Looks like HOKU might be ready for some short-term upside.

Trendline confirmed, close above support, and hammer formation.

On 5 day intra-day chart, downtrend broken with a nice cup and handle formation eod.

Alright, I might be wrong on this, but I'm hoping I can help clear up some info on the inner workings of a dividend.  From what I understand, if the Date of Record is the 24th, then the Ex-Dividend date should be the 22nd.  This means that if you sell before the 22nd, the new buyer receives the dividend. If the stock is sold on the 22nd or after, then the seller receives the dividend.  Any last-minute buying to get the dividend should be on the 21st, and people who want to lock in that dividend will sell the next day.  Just wanted to clear that up so no one holds till the 24th to get the dividend when they can get it earlier.

G - AWESOME pick as always, keep it up man   ;D

I think the zero volume for today had a lot to do with the spread.  From the open to mid-afternoon, it was .0175 x .03, and for the rest of the afternoon it was .0175 x .025.
I don't think it's much of an incentive to buy when there is a 30 to 42 percent spread between the bid and the ask, which can make for quite a hefty loss if you decide to get out.

Penny Stock Picking / Double or nothing: EYII
September 13, 2005, 04:15:11 PM
Hey guys, just had a question:
Does anyone know of any stocks that had a similar Letter Of Intent, whose contract was finalized? I understand that each stock is individual with its chart pattern, but it might show what kind of price movement we can expect if the contract is finalized, and what kind of price movement we can expect with the following days.  I feel that this can possibly help with finding a good exit point, seeing if it moves up following the contract, or if the day of the contract is the highest point. Thoughts or input appreciated! Thanks in advance.  ;D

I believe this is just personal challenge for David to turn $1,000 into $1,000,000. As stated, there is definitely risk involved, as David has advised to not follow. Also, by diversifying with such a small amount of money, it would be hard to see any exponential growth, which is the initial objective by reinvesting all capital for each individual trade. Investing $1,000 and getting 100%, and then reinvesting that capital would yield much higher gains. By spliiting the capital into 4 trades, you would need 4 100% gains to achieve the same amount of capital, which would be much harder. If you are looking for stop losses, diversification, and sells under/over 100%, then the 3 Stocks On Fire Portfolio seems much more suited for your needs. Of course, others are doing their own challenges in the $1,000,000 board, so you could possibly use Davids/Other Members/Your own picks and give it a try with your own spin.  :)

Thanks setravis, I know a lot of good people contribute to this site and make it what it is, and would hate for anyone to go unnoticed for their work. Applauds to all involved  :)

Come on guys, do I get no credit?  ??? I found this stock through my own scans, but did not want to take credit for a stock pick someone else might have already come across. This thread was dead for over a week and a half, as I could have easily started my own. I in no way mean to compain, but please be aware of those who contribute to this great community, and credit is definitely due to Saffeysite1 for an awesome pick, but also to higherstocks who started a thread on VYST in June, and to eliteG for discovering the G-pattern in this stock.  :-\
Thanks to all who contribute to this site.

Seems the G-pattern is holding up quite well  8) Entered the next day at open at .179 when the G-pattern was confirmed. Great pick Saffeysite1, and thanks to eliteG for an awesome pattern to follow  ;)
This one's moving up quite steep, but it closed at .315, well above its 52 week high of .25
Here's the one year with the break of the 52 week high

And the three month, with orange being the break of the G-spot, and red being the next day entry at open.

Ok, done with the update ;D  Thanks again all!
