Stock Market Talking / Re: Trading desk setup
July 01, 2005, 11:41:09 AM
To go portable, I love my Treo 650 PDA/cellphone working under Palm OS. I use Stock Manager by tinystocks.com to keep my portfolio updated, with 15 min delay. I can travel Coast to Coast & still get most of the critical info I need. It feeds from Yahoo Financials.  ;D

Thanks Dave! You sound like the answer to my prayers! ;D  I would suggest to lower the broker's fee as much as possible. In the US I use www.lowtrades.com at $5 buy or sell. That's the cheapest I found, with excellent & accurate service.  I'll be glued to this forum from now on....

Yeah, Dave? How about us small time players, not able to cover all 15 at 6%? Anybody here? given that commissions are $5 each way (lowtrades.com), any rough ideas what should be the minimum to invest on each stock? $300? $500? $1000?  And if we were to pick from the 15, say only top 4-5, should we just joing the bandwagon & shoot for the top performers? Any guidance from anybody will be appreciated. Thanks. Dan ;)

Sold IIJI @ $12.90 in the pre-market. The company surprised the market fixing the IPO price in Japan yesterday night. There's no motive to hold this stock now. I got a 100% profit, couldn't quite sell at the high because of this surprise news from the company (sordid news, pretty slick manipulators those guys at IIJI).

Have a nice day !
Hey David, I placed an order to sell 15 min before the market opened & sold @ 12.98. You got 12.90? How does this work? first come, first served when the market opens?  Dan
