "Chuck" Moore, the MMP Portfolio includes seven US patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts fundamental to the design of modern microprocessors, microcontrollers and system-on-chip devices. Developed in a joint venture between the TPL Group and Moore, the MMP Portfolio today is jointly owned by privately held TPL Group and publicly held Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC.OB).

About Alliacense

Hi, hope I am in the right thread, this was the most recent and relevant one I could find in searches (the link in the moved thread didnt work).

Anyway, PTSC looking a bit interesting to me after Friday's hammer candle, setting up for a morning star reversal pattern Monday possiby.  It would be a bit of a gamble since the recent downtrend has been unrelenting given that the stock has lost over 50% in the last 2 months.

Anyone know of fundamental reasons for this huge drop?  Anyway, looking to play this maybe with a tight stop, say somewhere just below .56 (the low of the other recent candle on 11/14).  Not sure yet though, would welcome any input.

Rating: Strong Speculative Buy
01/19/2007
Patriot Scientific Third Quarter Results Stronger Than Numbers Indicate; Reiterate Strong Speculative Buy Rating
Patriot Scientific Corporation (Patriot Scientific) released its results for the three months ending November 30, 2006. As we explained in our initial November 27, 2006, Research Report, when viewing Patriot Scientific's results, investors should become accustomed to operating results showing no patent royalty revenue on the top line of operating statements. Investors should concentrate on the equity in "Equity in earnings of affiliated company" line item in the Statement of Operations. In the three months ended November 30, 2006, Patriot Scientific reported $6,674,793 equity in earnings of affiliated company line item (i.e. Phoenix Digital). For the six months ended November 30, 2006, the equity in earnings of affiliated company line item was $18.7 million. The
equity in earnings of affiliated company line item represents the net license fees received, after expenses, from the joint venture entity,
Phoenix Digital. Phoenix Digital is jointly owned 50% by Patriot Scientific and 50% The TPL Group. Phoenix Digital receives income when manufacturers purchase licenses to use technology that is covered by patents in the MMP Patent Portfolio. The MMP portfolio, Phoenix Digital's Intellectual Property asset, is jointly owned by Patriot Scientific and TPL.
The press release noted that Phoenix Digital will be receiving license proceeds of $8,850,000 relating to an additional license agreement signed in November 2006, this amount is to be received by Phoenix Digital in January 2007. In addition, Phoenix Digital entered into additional licensing agreements with total income figures of $7,320,000 during December 2006. Thus, Phoenix Digital
already has total license income in the three months ending February 28, 2007, of at least $16,170,000. As noted above Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group will share this income, on a 50/50 basis, after Phoenix Digital's expenses.
Although Patriot Scientific reported a net loss of $1,881,998 for the three months ended November 30, 2006, this net loss is not indicative of the continuing positive results in this period. There was a one-time expense of $6,300,000 for a set aside to provide funds for settlement in principle of a dispute. This dispute relates to a lawsuit that had been filed by a co-inventor of patents in the MMP Patent Portfolio. The dispute went to mediation and was settled in principle in December 2006. Even though the settlement terms have
not been finalized, Patriot Scientific chose to accrue the $6,300,000 to cover the potential cash and stock settlements relating to the mediation agreement.
Patriot Scientific's balance sheet as of November 30, 2006, is strong, with current assets of $15,714,374, compared with $8,014,970 as
of May 31, 2006. Current liabilities as of November 30, 2006, were $10,968,204 (including $6,354,063 accrual for contingency fee discussed above and $4,154,600 accrued income tax payable), compared with $1,244,116 as of May 31, 2006. Cash and cash equivalents at November 30, 2006, showed an increase of $7,731,791 over the figure at May 31, 2006, to end the period at
$11,718,031. This cash figure reflects that in the six months ended November 30, 2006, Patriot Scientific utilized $4,046,106 to buy back, as part of a previously announced stock buy back program, 4,874,827 shares of its common stock at an average price or $0.83 per share. In the three months ended November 30, 2006, Patriot Scientific bought back 2,799,824 shares of its common stock at an average price of $0.78 per share.

SUMMARY
We began research coverage on Patriot Scientific on November 27, 2006, with a rating of Speculative Buy and a 12-month price target of $1.12. With the announcement of additional licenses, we raised our rating to a Strong Speculative Buy on December 12, 2006. Since then, Patriot Scientific's stock has traded in a range of a $0.43 low to a $0.65 high. Management indicated in today's press release, "that the strength of the patent portfolio continues to be validated by the 12 licenses that have been signed thus far with major electronics companies, 10 of them during calendar year 2006," and that their, "outlook remains positive for continued revenue based on further progress in licensing more of the over 400 companies worldwide that have been notified they are candidates."
We agree and most heartily reiterate our Strong Speculative Buy, and maintain our 12-month price target of $1.12 per share. We will shortly publish our Update Research Report, wherein we will present, in detail, our comments on the results of the period ended November 30, 2006, as outlined in the Company's 10Q filing.

Patriot Scientific Reports Fiscal Q2 Results
Thursday January 18, 1:09 pm ET
Actions Included Continued Share Buy Backs, Mediation Settlement in Principle

CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC - News) this week reported net income of $4,108,275 after provision for taxes, or $0.01 per diluted share, for the first 6 months ended November 30, 2006, even though the company recorded a net loss of $1,881,998 for the three-month fiscal quarter ended on that date after setting aside funds to provide for settlement in principle of a dispute. A copy of the company's Form 10-Q, filed January 16, 2007 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, is available on the company's redesigned website, www.ptsc.com, where visitors can now sign up for e-mail alerts.

The quarterly results included $6,674,793 received as the company's share of the net income of Phoenix Digital Solutions, the joint venture entity that is owned half by Patriot Scientific and half by The TPL Group. Phoenix Digital receives its income from licenses purchased by manufacturers who use technologies contained in the MMP Patent Portfolio that is jointly owned by Patriot Scientific and TPL.

The report disclosed that during the six months ended November 30, 2006, Phoenix Digital received aggregate proceeds of $32,699,000 from technology licensing agreements entered into with third parties. License proceeds of $8,850,000 relating to an additional license agreement signed in November 2006 are to be received in January 2007. Phoenix Digital entered into licensing agreements with aggregate proceeds of $7,320,000 during December 2006. The dollar amount for each licensing deal varies, depending upon factors that include among other things the relevance of the patents to each licensee's revenue and the extent to which the patented technology is incorporated into specific products.

"Our revenues reflect continued momentum in pursuing our patent portfolio licensing strategy through our joint venture with TPL," stated Patriot Scientific chairman and CEO David Pohl. "We had a net increase in cash of $7,733,791 during the first six months ended November 30, 2006 as we continued to strengthen our balance sheet and our financial structure. We have subsequently used some of the cash for share buy backs."

Pursuant to its program to buy back stock, the Company repurchased 4,874,827 shares for the first six months ended November 30, 2006 at an aggregate cost of $4,024,395, and in December 2006 and January 2007 purchased 3,132,500 shares at an aggregate cost of $1,960,305. Patriot Scientific had 381,214,818 common shares outstanding on January 12, 2007. Shareholders' equity at the end of the quarter was $12,782,707, down from $16,629,014 at the end of the previous quarter and up from $10,827,551 on May 31, 2006.

At the end of the quarter Patriot Scientific had $15,714,374 in current assets that included short-term investments and over $11,718,031 in cash and cash equivalents. Current liabilities of $10,968,204 included a $4,154,600 provision for income taxes as well as $6,354,063 earmarked as an expense related to a settlement in principle reached during mediation of litigation between Patriot and a co-inventor of its patented technology. The company has no long-term debt.

"We are delighted that the strength of our patent portfolio continues to be validated by the 12 licenses that have been signed thus far with major electronics companies, 10 of them during calendar year 2006," said Pohl. "Our outlook remains positive for continued revenue based on further progress in licensing more of over 400 companies worldwide that have been notified they are candidates."

Pohl also noted that Patriot Scientific is continuing to actively evaluate sources and opportunities to create additional recurring revenue through possible joint ventures or acquisitions, all with the goal of increasing shareholder value.

"...Anyone know of fundamental reasons for this huge drop?..."

Yes, most likely reason is insiders converting warrants and selling shares they already own to stay under SEC reporting requirements. Should (emphasis on 'should') be finished converting prior to Markman hearing, in April I think. Huge potential with PTSC but no small risk entailed.

Gap Up Tomorrow!

CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb 22, 2007 -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC) today announced that it will issue a cash dividend of $0.02 per share of common stock for shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of March 6, 2007. The dividend is payable April 9, 2007.

This dramatic action follows closely on the heels of the company's recent announcements that two more global manufacturers, NEC Corporation and Funai Electric, have purchased licenses for the jointly owned Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio. Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which Alliacense, a TPL Group enterprise, exclusively manages.

"We want our shareholders to participate in our share of the revenues generated by our jointly owned MMP Patent Portfolio," said David Pohl, chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific Corporation. "In furtherance of this philosophy, our board of directors has now adopted a policy of paying a dividend every six months, subject each time to a determination by the board that payment of a dividend would then be reasonable and prudent in light of the financial condition of the company, other possible applications of the company's available resources, and relevant business considerations," Pohl stated.

Patriot Scientific invested millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of man-hours over 12 years or more developing and bringing to market products based upon the company's intellectual property, including IP contained in the MMP Portfolio. "Patriot's board of directors decided in June 2005 to shift our primary business model from manufacturing and marketing products to a model currently focused on licensing our joint venture patent portfolio," said Pohl. "This dividend payment, which is rare in the arena of microcap companies, is another important step evidencing the fact that the board and management firmly believe in the company's future potential." He noted that HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson, Pentax, Olympus, Kenwood, Agilent, Lexmark, Schneider Electric, NEC Corporation and Funai Electric have purchased MMP Portfolio licenses in the past 13 months. Intel and AMD are also licensees. The MMP portfolio generated over $108 million in total license fees for the joint venture as a result of licenses signed in 2006. After allocation for expenses, the distributive share received by Patriot Scientific from the total license fees was over $48 million.

"We have already embarked upon our plan for the future of Patriot Scientific by seeking and evaluating opportunities to add to and diversify our revenue stream by acquiring other companies and technologies, entering into joint ventures, developing and marketing new proprietary products or technologies, or a combination of any of those alternatives," Pohl continued, "always pointed toward the goal of increasing the financial position and strength of the company and providing value to our shareholders."

A letter issued by Pohl as CEO of Patriot Scientific is being posted Friday on the company's web site at www.ptsc.com. The letter summarizes significant developments of 2006 and provides an update on recent events of interest to shareholders. The company also announced plans to hold an annual shareholders meeting April 27, 2007, in Carlsbad, California. Details will be announced soon and proxy materials will be mailed to shareholders.

Break of the Down Trend line.
Chart pattern looks to be in line with a Falling Wegde (Reversal)

Falling Wedge (Reversal)
The falling wedge is a bullish pattern that begins wide at the top and contracts as prices move lower. This price action forms a cone that slopes down as the reaction highs and reaction lows converge. In contrast to symmetrical triangles, which have no definitive slope and no bias, falling wedges definitely slope down and have a bullish bias. However, this bullish bias cannot be realized until a resistance breakout.

The falling wedge can also fit into the continuation category. As a continuation pattern, the falling wedge will still slope down, but the slope will be against the prevailing uptrend. As a reversal pattern, the falling wedge slopes down and with the prevailing trend. Regardless of the type (reversal or continuation), falling wedges are regarded as bullish patterns.

As with rising wedges, the falling wedge can be one of the most difficult chart patterns to accurately recognize and trade. When lower highs and lower lows form, as in a falling wedge, a security remains in a downtrend. The falling wedge is designed to spot a decrease in downside momentum and alert technicians to a potential trend reversal. Even though selling pressure may be diminishing, demand does not win out until resistance is broken. As with most patterns, it is important to wait for a breakout and combine other aspects of technical analysis to confirm signals.
