Trading Systems / Re: Hindenburg Omen
June 29, 2007, 12:23:04 AM
Tire,

Those are great stats and interesting stuff, but dont get caught up in forecasting.  Its bad for trading. just go with the trend until it changes.  Look for weaking signs on the weekly and monthly MACD and momentum lines with rising prices.  That would portend bearish signals.  Right the market is in a trading corridor, no real trend, so you stay on sidlines with no new positions, just sit tight with open positions with tight stops to protect profits.  When the trend changes:down, sell and go short, if the market moves up past old highes, add to long positions.  Thats it.  You should be able to write down on a business card your trading method and stategy, if not it is to confusing and your trading will be confusing.

Hope I cleared up the Omen,

yeah.  tks Art ;D.   Been so busy, sorry havent gotten back to anybody.  Esp. Arts personal emails, not.

I bought IMMU more on a fundamental basis.  Have some good drugs in trial phase 3.  I have heard that they had a good product on some paperwork I have read, but that could be a long ways away.  chart is ugly right now.  Not a good trading stock.  Hoping it has bottomed out today.  See if it holds 4.50 if not i am dumping it.

Personal Logs / Saffeysite1 is back.

ITs been a long time folks.  I have been busy with getting married and having child and new job.  Now just trying to catch up.  Some of the posts look familiar (names) some dont.   Hope all is well for all fellow traders here on 3SOF.

Although I have concentraded more of my efforts on Futures, esp.  in GRains and Meats.  But I still put trades on in the market.  So I will share with you what my current positions are.  90% are techincal basis and 10% fundamental.  Dont have time to chart and all that good stuff, but if you look hard enough you will see my reasons why.

Long: IMMU at $4.95 (chart is great and a big private placement at $4.95).
          LNDC at $13.00.
          KKD at $8.50
          HP at $27
          POT at $98

Short:  NDX at Yest close.  DJIA at close today.  These are for June contracts.
          GOOG at todays close.
Looking to buy:CAAS tomorrow.  High flyer momentum stock with low float, volume has moved in the last two days, has broken short term downtrend, 13 and 26 EMA are turning up.  This stock moves fast, so keep your eyes on the ball when it runs.  always use a trailing stop with this one.

till next post.
see youll soon,

Earnings out.  %55 increase revenues, 108% increase in operating revenues.  Looks good to me so far.  The stock has not sold off, so I believe the street is happy.

Stock Picking / Time to get back in Nat. Gas stocks.
April 13, 2006, 05:29:37 PM
I donnot have time to post charts and all the goodies.  But in short, Nat. gas has bottomed out and so have all the small cap nat. gas stocks.  Look to get into:NGAS, CSPLF, SYNM and HAWK.

Also as an added bonus:  one beaten up oil rig stock that has hit bottom: PKD.

These are ready to start moving up.  The old saying "buy low and sell high".

Stock Picking / Re: HOLY COW look at this Chart SWB
April 13, 2006, 05:26:30 PM
SWB has been working on a three year cup and handle.  This was one of the first stocks I ever owned.  Now it's time to buy it again.  It is on its second wave, for those that follow Elliot Waves.
Get your guns.  Since Winchester closed its doors this year, I guess for SWB there is not much competition left.

Stock Picking / Re: NWD - feeding a billion plus
January 26, 2006, 11:30:35 PM
Looks like NWD is making its way back up after some sideways consolidation in the $1.50 - $1.60 range.  Today it broke out away from the base and moved above the 50MA.

Looks good.  In at 1.55

Stock Picking / Shorting the Airline Industry.
January 22, 2006, 01:15:43 PM
With oil spiking to near $70 a barrel.   The situaion in Iran is speculative, but the problem in Nigeria is real and  a bottom line for Oil right now.  So with that being sad, it doesn't look goodfor airlines in the short term.

I bought shorts on [email protected], [email protected].  I will look to buy shorts on CAL Monday.

I am heavily vested in MRB.  I think it' only in its second wave of a five wave up cycle so far.  Could double very soon with Gold ramping up this week.
