Why are you looking for dividends? I dislike dividends. The company pays taxes and then you pay income taxes. Moreover stocks usually adjust to dividends paid by going down by the same amount. No fun in dividends.

Hi David,

I agree with you about dividends, but I have one big exception: The Canadian energy trusts with monthly dividends.  Considering also the peak oil, these trusts could have a fantastic potential for the long term, special when the crude begin to rise.

If you have time take a look to some of them: PGH, PWI, AAV

David,

Do you have anything against CFD? In short positions they work very well. You can leverage and you receive interests on a daily basis.

One of my favorite strategies for Bear times is sell put options out of the money, where I consider the strike price cheaper in terms of Company fundamental value.  I don't mind if I will have to buy the shares on the maturity date. But this is for the long term.

David Options are not so simple as you are writing. The price change with the time and special with the volatility.

If you are not looking for the volatility you are playing a losing  game. Try to buy puts with a low volatility (in historic terms).

Thanks for your nice words David. I am doing the home work. Probably it is a good stock for the Main Portfolio

•$0.28 EPS in 2006 puts the trailing earnings multiple at 20, which seems a bit high

I understand your point,  but the results are increasing in the last years.  In 2006 they had: EPS for Q4 was $0,13. (Q3  $0,06, Q2 $0,04; Q1  $0,05).  If the Q4 EPS wasn t irregular we could expect an EPS for 2007 at least  $0,52. If this is true we will have a PER around 10,7 which is cheaper

Hi Guloso, do I know you? Where did we used to talk? www.bolsainvest.pt? Or www.clubeinvest.com? What was your nickname, maybe I remember you.

As for MFI, the stock has very low average volume, just 30,000 shares or so traded today. Would you like me to do a brief long term fundamental analysis on it?

I wrote in both, but I changed several times the username. Don t worry if you don t remembers me. Normally we never forget the Gurus, but the opposite isn t true.

Yes, please. Despite the Daily average is around the 35.000, it seems to me the Fundamentals are good: Results are improving strong in the last years; good balance,

Hi David,

Hope you are fine. Long time without to talk with you (previously we talked in our native language).  I feel stupid in write to you in English!!!  First of all, congratulations to you and to PM for all the good work.  Keep on that!

What do you think about MFI?  The Average Daily Volume is lower than the 50.000 (around 35.000) but the chart and fundamentals are good.

Hi David,

Could you check MFI today?  It seems it is preparing a new strong movement. Thanks.
