CKSW reported strong 2Q 2005 earnings results last week. The company also reiterated its strong/aggressive guidance for the second half of 2005.
2Q 2005 financial results summary:
** Revenues of $6.1 million vs. $5.4 million in 1Q 2004 (25% revenue growth). Analysts expected $6 million in revenues.
** Net loss of 1c/share. Analysts expected a 2 - 3c/share loss.
** Maintains its prior guidance of $27.3 million to $29.6 million in revenues for the full year (25 to 30% growth).
Other 2Q highlights:
* The first two (2) transactions have been signed per the IBM/ClickSoftware Teaming agreement on Field Force Automation, Workforce Management and Asset Monitoring announced in July of 2004.
* Cash increased to $15.2 million from $13.5 million.
CC Highlights:
* CEO BenBassat was very confident about meeting the full year guidance of $27.2 M to $29.5 M. With $12.1 M revenues in the first half, CKSW needs to attain a second half revenue range between $15.1 to $17.4. The CEO said that the company will recognize $7.7 M from large projects that have already been won but that very little revenue has been recognized so far. In addition to that, $2.5 M will be recognized as a result of the 2 IBM/CKSW projects won late in 2Q. That leaves $4.9 M to $5.4 M of new business to be generated in Q3 and Q4. Mr. BenBassat commented that they have been doing better than that in Q1 and Q2 (I read that CKSW might be able to beat the upper end of the guidance range).
* CEO BenBassat, usually ultraconservative, said that with the higher revenues expected in 3Q and 4Q, both quarters will be profitable even though the company will continue to invest in resources to accomodate the growth expected in 2006 and beyond.
* There are several large contracts, including some "mega-deals," that are expected to close in the second half of 2005.
* The sales pipeline is stronger than ever. The US market is starting to show improvements as a result of an aggressive restructuring of the Americas sales/marketing leadership this last quarter.
* The company continues investing heavily in R&D to develop new products and to maintain its leadership in the sector.

I'm always leery of investing in anything traded that lightly.
Followed this one for a while now, a bit disappointed with it unfortunately. Over-promises by mgmt team, significant exec turnover to competitors last month, and lots of pumping on yahoo (where else...). Competitors have been consolidating (ARDI, IINT), so could still be interesting in the mid-long term.
Would be interested in someone's tech analysis on this one and ARDI.
I believe that CKSW will start moving up from here. My target is $4 to $5 by February 2006.
I fully expect that institutional interest will increase based on the large number of questions from institutional investors during the Conference Call.
I expect that CKSW will start to move up this week. The sector is getting hot again with ITWOE strong results, MDSI being acquired for $8/share, etc.

ClickSoftware (Nasdaq: CKSW) is the leading provider of field service optimization solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of field service operations. CKSW is clearly the leader in this area in the utilities and energy areas.
CKSW has about $14M in cash, or about 50c/share, and ZERO long term debt. Its float of about 13M shares is tighly held because it is just a matter of time until CKSW makes the progress that is expected of it.
On February 08, 2006 CKSW announced that it expects revenues for full year 2006 should grow by approximately 15% over 2005.
CKSW is trading at about 50% valuation compared to sector competitors with less potential and balance sheet problems. CKSW is definitely undervalued IMO.

About ClickSoftware ,today.
Published by Globes [online], Israel business news - www.globes.co.il - on September 28, 2006
Analyst:Shlomo Greenberg
Another company whose successes on Main Street are having no effect on Wall Street is ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CKSW). After winning a Bezeq The Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) optimization contract, an achievement that drew little attention or noise, the company yesterday announced that it had won another large contract, this time from a global office paper and equipment management company. I can guess who this global company is, because there aren't many of them, but it is a fact that ClickSoftware is winning contracts and expanding its business. We'll probably see a strong rise in sales and profits for the present quarter, too, and it's finally influencing the share.
The inability to disclose the name of the customer is a difficult problem for Israeli companies, especially for those struggling to rise up. Every contract, especially OEM agreements, is always important for a small company, but keeping the identity of the other party confidential, especially when it's an industry leader, hurts an Israeli company, who cannot brag about the customer or mention its name. Global companies are aware of this problem, and fully exploit it to push down prices and so on. The Israeli advantage, especially in sectors like ClickSoftware's, is their ability to maneuver, adapt and provide better services.
From personal knowledge, the survival ability of companies like ClickSoftware, Top Image Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: TISA), Silicom Ltd. (Nasdaq:SILC; TASE:SILC), Mind CTI Ltd. (Nasdaq: MNDO; TASE: MNDO), and others says a lot about their future. I have no doubt that the abovementioned companies are heading in the right direction.

yesterday contract worth millions.
Xerox is the customer.

also Chubb(announced at august 06)

reports at the end of october.
maybe between 2.75-3.25$
maybe 4$ after ,between the 3Q to 4Q.
during the reports they will bring forecast (numbers) for 4Q.

Tomorrow will go up !
it's BUY CONFIRMED
2.5 weeks from the reports
we are sitting on a volcano
something positiv is coming...
if the stock will cross the 3$
we will see the 3.5$ up to 4$ in days.
if not now, so it will be during the reports,
then the rally will start.
again this company moved from 5 or 6 million revenues a quarter
to 8 million or 9 a quarter
reports soon.
software service companies trade 3 or 4 of their revenues
take a look for example CKSW stock how it should/will be.
lets take the minimum:
3 X 30,000,000$ revenues this year = 90,000,000$
90,000,000$ + 15,000,000$ (cash) = 105,000,000
105,000,000 : 27,000,000 (Total Shares) =3.8$ a share
now, they might bring over the 30,000,000
lets say 8.5M this report at the end of the month
and 9M at the 4qrt.
this bring us to 32,000,000 revenues
next year they probebly will bring over the 35,000,000 (absolutely over..)
so lets take another scenario
35,000,000M x 3 =105,000,000M
+ 15,000,000 cash
105,000,000+15,000,000=120,000,000 M
120,000,000 /
27,000,000 total shares
= 4.4$ a share
this is the way to evaluate this stock,
we have to "look" at the future.
this company used to bring 5 to 6 miliion a quarter,
now they have started to bring 8 to 9 million a guarter.
good luck
nice volume, nice chart....
Hi la-onda
Really liked the chart on this stock and the volume I really liked. I'm trying to grab some after hour's @2.69 might not get it though so far after hour's shows 2.76. I'll post it later if it goes thru.

it will be the like 2003,
but instead of 5$ it will stop at around 4$.

Indus and MDSI To Merge: Consolidation Continues in SLM
Monday, October 23, 2006
Eric Karofsky
Vista Equity Partners, a private equity investment firm, is purchasing Indus for $240M and combining the service lifecycle management (SLM) company with Vista's mobile workforce management portfolio company, MDSI. The deal is noteworthy not only because of a service player broadening its product lineup, but also because of the continued consolidation in this space.
Indus was recently featured in the "Service Lifecycle Management Landscape of Suite Vendors" and is noted for its deep experience in the utilities market, but is branching out into other industries. MDSI is a mobile workforce management company with significant utility experience, and helps its clients with mobile dispatch, scheduling, and tracking tools.
Service fulfillment needs mobile integration
Adding mobile functionality from MDSI is beneficial to Indus's clients. In fact, strategies for mobile integration are among the top inquiries AMR Research receives on SLM. The reasons companies ask about mobile are plentiful, including the following:
Scheduling and routing—Mobile integrations can optimize schedules and reroute as necessary to service changing customer needs.
Inventory visibility—When technicians are onsite and don't have a specific part, mobile functionality can allow them to see other technicians' trunk stock, distribution inventory, and place orders as necessary.
Warehouse management—Utilizing mobile functionality helps warehouses track, scan, and find parts efficiently.
Beyond the new functionality, there are two additional benefits:
Indus recently performed below the Street's expectations, and being public this was in full view. Going private not only shields Indus's performance from detailed scrutiny, it may also help profitability by removing the significant cost of being public.
Indus also gains from the deeper pockets of its new parent. This space will continue consolidation. And just as Indus acquired Wishbone in 2004, access to capital will be needed for further acquisitions.
As always, risks are present
The first is the perception that Indus and MDSI are only relevant for utility companies. Indus is expanding beyond the utility vertical, where it receives the majority of its business. Similarly, MDSI is strong in utility, but also has a smattering of other clients. This is evidenced by its public list of joint customers where the two products are integrated such as Atmos Energy, Vectron Energy, and Xcel Energy. The two companies will need to work hard to offer products and messaging for a broader audience.
The goal of private equity funds is to manage the strongest portfolio possible and harvest when appropriate—this will influence the strategic investments for Indus and MDSI. While there is no indication of a conflict, competing agendas may result.
The consolidating market
This market is exciting, with larger acquisitions such as IBM's $740M purchase of MRO Software. In fact, multiple acquisitions are occurring in an effort to build a suite of SLM providers, while fending off Oracle and SAP (see "SLM Market: Strength Through Acquisition" for details of the many deals the past few years).
Who's next? Among the most obvious are the small public companies, as the "going private" theme resonates because of accessing deeper pockets for strategic investment, avoiding costly compliance regulations, and hiding the naked results of sometimes poor quarters. Astea's market cap of $19M trades below its yearly revenue of $22.7M tops my list. Other small public companies that in the SLM space that might be considered are ClickSoftware, Chordiant, eGain, ILOG, Knova, ServicePower, and ViryaNet.

This compares with revenues of $6.1 million and a net loss of $307,000, or a loss of $0.01 per share, for the same period last year, and revenues of $8.0 million and net income of $443,000, or $0.02 per share, for the second quarter of 2006. Gross profit in the third quarter of 2006 was $5.1 million, or 59% of revenues, compared to $3.5 million, or 58% of revenues, in the same period last year, and $5.0 million, or 62% of revenues, in the second quarter of 2006.

As a result, we are pleased with our progress this year and look forward to continued growth ahead," said Dr. Moshe BenBassat, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

This would bring total 2006 revenues to approximately $32 million, representing annual growth of about 33% over 2005. Major Win for ClickSoftware in the United States West Coast Utility Market
Monday November 27, 8:00 am ET
BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, November 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqCM: CKSW), the leading provider of mobile workforce management and service optimization solutions, today announced further expansion into the United States West Coast utility market. Recently, notable utility clients such as Pacific Gas & Electric, Terasen Gas, and PacifiCorp have already chosen to implement ClickSoftware's ServiceOptimization Suite for their field forces. Southern California Edison (SCE) is the latest to commit to ClickSoftware's array of tools for demand forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling and analytics.
This multi-million dollar contract increases the Company's visibility into the revenues of this and upcoming quarters.
"We are very pleased and proud to have been selected by Southern California Edison, one of the largest electric utility operations in North America. There are very few solutions in the market that can address the complex requirements of optimized crew scheduling as well as multi-stage jobs that span over several weeks or months. The complexity is increased by several orders of magnitude when it involves thousands of technicians," commented Dr. Moshe BenBassat, ClickSoftware's Chairman and CEO. "With this win, our products will be scheduling the workforces of key utility companies all along the West Coast from Canada down to California," he added
Not a bad finish for an ugly market. Volume picked up. Let see if it can stay above 3.20 now.

Hitting today new highs on pretty good volume today- 5 DEC 06

Chart getting weaker, I don't like those spikes on rejection from 3.60
Losing patience...CKSW needs to show some strenght to blow thru 3.60 or I'll have to move on.
That's it. Got tired of those spikes, out before the close. Will wait for it to close above 3.60 firmly or pick it up lower.
LOL
thats the way of the market
soon the stock will test the 3.7-3.75
I'm estimating that Q4 will come in around 9.3 mil; Gross Profit of 5.7 mil; Operating Income of $.94 mil and Net Income of $1.05 Mil (add back interest income from their invested cash and assume NOLs result in no taxes). This results in EPS of $.04. Net would have to be up another $200K to push EPS to $.05.
More interesting is '07. I think the company will guide toward $40 mil (23% growth); however, I think they will actually achieve $42.25 - $45 mil (31% - 39% growth). If I'm right, EPS will be in the range of $.16 - $.20.
The implication on valuation is...big. I believe the appropriate multiple for a stock achieving this growth and enjoying this dominant a market position would be in the 30X - 40Xrange which, applied to the EPS of $.20, the stock would trade in the range of $6.00 - $8.00. Based on revenue multiples, it ought to trade in the 3.0X to 3.5X sales range, imputing a stock price range of $4.50 to $5.50. This is, of course, once there is some visibility on these numbers. I think we'll see the stock over $6 in the 2nd half of next year, assuming the general stock market remains relatively intact.
It's tough to initiate coverage on a $100 mil mkt cap company; just not enough retail interest to justify. So, my guess is it will gain coverage as the stock price gets closer to $5 (closer to $150 mil mkt cap) which will not only attract greater interest due to mkt cap size but the price movement and emergence of the story will compel coverage
If you can't beat them, join them. Shorted CKSW today at the open, looking to cover around the 50ema.
Just killed 2 birds with one shot. Covered as planned for a nice 16% profit.......and also now going long.
Not bad for an otherwise ugly day.

Management Commentary
"2006 was a remarkable year for ClickSoftware. We have substantially improved our business performance, further bolstered our market leadership by signing new major agreements with blue chip customers from a variety of industry verticals, and increased our traction with new and existing partners," said Dr. Moshe BenBassat, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "I am thankful for our dedicated employees and management who have all contributed immensely to our great achievements in 2006. We are very excited about the success we experienced in 2006, and looking forward to continued growth in 2007. nice CKSW article ;)
Why I am Selling Palm and Buying ClickSoftware
Thursday April 19, 7:05 am ET
Shlomi Cohen submits: This week I am removing Palm Inc. (NasdaqGS: PALM) from my portfolio. I don't want to hold on to Palm, now that Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL) is set to launch the iPhone, its new touch-screen mobile phone.
There is no point in holding on to Palm, seeing that its potential buyers appear themselves to have cooled and to be holding off a decision pending the "iPhone effect" after June. What's more, even if there is an acquisition in the pipeline, the price will not be much higher than the current market price.
In place of Palm, I am adding a small Israeli software company, Givat Shmuel-based ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqCM: CKSW), which specializes in software solutions for mobile workforce management and service. I have had my eye on this company, which was founded by company chairman and CEO Dr. Moshe Ben Bassat, for some time, and I decided to add it to my portfolio after it announced last week that it would be publishing its report for the first quarter of 2007 on May 2, a commonly accepted sign that no warnings are in the offing. In times like these, when small stocks disintegrate following profit warnings, I prefer to pay more for a stock, rather than find myself facing a nasty surprise in the form of an unexpected warning.
ClickSoftware currently has a market cap of $100 million, and it is expected to have sales of $40 million for 2006, compared with $32.4 million for 2005, and a profit (before options) of $2.7 million. The company currently has more than $20 million in cash. Over recent quarters it has managed to grow in the most important item of all for software companies - license sales. ClickSoftware sells to large customers in various sectors, and in 2006 it significantly increased it sales in the U.S., most notably to utility providers, such as electricity companies that have many service personnel out in the field.
Last week's 16% gain for ClickSoftware was due, I feel, to three factors. The first of these was the announcement of a large customer from the document management sector, probably Xerox Corp. (NYSE: XRX - News). The second is the sigh of relief following the announcement of a date for its financial report which I referred to earlier. The third is the fact that last week the company published its annual 20F report for 2006. In these days of irritating companies such as Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. , considerable importance is attached to the fact that a company, especially a small one, has produced this report two months before the deadline.
What is more important is that anyone who reviews this report by ClickSoftware will find some interesting things, such as the expectation of continued growth for 2006, including the belief that the existing ratio between license and service sales will be maintained. The report also noted that the contacts between ClickSoftware and IBM, which the company reported back in 2004, have now progressed to negotiations on the method of payment to the company for sales made by IBM.
Of course this stock is risky, just like any small stock is, and it is not all that cheap either, if I compare it to Eltek Ltd. (NasdaqCM: ELTK), for example, which I also have in my portfolio. That said, I have long since learned that in the software sector, if you can manage to increase your license sales to as many customers as possible, sometimes the sky is the limit since the giants will get back to you with more orders.
above estimation ;)

"We are delighted to report another strong quarter with significant 40% year-over-year revenue growth and strategic progress in line with our goals for building the Company to the next level," said Dr. Moshe BenBassat, ClickSoftware's Chairman and CEO. "During the quarter, we signed important agreements with new customers, engaged with new channel partners, and penetrated into a new vertical. We believe all of these activities are positioning us to take advantage of exciting opportunities in our markets. Considering the traditionally slow first quarter seasonality, we are off to an excellent start into 2007," he added.
Outlook
Based on recent wins and the current pipeline, the company is reiterating its previous guidance projecting an increase of about 20% for 2007 revenues as compared to 2006".

Management Commentary
"The results for 2008 show significant improvement in just about every aspect of the business: revenue growth, profitability, margins, and EPS. Specifically operating cash flow grew to a record level - the highest in the Company's history. These results for 2008 are particularly pleasing considering the global economy recession", says Dr. Moshe BenBassat, CEO and Chairman of ClickSoftware. "Year 2009 started in a positive way with an encouraging amount of business generated in the first month of the year. I believe that we are well positioned for continued growth in 2009," he added.
Outlook
While the Company currently expects that it will continue to grow in 2009, the level of uncertainty is too high to be able to reliably estimate the growth rate in terms of concrete numbers. Therefore no concrete guidance for 2009 is given at this point in time. The assessment that revenues will continue to grow in 2009 is based on a comfortable backlog going into 2009, and the strong start of the first month of 2009.

BURLINGTON, Mass., Sept 27, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (CKSW, Trade ), the leading provider of automated workforce management and optimization solutions for the service industry, today announced that a county fire and rescue service in the United Kingdom has purchased its shift rostering and planning solution.
The service embarked upon an HR transformation project following a report in 2008 by independent watchdog the Audit Commission which urged UK fire and rescue services to better manage their people in order to achieve efficiency savings and improve frontline services. The fire service in question recognized that optimized workforce management would have the greatest impact on the success of the transformation program. The existing system they used was labor intensive and struggled to efficiently cope with the dynamic nature of work, it would therefore not be capable of delivering the results expected as part of the transformation program.
It was with this in mind that the service selected ClickRoster from workforce management market leader ClickSoftware. The solution will roster thousands of wholetime and retained firefighters by the most cost effective means possible to achieve the mandated operational compliance.
ClickRoster will automatically create the roster for every station and every shift for both wholetime and retained firefighters, allocating individuals to specific roles based on skill requirements and the Watch Managers' decisions.
ClickRoster will, in advance, proactively alert Watch Managers of any potential shortfall in appliance and service coverage. ClickRoster will then identify and recommend relevant resources from neighboring stations that can be contacted and used to cover any shortfall, allowing the service to remedy the situation before a shift begins and before it becomes a problem.
The new system will also improve visibility and control of real-time operations by automatically providing dispatchers with an intuitive graphical view of actual appliance coverage in the field.
Retained Firefighters will have the flexibility to receive and send shift confirmation directly to ClickRoster via SMS. This will save time and money by eliminating the need for individuals to visit their station to confirm their availability or non-availability for work.
"Public sector organizations across the UK, as in many parts of the world, are facing tough times. With its capability to improve service levels using less people, workforce optimization must be the single most important technology to meet this challenge head on," said Dr. Moshe BenBassat, Chairman and CEO of ClickSoftware. "ClickRoster will provide this fire service with a clear advantage in cutting costs whilst also improving the efficiency of its frontline services."
