Title: CPNE.OB | Commerce Planet
Post by: Lucas Scott on January 26, 2007, 02:29:58 AM
This chart has triangles within triangles. Buy point is a breakout at $1.93. I had success with this stock in 2006 from .76 to 1.50/1.60, and maybe it can do it for me again in 2007.

Breakout today :o  It kept banging its head on $1.90 the last few weeks and finally busted thru.

Nice work Lucas.

I think the selling has definitely tapered off and we should get some buying action soon.  Good combination of fundamentals and technicals here, hopefully we can get some more appreciation.

Hello, I wanted to make a comment on CPNE.  First of all, its an awesome stock! Secondly, it has great fundamentals and is improving each quarter so its not a pump and dump.  Someone posted a link to a website this week that was pumping EVCC and XIDE and both of those stocks moved big and EVCC fell pretty hard since its a worthless company.  The link I'm talking about is
http://www.pennystockanalysis.com/index.html   and it seems that this link has a huge following since their picks really run.  They post there new picks on Saturday and the stocks start moving on early in the week and sell off later in the week.  I decided to try something, I emailed them about CPNE and within an hour later the stock really started to move.  I'm not sure it was because of them, but it was weird how quickly it happened.  I emailed them a link to David's report about CPNE.  What I'm getting at is I wonder if it will show up on their site tomorrow for next week's pick.  I figured it would be a good idea to expose CPNE to more traders giving a boost to the 3SOF portfolio.  The only difference is I don't think it will fall hard since it has great fundy's!  Just wanted to post this to see if that site has any merit.  Have a Good Weekend!

mbaugh, good work :D

many of the sites like you mentioned are not merely stock picking sites, they get paid for mentioning stocks too. usually with free trading shares from the company. so they can move a stock by trading it if they do is skillfully. One skill I am trying to develop is, how to identify a stock before they pop it. It would be a very profitable skill if I can ever learn it :)

mbaugh, did you send them a link of the premium area of 3 Stocks? If you did, they were not able to see the content, since they're not paying subscribers to 3 stocks premium service.

Moreover, that website has no traffic at all on Alexa, so I don't think it can move stocks. I think CPNE.OB moved on its own merits and fundamentals.

But maybe I'm wrong ... interesting issue and idea.

Have a nice weekend :)

I think they can see the content, because the 3 stocks on fire portfolio is still opened to the public. ;)

Yes, but there's no long term fundamental study on CPNE.OB there. There's no sound justification to why it would definitely rise, not like the one written on the Main Portfolio message board (http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php).

I'm thinking, since that website has no message boards, it can have many unique visitors but not many page views, and perhaps that can explain its non existence at Alexa.

Also, it's possible that they run an hedge fund or something and can move stocks on their own. But honestly it doesn't look like it. Now I've opened the links to their analysis and lol, the only thing they have there is the chart, not even written technical analysis, just the chart.

If that website isn't just a google ad sense clicking machine I don't know what it is.

We should all focus on the fundamentals of the business.

By the way, applause to Lucas Scott, the first to bring CPNE.OB to our attention.

My kids are awakening, have a great weekend 8)

Yes, Lucas, Applaud!

David, I agree with you about that other site being a shell site.  If it had any kind of traffic at all, regardless of if it was one person clicking it 1 million times or 1 million people viewing it only once, it would have *some* number associated with it.  I have seen Alexa rankings as low as 5 million, but that site doesnt even get that, lol!  So unless George Soros is sitting behind the screen of a penny stock site making big trades, I think it is pretty safe to say CPNE is moving on its own merits  :D

Actually, I copied and pasted a small portion of your write-up on CPNE and provided a link to the 3stocksonfire site to them.  I have been providing links to your web site to several trader sites since You are the Best of the Best!  In regards to CPNE and the penny stock site, I don't think they had anything to do with the huge run up yesterday, it was just weird that it happened shortly after I sent them info about the stock.

Also David, I tell everyone I know from long-term investors to short-term traders about 3stocksonfire and I encourage them to join your site since I believe you are the best of the best!  You have a God given talent and many here are thankful for you sharing your talents with us.  In a few short years your long-term portfolio will be in the millions!  Thanks David, keep up the great work!

I'm not a member of the premium section so I'm not completely sure of David's analysis, although I get the idea it's somewhat bullish. ???

From my point of view, this Q earnings should be at least what they were last Q, $.07.  I'm going to go ahead and make the forward earnings $.40, at 10 cents a quarter.  With the growth we're seeing in these PRs, including the one put out today, we should easily make this target.

Assess forward PE of 20, and come up with $8.00 a share.

CPNE.ob having another big day.  + $.34 (12.1%) @ 3.15 .

CPNE.ob, in my opinion, still has plenty to give.  A company growing like this trading at such a low forward multiple?  People are, and will continue to buy hand over fist.  I expect short, and relatively small pullbacks.  They'll be good buying opportunities.

All imho of course.

We should see $4 before earnings.

Do you think it will see $4 because it is acting bullish or is there a technical reason?

Bullish is an understatement, blue sky above ;D

Getting a little ahead of the 9sma, take some profit along the way if it makes you feel better.  ;)

Save some for the long haul though- multi bags here over the long term.

I noticed the 9ma is at 2.77 and it bounced up from there today.  Boy, was I sweating it...

Thanks Boatguy, for pointing out about CPNE getting a little ahead of the 9ma the other day.  I am in at about 5000 shares at $3.10 so.... I'll be sitting long term unless someone says otherwise.
Title: Re: CPNE.OB | Commerce Planet
Post by: bjc on February 09, 2007, 02:56:15 PM
I have to admit I didn't feel too good about it either, but this stock has so much bull power I trusted the 2.75 range would provide good support.

You just can't argue with the fundamentals, considering this recent Consumer Loyalty Group (most of their revenues last quarter) growth they've been experiencing and posting in the PRs, I don't understand how EPS could be under 10c per share this quarter.  Probably $.50 + in '07.  I don't plan on selling any CPNE until it's in the double digits, provided the fundamentals don't change.

Does this represent any dilution?  I don't think so, but if it does, its maybe 10% dilution?  No big deal really.  Grand scheme here...still no questions asked.  I don't understand why they did it, but whatever.

Only down 7%..and we haven't really experienced a pullback, at least on a closing basis, since the run started.  If we close where we stand, the chart still looks great with the hammer.

422, I don't understand why you say everything's pointing down?  This is still a very bullish stock.

I think they did it to increase institutional ownership and the reason they want that is so that they can fill a prerequisite for listing on a major market (AMEX,NASDAQ,etc). It also increases awareness and maybe other institutions join in. I don t think its dilution because the shares are being bought from a "major share holder". What I don't understand is why that major share holder would sell his shares so cheap.

I think you are right about your summation of their intentions to ultimately list the company. Right now it may consolidate for a bit so I sold my shares (4000) and may sit out until the technicals look a little healthier.

This company is truly undervalued and has a great future. I estimate at least 40 to 50 cents a share in 2007....

You may miss the big moves which usually happen when you sit out on a stock. Im going to sit tight and let it ride even if it goes down to the low 2.00s, strong hands is the way to go. If the fundamentals are correct and the future is as good as it is on papper this will be a +5 bagger in a year or so. I made the same mistake with AOB not holding it and selling for a small profit from a buy in the 5s and selling in the 6s. If I held the stock to today I could of cashed out with over a 200% gain.

CPNE is up 18% since I bot in yesterday.

I have a question is how has history has shown to effect penny stocks. Yesterday CPNE was my only green stock in my port. During bear markets, does history show as much effect on penny stocks driving them down as the markets do the more "grown up" stocks?

TIA

I'm still holding tight from when David originally recommened it on the 3sof fast board..holding from 2.16.  It hurt to give it all back, but I still believe in this company.  No reason we should be carrying forward PE under 10.  Kinda wish I unloaded some shares in the 3.40s for a 60% + gain though :-\

I'd say pennies are likely to get harder by bear markets.  A bear market would be caused by bad economy, and no one feels the pain more than small companies, I believe, when times are tough.

But this isn't a bear market and this isn't a bad economy.  CPNE has to appreciate signifiantly in order for the share price to match what the company has been able to accomplish.  imo      good luck

I think if the market tanks again tomorrow, we sink too.

Yes, but beware about the long term sustainability of the business, there's a big thread about it on the Previous 3 SOF Picks message board.
