Stock Picking / Re: SVVS Worth a Look
June 17, 2005, 02:36:24 AM
Agreed.  Been in and out of this stock since .70 ... .38.... and now back in at .91.  Volume has picked up over the last couple days again and the future looks bright.  Private investors Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe are at the helm from the investment side although Constellation Ventures and General Electric have pitched in as well.  Customers include Google, Microsoft, Intel, the list goes on - can't believe the stock is so low.

Also positive notes are that the government is looking to revamp its network infrastructure ($20 B worth) and where in the past names like Sprint, ATT, Nortel, IBM, etc.. have been given bids, it looks like Savvis has been preparing to be somewhat of a competitor with the big boys.

Also interesting is that Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe have close ties to the Carlysle Group (George Bush Sr.'s) investment group.  These two went in 1/2'ers on DexMedia a few years back for $8 B.  Anyway, these guys have deep pockets and I believe have been at work creating a monster that will only gain notoriety in the coming months.  Savvis (IMO) will get some of the $20 B being handed out by the U.S. Gov't w/ in a year which will only build on the credibility of 'The Company That Powers Wall Street' (Savvis).

Sorry for the book, but this is stock that will rock.  No downside here.  Get in now or later, it won't matter because this one is going UP.
