Which energy stock do you think is the best right now, out of BDCO, FUEL, and MPET? All three have gone up recently, pulled back, and appear ready to go back up again. Could someone give opinions as to each?
Thanks!
What's going on with this one EliteG?
Moving back up for the last 3 days, but where's the volume? ???
bought at 2.25 today. 10% of portfolio into this today. After reading this:

I see $6 in short term.
Also Fuel has warrants. Look at FUELW, if interested.
It seems that it will be on momo traders track list tomorrow.
But need real good volume for this one to move hysterically. Though there are resistance at 2.4, 2.6 and 2.85. After which skies are clear. I will be surprised if it does not gap up at open. Goodluck.
up up up.....today +40%
I love this... ;D
In these difficult times after the hurricane, one of the stocks getting attention is FUEL.
I don't have it, but I'm very tempted.
Any comments would be welcome.

And now I'm in ... at 4.53 :)
Hi cumulina.
I was daytrading this one for the last 2 weeks.. in and out a couple of times. Nice reward.
I got greedy and got in at $4.2 and now I'm down a little, however, I believe this stock has potential to break $5.10 barrier.
I'd like to hear opinions of others on this board. Yahoo board is pretty much useless (pumpers and bashers).
Hi, OneStockMind.
I am out again, and not very profitably, I'm afraid.
I'm not quick (or clever) enough.
One would think that FUEL would be "the thing" serving after the hurricane...
I'm a bit confused about trying to make money on other people's misery, but I guess this trading neither add nor detract for their difficulties ... I hope!
And: I full heartedly agree with you about the yahoo-boards!
Wellcome to the best traders-site available on the net! :D
OK FUEL followers (if there's still some),
I got in and out a couple of times in the last month in this one and finally got in a few days ago at $4.20 so I'm down right now.
However, I expect (hope) this will go back to 4.50 and then test the high of 5.10.
Looking at the chart it looks like it's forming a pennant. TA experts, your opinion is very appreciated here.
Hey onestock. FUEL just came up on my screener a couple days ago and ive been watching it closely. Though the news of their expansion that came out on the 8th didnt do anything but have 2 consecutive days of selling pressure which is not too encouraging. As far as your pennent goes i myself percieve it as a flag. And looking at the history of last 2 rallies both flags resulted in a downside breakout, which doesn't mean this one will too. But thats just what this stock has had the tendency to do on the last 2 rallies so look out for it this time.
Though since this puppy had already had a huge rally beginning on the first and had just started its pullback when the news came out and opened with a gap. The selling pressure was too strong during the pullback and may rally soon once prices are attractive enough for the interested based on the news
My opinion:
If the flag is broken on decent volume and a decent price surge ur probably lookin ok and should continue to hold the stock. Though if it closes below $3.33 which is the low of the day before the news came out and near the support of the priors highs, I would consider getting out and taking the 20% loss.
Future Opportunity for an open position:
As u look at the chart beginning in march when it made it firsts rally, you see it had a steady downtrend afterwards creating a bullish divergence of the MACD-Histogram(according to Alexander Elder the author of "Come into My trading Room" This is the most powerful and significant signal in TA) which has just about 90% of the time turned out to be a good short term buy when ive made a trade in the past of a bullish divergence. Any ways, Price action broke the decending trendline in early june and made a good rally only to decline steadily once again creating yet another bullish divergence of the MACD-Histo. which created a huge rally!!.
Further more i'll be watching this stock closely to see if it breaks out of its flag on heavy volume. Otherwise i can't wait for that 3rd Bullish divergence to form to create another massive rally and make some quick bux.
Also i forgot to mention another good sign, Volume has been increasing on each rally, This recent one may not have such a deep decline we will see. Lowered price on decreased Volume. May be a good time to buy. I'll likely sit and watch this one hoping for that 3rd divergence to appear in the weeks to come.
Best of luck and hope i was of any help,
-fousc
Wilma will become a hurricane. Wilma will enter the Gulf. The question is where will WIlma go long term. Right now long term tracks shift it to western Florida. But we've seen these tracks shift west before. During Katrina and Rita, FUEL made huge moves. Currently, it is very oversold and imo offers nice risk at these levels. Wilma will take over the news as the week progresses. If it shifts more and more west, look out.
Bought at $2.8. Will accumulate if it trends higher.
Bula
;D Closed at $3.35, up +.55 so far today. Up big on this one today. Wilma becomes a hurricane tomorrow or wednesday latest. That news will drive this one into the 4s hopefully from here.
great play bula(applaud).. I was watching and did not pull the trigger. Hopefully you get a nice gap tomorrow. >:D
Streicher Mobile Fueling Responds to Hurricane Wilma in South Florida
10/27/2005 9:38:01 AM
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct 27, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- STREICHER MOBILE FUELING, INC. (NASDAQ: FUEL and FUELW) (the "Company"), a leading provider of petroleum product distribution services, transportation logistics and emergency response services to the trucking, construction, utility, energy, chemical, manufacturing and government service industries today announced that it has mobilized equipment and personnel in an immediate response to Hurricane Wilma which devastated South Florida on Monday, October 24, 2005.
Richard E. Gathright, President and CEO commented, "Hurricane Wilma which swept across South Florida on Monday has disrupted the lives of millions of people and the operations of thousands of businesses across the region. Our sympathies go out to those impacted by this storm, including many of our own personnel. While Broward County and Fort Lauderdale, our corporate home, were especially hard hit by the hurricane, the Company's equipment and facilities, including our corporate offices, were not physically damaged, and we are operating at full capacity to meet the needs of our customers, and emergency service providers throughout the affected region."
"We have relocated additional equipment and personnel from other Company locations to support our relief operations in South Florida which are expected to continue for many weeks. At the same time, we are continuing to support the Hurricane Katrina and Rita restoration work in Louisiana and Texas. The Company's acquisitions of Shank Services earlier this year and H & W Petroleum this month have enhanced our ability to provide storm relief and restoration support, regionally and nationally. Experienced Shank Services personnel are on the ground in South Florida with specialized fueling equipment while its heavy haul units are being used to ferry fuel tanks and other equipment to the devastated areas. H & W's transports are providing the Company additional capacity to move to South Florida fuel supplies which are not currently available from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale."
As we saw last year when four hurricanes hit various parts of Florida, and again this year with Dennis, Katrina and Rita along the Gulf Coast, our personnel have again stepped up to the challenge of keeping critical fuel deliveries moving. For 22 years, we have provided storm response services, starting in our own backyard. Whether Hurricane Andrew in 1992 or Wilma, this week, we remain committed to providing the highest level of support possible in these relief efforts while delivering to our customers the service they need and expect."
The Knight Trader talking about FUEL, might make it move.

Fuel had a day of profit taking after the huge gains but that is good for the stock. Bought yesterday and think there will be a run going into the conference call 11/15... earnings were really great and Fuel has added several new revenue streams.. GL
Looking good now for a run after great eranings and going into the CC next week.

FUEL; Seems to have bottomed and ready for the next leg up going into CC 11/15!
We had to have set higher lows during this run, correction and now stabalization.
Total O/s shares have traded not including today's vol;
float of just over 6 million here. We traded 8 million on Tuesday above $3.10... and just 2.5 million on the pullback yesterday. That's a lot of buying and little selling with a small float with incredible financials. Guidance should be coming soon moving forward. Conference call next Tuesday. Much more upside is coming. Buy the dip...JMHO
Hi
I got in yesterday at the close. It is indeed looking good.
I would look for a gap at the open... the MM's took it down at the close on a FEW shares... 3.34 to 3.15... typical MM games... GL

Hey guys,
any thoughts on FUEL??? With Hurricane season around the corner, this one might be a good entry here. Just found an opinion from Ant & Sons website:
Streicher Mobile Lags Ahead of Hurricane Debby
Streicher Mobile Fueling (Nasdaq: FUEL) appears to be lagging behind many stocks that are moving up in anticipation of Hurricane Debby hitting the United States coastline. At the moment, Tropical Depression Four is south of the Cape Verde Islands and moving across the Atlantic Ocean. Some hurricane models predict that the depression could turn into a storm and eventually a hurricane within the next four days. It is expected to track about 800 to 900 miles southeast of Bermuda, potentially putting the storm in position to move into the Gulf of Mexico. Streicher Mobile, being a provider of petroleum product distribution and emergency response services to the energy industry, is thus positioned well to break above the $3.00 resistance level as it looks to move higher once the storm becomes a threat to land and oil infrastructure.
Seems they may have a point. It is still sitting below resistance of 3.00, but also looks to have fairly solid support at 2.75. Might be worth a low(ish) risk entry, aiming to get up to next resistance around 3.40. Any hurricane related news could kick this one off again ;)
FUEL gapped over 3.00 this morning and is looking strong so far (volume is good). Could this be the beginning of a run here???
A Three Black Crows formation -> bearish signal

Streicher Mobile Fueling Becomes SMF Energy Corporation
Friday December 22, 12:48 pm ET
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Streicher Mobile Fueling, Inc. (NASDAQ:FUEL - News; the "Company"), a leading provider of petroleum product distribution services, transportation logistics and emergency response services to the trucking, construction, shipping, utility, energy, chemical, manufacturing, telecom and government service industries, today announced that it approved at its Annual Meeting a change of the Company's name to SMF Energy Corporation and the former Florida corporation's reincorporation in Delaware. The name change and reincorporation will be effective upon receipt of the requisite approvals from the Company's primary lender and the holders of its senior secured debt. The Company's ticker symbol, "FUEL", will not change.
At the Annual Meeting, the Company also announced that its Board of Directors had appointed two new executive officers, namely Robert W. Beard, Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Sales and Investor Relations Officer, and Timothy E. Shaw, Sr. Vice President, Information Services & Administration and Chief Information Officer.
Robert W. Beard joined the Company in July 2005 as Vice President of Corporate Development from Cendian Corporation, a chemical logistics subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company in Atlanta, where he most recently served as Director of Client Development and Sales Support. Bob has 30 years of marketing and sales, operational and financial experience in the transportation and logistics industry for companies including Eastman Chemical, Ryder Systems, Inc., Comdata Corporation, American Express/First Data Resources, Truckstops of America, and Mid Continent Systems.
Timothy E. Shaw joined the Company in March 2006 as Vice President of Information Systems Services and Chief Information Officer from Neff Corporation/Neff Rental LLC headquartered in Miami, one of the country's largest construction rental companies, where he was the Vice President of Information Services for the last seven years. He has over 20 years experience in IT leadership, process engineering and business operations for companies including Fruehauf Trailer Services and Southwestern Bell, both in St. Louis. Tim has an extensive background in implementing enterprise resource solutions, such as we are currently undertaking, storm disaster recovery planning, public company Sarbanes-Oxley 404 implementation and compliance, and the integration of acquisitions.
The Company's shareholders also elected all of management's nominees to the Board of Directors, namely Richard E. Gathright, Wendell R. Beard, Steven R. Goldberg, Nat Moore, Larry S. Mulkey, C. Rodney O'Connor and Robert S. Picow. It was also announced that, in light of the appointment of Robert Beard as an executive officer of the Company, the Company's Board of Directors had reconstituted its committees to reflect the fact that Robert Beard's father, Wendell Beard, would no longer be classified as an independent director. The Committees announced were:
* Audit Committee: Steven R. Goldberg (Chairman), Nat Moore and Larry S. Mulkey.
* Compensation Committee: Nat Moore (Chairman), Larry S. Mulkey, and Robert S. Picow.
* Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee: Nat Moore (Chairman), Larry S. Mulkey and Robert S. Picow.
Richard Gathright, Chairman and CEO, commented, "We are pleased that our shareholders have authorized us to establish a new corporate identity for the Company that reflects its future. As previously announced, the Company's new name is part of a broader strategy to brand its historical mobile fueling operations consistently with those of its newly acquired subsidiaries. While those subsidiaries will continue to capitalize on the goodwill associated with their existing names, they will, together with the Company, be co-branded as part of the new SMF Energy Group."
Gathright added, "We also appreciate our shareholders' recognition that the Company will benefit from the comprehensive, flexible and well defined corporate and legal environment provided by Delaware law. While our operations will continue to be headquartered in south Florida, we believe that, as a Delaware corporation, our corporate governance will be more predictable and manageable than it was as a Florida corporation. We are also hopeful that this greater certainty with respect to the rights and liabilities of officers and directors will cause our stock to be more attractive to institutional investors and that we will continue to attract and retain highly qualified directors and officers."
Gathright concluded, "We believe that these shareholder votes signal our shareholders' agreement with management's strategy to expand beyond our traditional service of mobile fueling and to establish the Company as a widely known and thoughtfully diversified energy service provider and product distributor serving a broad range of businesses and industries."
