Well there it is~ Star Trek is now in on the action.

Star Trek Enters Funeral Service Universe
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Eternal Image, a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of licensed brand image funerary products such as caskets and urns, announced on Sept. 14 that it has executed an agreement to design, manufacture and market a line of Star Trek branded funeral products. The line will include collector-quality urns, caskets, memorials and vaults. The international agreement encompasses the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Korea and Japan.

"After launching our company in 2006 with sports, collectible, religious and pet branded items, the agreement provides us with a tremendous opportunity to enter the entertainment industry category with an extremely popular and well-loved brand," said Clint Mytych, CEO Eternal Image.

"These licensed-image Star Trek products offer true fans a unique expression of their commitment to the franchise. For many years fans have asked for these types of products - or made their own - and we believe the Star Trek audience will embrace the idea which will create a very strong demand," added Mytych.

Eternal Image has begun the design process and expects to begin shipping urns and caskets to distributors in late 2007.

Building Q, a licensing and marketing firm headquartered in Medford, New Jersey, represented Eternal Image in the acquisition of the license.

About Eternal Image

Catholics dying for Vatican Library endorsed coffins

The Vatican Library has endorsed its own line of burial caskets and urns for sale through a US company called Eternal Image.

In late 2004, the Vatican started negotiations with the company to incorporate images from its collection on the company's urns.

The first Vatican-licensed caskets will be available later this year.

One urn that stands 50 centimetres tall, capped with a cross, is said to dwarf standard urns.

The Library will earn a commission from sales.

With endorsements from Major League Baseball and the Vatican, business is booming for funeral products company
Lawn Griffiths, Tribune
Dearly departed Diamondbacks fans will soon be able to have their cremated remains put into an urn that is "hand-designed using die-cast aluminum with proprietary clear coat finish" sitting atop a home plate-shaped base outlined in black.

A real baseball — provided with the urn or the fan's prized autographed baseball — will rest on the top. The D-Backs logo will boldly accent the urn.

Or they can be buried in Major League Baseball-sanctioned caskets, with exterior woods like those of baseball bats, and a Diamondbacks logo on the inside lid and on the pillow. In the near future, fans of any of the 30 major league teams can go out of this world sporting team colors and logos. (www.eternalimage.net). So far 12 team styles are available.

Meanwhile, Catholics may order from the official Vatican Library Collection of caskets or have ashes in elegant urns sporting the Collection seal.

"My company seeks to provide people with a truly fitting way to remember their loved ones," said Clint Mytych, president of Eternal Image, based in Farmington Hills, Mich. "We feel that up until we came around, most urns and caskets were pretty generic and plain."

Founded in 2002, the company embarked on developing Catholic funeral products, including artfully striking urns. One urn that stands 18 1/2 inches tall, capped with a cross, dwarfs standard urns.

Then came late 2004, when Eternal Image was contacted by the Vatican. Mytych said representatives of the Vatican Library Collection liked what they had seen in the Eternal Image product line. By spring 2005, the company gained a Vatican license for worldwide distribution of its goods. They say it's the first time the Vatican Library has endorsed funeral products. The library earns proceeds from the company's sales.

"We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a license like that," Mytych said.
The Roman Catholic Church ended its objections to cremation in 1963. Though it still does not recommend it, the church allows it as an option to the faithful. More than 40 years later, the Catholic cemeteries in Chicago, for example, report that 12 percent of families choose cremation, and it is increasing about 1 percent each year. Mytych said for the general American population, about one in three bodies is cremated.

The first Vatican-licensed caskets will be available later this year.

Besides gaining marketing licenses from Major League Baseball and the Vatican, the company has one with Precious Moments, which designed five original pieces for Eternal Image — figurines not available in its regular product line. Other companies are being pursued for product themes. The company has licenses from American Kennel Club and Cat Fanciers Association to produce urns for the ashes of dogs and cats.

"What we have done is allow people to remember their loved one in a way that they lived their lives. ... We want people to celebrate the life of someone and not focus on the death," Mytych said.

Products are made in Asia and assembled in the U.S. Those intended to hold human remains are sold only through funeral homes. Sales for the first half of 2007 have doubled from the previous year, said Nick Propravsky, vice president for sales and marketing. "It's hard to keep stock in warehouses," he said. "Everything we make tends to sell as fast as we can make them."

In July, the company opened European operations.

Eternal Image plans to apply to trade on OTC Bulletin Board
By Sheena Harrison

3:01 am, August 20, 2007

Farmington Hills-based funeral-products-maker Eternal Image Inc. (OTC: ETIM.PK) plans to file in the next six weeks to trade up to the OTC Bulletin Board stock exchange, CEO Clint Mytych said.

Eternal Image makes caskets and urns that use licensed images from Major League Baseball teams, the Vatican Library, the American Kennel Club and other groups and companies. The company's stock currently trades on the Pink Sheets, a book of small stocks that don't trade on exchanges.

Mytych said moving to the bulletin board would help boost Eternal Image's clout with investors and move the company closer to one day trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

"It gives us credibility in the investment community because we're a fully reporting company," Mytych said.

Earlier this month, Eternal Image concluded an audit of its financial statements from 2004 to 2006 in anticipation of moving to the bulletin board.

Mytych said the company was required to audit its past two fiscal years to file for the bulletin board. But the company audited three years of statements in hopes that going "above and beyond" the requirements would expedite the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's decision process.

For the first quarter ended March 31, Eternal Image reported a net loss of $535,956 on revenue of $165,530. The company reported a net loss of $107,481 in the first quarter of 2006 but did not report revenue for that period because the company — founded in 2002 — didn't start selling products until the fourth quarter of 2006.

As of March 31, Eternal Image reported total assets of $965,169 and total liabilities of $664,989.

Penny Stock Picking / ETIM CUBS Casket
April 09, 2007, 11:59:18 AM
Cubs casket aproved by MLB.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Apr 09, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Eternal Image, Inc.
(OTC:ETIM.PK), a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and
marketing of brand image caskets and urns, today announced that Major League
Baseball(TM) has approved the first design in the upcoming MLB(TM) casket line.

"This approval paves the way for us to move forward and create the designs for
the other seven caskets to be included in the first group that will be produced
this summer," said Clint Mytych, CEO of Eternal Image.

The approved design features the Chicago Cubs. The club will be one of the first
eight teams featured in the casket line, which will feature all 30 major league
teams by the close of 2008.

The caskets will be crafted from EI's proprietary composite and decorated with
various woods and metals. Each casket will be instantly recognizable for the
team after which it is designed. The supple interior fabric will feature the
team logo and colors for the pillow and fabric trim.

Caskets Follow Successful Urn Line Launch

The casket line will correspond to the just-launched MLB(TM) urn line. That line
features eight MLB(TM) teams (Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, Braves, Cubs, Tigers,
Phillies and Dodgers) and has been receiving a great deal of attention from
funeral homes and consumers. The entire first production run sold-out through
pre-orders before the product had even arrived in the US. The company has
submitted a production request for a second order - double the size of the
first.

"The positive reaction to the MLB(TM) urns from funeral homes and consumers
really validates that consumers want choice when planning funerals, and the
MLB(TM) caskets will be one more important option they can consider when making
funerary product selections," said Mytych. "We expect the first caskets to be
available for shipping early this fall."

Urns and caskets featuring the balance of 22 Major League Baseball(TM) teams
will launch in late 2007 and through 2008.

Todays company statement-

A message from Clint Mytych, CEO

This is a very exciting time for us: we have begun distribution of our first products – urns from Major League Baseball™, the Vatican Library Collection™ and American Kennel Club™ -- all of which have been very well received. The rest of our initial product line (including products featuring Precious Moments and Cat Fanciers' Association) are in the production cue. Keep reading to catch up on all the news – and watch your email for quarterly editions of "The Last Word." - Clint

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bulletin Board & Audit Update

Much will change for Eternal Image later this spring, and not just in terms of product. The audit of our financial statements for our most recent year end is currently in progress. Soon we will also apply to move our stock activity from the privately-held Pink Sheets to the NASDAQ-operated Over the Counter (OTC) Bulletin Board service, a fully reporting exchange. Steps to initiate the move are underway, and an announcement of our audited financial statements as of December 31, 2006 and the operations for two years that ended should be available this month.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We'll be Reining (with) Cats & Dogs

Pet owners have long had little choice when it came to memorializing their four-legged friends. Our agreements with the American Kennel Club™ and Cat Fanciers' Association™ changes all that. Our AKC products are pre-selling extremely well and our CFA products are in early development – we expect to show a design this spring. Our goal: to be the kings of pet funerary products – so we can say we're "reining" cats & dogs!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Shipment of Major League Baseball™ Urns Sells Out

If you missed the news release, our first shipment of MLB urns sold out before it ever reached the U.S. That order is now being organized for shipping to our distributors and funeral homes. The next order will be available to our customers in May. We do not expect the additional manufacturing order to impact the design and tooling schedules for the next 12 urns or the first eight caskets, both scheduled to debut this September. And for reference, the most often requested teams are: 1) Boston Red Sox, 2) New York Yankees and 3) Philadelphia Phillies.

A CREATIVE AFTERLIFE: Rise in cremations creates a market for cremation urns

By SYDNEY SCHWARTZ
The Patriot Ledger

BROCKTON - Lynne Campbell and her father chuckled when they saw an official Red Sox cremation urn featured in Sports Illustrated. That was a year ago, and they joked that whoever went first would get one.

Her father, John H. Richard, 78, a Fenway faithful, died in September before the Major League Baseball urns were available.

But this coming week, his remains will be among the first on the South Shore transferred to one of the new vessels, which are seated on a home plate-shaped base and have a baseball display dome cover.

''I'm so happy that I can get this for my dad,'' said Campbell, of Brockton.

''The World Series, that was the happiest day of our life. He was an awesome Red Sox fan ... and a great dad.''

Cremations have grown in popularity in recent years, rising to nearly 30 percent of final arrangements nationally.

And with their increase, the variety of urns

available to hold the cremated remains has skyrocketed - with a plethora of thematic containers that reflect passions, personalities and final wishes.

You can now spend eternity inside a vessel that looks like a golf club or a racing car. You can choose a biodegradable container, a birdbath or wind chimes.

There are pieces of jewelry that hold small amounts of ''cremains'' and even yellow-tinted diamonds made from them.

''People want something that they can relate to in life,'' said Scott R. Hamel, funeral director at the Quincy-based Cremation Society of Massachusetts. ''It's to be personalized with their life experience, maybe a hobby or a favorite vacation place or item.''

In Massachusetts, an estimated 27 percent of the dead were cremated in 2005, up from 26 percent the previous year and 24 percent in 2000. That number could reach 30 percent by 2010, according to the Cremation Association of North America.

The organization said in 2005, about 6 percent of people nationally bought ''keepsake'' items like jewelry or special urns for cremations.

''Funeral service is just like the rest of society. People want choices and want things to become very, very personal,'' said Bob Biggins of the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home in Rockland. ''Every family celebrates life differently.''

This coming week, Michigan-based Eternal Image will release the Boston Red Sox urn, along with urns for the Cardinals, the Cubs, the Yankees and several other teams.

The company, founded in 2002, also has licensing agreements with The Vatican Library and Precious Moments. For pets, they make urns with the American Kennel Club and the Cat Fanciers Association.

''It provides a lighthearted touch to otherwise an unpleasant product to have to choose,'' said CEO Clint Mytych.

And funeral directors say its not just the urns - cremation itself provides choice.

Traditionally, people would scatter remains in the ocean or put them in a cemetery - but ''those two options don't speak to necessarily everyone,'' said Jacquelyn Taylor, associate professor of funeral service at Mount Ida College in Newton.

She said over time many people brought ashes home because they didn't know what to do with them and then got used to them being there.

''Part of this was an outgrowth of just providing alternatives to people,'' Taylor said. ''If you're going to have ashes at home, make it more permanent.''

Hamel said cremation is increasing because of mobility and money. Families are spreading out around the country, so there's no central place for a burial. Economically, cremations are a lot more affordable. He said a funeral costs about $10,000 and cremations are about $1,500.

At Duxbury Cemetery and Crematory, the only cremation facility on the South Shore, the two-hour-plus process costs $230, plus a $75 medical examiner's fee. Plymouth is also hoping to open a crematorium in the next few years.

Duxbury cemetery director Patricia Pappas said the crematorium handled 3,100 cremations in 2006, up 300 or so from the previous year. Sometimes, she said, there are as many as a dozen a day.

''A lot more people are being cremated nowadays,'' said Nicholas Pirro III of Quality Vault & Casket in Leominster, the New England distributor for the baseball urns, who opened his company last fall.

Pirro said he has nearly 30 preorders for Major League Baseball urns from funeral homes - both for Red Sox and Yankees vessels. He'll receive his first shipment this coming week.

''It seems to be a pretty popular item,'' he said.

Campbell said when she started looking for the Red Sox urn in September, no one had heard of it. She put her father's ashes in a pyramid-shape stone urn, and glued on Red Sox pins.

She eventually found the urn on the Internet and a friend, Larry Creutz of Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel in Hingham, contacted the supplier.

''It was very important to me to get that for him,'' she said. ''I really was kind of heartbroken that I thought it didn't really exist.''

Campbell said she plans to put her father's urn in her formal living room, but move it for some special occasions.

''For the Yankee games, it's going to be right by that TV and bring us all the luck that we can get,'' she said.

Sydney Schwartz may be reached at [email protected] .

10:09a ET March 23, 2007 (Business Wire)
Eternal Image, Inc. (OTC:ETIM.PK), a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of licensed brand image caskets and urns, today announced that it received the first production American Kennel Club(TM) urns from the manufacturer via air freight. Shipping of the balance of the urns is in progress.

Immediately upon receipt of the first urns, Eternal Image president Clint Mytych shipped the very first urn off the line to AKC(TM) executives to commemorate the event.

"The urns are really beautiful - even more lovely than we had anticipated - and it was very exciting to ship the very first one to AKC(TM) management," said Clint Mytych, president of Eternal Image. "AKC(TM) really believed in us from the beginning and has been an outstanding partner. It felt wonderful to be able to show them a truly finished product."

Mytych added that the first two-thirds of the first shipment have been committed to customers through pre-sales and that the balance will be available first-come first-serve through vendors including AKC.com, Cherrybrook.com and Dog.com.

The AKC(TM) urns are crafted from burnished copper and bronze die-cast aluminum. The base has a highly-polished clear coat finish that offers the appearance of wood. The AKC(TM) logo is embossed on the face of the metal casing and a photo window has been designed into the top of the urn so that the owner can insert a favorite photo of the pet. On the base are fittings for a customized metallic nameplate provided with the urn.
