Title: Do you Have......BUGS ?
Post by: setravis on June 18, 2005, 03:29:54 PM
Nice volume onThursday and Friday 16th & 17th
Going to my penny watch list.
Sounds like a cool company......(New Patent)

CARLSBAD, Calif., Jun 16, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- U.S. Microbics, Inc. (BUGS, Trade) announced today that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has granted a new patent (#6,905,603 B2) based on its proprietary technology for the "Treatment of Contaminated Activated Charcoal." The new invention relates to the treatment of carbon filtration systems and the use of micro-organisms for removal of contaminating hydrocarbons from such systems. The patent follows from successful field trials using the Bio-GAC(TM) and BAC(TM) systems specifically designed to support a proprietary blend of hydrocarbon-eating bacteria to extend and regenerate spent carbon from water treatment systems used by industry and its service vendors to meet regulatory agency discharge requirements.

The Bio-GAC(TM) system was developed in response to industry demand for an economical alternative to periodic system shutdown and offsite regeneration of spent carbon elements estimated to cost carbon users $400MM per year. Not only is offsite regeneration expensive, it is time consuming, ties up cash resources in additional carbon inventory and loses up to 25% of the original carbon by volume in the conventional regeneration process. With the Bio-GAC(TM) system, not only is the process done on site, but costs for regeneration are typically 50% less than offsite regeneration, and nearly 100% of the carbon can be regenerated to near virgin carbon standards while simultaneously extending the useful life of in-service treatment systems, further reducing operation and maintenance costs.

Bio-GAC(TM) is a new breakthrough technology that can be used to eliminate MTBE, petroleum hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds in groundwater cleanup at retail service station sites nationwide. The typical industries with potential beneficial use include:

-- Local Potable water treatment companies, boards and districts

-- Oil and Gas production, transportation, pipeline, bulking, refining, distribution, retail and gas stations

-- Commercial and industrial facilities with waste water production and/or NPDES permit requirements to treat facility discharges

-- Chemical and petrochemical facilities

-- Groundwater remediation sites

As a further product benefit, the company previously announced in May 2002 that it had received confirmation from the State of California that its bio-reactivation recycling technology for activated carbon filtration media, when used by a fully permitted facility, is exempt from permitting under California's Hazardous Waste Control Law. This exemption opens the door for use of the technology by the Petroleum, Chemical, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Cleanup Industries, who have been hesitant to incorporate new technology which could require extensive and expensive modifications to existing permit conditions.

The company would like to congratulate the inventors, who include Dominic Colasito, Behzad Mirzayi, MS, P.E., Vice President & Chief Engineer of Sub Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OCTBB:SSWM), Mery Robinson and Alvin Smith.

U.S. Microbics intends to capitalize on its investment in the newly patented technology by licensing end users and service vendors who can utilize the process to benefit their operations, and by using the process in SSWM remediation projects to lower the cost of carbon filtration media, decrease the treatment time for in situ remediation projects and for pre-treatment filters attached to water purification machines. The company plans to increase its revenue from these activities with a combination of up-front, unit measure and on going royalty fees.

BUGS 3rd Quarter Revenue Highest in Three Years
Tuesday August 23, 9:20 am ET
Higher Revenues and Gross Profits Driven by Mexico Business

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2005--U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB:BUGS - News) today announced consolidated financial results for the third quarter ending June 30, 2005. Revenues for the three months were $307,253 (334% higher) and Net Losses for the three months were trimmed to $595,785 (22% lower) than the same period in the prior year as the company increased revenue and gross profits from higher margin international environmental cleanup operations in Mexico.

BUGS CEO Robert Brehm commented: "The Mexico operations, under the guidance of Sub-Surface Waste Management (OTCBB:SSWM - News), continued to generate record-breaking revenues each quarter this fiscal year, indicating improved market acceptance of our technology and services. We expect revenues to further increase as we complete existing contracts and receive additional contracts in Mexico. Our management team has worked hard to trim overhead expenses, and their efforts have reduced our losses over 20% from the prior year as we shift over toward improved profitability. If we maintain the current growth rate, we anticipate being cash-flow positive within the next twelve months; thus, taking off the pressure to continue raising operating capital via equity sales and high-cost debt."

Careful.  BUGS is a 'Shakerz' Pump.

Maybe it's a good stock on it's own merit, maybe not.  But please do your DD.  It could be like the other pump/dumps on that board.

Potential G-Pattern......

Looming Golden Cross.........
When a shorter moving average like the 50-day crosses above a longer one like the 200-day it is a major buy signal. In Japan this signal is called a "Golden Cross." The reverse is called a "Dead Cross" and it is a sell signal. Using moving average crossovers takes the subjective part of chart reading, as this is just pure math in determining the trend. When the 50-day crosses above the 200-day it's a signal to go long..........

BUGS Offers Patented Technology to Katrina-Impacted State Agencies
Monday September 12, 9:15 am ET
Technology Could Help Clean Up Soil and Groundwater Contamination

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2005--U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB:BUGS - News) today announced its subsidiary, Sub Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM - News), has contacted the environmental State agencies for Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi offering to donate the use of its patented water treatment technology, Bio-GAC(TM) (Patent No: US 6,905,603 B2) for the treatment of toxic waste streams such as those caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Robert Brehm, CEO of U.S. Microbics, stated, "These State agencies will be faced with an enormous number of sites requiring cleanup of both surface water and groundwater resources impacted by toxics released during the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Our companies are prepared to help the state agencies by providing this cost-effective, state-of-the-art treatment solution immediately under a royalty free technology license together with discounted engineering technical support and microbial products for use at critical contaminated sites. We will inform our shareholders on any and all interest response received from these State agencies on this treatment technology offer."

Bio-GAC(TM) is a patented water and air vapor waste stream treatment process that uses granular activated charcoal (GAC) as a filtration medium in a specially engineered process container to support live microbial products (bugs) specifically selected to degrade toxic pollutants such as those encountered in the Katrina disaster. The resulting treated effluent can in most cases be safely discharged to rivers, lakes and streams under both Federal and State regulations. The process can be used on a continual basis without replacing the GAC, thereby saving time, money and treating more toxics quickly, a key consideration for cleaning up contaminated water and soil caused by hurricane disasters.

I noticed this stock had a major spike today (8/23/06) but for only one trade, as far as I can tell.
I looked at the L2 on http://www.otcbb.com/asp/Info_Center.asp to get that information.
I'm new to trading but have seen this happen in other stocks as well.
This single trade was for 10 times the going price at the time of the trade and no other trades were near this level.
It almost looks like a typo but its reported on every site that provide quotes that I looked at.
Is this some monkey business perpetrated by a MM? or what?
Are there any of the experienced penny traders out there that know what is going on? I want to know the good the bad and the ugly and would appreciate some insight into this, if any one has any to offer.
