IDSA up today (80.94%) on high volume  >:D >:D >:D

Industrial Services of America Inc., which manages solid waste, said Monday its first-quarter profit more than doubled on solid market conditions and a strong recycling segment.
First-quarter earnings soared to $416,526, or 12 cents per share, from $149,088, or 4 cents per share, during the year-ago period.

Quarterly revenue plunged 51.2 percent to $14.5 million from $29.7 million during the same period last year on a reduction in management fee revenue due to a previously announced loss of a customer.

IDSA on fire again  >:D >:D >:D

Bought it at the open, up 26% as I write. :)

20EMA is showing a good support on the 5min chart. The volume is great as well .

Update :

IDSA went to as high as $11.25 on heavy volume then profit taking took place  :(
As I said before 20EMA was a good support and didn't have a choice but locking my profit when price closed bellow it - about 24% since my entry this morning.

Not bad in one day  :)

Update after the closing bell :

I'm still bullish on IDSA although I sold my position as I believe the price will retrace lower and may consolidate after a run over 100% in 2 sessions.

Will keep it in my watch list.

Good luck to anyone still holding
:)

Miris ,Thanks for running an update to this thread! Applaud the alert... ;)
Looks very nice here, made a nice move.
To bad this stock was never followed after this thread was created. ???
The good thing here...
Even after this strong rise, IDSA is still very fairly valued.
When IDSA has run in the past, it's been on mo-mo and not necessarily fundamentals.
IDSA should stay around $12.00 or higher due to great earnings growth.
IDSA has gone ballistic before.
Just may see a good rise yet out of this low floater!
Earnings growth ,
Reported preliminary results for Q1 of $0.22 vs $0.12 in same quarter last year.
Could make close to $0.90 this year.
I will be watching very close for a dip, planning to buy.

Title: IDSA resurgence
Post by: ramlau on May 03, 2007, 10:34:24 AM
IDSA was a 10-bagger in 2004. The company ran on short-squeeze last time. This run will be based on earnings. Let's see if it can break its 2004 high.

Well, IDSA could get more notice now since breaking above 15.  Made it's debut on IBD's 100 list this weekend. However, if it falls back below, it will also be removed from the list.

Flag, Pennant (Continuation) Pattern.......

Flags and Pennants are short-term continuation patterns that mark a small consolidation before the previous move resumes. These patterns are usually preceded by a sharp advance or decline with heavy volume, and mark a mid-point of the move.

Pennant: A pennant is a small symmetrical triangle that begins wide and converges as the pattern matures (like a cone). The slope is usually neutral. Sometimes there will not be specific reaction highs and lows from which to draw the trend lines and the price action should just be contained within the converging trend lines.

Even though flags and pennants are common formations, identification guidelines should not be taken lightly. It is important that flags and pennants are preceded by a sharp advance or decline. Without a sharp move, the reliability of the formation becomes questionable and trading could carry added risk. Look for volume confirmation on the initial move, consolidation and resumption to augment the robustness of pattern identification.
