Wanted to make everybody aware of this stock. Bought today @1.50. It is three day's over the 200 day MA and MACD crossover of the MA and just crossed over centerline with 4.2 million shares traded. I will be looking to buy more on Monday.

Didn't know you had thread started on SOFO when I started one but if you look at time and date of each thread, maybe it didn't show up yet. Anyway I did a search and you'rs didn't come up.
Applaud to you for this pick.
I bought this stock on Friday , you might want to check out the thread I started to see it but from here on I'll use this thread to post since it was started first.

OK,all that said I want to comment on SOFO. Sometimes the strongest breakouts come from those that clear multi-year patterns. You will see in chart att. that the downtrend has been broken that had formed for at least two years and is now starting to test major resistance areas and has already passed two or three of them and next major resistance is 1.80. The chart will fully show. I'm looking for this to come back into the 2.00 area where it was at two years ago. This is a weekly chart.

Message boards is ok to read but don't base you're buy and sell decisions on them. Those boards come with a lot of pumpers and dumpers just looking for the next trader that they can suck their money from them.
Learn to use the chart's,,volume,,major news annoucement's,,past earning's,,insider buying and site's that can back up what they preach like 3stocksonfire and you will make more gains then using message boards.
Have you bought SOFO.
I was going to buy more but have decided to buy CHMS or NWLS on monday. You might want to check them out if you're looking to buy.

Just go to finance.yahoo.com, type in a stock name, and click on "Message boards".

My group isn't on the yahoo MB because they have become overrun by bashers and pumpers... We took it private because then we could keep the board from random pumpers who would always show up.

SOFO : looks very good as a possible major breakout. I will hold this stock while chart keeps confirming the breakout and will keep thread up to date.

That was good TA, id like to add that the stock retraced 50% today.... it may go to 61% but if tomorrow os a bullish day,  I think we will all have a big smile....

Yes, that would be great if the run continued tomorrow but usually a stock will pull back and consolidate after a big day run. Wed. will tell the big story and I;m thinking it will be a positive meeting with all the buying and volume that's been coming in.

Tomorrow will be the real test, be ready to pull the trigger just in case the shareholders meeting isn't a good one or another way is to sell at the top today for profit and if tomorrow's meeting is good re-enter on the run up or sell partial shares today to lock in profit and ride the rest.
I've got small amount of shares so I'll ride it out and hope for the run to get maximum gain or sell before it get's back to my buy price.

SOFO : had another great day but we must remember that what goes up must come down. I expect a pull back sometime this week. I am assuming there will be some "profit taking" going in to the weekend and the stock may correct slightly. But I think it will not be anything to worry about. As I have stated, I believe we are just starting this run.

There's still going to be a lot of money to be made here. I expect another run sometime next week after news release of how the Expo went that they're attending this weekend.
Like I said in a couple of post before. I sold half of my shares to lock in profit and will ride the rest for maximum gains. Let's hope this train ride will go around the world a couple of times.

Some nice calls on sofo... seems to have a good idea to buy on the first pullback: SOFO at 1.40-50, much as it would have been nice to buy on the pennant on nabi at 4.30-ish march 13th. Basically 1.5-2 days after the spike, while the stock is resting its legs for another run.

SOFO : really surprized that it hasn't pulled back yet for a correction for consolidation and I'm thinking that it may happen after today and then again it might not but it seems to be slowing down and will put limit order in to sell @2.00 for the rest of the shares I'm still holding. Hardly ever does a stock keep making new highs without pull backs on the way up and this one has been going now for nine day's with only one that seller's was in controll. If limit order doesn't go through because it's done hit a high of 2.00 I'll be looking to sell around the 1.95 area.

this is a test

im not a big technical guy, but ive been in this stock for about 6 months now and this week has been beautiful with 25 percent gain. insiders have bought up a crap load the past few months, there recieving some big names as their clients and should at least break even this quarter (results should be announced soon). im sticking with it, looks to have a very bright future and rimas the CEO seems to be a very promising guy.

NEW YORK, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Media technology company Sonic Foundry Inc. (SOFO.O: Quote, Profile , Research) said on Thursday it has priced a public offering of 3 million of its common stock shares at $3.75 each.

The public offering is expected to close on Dec. 27, it said.

Madison, Wisconsin-based Sonic Foundry said last month it may periodically sell up to $42.6 million in common stock.

Is SOFO a go go again?  Came down to touch it's 50ma after breaking a pretty steep ascending trendline.  If SOFO does find support in this area, it may need some time to regain it's strength after this current 22% correction.

Successful test of the 50ma again.  Indicator's crossing and turning north.  Let's see if SOFO can break back above that ascending trendline and the 20ma.

Sofo took out triple top resistance 3.88 on friday on good wolume and it could be time to take a closer look.
Recap :
Sofo had a very nice 2006 starting of a bit short of 1 $.
A 3 drives pattern took it to a high of 5.14 in december before retracing primarily because of a privat sorry public placement in late december which netted 13 mill $.
The stock found support in 3.50-60 area and has tested this area 2-3 times.
The money was necessary in order to attract new imployes and not getting unnecessary pressure from bigger customers when negotiating new orders.
Some of the proceeds has been used to build out existing server infrastructure.
First q results showed a loss of .01 but saw a 84 % growth in revenue yoy.
The company expects breakeven or better for the following q's and expects 20+ mill revenue for the year.No guidance yet for 2008+.
Sonic foundry showcased their very powerfull searchtechnology in the fall of 2006 including Advanced phonetic search algorithms and has now implemented the technology on their Mediasite.com page.The technology is a result of a 20+mill $ resarch project which came out of Mellon university in the 90's sponsored by nasa darpa and ibm .The technology was aquired in 2001.
The company see this as a competitive tool when going head to head in competition for new orders but is now seeing increasing interest in the product in new areas --- content management etc .
The company has positioned itself for larger deals now -- lots of their existing customers has started purchasing the mediasite product as a pilot project and Sonic foundry is now seeing bigger orders from existing customers and with that new service orders ----- Lots of classrooms will be going online the coming years and lots of content needs to get managed.

Here's a weekly chart that offer a larger picture approach .
Notice the fast stoch crossing and what happened the last 2 times we had a similar setup .
There is still room for the crossing to get burried so this might be a bit premature also considering the overall market conditions but worth putting on your watchscreens.
