Pick:
IFO - Infosonics Corp

This is more of a earnings play, which is scheduled for 3/8.

With that in mind, I checked out the fundamentals of this stock.
Net Sales growth
2004:Q1-18.7mil, Q2-17.7mil, Q3-17.4mil, Q4-18.9mil
2005:Q1-24.0mil, Q2-32.5mil, Q3-54.2mil, Q4-reporting 3/8

EPS growth
2004:Q1-0.06, Q2-0.09, Q3-0.06, Q4-0.02
2005:Q1-0.05, Q2-0.07, Q3-0.13, Q4-reporting 3/8

"Estimates income from continuing operations before provision for income tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, to be at least $0.9 million, compared with $0.2 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2004."  "Revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, is estimated to be at least $34.0 million, an increase of 74% as compared with $19.6 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2004."

The stock is currently trading at 4.42-Price/Book, that's a bargain for this kind of growth potential.

On Jan 30th, the company had a private placement for 13.5mil, priced the company at 13.1 and issued warrants for 18.38.  Perhaps, if I was an investor at the time of the announcement, I would be like what the hell...  Since I wasn't, I been monitoring the stock and it has corrected itself to price in the premium paid for the debt issue.  This is actually good for new investors coming in, using the private placement as a benchmark, don't forget institutional/private investors has valued this stock around 13.10 and believe it has potential to hit 18.38.  In many cases when mini caps looks for capital, investors expect and demand risk premium, its expected.

Currently looking at the stock, the stock has been up for 5 straight days.  It's just screaming for a break-out, it had attempted to go lower but it failed twice.  I believe its called a double bottom, but not sure with the terminology.  If earnings is a blowout, who know where this stock will hit, 20? +60%, the competition?  FYI, I added 900 shares to my portfolio.

The Lounge / Trading and traveling in Asia

Has anybody ever traded using their existing US accounts while in Asia (especially China)?  I plan to take a trip to China this summer and wondering where I stand if I need to place a trade.  Thanks!

The Lounge / Source of Capital

I currently trade on margin, as you all know interest rate has gone up and will continue to do so.  In the past I used credit cards and locked in 0% for a yr, with great discipline and luck I was able to return the funds.  Has anybody use other methods, by all means this topic does not encourage trading on funds you can't afford to loose and throwing yourself in debt.  I am currently at my risk tolerance and looking to be more cost effective.

Stock Picking / Re: HOM

Too bad I can't day trade, otherwise everytime it hits below 5.5.  BUY BUY BUY!!!  You know what those days are over, people are realizing and playing that card dead.  I belive we will not see 5.5 again, lets shift the game to 6.  Lets categorize this is a earnings play, BUY BUY BUY evey time it hits below 6 till earnings.

A month has passed since my last post on this stock.  Wow, can any stock have more negative attention?  Not even GOOG...  9 of the last 10 analyst opinions has been a downgrades...  O what!!  Lower revenue guidance??  Tell the market something that we don't know and expect.  P/E at 14.5, P/B at 3.35, 12.77B in cash, Dividend yield at 2%.  What do you guys think?

I actually bought 700 shares of INTC at 21.53 for the same reasoning.  I believe the stock alone has been hit with tons of downgrades in jan, fear of loosing shares to AMD, potential bankrupcy, etc. and the market has been dragging it down.  With very low expectations, going into next earnings season pressure will be focused elsewhere.  Basically I feel its oversold, regardless I have to hold for 3 months due to trade restrictions from work.  I'm actually looking into YHOO as well, alot of negativity in that sector.  I'm trying to lower risk by opening positions at seperate time frame.  GL with trading all!
