Maybe the play for Fri. Off of bottom. I think little risk at the price. IF earnings good could rocket after 11am. I am going to get in the morning if it doesn't gap up.

News: Xenonics Announces Fourth Quarter 2006 and 2007 Outlook

Wow nice gain today 149% .... boy would I love to make that in 1 day.
XNN: the making of the next TASR?
XNN is trading @ 3.00
XNN makes infrared flashlights that can see in the dark at long distance. Management recently announced they will have significant increase in revenues and earnings last quarter. The conference call is Dec 14.
Obviously i think the stock will continue to move higher from here for at least the next two weeks.
Short/intermediate/longer term play.
I believe XNN will eventually see $12.
imo, XNN could become bigger than TASR. XNN products cost over $2,000 i've read. I would imagine that every police officer wants one (even if their department won't pay for it, i would imagine some would buy out of their pocket), every military personnel wants one, every important security checkpoints wants one, every homeland security personnel wants one, every hunter wants one, every pervert wants one, etc.) In contrast, the only people who wants a Taser are the police.
50% retracement of the gains makes 2.50 a great buy.

Super buy right here right now! 2.59
XNN stabilizing here and about to blow. No doubts at all.
Here goes our baby, the next TASR.
2.74 now
Somebody posting a rumor about XNN getting a 20 million contract for nite vision product.
most rumors are not true; else management would run into problems w/ the SEC.
Good call, will see $3.5 this week
sucka shorts getting burned!!!
December 14 is earnings.
It's gotta run and run it shall.
Ok. I gave trader dog the applaud.
They make a super flashlight that sees in the dark. What a concept!
The flashlight costs $2000. That is more than my car is worth!
Maybe they can include one with the purchase of a FRPT.ob vehicle
But with a low float and a bit of ZVUE momentum, it can be a big mover.
BTW - ZVUE comes out with their Handheld Entertainment product tomorrow.
Sold MOVI and bought XNN at $3. Hopefully won't regret it....but I like this chart set up for tomorrow...if she holds. ;D
In @ 2.96.
Witness the evolution of the next TASR! lol
3.04
Note the 9 million shares traded the first day of its dramatic rise. The entire float! Tell me nobody wants this stock and i'll send ya a cheeseburger if i'm wrong.

yes, she's flying! ;D
tocitygirl,
don't you know XNN is going to $12? It is, in my opinion. But let's worry about $5 first, which is already a foregone conclusion.
Be mindful of a possible selloff with the market the next two days.

Xenonics Extends Agreement With PerkinElmer
Friday December 8, 9:00 am ET
PerkinElmer to Ramp Up NightHunter Production
CARLSBAD, Calif., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (Amex: XNN - News), a leader in advanced illumination and low light viewing technology, is pleased to announce it has extended its exclusive manufacturing agreement with PerkinElmer (NYSE: PKI - News). The Company has issued a purchase order with PKI for 1,200 NightHunterII to be delivered between January 2007 and March 31, 2007. The Company has significantly reduced its inventory and must ramp up manufacturing to meet its second quarter forecast. Xenonics expects to place purchase orders with PerkinElmer throughout the year to develop a continued flow of product. At the same time, Xenonics and PerkinElmer are in the process of developing a manufacturing agreement to include other new products including SuperVision(TM). The first three thousand SuperVision(TM) devises will be produced at the Xenonics facility in Carlsbad, California beginning in January 2007. "We have an excellent relationship with PerkinElmer and they will play an important role in meeting our manufacturing requirements," said Jeff Kennedy, President and COO of Xenonics.
I know it's really hard to believe right now, but XNN is the next FRPT!
Management had already said they expect to generate significant shareholder value.
'The marketing roll out of SuperVision(TM) is well underway, with manufacturing scheduled for January 2007. The Company expects SuperVision(TM) to have a major impact on its revenue and profit in 2007. The allowance for patent protection previously announced will place SuperVision(TM) in a unique market position. At the same time, military programs for NightHunter illumination systems which have been discussed are now becoming a reality.
"We are in a rapid growth mode and expect to return significant shareholder value. The recent stock price decline cannot be explained. In my opinion, the current stock price does not reflect the Company's performance and potential," said Alan Magerman, Chairman of the Board.'

Xenonics to Boost Production of Night-Vision Goggles, Extends Pact With PerkinElmer

I did put a limit order on these 3 stocks for yesterday session but I only got XNN :D
-- ONNN limit order @ 6.80 but opened at 6.85 & never look back... damn it!! :(
-- HTI limit order @ 4.40 but LOD of that day was $4.55 ....sucker! :'( :'( :'(
I'm in @ 3.20 ;)
A huge breakout is coming. Don't be on the sidelines anymore. Look, today's press release says they are ordering 1200 units to be delivered by Perkins the first 3 months of next year. Multiply 1200 by $2400 a unit = nearly $3 million in revenues. They should exceed revenues of 2004: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=XNN&annual . I am not sure how much revenue the SuperVision googles will add to the overall revenues or whether the goggles are part of the $2400 unit. Either way, XNN should have a profitable year in 2007.
Who will take XNN as a company to the next level that few of us traders can imagine? It is no other than Mr. E Hopkins! He is probably building a strategic sales team right now, like he did at Surefire. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/061108/law028.html?.v=80
Don't just buy companies. Buy the management!
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that 2008-2009 is when XNN gets a Taser-like run.
A mind-bending moment indeed!

stay tuned......
Here comes $4!!!!!!! wow. Something big could be comin.
XNN is starting to break the 3.70 to 4.00 resistance... closing above $4.00 this week would be a fun ride.... ;)
Holy smokes, XNN is getting red hot right now. Defensive sector is rallying today, playaing well into XNN's hand. Yes my friends, we have lots to celebrate.
Go XNN!! :D
I jumped in again today. A little late at 3.60...but i like the volume and price movement so far :D
;D Hey, if that rumor of a possible $20 million contract is anywhere near the ballpark of the truth, then we have in our hands the next TASR indeed! In my opinion, we are just one big news away from a spectacular run. The best stock of 2007?
Nice close today Traderdog ;) ....I'm gaining 26 percent in just 2 sessions

Testimonials

Military and security organizations worldwide have recognized that seeing their target before being seen allows them to do their jobs better and safer. NightHunters are the products of choice to detect, recognize and identify your target first.
Here's what just a few of our customers are saying...
3/5th Marines "we have 16 of your Night Hunter II and they are Saving Lives at night!"
2BCT/10th MTN "It (NightHunterII) has saved lives over here with the IR capability."
CENTCOM "I was on a convoy in Iraq this week that was traveling over the highways. The NightHunter by far the brightest and most feared light in your eyes asset was used repeatedly to stop vehicles from coming near the convoy at night. The pencil beam shining from the gunner's turret always made the vehicles stop in their tracks just by holding it over their heads and slowly lowering it toward their vehicle. Only one kept coming and when the light hit his vision he stopped immediately over 500 yards away. As we rolled through towns the NightHunter brilliantly lit up the activities along the route of march."
3/504th PIR/82nd Airborne "...our security position was locked in place in such a way that nothing was getting in or out. However with that kind of mentality situations become prevalent in ways that one can't plan for. We arrived at dusk and by night fall the lights of the city added a dimension we weren't quite prepared for. The lights in the city would flare our NVG's causing certain areas in our sector of fire to become almost impossible to view thus limiting our field of vision. This is where having an IR light became literally a life saver. Having your NightHunter II to spot check areas of concern helped kept the men much safer. It also added a piece of mind knowing NO ONE other than coalition forces with NVG's could see the IR beam.
USMC 1st LAR Bn Wpns Co 3rd Plt "Your NightHunter light has been an incredible asset to my Marines and mission accomplishment for us. For Land Nav my point man has been able to spot roads in the darkness that we would otherwise not see until after the fact. If we use the light as a white light asset I can blind someone to the point that they have to stop all movement and they don't see us until we are on top of them. From a distance we can mark our position with the IR lenses on it. This has helped up bring CASEVAC to our positions faster and to allow other friendly forces know where we are. In difficult to impassible terrain the light has made it possible for us to find away through in a manner that enabled us me to meet a mission time table. Ever since the bulb has gone out in my Night Hunter, I have notice a degradation in unit capabilities and I have had to put my Marines in situations that were less safe. Thank you again for producing such an awesome product."
10th Mountain 1BCT "My Brigade is currently conducting combat operations in Baghdad and we have found your handheld model to be extremely effective."
3rd ID B Co 3/7 IN "...let me tell you first hand how great of an impact they have made. I truly believe these lights have provided us with a great amount of force protection. We use them on nearly every night patrol we do in the Baghdad area to search for explosives."
3/4th Marines "We 'whitelight' people that are out after dark but not doing any real harm that we can assess. Just to let them know that we see them, and they're not as sneaky as they think they are. We use it to determine if there are wires coming from things to indicate an IED... such as dead animals, bags on the side of the road and newly poured concrete curbstones. We scan the river for intruders, I've lent it out to the watch posts and they don't want to give it back until it dies on them. We've used it for illumination for vehicle repairs, blinding detainees so that they cannot determine who is identifying them as criminal... it's daylight in a box. The Nighthunter isn't valuable... it's invaluable."
CENTCOM "Once again I want to thank you for your generous support of our efforts here in South West Asia. In these days of sensors and spy satellites we still are so dependant on the great product you make to see the level of detail that often means the difference between life and death. I am keeping you and your company in my prayers since you are such a vital support to what is right and just in this world which spends half of the time in the dark. Thanks again for the best light I have ever had the privilege of splitting the night with."
3rd ID 703rd BSB "...we employ your product for IED detection, blind and direct drivers of vehicles we believe to be a threat, and scanning our routes for insurgents. We have utilized your equipment in over 180 convoy escorts, covering over 5000 miles in the greater Baghdad area. The NightHunterII have performed as needed every time."
3rd ID 703d FSB "Your product is loved by our soldiers that use it. Our convoy support section, which ride in guntrucks, use your light to spot under bridges for IEDs, to warn oncoming vehicles off and to check for snipers. It is really an impressive product, and our soldiers love using it."
A 2-107 Cavalry, Camp Bondsteel "They are the best thing for night ops I have ever seen."
75th Ranger Regiment "...the new lights are great. We used them on the RSOVs and dismounted force on force and found that they are the best IR illuminator and target designator we have. Very rugged, dropped one out of an RSOV going about 25 mph on hardball and it still worked with no damage to the light. Definitely an improvement and well worth the effort to get them."
75th Ranger Regiment Highest marks possible. Work great. IR cover is great. The boys used them with the RSOVs and they totally dig them. Thanks for your work on it."
Delta Company/1st Battalion/325th AIR/82nd Airborne "While using the NightHunter in conjunction with their PVS-14s, the gunners were able to spot, identify, and effectively engage targets at ranges in excess of 1500 meters. These results were awesome! We also used the NightHunter on blocking positions, support by fire positions, and checkpoints. The results during these events were just as great. The leaders were able to identify enemy soldiers and vehicles at great distances, thus allowing them to direct fire and destroy the threat before the enemy could effectively use their weapon systems. Also, we were able to distinguish between friendly and enemy personnel and vehicles, thus eliminating the possibility of fratricide during our training operations. The NightHunter enabled us to accomplish our missions with greater effectiveness and safety. It seems to be an awesome product that would definitely be a combat multiplier in any combat ready unit."
1-327th IN/101st Air Assault "Just wanted to let you know that last month we received our NightHunterII, I was under the impression that it was a dead deal. We are very grateful to whoever it was that got the deal completed. Too many times the appropriations personnel don't really understand what we need. I had been in touch with our Division Master Gunner to try and get them and I am just glad that we have them now. We have used them extensively over the past three weeks. Recently we have employed them on our OP's. Since about November we have come under regular rocket attacks, 107mm and 122mm, real nasty stuff. Anyway, we use the NightHunterII IR capabilities to increase our visual range. They are most effective when used toward built-up areas. Our NVG's (PVS-14's) suffer greatly from the ambient light from electrical sources. The NightHunter really cuts through that."
A Troop, 1-7 Cavalry, 1st CD "We recently received NightHunterII illumination systems for use on our patrols around Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II, and our soldiers are excited and have nothing but good to say about them."
HHC 1-161 IN 3BCT 1 CD "We were issued 4 of your NightHunterII's and we need about 7 more, my BN commander wanted me to see if you can give me a quote on the 7 more we need."
D Troop/9th Cavalry - 2 BDE/1CD "My Reconnaissance Troop has four of your NightHunterII's, and we love them. With the IR cover we can paint targets for helicopters with no room for error up to 500-600 meters away. Simply awesome. And the white light is essential for working check points outside of Baghdad. One shot from the Night Hunter and we see everything." CPT Will Hickok
DIVARTY/4th Infantry "Received the first 188 lights. Awesome. They will make a big difference for our soldiers. Personally pulled one out last night and checked it out. It really does an awesome job. Just wanted to say thank you for your help and patience."
1-327th IN/101st Air Assault "Our request to you was an attempt to gain access to this equipment through a local purchase, unfortunately one the Army has considered purchasing them we have blocked from doing so. I truly hope that we can get these lights soon, in quantities of greater than 64. I can not stress the importance these lights have made for us, in fact it would almost seem that this light was designed for this type of warfare. Can you imagine what an advantage it is to be able to illuminate the road you are traveling on with the NightHunter in IR. We can see things long before they become problems for us and right now those problems are IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) and ambushes."
3/4th Marines "LOVE this thing. When I told the guys we should be getting a cable adapter in a couple weeks they were SO relieved. We kinda base our patrols around how long the nighthunter will last. One of the best advantages of the light, one of my Marines said, was that you can use it on the move. Thermal scopes are awesome, we have ton of experience with them... but you cant use them while you're moving."
well, we have until wednesday close to decide

If ya got itchy butterfingers, then just sell 1/2 on Wednesday and ride the rest.
Management already hinted us the good news two weeks ago. Why should we expect anything different? I think we going to $7-8 by Friday.

:D More likely than not, it's headed higher and closing higher tomorrow. Hard to believe but i think we see $5 tomorrow.
Possible Bear Wolfe Wave broke to the downside at 3.60.
Volume was weaker on each successive push higher, at Waves #3 and #5.
There was a Wave #5 upside fakeout, above $4.00.
If it's a completed Bearish Wolfe Wave, #6 is the downside target line.

Nice recovery off the 3.35 low to a new high of 3.84 for the session!
The break of the Wolfe Wave could have been a downside fakeout. Anything back inside the pattern, where XNN is now, at 3.80, has short squeeze possibilities.
The Wave #5 fakeout and the weaker volume at Waves #3 and #5 bother me, though, so I'll stay out of it.

Maxi,
Well-ll, she's rounding the Club House turn and heading for home, now at BID 3,63...ASK 3.64.
XNN has rallied 219% in just seven days, so a lot of good news already has been priced into the stock. Earnings better be very good, or it's ripe for "Buy the rumor...sell the news."
I don't always sell ahead of earnings, but in this situation, especially with that break of the Bearish Wolfe Wave and with the stock hanging perilously below it at the moment, I'd have to err on the side of caution to protect profits, and sell it.
Good luck!

XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (Amex: XNN), a leader in advanced illumination and low light viewing technology, today announced net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006 of $753,000, or $0.05 per diluted share, versus a loss of $3,198,000, or $0.20 per share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2005, as revenue increased more than four-fold to $2,340,000 from $529,000.
"We expect this trend of increasing revenue and profit to continue in fiscal 2007," said Alan Magerman, Chairman of the Board.
"One reason for our confidence is the planned commercial roll-out of our patented SuperVision(TM) night vision device in fiscal 2007. With its unprecedented resolution and range, zoom capability, light weight, and attractive pricing, we believe that SuperVision has the potential to revolutionize the night vision industry. U.S. patents on our SuperVision technology have been allowed and international patents have been filed. We have ordered components for 10,000 devices for delivery between January and August 2007, and production of the first 3,000 units is set to begin in January at our facility in Carlsbad, California.
"In addition, several of the military programs we have diligently pursued for our patented NightHunter family of high-intensity illumination systems are expected to come to fruition beginning this fiscal year. As we announced last week, we have authorized production of 1,200 NightHunterII's for delivery between January 2007 and March 31, 2007 to meet our second quarter forecast.
"The launch of SuperVision following more than two years of intensive development work will create significant new opportunities for Xenonics in law enforcement, public safety, recreational, and other large commercial markets that we believe will complement our military business and support Xenonics' rapid and sustained growth for years to come. Our goal is to build Xenonics into a significant growth company. With NightHunter and SuperVision, we have the right products to make it happen. In fiscal 2006 we recruited proven sales and marketing executives and developed the national distribution network required to achieve our aggressive revenue and profit goals. Our entire management team is energized and committed to effectively executing our business plan. We are increasingly confident about Xenonics' future," Magerman said.
Fourth Quarter Results
For the three months ended September 30, 2006, revenue more than quadrupled to $2,340,000 compared to $529,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2005. This increase primarily reflected the previously announced shipment of NightHunter systems to the Defense Logistics Agency.
Gross profit for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006 was of $1,767,000, which included $797,000 related to the sale of excess inventory during the period. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2005, negative gross profit of $1,704,000 included a $1,953,000 charge for excess inventory.
Selling, general and administrative expenses for the three months ended September 30, 2006 were $826,000, which primarily included $311,000 of non- cash stock-based compensation expense. This compares to selling, general and administrative expenses for the fourth quarter of 2005 of $1,636,000, which included $575,000 of non-cash stock-based compensation.
Net income for the three months ended September 30, 2006 was $753,000 or $0.05 per diluted share. This compares to a net loss for the three months ended September 30, 2005 of $3,198,000, or $0.20 per share.
At September 30, 2006, Xenonics reported working capital of $2,329,000, and a current ratio of 4.5. Magerman noted that all of the $2,194,000 in accounts receivable at September 30, 2006 have now been collected. The Company has no debt.
Fiscal 2006 Results
For the twelve months ended September 30, 2006, revenue increased to $4,833,000 compared to $4,434,000 for fiscal 2005. Net loss for fiscal 2006 was $1,488,000, or $0.09 per share, which included $1,102,000 of non-cash stock-based compensation expense. This compares to a net loss for fiscal 2005 of $5,004,000, or $0.33 per share, which included $1,052,000 of non-cash stock-based compensation expense.

njshiva,
That sure sounds good, doesn't it!?
As we all know, it's
the reaction to earnings that matters, so just a suggestion: watch out for a "Gap To Crap" opening like GIGM had on November 9, 2006, when it reported that Q3 net was nearly a quadruple, and that revenues doubled. UGLY "Gap To Crap" that day in GIGM, on heavy volume (chart below).
As I mentioned yesterday, there's a lot of good news factored into this stock, given the seven-day rally of 219%, and we all know the "Buy The Rumor...Sell The News" game.
Watch to see if XNN gaps up near or above its recent high, then begins to tank...tank...tank...
If this good news
isn't already factored in, XNN should show strength, and not tank right after the open.
Good luck to those of you long. I hope you get a BIG rally out of the earnings.

The Wave #5 fakeout and the weaker volume at Waves #3 and #5 bother me, though, so I'll stay out of it.
That looked rough ahead of earnings.
The Bearish Wolfe Wave target came close, but didn't quite get MADE.
CC is happening now, forget the short-term technicals .... ;)
XNN printed another penny below this 2.63, to 2.62, so that's close enough to consider the Wolfe Wave Target MADE. My lines could be off a little on this intraday Scottrade chart.
XNN is down 27.2% from yesterday's break of the Wolfe Wave, at 3.60. These WWs don't always work out, but this one was classic with the big Lead-in to Wave 1, the successively declining volume at Wave #3 and Wave #5, and the Wave #5 upside fakeout before the break.

Alister,
The short-term technicals are what the momo boys pay attention to. ;)
The conference call resulted in a reaction high in the 11:15AM bar, just below resistance from Wednesday's low, then XNN tanked almost 20% from that high to the Wolfe Wave target.
Ignoring the short-term technicals depends on our individual tolerance for risk, but XNN tanking from the break of the Wolfe Wave at 3.60 to the low of 2.61 at the Wolfe Wave target is a drawdown of 27½%, well beyond my own risk tolerance.

Yeah, you want to use a stop loss, particularly on these volatile stocks. They can be big winners, but they also can hurt you on the downside. You'll get 'em next time!

njshiva,
That's not a bad idea just to stay out at earnings especially, it seems, when a stock has had a big run ahead of reporting. As we discussed yesterday, stocks seem to tank so frequently on good earnings that we know the drill: "Buy the rumor....Sell the news."
It almost seems that if anyone TRIPLES or QUADRUPLES revenues, we should close our eyes, and automatically short it! :D

It will be interesting to see how this stock does, longer-term. I pretty much stick to the technicals and only have looked at it from the short-term perspective of that broken Bearish Wolfe Wave.

Traderdog,
Good luck with XNN. I don't have any opinion on the longer-term, but have enjoyed (and applauded) your information on the company.
I'm afraid I might have to go against the wise words of Melf, idiotically perhaps, and ignore the short term technicals.
$2.50 should provide good support from the long term. I think we see a bounce soon.
This revenue growth is substantial. Does anyone know anything about the price of the Supervision and the nighthunterII?

bjc,
I agree that 2.45-2.50 "should be" good support, and that XXN "should" bounce here, after falling 38.3% from Tuesday's 4.05 high.
My main concern on the break of the Bearish Wolfe Wave was the amount of risk involved if the target got MADE, which was substantial (27½% loss from the break), and my concern here is "what if" 2.45-2.50
doesn't hold?
After the Bearish Wolfe Wave target MADE at #6 on this chart, XNN had little rally, then rolled over and took out Thursday's 2.61 low.
It's possible that the Bearish Wolfe Wave has morphed into a H&S Top.
The neckline would be the 2.45 low at Wolfe Wave #1, on December 4, and the 2.61 low at the Wolfe Wave target #6.
The Right Shoulder would be the little rally off the Wolfe Wave target, at #6.
If that's what we've got, the H&S Top already has completed, and it already has broken to the downside.
If XNN can rally back above that "possible" neckline, that would put it out of Harm's Way and would put any further downside ON HOLD as long as it trades above there, but what XNN really needs to do, is to knock out the high of the "possible" Right Shoulder (the trading in the little circle, late Thursday and on Friday).
That would give the Bulls some encouragement, and some confidence to enter the stock long on an upside takeout of that shoulder.
In the interim, XNN is at risk for "A Parabolic Rally...And A Parabolic Return."
I'll explain that, next post on the daily chart, then we'll look at how both the 34/55 RSIs and the MACD are bullishly positioned here.
Another H&S Top possibility is that Friday's 2.49 low is the second data point for the neckline, which would make the neckline 2.45...2.49, XNN will rally here and put in a Right Shoulder at something under 3.60, then it will break the neckline and go down to the gap for a "Parabolic Return" of the 8-day 212% rally.
I'd suggest watching the quality of the next rally. Right Shoulders usually have volume that it less than the volume was in the Left Shoulder and in the Head. Right Shoulders also usually fail at some number below the high of the Left Shoulder, which was 3.60, on November 30.
If we see that, and then a break of 2.45-2.49 support, the Parabolic Return to the gap will be IN PLAY.
I never predict anything. That's just what I'd watch for, and I'd also use that 2.45-2.49 for a stop loss since it would be a broken pattern, and since there isn't any "logical support" below that. Technically, the stock would be at risk of going into freefall to the downside on a print of 2.44.
Just a suggestion.
Next, the 34/55RSI chart.
The 34/55RSIs are beautifully positioned at Bullish Synchronicity. The 34 RSI is 0.06 above the 55 RSI, so they're very compressed, which seems to act somewhat like Bollinger Bands, if you've ever observed a compression in the bands, prior to a rally or a breakdown.
At Bulish Synchronicity, I use the high of that day at my Buy pivot, so that's 2.88, Friday's high. A print today of 2.89 would be a Buy Signal from this particular indicator.
We always want to look at the chart when any indicator gives us a signal. In this particular case, we want to see XNN take out the high of that "possible" Right Shoulder in the hourly chart.
MACD is nicely positioned to bang higher off its signal line on any rally.
What we wouldn't want to see, is for XNN to put in a Right Shoulder then break the neckline, with MACD double-topping and going down below its signal line.
That would suggest confirmation of that sort of breakdown in the chart. :P
Good luck to everyone!
Bought today at $2.73.
I found the price of Supervision to be $1,100 to 1,400 depending on who the customer is, govt gets price break. They said in their most recent quarterly report they expect to deliver 10,000 Supervisions between Jan and Aug 07, so this gives you a general revenue estimate of easily $10 mil + for these two Qs. Before the most recent quarter, revenues had never even totaled $1 million in a quarter before.
XNN might be the topic of a CNBC program this evening at 6:00.
Closed at 2.61.

Tok,
That's a nice, low-risk entry, excluding a gap down below 2.45, of course.
I saw this morning's 2.45 low flash on my screen at 9:49AM, then XNN went right back to 2.50. I didn't have the Time & Sales open, but that might have been only one trade at 2.45, then buyers stepped in to support the stock.
The open and close of that 1-minute bar both were 2.50.
Good luck! I hope that you and others who are long get a nice rally now.

Thanks Melf :) I guess I was one of those buyers who stepped in to support the stock. I had my first order in at 2.46, then raised the bid to 2.48 and got filled. Then I was actually feeling a bit uncertain and was about to cancel the order, but it got filled and I figured I would just go with it, lol.
It could still go against me but I have to admit a bit of instant gratification there as I saw XNN shoot up to the 2.7 range there for awhile right after the trade. And my portoflio balance was in the red, but that brought it positive.
There was another potential bottom today that I was watching but didnt bite at, I could have gotten SKNN at 2.0 and its at 2.20, up a nice 10%. I am hoping that one touches near its recent breakout range in which case I might get back in.
Anyway, XNN back at 2.55, making a doji for the day, and the 5 minute chart shows this could be support, hopefully it stays up there for the day.
Just stopped out at 2.41, but I dont really feel bad since SYX is rocking now ;)
XNN reacted nicely from 61.8% Fibonacci Retracement ;)
-- XNN never close above 50sma in weekly chart since the IPO.
If this trendline holds then we got Ascending Triangle pattern in play....

XNN broke 2.45-2.50 support, and today, broke more important 2.33-2.34 support. It's now is down 42.2% from the break of the Bearish Wolfe Wave, at 3.60, that we discussed back in December.
UGH.
I'm sorry to see that for those of you still long.
"When the fundamentals and the technicals don't agree, defer to the technicals."
That isn't ALWAYS going to work. Nothing ALWAYS works, and you might miss out on a gain. But, consider this:
1. If you sell technical breaks of support, you're not going to get clobbered for big double-digit losses like this.
2. There are plenty of other stocks to play, that have promising fundamentals, and that
don't break technical support, like XNN has.
Just a suggestion.

Press Release Source: Xenonics Holdings, Inc.
Xenonics Receives $1.5 Million in Follow-On Purchase Orders for Its NightHunterII Illumination Systems From the Defense Logistics Agency and U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division
Monday January 8, 9:15 am ET
CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (Amex: XNN - News), a leader in advanced illumination and low-light viewing technologies, announced today that it has received follow-on purchase orders totaling approximately $1.5 million for its NightHunterII high-intensity illumination devices from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division.
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) order for 241 NightHunterII systems valued at approximately $547,000 was shipped in December 2006. This follows a DLA order for 804 units that were shipped in September 2006.
The U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division has ordered 400 NightHunterIIs valued at approximately $1 million, which were shipped in January 2007. This follows an initial purchase order from the 1st CAV, 4th BCT for 150 NightHunterII systems that was shipped in September 2006.
"We are pleased to continue to support the requirements of our military for our life-saving NightHunter products," said Chairman Alan Magerman. He noted that Xenonics had expected to receive and ship the 1st CAV follow-on order in December, which would have contributed to Xenonics' fiscal 2007 first quarter operating results; instead, the order will be reflected in results for the second fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2007.

REALDEALS,
Unfortunately, the response to good news looks to be very negative, doesn't it?
The Symmetrical Triangle Target of 1.96 MADE, and XNN is trading a bit below that, down 53% from the high at 4.05.
UGH. Horrible, to be long in a situation like this. :'( >:D
Math for the Symmetrical Triangle:
2.71 - High of the pattern
2.33 - Low of the pattern
2.71 - 2.33 = 0.38 points
Break below 2.34 - 0.38 Points = Target: 1.96.
Today's low is 1.90. The high, prior to the Parabolic Rally to 4.05, was 1.89, so XNN has made a Parabolic Return to the trading range, prior to the Parabolic Rally.
The 200DMA was at 1.87386 yesterday, and rising, so
1.87-1.89 is DOUBLE support here, and XNN "should" at least get a bounce.
My point yesterday was please try not to hold through these awful breaks of support. Patience is a virtue, but that applies to winners.
"Be patient with your winners, be very i
mpatient with your losers."
All of you know that I am strongly against doubling down on a big loser like this. Over time, it's a terrible strategy.
I hesitate even to say this, but if I had this kind of huge loss and were to "tempt the market gawds" on a double down, this is the place that I would do it,
with a very firm stop at 1.86...or 1.85...
I wouldn't fool around, though, and give it very much on the downside, "hoping" that the market woud save me. It generally doesn't.
I'm not recommending a Double Down, guys. Just trying to help out anyone who is hurting on this one.
Good luck to everyone!

Xenonics Gets 'Going Concern' Opinion
Friday January 5, 5:58 pm ET
Xenonics Receives Audit Opinion Containing 'Going Concern' Qualification
CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) -- Portable lighting products maker Xenonics Holdings Inc. said Friday it received an audit opinion containing a "going concern" qualification.
If a company qualifies as a "going concern," it means it has enough financial resources to operate; if not, the company is bankrupt.
n Xenonics' 10-K filed Dec. 15 with the SEC, the auditor included a statement noting that since the company posted losses for the years ended Sept. 30, 2006 and 2005 and has an accumulated deficit, there is substantial doubt about Xenonics' ability to continue as a going concern.
In the filing, auditors said the companys continued existence is dependent on its ability to obtain orders from the Department of Defense and/or additional equity and/or debt financing to support planned operations and satisfy obligations. There is no assurance the company will be able to do so.
Xenonics Holdings products are used primarily by the military and law enforcement to illuminate dark areas.
The company's shares rose 2 cents to close at $2.45 on the American Stock Exchange, and fell 9 cents, or 3.7 percent, to $2.36 in aftermarket electronic trading.

Updated chart XNN
Interesting turn of events in XNN.
The turn is from Bearish to Neutral, and it will turn Bullish if it can take out the 3.63 - 3.61 neckline of this Bullish Inverse H&S.
Recent History:
1. XNN had a Parabolic Rally, breaking out above the September 1.89 high, to a high of 4.05.
2. As often is the case with Parabolic Rallies, this one ended very badly, in a Bearish Wolfe Wave...
3. And, XNN had a Parabolic Return back to 1.90, a penny above the September high, and right at the 200DMA.
THUD. Those Round-Trippers are so-o ugly. And, painful. :P
Recovery Attempt:
1. XNN came off 1.90 support, and rallied to 2.33-2.34, the two lows that were support, prior to the final collapse to complete the Parabolic Return.
"Former support (2.33 - 2.34) 'should be' RESISTANCE on any rally attempt."
It wasn't. XNN rallied through 2.33 - 2.34, putting the short-term trend to NEUTRAL.
2. XNN then rallied to the "last high" (2.63), prior to the collapse to 1.90, and got as far as 2.61, before pulling back the past two days.
Had it gone through 2.63, and kept rallying, it would have put itself in danger of another Parabolic Rally into the Bearish Wolfe Wave resistance, which probably wouldn't have gone very far, and/or would have ended badly, like the last Parabolic Rally.
Instead, XNN did the smart thing, technically, and backed off from 2.63, establishing a "possible" neckline of a Bullish Inverse H&S Bottom.
3. Thus far, the low of this pullback for a Right Shoulder is 2.34, right at the 2.33-2.34 December lows of what now is the Left Shoulder.
A Right Shoulder "shouldn't" go below the lows of a Left Shoulder. So far, it hasn't. That's "constructively bullish."
The 9EMA yesterday was at 2.32396. The low of 2.34 held just above it. That's short-term bullish, to re-test that, and hold above it.
2.33-2.34, which "should have been" resistance, has turned into support, as it stands. That's short-term bullish.
On the rally to 2.61, the 34/55RSIs had a Bullish thrust higher, and yesterday, came back into Bullish Synchronicity. Yesterday's high of 2.50 becomes the "Puy Pivot," meaning that a print today of 2.511 is a "Buy Signal" from this particular indicator (see next post on the RSIs).
It's always up to us, to look at the chart, and then determine whether or not we wish to take signals from indicators.
If we do wish to take the signal, then we want to structure the trade.
Where is the stop? Below that 2.33-2.34 Key Support, so 2.32.
XNN "could" print 2.32, breaking the low of the Left Shoulder, then rally and break out above the pattern, but personally, I generally allow myself to get "suckered" in that kind of Bear Trap situation, and I stop it out at 2.32.
I don't feel "suckered." More often than not, if the low of the Left Shoulder gets taken down (2.34-2.33), it isn't a Bullish Inverse H&S, and the stock is going down further.
What is the anticipated gain? The pattern breakout would put a target of 3.32 IN PLAY.
If we decide to take the trade, we either can "front-run" it, meaning go ahead and buy it here at 2.40 for a lower risk entry, or wait for the "Buy Signal" print of 2.51, or wait for the actual breakout, above 2.63-2.61.
Good luck to those of you who have it, or who buy it. Depending on the BID...ASK near the open, I likely will front-run it.
Never any guarantees on signals from indicators. The last two attermpts at a rally out of Bullish Synchronicity failed, but we must understand that in the context of what the chart was doing: it was coming off a completed Bearish Wolfe Wave, after a Parabolic Rally.
The chances of an immediate rally of any substance were seriously injured.
If we get the Buy Signal today, on a print of 2.51, XNN at least has built a Bullish Inverse H&S pattern, and has established support at 2.33-2.34, which "should have been," Key resistance here.
XNN has a much better chance of a breakout and a rally here.
But, again, we always have to decide if we like the risk:reward in the trade.
Quote
there is substantial doubt about Xenonics' ability to continue as a going concern.
CURSES!! >:D >:D >:D
Thank you for that, and applause, njshiva. I just read that again, after my analysis. I forgot about that. It sure looks set up for a breakout, but I'll have to pass on that situation.

Xenonics Reports Fiscal 2007 First Quarter Results
Wednesday February 14, 10:15 am ET
CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Xenonics Holdings, Inc. (AMEX:XNN - News), a leader in advanced illumination and low light viewing technologies, today announced financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2007 ended December 31, 2006.
"We generated cash and significantly improved our working capital position in the first quarter, despite the impact of the previously announced delay in a $1 million order for our NightHunterII high-intensity illumination devices that shipped in early January instead of in December as we had originally anticipated. Our recent private equity placement further increased our working capital, which currently exceeds $5 million, providing the resources we need to aggressively pursue our growth opportunities.
"Based on the increasing momentum we now are seeing in our NightHunter business, as well as the market's enthusiastic response to the launch of our new SuperVision(TM) night vision device, we expect to return to the path of revenue and profit growth beginning in the current quarter. We remain committed to our goal to build Xenonics into a significant growth company," said Chairman Alan Magerman.
"SuperVision(TM) is now in production and initial commercial shipments are expected to begin later this quarter. We recently announced the award of U.S. patents on our SuperVision technology, and international patents are pending. We have also established an innovative marketing program for SuperVison with the National Rifle Association that launches this spring, and announced a $1.7 million order from our first Authorized Dealer in the shooting sports market. We are rapidly developing additional potentially significant distribution channels, and we are increasingly confident that SuperVision will become a important driver of Xenonics' growth.
"Our persistent efforts over the past several years to establish our patented NightHunter family of illumination products as standard equipment in the military armamentarium now is beginning to pay dividends. Last month we announced follow-on NightHunter orders from the Defense Logistics Agency and the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division valued at $1.5 million, and we anticipate additional NightHunter orders from the DLA and other government agencies in the months to come. As previously announced, we have authorized production of 1,200 NightHunterII's for delivery between January 2007 and March 31, 2007 to meet our second quarter forecast," Magerman added.
