Nice ;D
did you buy...i bought twice 7.24 and 7.60 >:D i hope this moves to 10 next week
Ket1390, No I'm not in, money is tied up right now.
I did however look into BIDZ . I watched several auctions (watches) and checked the prices being paid for the same items on ebay. Bidz was getting much more than ebay auctions were fetching for the same item.
I think being able to bid and win in seconds, rather than waiting a week or more only to be outbid at the last minute, does have great appeal. Bidz takes care of the last minute sniping by extending the bid for 15 seconds if another bid is placed in the last 15 seconds. This I am sure can increase the final price quite a bit.
Huge projected earnings according to company guidance is a definite plus.
Good Luck, I think you will see 10$ soon!
Big time breakout!! ;D
Time to move up again ;)
Breakout ;D
I jumped in today @ 13.79 when it started moving this morning. It was screaming a BUY at the open. The earnings for this company have been a steady increase year after year and zero debt! Can't beat it. Thanks for bringing this one to my attention boatguy.
I have not found any news yet, but BIDZ just took a 9.34% drop. May just be profit taking after its nice run lately. This presents another nice buying opportunity. ;) Lets see how she reacts tomorrow.
Cheers,
Ascending triangle breakout ;D
Nice play to all. Don't know who should get applause on this play.
So I'll just say Congrats. to all and hope you make a lot of green :)

Bidz.com 3rd-Quarter Profit More Than Triples on Jewelry Sales, Beats Wall Street Estimates
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Online jewelry auctioneer Bidz.com Inc. on Monday said its third-quarter earnings more than tripled as increased revenue easily outpaced an uptick in expenses.
The company reported net income of $3.6 million, or 14 cents per share, compared with $1 million, or 4 cents per share, last year.
Revenue jumped to $40.1 million from $27.1 million a year ago due mainly to increased demand for jewelry products. Average sales per order rose to $173 from $124, while expenses also rose to $7.5 million from $5.7 million.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected a profit of 11 cents per share on revenue of $37.7 million.
Shares of Bidz.com added 40 cents to $15 in aftermarket activity after gaining 50 cents, or 3.6 percent, to close the regular trading session at $14.60. The company's stock has traded between $4.90 and $15.19 in the past year.

Just debuted on the IBD 100 at #2.
For some unknown reason companies in this sector have crazy high valuations.
If you picked it up in July and sold in August.

BIDZ.com: An Attractive Bargain.......
From its website, BIDZ.com (BIDZ) is:
the largest online jewelry auction. Up to 95% off gold jewelry, engagement rings, watches, diamond jewelry, gemstones, and much more starting at $1 no reserve, every 5 seconds.
Bidz.com is acting well. Following through on its breakout last week from a flat 7-week base structure, BIDZ closed Friday, +2.43 points on 558% average trading volume, that too on a shortened post-Thanksgiving market day.
BIDZ boasts quarterly EPS numbers of 275% and 1200% over the last two quarters, with a 3-year EPS growth of 426%. EPS estimates for the coming December quarter have also been raised recently - the same goes true for next year's estimates.
With only 11% of shares outstanding controlled by institutions, perhaps BIDZ will garner more sponsorship, as and if it executes to plan.
BIDZ's relative price strength is at an all-time high; our price and volume analysis indicates that shares are under accumulation, and its broader Business Services group also boasts no less than 17 other stock names trading close to their 52-week highs. It's numbers like these that cause BIDZ to be ranked highly (GSA Rank 72.1) in our database of high growth stocks on the move.
Be informed of the Citron (Stocklemon) warning and take heed, whether right or wrong, there ARE red flags here. Thats what caused the reversal today. Had to sell mine.
Bidz.com Reports
Strong Fourth Quarter Earnings
Online auction retailer Bidz.com (BIDZ) reported their earnings for the
year that had many take notice. The Company, which has been the
subject of many short selling blogs, reported numbers which beat estimates.
For the quarter revenue came in at $63.23 million which beat
the estimate of $58.69 million. Earnings were 29c which also beat the
17c estimate. Revenues for the year were $187.13 million which beat
the estimate of $182.58 million. The Company also issued guidance
which had revenue for the first quarter in line with estimates at $59
million to $61 million. Earnings for the first quarter were also in line
with estimates at 14c to 16c. For 2008, the revenue outlook was a little
light of estimates at $225 million to $230 million while earnings were
in line at 49c to 53c. Causing the revenue increases was the continued
demand for the Company's jewelry products, increased customer
traffic, and increased participation in its dynamic and unique auction
format. In the fourth quarter the Company saw significant increases in
all its key revenue metrics; the number of new buyers increased 56%
to approximately 110,000, the average selling price per order increased
over 37% to $169, average orders per day increased over 18% to over
4,400, average items sold per day increased 31% to over 12,700 and
acquisition cost per new buyer increased 41.7% to $51 from $36. In the
coming months, the Company noted that they to launch an online retail
store, 'BUYZ', which will have additional feature. One of those features
was noted as being the ability to customize rings and have features
such as diamond search. Going forward, the Company noted that the
increased credit facility with Bank of America was a testament to the
strength in profitability and cash flow. They also noted that they intend
to begin purchasing shares since they do not believe that their share
price accurately reflect their value. The valuation has obviously been
affected by the short sellers and the bloggers who have accused the
Company of shill bidding, having business relations with a known felon,
letting customer service deteriorate, paying the CEO in stock, and many
others. In response, the Company has cut relations with the supplier
who had a criminal background, increased their customer services, and
terminated the 10b5-1 Trading Plan for their CEO and implemented a
salary compensation method. Analysts, who defended the Company in
the aftermath of the blogger accusations, gave their two cents as well.
Am Tech noted they were buyers following better than expected fourth
quarter results. Roth Capital said they believe the Company was poised
for growth following the impressive fourth quarter. With the fourth quarter
earnings surprises and the many who have positions in both the
long and short side, the name is certainly one to watch over the coming
months, especially if the Company implements a buyback program. Investors
would be wise to watch.
In the last research note, Thinkequity stated a 20$ price target...
