Atlantis Business Development Fits the Bill

Traders know it the instant they glance at the stock that it is "the one." In the micro cap world, that stock is the one that is drastically oversold or on the verge of completing an offering with the supply of shares hitting the open market drying up. Browsing through a list of ticker symbols earlier in the day gave us the name of a particular company that fits the bill.
Here is a little background on the company. Atlantis Business Development Corp. (OTCBB: ABSD), naturally a business development corporation, set out to issue a stock dividend to all common stock shareholders. The news was announced in mid-February as the company began moving forward to complete an agreement that would allow Nettel Holdings, Inc. to acquire a majority stake in EFTAS (Employment for the Armed Services), a subsidiary of Atlantis that helps military men and women seek civilian employment. As a result of the deal, for every two shares of Atlantis common stock owned, shareholders would receive one additional restricted share. Soon after, CEO Christopher M. Dubeau resigned effective February 26 and since that time, the company has been silent.
Coincidentally, the share price has been punished beyond belief. There could be a number of explanations here, ranging from the former executive selling his shares, to investors fed up with the lack of news, or even short sellers targeting the company before more stock hit the market due to the company's dividend. Either way, the share price fell greater than 90% in a matter of weeks. See the chart below for the downward spiral;
As of September 30, 2006, there were just 21,408,750 shares of common stock outstanding. Though we are sure that number has increased and could be on the rise (we could not get a hold of the transfer agent to verify this), the recent decline is way overdone. An indication that the stock is ready to bounce and that the selling is subsiding is that demand is starting to outweigh the supply of shares. The company did enter into an equity line of credit agreement back in 2005 and could sell additional shares, but in the immediate future, the stock is due for some upside.

Well, with all stocks you have risk vs. reward... but with the amount this stock is getting chatted up in articles, on other stock boards (such as Hotstockmarket, investorhub, etc etc...) it has all the makings of a huge day today. I would be very surprised if this did not gap at the open perhaps to 2.2 to 2.3 and then take off all day and have a huge day...
but youse pays youse money and youse takes youse chances... that being said, (and I am not pumping here) this stock is still waaaay oversold and is a huge buy at this point (ok, yes, I am semi pumping) but look at how this stock has been beaten down since 1$... I believe there is still alot of upside left.
Plus HDSN was off the ask (and has been there since 10c, snuffing out all hope of rallies... at about 2-3pm yesterday he retreated to a 5c ask... then the stock ran huge).

Why do you see the momentum stopping at 5-6cents? Seems like we could see a better gain in the weeks to come. We have not had a PR for over a month now, with volume at 9x the 10-day average we could be awaiting some good news. Perhaps an update on the sale of their subsidiary EFTAS (Employment for the Armed Services), to Nettel Holdings, Inc.
We're looking at a stock that was 1.00 a month ago (1.60 2 months ago), just before they announced the resignation of their CEO (who had previously announced this back in 01/26/07 for health reasons). Seems like Dubeau selling his shares may have been the big reason for the stock PPS dropping so much.
It seems like a business development company selling one of their successful products is a good thing, so I don't see why the sale of EFTAS to Nettel would hurt the company.
I plan to hang on for a couple weeks and see where this company is headed, GLTA. ;)

Well guys, this one sure fooled me... While I would like to lie and say I sold everything this am when I saw it start falling at 3.7c, I actually sold out 480k at 2.2c. Fortunately I bought at 1.5c, so I still made 45% or 3.4k in 2 days.
HOwever, I have to say that I have never been more pissed off at making 3.4k in 2 days, especially considering that I lost a cool 7k since this morning by getting greedy.
Lesson learned. Hopefully my otcbb trading will be better from now on.
Looking for the next one.

I think game only begins .Break on the sixth week - classical T.A.
Today I saw that the level 0.02 was taken by strong bulls .
Dealers are frightened by strong previous falling and today have started to take away profit but I am not assured that 0.02 - 0.04 is a good level for sale of a few patience and we shall probably see 0.1 - 0.2.
ONLY my OPINION
Well... I must say that right now I don't see any penny plays that I like... I will probably be kicking myself tomorrow for selling at 2.2, but I sold for several reasons...
1. I had to work most of the day and I could not sell/watch L2
2. With 500k shares, I need a daily volume of at least 4-5 million to ensure that I don't affect the price too much when I sell... I have no way of knowing if the volume will be there tomorrow or over the next few days.
I'm starting to see a few pennies develop that I like... but they are not there yet. Should develop over the next week or 2...
