Agree with you completely. I made over $3K on CNOA over the past 2 days. If you don't mind me asking, what metrics did you use to find SKNN?

Hi Ket,

I've done very well holding ISRG through earnings since 2004 ( with the exception of one quarter )..I guess it just depends upon the stock..did get hit hard on CIMT, though.

Stock Picking / Re: TZOO is attractive

I don't comment often, but I follow your picks closely.  In my opinion, your track record is exceptional.  I didn't have a good feeling re TZOO, but I bought anyway. It's well worth it to me for you to have a "bad apple" or two in light of all your good choices. Keep up the good work.. it's much appreciated!

Yukiii,

I've done quite well with many of David's picks so I cant complain; however, I believe that your voice adds value to this forum and I, for one, hope that you stick around...nothing wrong with a dissenting opinion. We're all big boys and girls.. from thesis and antithesis comes synthesis!

Thanks again, David.

After I posed the question last night, I attempted to replicate your logic ( and system ) with an Excel spreadsheet. For optimal selling price, I took final estimated share price and divided it by 1.16 over three years. So, for SILC, for example:

$148.96/1.16 = $128.41/1.16 = $110.70/1.16 = $95.43

.... pretty close...

Again, thanks for all your great work. It's really paying off!!!

Hi David,

If you don't mind, could I ask you the source/service you use to get the historical share count information? Your valuation approach is excellent!

Hi David,

Love your analysis. One quick question: could you explain the calculation in deriving the $95.50 optimal selling price? Thanks!

More Orders for CECE!

CECO Environmental Announces Three New Orders Totaling $1.7 Million

New Subsidiary Books $2.9 Million In First Month
Bookings For The First Quarter Total $46.2 Million

NEW YORK, April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CECO Environmental Corp. (Nasdaq: CECE - News), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has received three new orders totaling $1.7 million.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "These three orders come from the aluminum, the acid, and the wastepaper recycling industries. The first project is in Russia, the second in South Africa, and the third in the southeastern United States. They were booked by our Busch International, CECO Filters India, and Kirk & Blum subsidiaries. The order secured by our operation in India is the second largest in its history.

"We are very encouraged with the performance of our newest subsidiary, Effox. In their first month as part of the CECO Environmental family they booked over $2.9 million worth of new business. We are also pleased to report that almost $500,000 of this new business came from other CECO Environmental companies. This is business that was being placed elsewhere prior to the acquisition so it is new business for Effox."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CECO, stated, "Our bookings for the first quarter were approximately $46.2 million. First quarter bookings last year were approximately $35.3 million. This represents more than a 30% increase over last year's new order rate."

Hi David,

You produced a very thorough in-depth video analysis on CHINA. Do you have a similar analysis prepared on ASTI?

I purchased ASTI today at $8.85/shr.

Thanks.

Previous 3SOF Picks / Re: Silver will benefit: SLV

Hi David,

I'm not sure that I can trade ETFs in 401(k). In lieu of SLV and GLD, are there specific gold and silver stocks that you could suggest? Thanks!

 :D

Thanks for your analysis, David. I was fortunate enough to catch the dip this morning and buy additional shares at $2.71 ( one of the few times in my stock trading life that's happened!). I wouldn't have had the nerve to jump without your thoughtful analysis.

Aussie,

Great Pick! I entered this morning at $2.73 / share.. never expected such a rapid rise.. did see that MDB Capital initiated this am with a $6 target if the company can demonstrate shortly an OPERABLE IPM design in the new micro-form factor.
