BIG BOUNCE UNDERWAY... UP 41c. EARNINGS 8/12 or 8/15. MMs KEPT SOME PRESSURE THE LAST THREE DAYS. THEY ARE LETTING HER RUN NOW.
1.8M FLOAT...PROFITABLE...$8 TARGET
SIMC is a consistently profitable low-floater on an aggressive growth mode. The stock is bouncing today in anticipation of earnings due to be out either tomorrow 8/12 or Monday 8/15.
Mr. Barry Pardon, SIMC's President told me that SIMC wll release its 2Q financial results either tomorrow or Monday, contrary to speculations that it will be today 8/11. He said that legally they have until Monday to do so. They are reviewing the 10Q and this time it is a litlle more involved because of the aquisition of Simclar North America Inc. (SNAI) during the quarter.
I asked him if there would charges related to the SNAI acquisition and he said no. I also asked about the timing of the SNAI acquisition and when he expected it to be profitable. This is because the filing said that that unit lost about $800K last year. He said that SNAI is already profitable this year, and that it is a great addition to the entire SIMC network in the US. They are also planning on expanding its capabilities because of the current demand for its products. This was a relief because I was a little concerned about a potential negative effect of the SNAI acquisition on the bottom line despite a $1M or so revenue increase this quarter.

This quarter's earnings are likely to be strong because the sector is hot and because SIMC has added 2 new plants early this year. The new Matamoros, Mexico plant was started up in January, 2005 during 1Q 2005. A second plant was added to the system in May 2005. That plant, located in North Carolina, is already established and generates of about $1.5M/quarter or over 10% of SIMC's revenues.
Worldwide, SIMC operates 11 manufacturing plants including China, Mexico, Scottland, and six plants in the United States.

DO YOUR DD!!
SIMC is indeed moving. When this puppy starts moving before earnings it is unstoppable. We might see $5.5 or higher in just a few days.
I like your picks Wise. Man, it is hard to buy shares of SIMC. I've put an AON order yeasterday fot 5K shares at $3.75 and they walked all over me and did not get any. Today I am getting partiall fills, but I believe that anything under $4 will prove to be a bargain in just a few days.
That was a sharp move up during the last trading hour. Once SIMC goes past $4.25, it could run to the mid $5's very easily as it has done often in the past.
why is volume so low?
One of the reasons is that the float is very low (1.8 M shares). But more importantly, there are too few shares available for purchase at these levels. What I usally do is I wait for a spaculator to put up a large sell order a few cents behind the lowest ask (to scare investors and to continue accumulating at low prices) and then I go for the kill buying the whole order. That is, if the price is reasonable. IMO, anything below $4.5 will prove to be dirt cheap real soon. Otherwise, they only let you buy a few hundred shares at a time.
Take a look at the chart above. You will notice that SIMC traded over 10 million shares in two days while gaining over 100% to reach almost $8/share. Look at GIGA's trading yesterday. SIMC can act the same way only in a more pronounced way since SIMC's float is 50% smaller than GIGA's.
SIMC keeps moving up nicely. It should move to $5.5 area by earnings time (less than two weeks from today)
Get ready for a very volatile week of trading until the momentum takes over and pushes SIMC past $5 next week.
Countdown to earnings is underway.
Last call for "cheap" shares in my opinion. You might be able to pick some around $4 today while MMs are positioning themselves for the inevitable rally. Play their game and you'll be a winner.
nice call. applause.
what do u expect for earnings?
are they announcing today?
Thank you rocket. Earnings will be out next week. SIMC is a lot like like GIGA. It is a super earnings play and its followers do not want to be left behind. It is better to pay $5 than $7 in just a few days.
SIMC actually is better than GIGA for the following reasons:
* It is consistently profitable
* It has half of GIGA's float
* Twice the revenues
* Twice the net income.
GIGA flew all the way to $8.4 two weeks ago in anticipation of earnings.

Up 18% today. Nice call, Wiseman. Applause.
Thank you Melf. I believe that SIMC is just warming up. Next week will be wild......a lot like April.
Last "slow" day in relative terms will be Friday. I expect volume/price to go up substantially beginning on Monday.
This one is not for the faint of heart ..... You could see $7 - $8 this week (most likely Wedneday). The stock will probably take 10 to 20% intra day swing in both directions Monday and Tuesday. Once volume reaches 300K/day, the swings will be replaced by a smoother upwards move.
SIMC is an adrenaline junkie special this week...... >:D
P.S. Also check out earnings plays NGRU and EXXA this week....DD on both in this site.
Good luck to all this week!!
Very predictably, MM's found a couple of stop losses with a few 100-share trades.
Great entry point under $5. This won't last
SIMC will bounce back momentarily. It appears that MMs squeezed every single cheap share. Once buying pressure resumes, SIMC will break out. This happens before every quarterlyearnings report
NICE BOUNCE TODAY
They reported three cents around 3:30PM this afternoon. Looks like the market didn't like it. It sold off on relatively heavy volume, down $1.06 to $3.60.

Do you think this stock will rebound back to the 4's anytime soon? If so, I may consider buying a little bit of it.
Thanks
I posted this in the SANM thread. Please someone help me. Newbie here. I am interested in investing in SIMC. From my DD sounds like a solid and profitable litle company. However, I am a penny trader and I amot used to putting my money on expensive stocks (for me anyway).
Here is what I said.
SIMC is listed as SANM competitor. SIMC is also going up today. Someone said that SIMC will report 3Q earnings next Tuesday. Is SIMC going up because of SANM or because they expect strong earnings? I see that SIMC has a very low float, something like a million shares.
Anyone care to comment? anyone in SIMC? TIA
This post about SIMC was on my Yahoo board this morning. Someone mentioned that it came from this board. That is why I am here. I looked and looked for this post but I could not find it. Sounds fairly recent to me.
Did anyone see this post?
SIMC's Earnings Next Tuesday. Don't be left out!
Simclar (Nasdaq: SIMC) is very explosive around earnings time ($5, $6, $7 plus spikes).
3Q financial results from SIMC are likely to be very strong as discussed in more detail later in this post and that might cause a huge spike.
Competitor SANM posted strong results yesterday and is a big gainer today. The big difference is the float. SIMC's is only 1.8M shares!!

Last quarter (2Q 2005) earnings were disappointing when compared to the year ago quarter. The reasons for that have been identified and already corrected by the company as discussed below. I believe 3Q results will be a surprise to the upside and should beat 2Q 2005 and 3Q 2004 handily.
SIMC Chairman Sam Russell commented upon the release of 2Q 2005 financial results on August 12:
"It is disappointing to report a decrease in sales in the quarter compared to the same period in 2004; however, this is caused by two of our plants in particular. One of these plants generated significant sales in the second quarter of last year due to above average demand from two of its customers. Unfortunately, there has been no such similar demand in the current year, with the result that sales for that plant have decreased by $707,000 (53%) in the second quarter of 2005.
We are continually monitoring the performance of that plant to ensure that all possible actions are being taken to increase its levels of business... and are pleased to note that it has now returned to profit and we expect it to remain profitable throughout the third quarter.
..."The other plant in question has experienced a general decrease in business levels in the quarter, with the result that its sales are down by $808,000 (29%) in the second quarter of 2005. I'm pleased to say that, since the end of the second quarter, that plant has been successful in winning a significant order which will result in significant sales growth in the remainder of 2005 and on into subsequent years..."
...."The sales reductions at these plants decreased our profitability in the quarter..."
In other words, the two plants responsible for the drop to 3c/share net income in 2Q 2005, returned to profitability early in 3Q.
More importantly, the second plant mentioned in the report won "a significant order which will result in significant sales growth in the remainder of 2005 and on into subsequent years.." Obviously, the company won a lucrative multi-year contract and hopefully some details will be provided in the earnings release.
SIMC's Chairman Russell added:
.."Although the second quarter results were disappointing, we continued to expand our customer base and product offerings. The outlook for the company as a whole is good for the second half of 2005, and we expect sales and profitability to increase over the first half of the year."
Worldwide, SIMC operates 11 manufacturing plants including China, Mexico, Scottland, and six plants in the United States. SIMC has invested considerable resources in the China plant/region this year. CEO expects huge growth in the region now and in the future.
SIMCs geographical/product/customer diversification lowers the risk considerably. That is a big reason why SIMC is consistently profitable and has been profitable in 9 out of the last 10 years. Not many companies can claim that.

There may be a lot of suspicion on SIMC after a poster by the handle of WISEMAN was pumping this stock and some other low float stocks. Check this MB http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=3295.0
Whether or not someone was pumping this stock, the fundamentals are very strong based on my DD.
A lot of people seem to think so. SIMC is up again today.
For those of you that might be following this stock, this is what somenone posted at the SIMC board (BTW, does anyone have a chart for SIMC? TIA)
Simclar, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIMC) is a consistently profitable global contract manufacturer of electronic and electro-mechanical products.
Regarding 3Q 2005 and 4Q 2005, SIMC's Chairman Russell said on the 2Q 2005 release:
.."....The outlook for the company as a whole is good for the second half of 2005, and we expect sales and profitability to increase over the first half of the year."
Unlike other low-float microcaps, SIMC does not depend on one industry or ane big customer. SIMC has over a dozen plants and hundreds of customers worldwide. SIMC operates manufacturing plants in China, Mexico, Scottland, and six plants in the United States.
SIMCs geographical/product/customer diversification lowers the risk considerably. That is a big reason why SIMC is consistently profitable and has been profitable in 9 out of the last 10 years. Not many companies can make that claim.

Based on the CEO's bullish comments about the 2nd half of 2005, SIMC may surprise the street with a record 3rd quarter next week causing another April-like explosion. Don't be surprised if the company reports 10c/share + net income. Why?
- The two plants that lost money and caused the 3c/share net income aberration in 2Q are and will be profitable in 3Q and at least 4Q.
- The company only recognized revenues for 2 months for its new plant acquired in 2Q 2005(SNA). One month of revenue from that plant amounts to half a million $$ and will show up in 3Q results.
- The new state of the art Matamoros plant started up in 1Q 2005 is gaining traction and will bring lots of revenue and net income.
- SIMC has invested considerable resources in the China plant/region this year. CEO expects huge growth in the region now and in the future.

Last quarter as soon as the earnings came out every one sold. Be careful.
I am in this too and watching very carefully.
Lalitha
Thank you Lalithao. That is a nice chart. My prior repost makes some valid points about why the gain might be sustainable this time. The Chairman has said that the 2nd half of the year will be better than the first half in revenues and earnings. The big question is by how much. Some seem to think that SIMC might surprise with $16M revenues and over 10c/share net income on both quarters (Investorshub). If that happens, SIMC might be on its way to becoming a mini BOOM
Regardless of the Bullsh*t surrounding the hyping of this stock, it is going up.
Lets concentrate on the posts and not necessarily the source.
When are the earnings coming out??
FYI, SIMC is looking strong today. Could it be that someone knows that earnings are very strong?
So Wiseman, errrrrr, I mean Andicito, when are the earnings coming out.

Regardless of what the chairman said, the market still rules. If there is no buyers then the stock doesn't mean very much. If you read the link I gave you, the more experienced members did not like the fact that:
1.) It doesn't have enough trade volume which is very important.
2.) As you said......(Insiders own 75% of the company), low float
I sent an e-mail to the CEO asking about earnings.
http://www.simclar.com/welcome.htm
I like a profitable co. with a low float. That is what is going to make this stock move. Today the stock is up 6% on 6xadv. The BV is $2.27 - more than 50% of the price.
Some of the more "experienced" members have been trading low float sub penny stocks where the 3sof people were the only players. SIMC is a blue chip compared to them.

Hello Snowcat,
Our earnings release will not be until the end of next week. Our offices were closed for a week due to Hurricane Wilma and therefore we need the extra time in order to complete the Form 10-Q.
Steven
Filed a NT 10-Q on Friday postponing their qtrly filing for no more than 5 days due to hurricane damage. Word seems to be a Friday filing. Certain info regarding notable changes in income and/or rev were included in this filing. This was posted on the Yahoo board.
"Yesterday's filing give important insights about the significant and fast improvement in the performance of the SNAI acquisition since the announcement was made a few months ago:
1) SNAI's revenues have increased significantly from the $5.48M reported in 2005 to the $7.2M annualized run rate per the filing ($1.78M in 3Q).
2) SNAI is losing about $30K/month after taxes compared to the $76K/mo reported in the acquisition on 40% less revenues!!!
To understand the significance of yesterday's filing, you have to understand what the company said in the announcement of the SNAI acquisition."
This is what SIMC said about the aquisition a few months ago:
...."On May 19, 2005, Simclar, Inc. (the "Company") purchased from Simclar Group Limited ("Simclar Group"), the owner of 73.4% of the Company's outstanding common stock, all of the outstanding common shares of Simclar (North America), Inc. ("SNAI"), a North Carolina corporation. SNAI is a comprehensive fabricator of sheet metal components and higher level assemblies that operates a 95,000 square foot manufacturing and assembly facility in Winterville, North Carolina. SNAI recorded a net operating loss in 2004 of approximately $811,000 on sales of approximately $5,476,000 (unaudited)....."
This is what the filing says:
(3) Is it anticipated that any significant change in results of operations from the corresponding period for the last fiscal year will be reflected by the earnings statements to be included in the subject report or portion thereof?
[X] Yes [ ] No
Explanation of Anticipated Change:
The Registrant expects that the inclusion of the results of operations of Simclar (North America), Inc. (SNAI), which was acquired by the Registrant effective May 1, 2005, will have the effect of increasing the Registrant's sales by approximately $1,780,000 and reducing income before income taxes by approximately $181,000, in comparison to the three months ended September 30,
2004. SNAI's pretax loss for the quarter is due primarily to the seasonality of sales to a single customer
It is obvious from the figures reported in the
This means that 3Q revenues for SIMC as a whole could easily exceed $16M if we add $1.8M from SNAI and $1M from the new Matamoros plant to 3Q 2004 revenue of $13.2M. That's a 20%+ increase in revenues.
Since the SNAI contribution to net income (after taxes) is about $90K or 2c/share, SIMC might still report a net income in the 6c to 10c/share range with the improvemets that the Chairman noted that were implemented in two plants this quarter. You couple that with record revenues of over $16M and we fly to the moon IMO.
Yesterday's knee-jerk reaction was the fear of the unknown and the lack of understanding of what the filing was saying. "
Earnings blow - I guess this stock was all pump after all.
Down 15% on 10X adv
Lesson learned: do not buy low volume stocks and if it is pumped too much, ignore it.
Simclar, Inc. Announces Third Quarter Profits
Friday November 18, 10:07 am ET
HIALEAH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2005--Simclar, Inc. (NASDAQ:SIMC - News), a multi-plant electronics contract manufacturer reported its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2005.
Revenue for the third quarter of 2005 was $16,592,000, an increase of 25.4% from $13,233,000 in the third quarter of 2004. Excluding the acquisition of Simclar (North America), Inc. ("Simclar NA"), which was effective May 1, 2005, revenue for the third quarter of 2005 would have been $14,911,000, up 11.9% from the third quarter of 2004.
Net income for the quarter was $242,000 ($.04 per share) versus $486,000 ($.08 per share) in the third quarter of 2004. Excluding the acquisition of Simclar NA, net income would have been $353,000 ($0.05 per share) for the quarter.
Simclar Chairman Sam Russell commented: "The sales trend in the quarter is encouraging, with an increase of 11.9% over the third quarter of 2004, excluding the impact of the acquisition of Simclar NA, with several new contracts benefiting the top line. However, there is still room for improvement in profitability. Increased material costs have impacted gross margin compared to 2004, as well as increased use of temporary labor to facilitate the ramp-up on new contracts. Management expects efficiencies to improve as these new contracts continue and the level of temporary employees to decrease accordingly. In addition, the results of Simclar NA have been disappointing to date, and this is primarily due to order push-outs from one of its major customers. Management expects this facility to return to profitability in 2006. The other significant factor affecting net income is the increase in interest expense from 2004 due to increased borrowing in order to fund the expansion in Mexico, as well as higher interest rates.
Although the third quarter net income was disappointing, we continued to expand our customer base and product offerings and will work on increasing efficiencies on the new products. Management still believes that the outlook for the company is good and we expect that sales and profitability for the second half of the year as a whole will increase over the first half of the year, and look forward to strong sales and income growth over 2005 levels in 2006."
Simclar, Inc., with six North American manufacturing locations, has been engaged in contract manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical products for OEMs for 29 years.

Simclar Chairman, Sam Russell, commented: "I am very pleased with the continued improvements in performance we started to see in the fourth quarter of 2005. Our commitment to grow organically and through strategic acquisitions is generating excellent results in sales and profitability. The recent addition of Simclar Interconnect Technologies has been well received by our customers and we anticipate significant opportunities from the added production capabilities. We are now able to provide our OEM customers with a one-stop shop for metal fabrication, cabling solutions, printed circuit board assemblies, advanced backplane interconnect solutions and higher level assemblies."
Litton Interconnect has a reputation as a world-leading supplier of high-performance backplane interconnect solutions to major blue-chip customers in markets as diverse as network, wireline and wireless infrastructure, defense and electronic data processing. Backplane interconnect systems form the core of high-end electronic systems and provide the means for power distribution and data communications between electronic sub-system building blocks. Adding the ability to provide backplane interconnect solutions with SIMC's metal fabrication, cable and harness, printed circuit board, and high level assembly capabilities enables Simclar to offer a highly appealing single-source solution to the electronics OEM market.
SIMC has acquired Litton Interconnect with cash thus avoiding dilution. SIMC has acquired several manufacturing facilities in recent years with cash.

Why is it harder to get shares? Just use a market order if you really want in.
I ended up doing that. Thank you for the suggestion. I always use limit orders.
Tomorrow will be interesting ...radart it. The company usually issues Financial results during the trading hours and not in the PM or AH like most.
SIMC is looking strong going into earnings....UP & UP!!!!
Hmmmm...such little volume makes this puppy jump like that. A strong earnings report could generate trading in the millions like it di in April 2005 when it jumped to $8.
This time, however, SIMC is stronger than ever and well positioned to grow into new areas with Litton
Keep an eye on SIMC tomorrow. Earnings are expected to be good....
This is one company I always make money with before earnings...unfortunately never after earnings. The earnings run up is always predictable and i have learned to sell regardless of how good earnings are "supposed" to be. GLTA in this.
damn why didnt i jump in on this in the morning. i didnt know they would announce earnings mid day. where can i find out when companies will announce there earnings, usually i go to yahoo and it says before the bell, or after the bell. i had no idea simc would accounce at noon like that. oh well, any other companies with good earnings expected this week?
Great call Terabemo! You hit a home run! Keep 'em coming
Up 30% on a miserable day!

Thank you Snowcat. I am glad you took my advise before earnings.
SIMC will be a real winner this year and beyond IMO. This one is a superbly run company. What is amazing is the the CEO and the President make a combined $250K/year!! I make more money than that.
SIMC's rally should continue tomorrow. Still way undervalued based on estimated 40c/share ++ net income and likely 40% revenue growth in 2006.
Pretty sweet!
Hey terabemo, why is your rating -48?? Did you pick a bad one before or something? LOL! I don't know, but I made more than a thin dime thanks to your heads up...so +1 for you.
Thank you Richard. They don't seem to like me much around here. But I don't care...as long as a few of you profit from my advice.
Have a great day.
What is strange is that the volume is REALLY low other than earnings time. What might bother me is when the volume drops to 12000 again and I have to sell.

Thank you Richard. They don't seem to like me much around here. But I don't care...as long as a few of you profit from my advice.
Have a great day.
Your welcome sir. *shrugs* no idea, you seem pretty OK to me LOL! I usually don't like thin volume stocks like this, but after checking it out, I'm glad I decided to take a chance on this one. I'll probably sell soon though, I don't want to get caught in an illiquid stock.
SIMC up another 15% today
EDIT: 20% today
EDIT: 25% today
LOL
another +1 for you...
The volume seemed to vanish after earnings, but it is up nicely today on 3x adv.
What is up. I scooped some up this morning.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=simc
Great co., but it needs volume!
SIMC is now #3 on IBD stocks under $10, 99 RATING (http://www.investors.com/tr10/trsuform1.aspx)
HOWEVER, THAT RATING IS BASED ON LAST Quarter earnings of .11 they are missing this:
On Monday May 15th, the co reported Q106 revs of
$21.9 mln, up
78% yr/yr, and EPS, of $0.11 vs $ 0.05 last year.
However, if the Litton acquisition had been in for the
whole quarter, Q1 revs would have been $31.5 mln
(154.9% increase) and eps of $0.22 (340% increase),
according to Note 13 of the recently filed 10-Q
(5/15/2006).
close 10,99$
Huge breakout on big volume for this one!
Jumped 17% and is near its high! Nice chart with a lot of potential.
One of the better ones out there.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=simc
simc would have been a nice short in the right shoulder. it gapped down below the 8.60 neckline of a big H&S Top this morning. closed down 35% today on almost 4 times average daily volume.
company said q2 reporting would be delayed due to accounting errors in mexican operations in 2005 and q1 of 2006.
target: 3.35 is IN PLAY
math:
high - 13.85
neckline - both data points were 8.60
13.85 - 8.60 = 5.25 points
8.60 - 5.25 = target: 3.35
That is some nice profits if you were a short hehe.
Lesson: Take profits fast.
Wow. Melf saw this peice of crap comming:
17:59 SIMC Simclar announces need to restate 2005 results (4.82 -0.49)
Co announced that due to the previously reported discovery of accounting errors in its Mexican operations during 2005, it has concluded that its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2005 can no longer be relied upon, and that it will be necessary to restate those financial statements. Co stated that it is still investigating whether these errors will also affect its financial statements for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, and advised that it is therefore unable to predict at this time whether a restatement of those financial statements will be required. As previously announced, management's effort to identify, quantify and correct the prior period errors has delayed the filing of the Company's report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

This super low floater seem to be ready to bounce.
So far SIMC has accumulated 30c/share net income for the first 3 quarters of 2007 on 80% revenue growth!!!
The current P/E is less than 15 and a P/S ratio of 0.25.
With a float of only 1.6M shares SIMC explodes to the $10+ range in a New York second.
4Q results will be out next month and will pulverize comparables.
I see an 100% gain within 2 months here.
Great upside here folks.

SIMC is starting to bounce. SIMC is even more explosive than HAUP with even stronger fundamentals. I recent months SIMC has traded several times above $10.
rayongthai,
The last time that you pumped and dumped SIMC under some other screen name, it exploded alright. It blew up from a high of 13.83 to a low of 4.15.
BUYERS BEWARE: Notice that the 70% crash in the stock doesn't get mentioned by a "Pump and Dumper."

I see an 100% gain within 2 months here.
Notice that those kinds of gains always are put out there by the "Pump and Dumper."
SIMC now is in the "PUMP Phase," ahead of earnings, so yes, it certainly could rally a lot more, especially with this kind of pumping.
SIMC has traded 29,134 shares so far today. It's very illiquid, so be aware of that. When these stocks come down, they're vicious (see the gap down on the chart...the "DUMP Phase").
Melf....you are not saying anything about SIMC's fundamentals. Find me another stock with better fundamentals at similar P/E and P/S metrics. SINC is in a growth phase that will be able to sustain a higher price.
You said the same thing about HAUP and HAUP is mantaining its gains because its current fundamentals can support current valuations.
Just because you don't like a stock does not mean that you can make blanket statements without even spending one minute to do a responsible and impartial DD.

Rayongthai,
The only interest that I have in these stocks is in making unsuspecting members of the 3SOF community aware of the fact that you repeatedly create new screen names (and even talk to yourself under different screen names) to "Pump and Dump" these low floaters.
SIMC, with only 1.6M shares on the float, is poised for a significant bounce in the next few days. SIMC is an easy 2-bagger in just a few weeks from now.
SIMC is growing profitably at a phenomenal rate.
Consider SIMC's financial performance:
- 2005 revenues: $61M............Est. 2006 Revenues: $110M........Up 90+%!!!!
- 2005 Net Income: $950K or 15c/sh........Est 2006 net income: $2.5M or 40c+/sh....Up 250%!!!
- 4Q 2005 Rev: $18M.........Est. 4Q 2006 Rev: $31M......Up 70%+
- 4Q 2006 Net Income: $192K or 3c/share...Est. 4Q 2006 Net Income: $650K..10c/share.....300% increase!!!
The financial performance I described about is something to brag about....don't you think so?.
SIMC is not shy about issuing preannouncements. The last time the preannounced strong quarterly results the stock went up 75%. With only 1.6M shares on the float, a 50% - 100% increase in a day is not out of the question. SIMC's fiscal 2006 ends December 31, 2006.
The above results/estimates come from published SIMC financial performance:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=SIMC (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=SIMC)
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/061114/20061114006267.html?.v=1 (http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/061114/20061114006267.html?.v=1)
I don't think SIMC's pps will erode further so I am accumulating at these prices......there are very few no-brainers in the market, and SIMC is definitely one of them. Once this puppy turns, it will be very difficult to find shares to buy. I know that from experience.
If you follow the company history, SIMC had been very aggressive in the acquisition area. I don't think they are done acquiring profitable companies. I see SIMC as a $20+ stock in about a year.

DO YOUR DD!!
This kind of thing should be illegal. Take it to the yahoo boards.
well, 2 words about why i have bought SIMC recently:
pro:
1.super low float - absolute as well as relative to all shares issued.
2.bullish price graph
3.RSI(37). historically if it stays hovering above 30, it never broke this but goes UP.
4.decent rev.growth YoY, profitable.
5.current market supports low floater/small cps rather than big cps.
contra:
1.don't like MACD
2.debt, think they're ready to raise some extra funding ( like CTTY did)
* * *
volatility is not a problem for small speculator like me, hoping to catch 1-2 days'
price & vol. peak.
using STOP and in only for short time.target 7.40.
gl everyone
They will not raise funds according to company...not anytime soon. SIMC usually taps on funds from the parent company located in Scottland. If SIMC goes into an acquisition binge it will not be for a few quarters since they are integrating their most recent acquisitions.
I expect SIMC to bounce to the $6.5++ territory next week.
SIMC is about to move up. That large sell order at $5.83 is not real ..he's been moving that one around from the $5.5's.....it was 40K and now he only has 30K left. I ate 10K at $5.66 and he quickly retreated....LOL
yep....this one is headed for $6+ soon. This week more likely
The big sell order is being consumed as the seller drops the price trying to depress the PPS. Once that order is gone SIMC can easily fly to $6+ since there is no resistance above it

WARNING TO 3SOF MEMBERS:
SIMC is trading at the low for the move off the Dump from 9.50. EVERYTHING in the square above this price of 5.44 is resistance.
Additionally, EVERYTHING is resistance above that 8.60 neckline of the H&S Top, when SIMC last was Pumped, Dumped, and Crashed.
After that 12.6K sell order at $5.56 is taken out SIMC will go much higher.
I saw that order shrink from 40K a few days ago. If I had more money I would eat up that order in a NY second. I bought 5K from it today and ahppy abput it. It is very hard to buy chunks of this stock in normal days.
melf:
your point of view here is as right and "proven in practice" :) as is the standpoint of rayongthai.....
do not take somebodys convinience in something so personally. maybe you got burned with low floaters. :) we all get burned sometimes.
if using various aliases is allowed here, so why your"warnings", i think users of 3st are sufficiently educated about pure hype. why don´t you trust your co-posters here?
there are facts in favour of buy recommendation for SIMC.

akam,
I think that it's adding something to this thread to point out that rayongthai is intentionally misrepresenting the truth about SIMC when he says:

That simply isn't the truth, and rayonthai knows that. If you don't think that it adds something for me to point that out, and that it's just "rosy noise," maybe someone else appreciates knowing about the overhead resistance in this stock.
i'd rather call it filling a gap of " crush day" , because of remarkably higher volume on gap up.... so definitly 75%buy here.....u could not convince me because of that 1( one ) day. ;) no offence.gl

akam,
I'm not trying to convince you of anything.
I'm simply pointing out the fact that everything from here on up to 13.85 is resistance, and that rayongthai is intentionally misrepresenting that, as he has done before.
rayongthai is not a guru for investing in SIMC.i am talking about fundamentals as well.bet that here are lots of threads praising(hyping) , intentionally or not, stocks of co-s that do have remarkably worse fundamentals than our poor and crashed SIMC does. why not put a warning to all of those threads?
no need to mix spammers and companies!
penny stock section is almost 100% hype.
no use of pasting 3 times the same graph. this is spam.our eyes are ok.
i have spoken.gl.
Don't miss the bounce. Some investors use SIMC as a swing trade...and they make some moey in the process because of its incredible volatility. For those who lile that type of trading and have the time to do so, this is probably and excellent entry point ($5.4)
Today SIMC went as high as $6.07 and then it was pressured down to this level. This can happen day in and day out for some easy $$$. Unfortunately I have a regular job and I can't afford the time to watch these swings closely. Mid term, ( 1 - 3 months) however, i'll be a big winner with SIMC because i am convince that it will double after 4Q earnings
Good luck
OK....Bounce is underway....easy 50c/share swing-traders dream daily until we get some news...after that all bets are off. I am keeping mine for $10+++
did you miss the bounce??......it's running again
SIMC is looking strong...more stable today
Looks loke SIMC is ready to breakout
I like the way SIMC is trading today....a lot more stable...no huge up and down bumps.
Strong support at $5.9....this one can bounce back real fast into the $6.5 terri
...:)
SIMC IS BREAKING OUT!!!
I expect an interesting trading week for SIMC next week.
I've studied SIMC and I think you're right, th stock is undervalued. But average volume is so low that I couldn't consider it for a purchase.

Once SIMC goes over $6 it will never look back IMO. Those who sold in December for tax losses will start buying back before the uncoming blockbuster earnings.

Updated SIMC DD from Yahoo.........
Why would Jim Cramer know that SIMC, with only 1.7M shares on the float and less than $40M market cap, even existed??...I guess because he likes money????
Jim Cramer recently stated:
......"I've locked in some partial profits on positions that have good strengtht this morning and added to positions such as Micronetics Wireless (NOIZ:Nasdaq) and Simclar (SIMC:Nasdaq). .."

SIMC recently acquired Litton InterConnect (now Simclar Interconnect), a profitable division of Northrop Grunman. This is a a world-leading supplier of high-performance backplane interconnect solutions to major blue-chip customers in markets as diverse as network, wireline and wireless infrastructure, defense, aerospace, and electronic data processing.
The Ozark Newsstand recently reported that Simclar Interconnect inked a deal under which it would move its operations and 115 jobs in Springfield, MO, to Ozark, MO.
The city of Ozark granted Simclar a generous tax incentive under which the company will lease machinery and equipment for $1 per year for five years. Simclar will receive roughly $500,000 in tax credits.
This incentive package is an additional 15c/share to SIMC's bottom line
The Ozark Newsstand quoted Mayor Donna McQuay as saying, "We've been working on this for about a year. The deal is done; they are already doing the infill. They hope to be in soon."
Simclar Announces 2006 Results
Friday March 30, 5:01 pm ET
HIALEAH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Simclar, Inc. (Nasdaq:SIMC - News) today announced financial results for the fourth quarter of 2006 and for the full year that ended December 31, 2006. Results for the fourth quarter and for the full year of 2006 include the consolidated operations of Simclar, Inc. and its subsidiaries. For the fourth quarter of 2006, Simclar had net income of $949,000 or $0.15 per share, compared to net income of $192,000 or $0.03 per share for the fourth quarter of 2005. For the calendar year 2006, Simclar had net income of $2.9 million or $0.44 per share, compared to net income of $947,000 or $0.15 per share for 2005.
For the year 2006, Simclar reported total revenues of $116.0 million compared to $61.0 million in 2005, a 90% increase. For the fourth quarter of 2006, revenues increased $15.1 million or 83.5% to $33.2 million compared to $18.1 million for the fourth quarter of 2005.
Sam Russell, Chairman, stated, "I am pleased with the growth in revenues and profits resulting from our adding the backplane interconnect process to our existing capabilities in metal fabrication, cabling solutions, printed circuit board assemblies, and higher level assemblies. Our growth has come from both new and existing customers who are looking to consolidate their business with suppliers that can meet all their needs. We continue to seek operating efficiencies and opportunities to leverage all our capabilities to bring higher value to our customers."
Simclar, Inc., with five North American manufacturing locations, and two regional Sales/NPI locations, has been engaged in contract manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical products for OEMs for 31 years.
TARGET: $15+ in 2008
SIMC will report 2Q 2007 next week. The recent nasty market has SIMC trading near the 52-week low making it a great buy under $6.
On May 15, 2007 SIMC reported 10c/share 1Q 2007 net income vs. 8c/share in 1Q 2006.
Revenues were $31,407,512, up 44% from $21,822,731 in the same period in 2006.
Despite this significant improvement, SIMC management was not very happy with these results and expects improvements in every quarter of 2007 and beyond.
Sam Russell, Chairman, commented, "Although the first quarter of 2007 showed a 44% increase in sales over the first quarter of 2006, our performance did not meet the internal goals we had set as a management team. Some of our plans for vertical integration of products had been delayed due to customer review and acceptance. We believe that these delays are temporary, and we will see the increased benefit of this integration throughout the rest of 2007."
Jim Cramer recently stated:
......"I've locked in some partial profits on positions that have good strength ....... and added to positions such as Micronetics Wireless (NOIZ:Nasdaq) and Simclar (SIMC:Nasdaq). .."
Why woulD Jim Cramer even know about tiny SIMC?...I believe it is because SIMC is a growing and superbly managed company making money every year ......recession or no recession.

David,
Please at least take a look at SIMC sometime soon. It has been rising rapidly lately and will probably continue to do so for a while. As I said earlier:
trading at a forward P/E of about 8 and a P/S of less than 0.5.
1. ProfileSimclar, Inc. (
SIMC) operates as a contract manufacturer of electronic and electro-mechanical products primarily in the United States. It provides electronics manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers in the data processing, telecommunications, instrumentation, and food preparation equipment industries. The company offers printed circuit boards (PCBs), finished products, subassemblies, molded and nonmolded cable assemblies, wire harnesses, injection molded, and electronic assembly products. Simclar provides a range of PCB products, such as pin-through-hole assemblies, and low and medium volume surface mount technology assemblies; and mixed technology PCBs, which include multilayer PCBs. It also offers cable and harness assemblies, such as multiconductor, ribbon, coaxial cable, and discrete wire harness assemblies. In addition, Simclar offers contract manufacturing, and systems assembly and integration services, as well as delivers test engineering and materials management services. Further, it provides reworking and refurbishing services, which comprise redesign, rework, refurbish, and repair of materials and subassemblies; backplane interconnect solutions to customers in the markets as such as network, wireline and wireless infrastructure, and defense and electronic data processing; and manufacturing services that includes computer integrated manufacturing and engineering services, quick-turnaround manufacturing and prototype development, materials procurement, inventory management, developing customer oriented manufacturing processes, and tooling and test sequences. The company was founded in 1976. It was formerly known as Techdyne, Inc. and changed its name to Simclar, Inc. in 2003. Simclar is based in Hialeah, Florida. Simclar, Inc. is a subsidiary of Simclar Group Limited.
2. Stock's History(http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=41131;image)
It's curious to note that SIMC went down in the 1996-2000 period, while the general market was booming. I guess this happened because EPS went down from $0.27 in 1995 to ($0.43) in 2001.
Since 2001, even though not in a linear way, fundamentals improved substantially, with revenues rising from $36 M to about $136 M expected for 2007, and EPS rising to $0.44 in 2006 and about $0.62 expected for 2007 (this estimate was made just by doubling what the company achieved in the 1st half, there are no analysts covering the stock - later in the analysis I've changed this expectation).
The current market cap is $72 M.
3. Short Term Chart(http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=41132;image)
We can see on this short term chart that the all time high around $13.85 has been a tough resistance. But let's study what happened in the pivotal points marked with numbers:
1) On May 15, 2006, SIMC rose 19.7% on volume above average of 439,300 shares. This happened because the company filed its 10-Q for the 1st quarter (http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/764039/000114420406020360/v043200_10q.htm), showing revenue rising 78% from the year ago level and EPS rising to $0.11 from $0.05. With $0.11 in one quarter investors thought $0.44 for a full year (which later proved to be accurate), so the stock closed at $5.7/$0.44 = 13 times earnings on that day, which was attractive.
Eventually it went as high as $13.85, or 31.5 times earnings, which was somewhat expensive.
2) On August 15, 2006, the stock plunged 35% due to the following news:
«Simclar, Inc. is unable to file on a timely basis its Form 10-Q for the
quarter ended June 30, 2006 due to the
discovery of accounting errors in its
Mexican operations during 2005 and the first quarter of 2006. The Company has
not yet been able to conclude whether these errors had a material effect on its
financial statements included in the Company's quarterly report on Form 10-Q for
the quarter ended March 31, 2006 or its annual report on Form 10-K for 2005.
The Company's efforts to identify and correct those errors necessarily affect
its ability to prepare and file on a timely basis its quarterly report on Form
10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, both because of the diversion of the
time and effort of its accounting staff to the identification and correction of
the errors, and also because such corrections may affect the preparation of its
financial statements for the second quarter.»
The previous rise was put into question and the stock came off to the previous level.
3) Then, on October 12, 2006, SIMC rose 76% :o. The news was:
• SIMCLAR INC Files SEC form 8-K/A, Results of Operations and Financial Condition, Non-Reliance on Previous Financials, (http://biz.yahoo.com/e/061012/simc8-k_a.html)
EDGAR Online (Thu, Oct 12)
They made the following adjustments:
Because Q1 EPS was revised down from $0.11 to $0.08, expectations for the full year went down to $0.32, so at that day's close of $8.94, the stock was trading at 28 times earnings, which is expensive for a company making accounting errors and saying it has deficient internal controls. The stock came off to completely close the gap originated by the 76% one day rise.
4) On April 2, 2007, SIMC had another gap up, this one of smaller proportions, on the following news ... actually, there weren't any news on that day, at least not released by SIMC, perhaps it was some competitor's news or something. Anyway, in a few weeks time that gap was also closed.
5) The current advance phase, which took the stock from a low of $5.27 to a high of $14.14, had the following catalyst:
• Simclar, Inc. Announces Results for Second Quarter 2007 (http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/070814/124965.html)
PrimeNewswire (Tue, Aug 14)
«Net income for the three months ended June 30, 2007 was $1,372,346 or $0.21 per share, compared to $709,033 or $0.12 per share in the same period in 2006.»
Naturally, with $0.21 EPS in one quarter investors immediately saw $0.84 for a full year, and with the stock trading at $6 when the news was out, inevitably it had to go higher, since the perceived earnings multiple was just 7. With the stock at $14 the multiple rose to 17, so that coupled with the $13.85 resistance level given by the previous all time high was enough to motivate bears to take the stock down to a low of $10.1 on Tuesday.
SIMC closed at $11.13 yesterday, so, with the current information of that one single quarter and extrapolating that for a full year, the current valuation is 13.25 times earnings, which is below the historical average. I guess investors, because they were bruised before, have attached a lower earnings multiple to Simclair, because of the fluctuations in revenue and earnings.
4. ConclusionSIMC looks cheap at this point and if it can have a more stable fundamental improvement it will certainly rise. Investors have been positively and negatively surprised by this company a lot in the past, and that partially explains the low valuation of the company, despite its strong EPS growth.
Anyway, looking at SIMC's business, number of employees, revenue level and competitors (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/co?s=SIMC) I must say that it doesn't look like it's worth just $72 M. I say that with the current fundamental information the stock looks undervalued and it is bound to go higher.
Good luck if you own it Jim897 :)

Well, it seems investors were negatively surprised by SIMC (again), as the stock plunged 70% in a couple of months. I want to know what happened on November 15th, 2007, when the stock fell 38%:
• Simclar, Inc. Announces Results for Third Quarter 2007 (http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/071114/131455.html)
PrimeNewswire (Wed, Nov 14)
«Net income for the three months ended September 30, 2007 was $415,330 or $0.07 per share, compared to $617,868 or $0.10 per share in the same period in 2006.»
Yep, after a $0.21 EPS in Q2, the company earned just 7 cents per share in Q3. This company's earnings are extremely volatile and this will make investors attach a lower than average earnings multiple to the stock. Say, 12 times earnings will be the norm. SIMC's fair value will be about quarterly EPS*4*12 according to historical trading patterns.
So, currently I see fair value at $0.07*4*12 = $3.36.
I guess there will be more downside action until we get another earnings release. Then it's anybody's guess, but I believe one can use "my formula" to quickly assess value.

We're about there now, with SIMC breaking down to new all time lows yesterday:
Ouch, 4th quarter results were out in March 31, they were really bad:
«For the fourth quarter of 2007, Simclar had a net loss of $64,088 or ($0.01) per share, compared to net income of $949,000 or $0.15 per share for the fourth quarter of 2006.»
With these results my "SIMC valuation formula" would return a negative value for the shares :P
ticker change
SIMC is now SIMC.PK
