Gemini Explorations Inc. Increases Projected Cash Flow of the Los Chorros Gold Mine
Monday November 5, 2:30 am ET

Mine Modernization Projected to Yield US$12,960,000 of Net Cash Flow to Gemini

CALGARY, AB--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 5, 2007 -- Gemini Explorations Inc. ("Gemini") (OTC BB:GXPI.OB - News) is pleased to report that it has it has increased the cash flow projections for the Los Chorros Gold Mine. On October 25, 2007 Gemini reported vein sample results averaging 41.94 g/tonne Au which has increased the projected production yield from 12 to 20 grams per tonne. MPGS reports that a 100 tonne per day production rate would produce US$1,080,280 monthly and over US$12,900,000 annually. These estimates are based on US$730 per ounce gold with US$200 per ounce operating and production costs netting US$530 per ounce.

The Los Chorros Mine is currently being mined with extremely antiquated equipment and this report further solidifies Gemini's belief that the project could be turned into a highly efficient producing gold project with low capital costs. Current mining operations at Los Chorros recover a low percentage of the available gold and precious metals present on the property. The plant would initially run at 30 to 50 tonnes/day with a targeted production rate of 100 tonnes per day during the first year. The total cost of the project is estimated to be US$595,900, adding a contingency factor of 30% would bring the maximum projected total to US$774,700.The reports were prepared by general manager Juan Fernando Restrepo and chief geologist Carlos Alberto Vera of Minera Primecap Geological Services (MPGS) of Medellin, Colombia.

Historically one of the largest gold producing countries in the world, Colombia's vast mineral potential has remained virtually unexplored using modern exploration and mining techniques. The Department (Province/State) of Antioquia alone produces over 1,000,000 ounces of gold per year currently, and most of it is produced from antiquated production equipment and facilities. Driven by a new era of political and economic stability and an investment-friendly mining code, Colombia has emerged as one of the resource sector's most attractive new mining frontiers.

Company Profile - Gemini Explorations (GXPI.OB)

Gemini will be focused on the development and exploitation of the La Planada Gold Project in the southern region of Colombia. Gemini explorations newly acquired La Planada property is located in the municipality of Sotomayor, department of the Nariño, in southwestern Colombia. Access to the property is approximately 80 km from Pasto the capital city of the Nariño department by open road. The project covers 45 hectares and is composed of Dagua Group Upper Cretaceous quartzites and siliceous siltstones intruded by a granodiorite plug. There are at least 3 different crosscutting vein sets. The principal vein ranges between 0.4 m and 2.0 m in width. Other veins range between 3 and 20 cm (or more) in width. All carry some sulphides, and free gold was seen in both quartz and with the sulphides.

On, Feburary 21st, 2007, GXPI announced that it has reached an agreement in principle to contract the services of Minera Primecap Geological Services SA (MPGS) of Medellin, Colombia to assist in the development and exploitation of Gemini's wholly owned La Planada Gold Project in southern Colombia. MPGS have worked extensively on the L aPlanada property and were instrumental in Gemini's decision to purchase this key property in the Los Andes Sotomayor Gold Belt of southern Colombia.

La Planada Gold Project (Nariño, Colombia)
Gemini explorations newly acquired La Planada property is located in the municipality of Sotomayor, department of the Nariño, in southwestern Colombia. Access to the property is approximately 80 km from Pasto the capital city of the Nariño department by open road. The project covers 45 hectares and it has an exploitation (mining) license (#17486) for a period of 10 years, and is renewable for an additional 10 years. This license is effective from November 28, 2001. An environment management plan was issued by the Colombian government in November 21, 2001. In addition the owners are required to present a production report every three months.

About La Planada
La Planada property is composed of Dagua Group Upper Cretaceous quartzites and siliceous siltstones intruded by a granodiorite plug. Surface exposure is excellent and there were numerous workings at various elevations that can be roughly traced from one elevation to another. The width of the zone (i.e. within the property boundaries) appears much greater than other surrounding properties. There are at least 3 different crosscutting vein sets. The principal vein ranges between 0.4 m and 2.0 m in width. Other veins range between 3 and 20 cm (or more) in width. All carry some sulphides, and free gold was seen in both quartz and with the sulphides. Disseminated sulphides were seen in the host rock sediments, and these will probably contain low-grade gold values, although these have yet to be lab verified. Samples should be taken from two newly reported workings, and of mixed vein and host rock material and it is anticipated that we will get good values from the vein and sulphide material. Panned concentrates from both vein material and tailings showed fine to medium gold.

Assuming the average grade across host rock and vein material on La Planada produces a grade similar to that at surrounding properties there is every reason to think that the deposit could be processed by bulk mining of the entire zone. The ore would be processed using the same method, and probably the same plant, as that proposed for surrounding properties.

La Planada Mineral Composition
The entire Planada property has excellent rock exposure. The surface could be stripped and then, samples could be taken in vertical channels across both vein and host rock. However, this work would take a considerable amount of time and would still require a drill program to outline grade and tonnage below surface. Therefore assuming positive results from the initial sampling program, near-term exploration should go directly to a reverse circulation drill program to confirm tonnage and grade of the deposit. A drill rig could be brought in by truck to the general area of La Planada property. Some road building to make movement of the drill easier will be required and may be more cost effective than movement of the rig by helicopter. Nevertheless it is anticipated that some helicopter time will probably be required. A series of small drill pads would have to be prepared on the surface of the deposit. The co-ordinates for the property boundaries are required, and the position of known veins and samples need to be positioned in relation to those boundaries. At this point specific drill pads would be selected and sites would be cleared. Those pads would continue in a line upslope from base to top of the known mineralization. They would be collared at 50 m intervals along that line. As drilling progressed more of that face would have to be cleared of vegetation and leveled and a parallel series of pads would have to be built 50 m on either side of the original line of holes. This work will require some blasting of rock to produce those pads. Vertical reverse circulation holes would be drilled from these pads, with holes ranging up to 200 m in depth (if capable) at highest elevation and 100 m in depth at lowest elevation, for a total depth of this first phase of drilling of roughly 1000 m. Dependent on recovery of material, samples would be taken every 2 to 5 m down each hole. Samples would be analyzed for gold by Fire Assay, with A.A. or gravimetric finish. This work will allow an estimate of grade and tonnage for La Planada Project.

Current Status
Most of the gold is fine. Upon completion of at least an initial round of drilling (Line #1) and assuming favorable results for grade of material, a bench test would be required to determine fineness of the gold, amount of sulphides and what metals are present, and from that what type of processing plant would give the best gold recovery. If there is sufficient coarse gold a coarse gold circuit (e.g. a vibrating table) such as that seen at Solferino would probably be set up. If there is significant gold carried on the surface of sulphides then a sulphide floatation circuit would also be required. However, the bulk of the gold is fine and low grade (1.5 to 4 g/tonne) and is expected to be recovered with a large heap leach pad. Assuming the average grade of 1.5 to 4g/tonne and that sampling to date confirms continuity of mineralization to a depth of 200m, then the entire block could be mined and processed. A block 200m deep X 300m wide X 400 m long, with an average density of 2.45g/cc would produce 59 millions tonnes of ore with a cut-off grade of 1.5g/tonne gold. That translates to over 3,150,000 troy ounces of gold.

Senor Richard Apraez (a local consultant) assures the company that there will be no problem with setting up a large-scale processing plant in the area. That is, it would cause little if any displacement of people or farms. It will disrupt the local economy as there will be a large influx of new jobs to move and process all that ore. As long as the processing plant was properly maintained there was little concern for contamination. This is an important consideration as we would be making use of at least cyanide and sulphuric acid. We need to consider where we might put such a processing plant and are currently seeking a suitable location for that facility.

Opportunity Snapshot:
Gemini Explorations, Inc. is a growing gold mining company focused on the development of two highly prospective gold projects in Colombia including a potential 3.1 million ounce deposit in the Los Andes Sotomayor Gold Belt with a potential asset value of approximately $2 billion at today's gold prices. Capitalizing on smart acquisitions, modern production techniques, deep industry expertise and the strong bull market for gold, Gemini Explorations is working quickly to achieve production, growth and value for shareholders.

Gemini Explorations has assembled a portfolio of significant land holdings in Colombia's richly mineralized but under-developed gold districts including the La Planada and Los Chorros properties. Phase I sampling results from the company's wholly owned La Planada project in southern Colombia's Los Andes Sotomayor Gold Belt have identified three significant cross-cutting gold vein zones which include vein structure gold values up to 17 grams per tonne. Assuming Phase II sampling continues to produce gold grades of 1.5 to 4 grams per tonne and the drill program confirms continuity of mineralization to a depth of 200m, the entire block could be mined and processed. A block 200m deep by 300m wide by 400 m long, with an average density of 2.45g/cc, would produce 59 million tonnes of ore with a cut-off grade of 1.5g/tonne gold. That translates to over 3,150,000 troy ounces of gold.

Gemini Explorations recently completed the acquisition of an 80% majority controlling interest in the Los Chorros property, a producing gold mine in Colombia's El Bagre-Zargoza mining district in the Department of Antioquia. Existing registrations at the Colombian Mining Department show average grades of 15-20 grammes per tonne of gold and bonanza grades of up to 250 grammes per tonne being produced using antiquated artisanal mining techniques. Gemini Explorations intends to build a modern processing facility and employ modernized production methods to maximize production of the gold and other precious metals present.

Key Investment Highlights:
The price of gold is reaching near-record levels, surging to $700 per ounce on September 7, 2007.

Gold, which has risen 5.2% this year, may reach $850 an ounce in the medium term on the way to $1,000, according to analysts at JP Morgan. "We would continue accumulating gold and silver positions looking to higher prices by year-end. A four-figure gold price looks quite feasible to us given the tight supply demand situation in the gold market.'' (Bloomberg, "JP Morgan: Gold May Touch $1000", June 8, 2007).

Gemini Explorations has acquired La Planada, a potential multi-million ounce gold project, and Los Chorros Mine, a producing gold property with the potential to quickly generate cash flow to fund the company's exploration and development activities.

Preliminary sampling at La Planada has yielded highly promising results. If exploration confirms the presence of mineral deposits to depths of 200 meters, the block could contain resources of over 3 million troy ounces of gold.

Assay results from the Phase I channel and chip sampling program and initial topographic survey results continue to confirm the potential bulk-tonnage widths of gold mineralization throughout La Planada.

Phase II channel sampling of La Planada is nearing completion and the company is identifying and preparing drill targets. Gemini Explorations reports that assay results from the 125 Phase II deep channel samples will be back from the labs of Inspectorate America Corporation in Nevada shortly and the drill program will begin after the company participates in Colombia's International Mining Show September 19-21.

Los Chorros is currently being mined and operated with extremely antiquated equipment. The company is confident that the project could be turned into a highly efficient producing gold project with minimal capital costs. Gemini is proposing a plant that would initially run at 30 to 50 tonnes per day with production doubling every 90 days during the first year.

Gemini Explorations received a Speculative Buy Rating with a price target of $4.00 by independent research firm Beacon Equity Research. According to the April 2007 report: "Geologists estimate the Company may have gold deposits of 3.1 million troy ounces which represent a value of approximately $2 billion at today's gold prices. Based on 30 million shares outstanding, that would imply a potential asset value for Gemini of more than $65 per share. Even subtracting out estimated cash operating costs for extracting the gold and discounting the asset value by a very large risk factor, we still derive a discounted per share asset value of potential deposits exceeding $5.00 per share. We are initiating coverage of Gemini Explorations shares with a Speculative Buy rating and a $4.00 price target, based on our assessment of the discounted future value of Gemini's potential gold deposits."

Colombian legislation modeled after the Canadian mining system was introduced in 2001 to clarify ownership and mining rights, while providing additional protection for foreign investors.

Gemini Explorations has contracted the services of Minera Primecap Geological Services SA (MPGS) of Medellin, Colombia to assist in the development and exploitation of Gemini's wholly owned La Planada project. MPGS has worked extensively on La Planada and was instrumental in Gemini's decision to purchase this key property.

Colombia's Rich Potential:
In addition to rich mineralization, Colombia offers a favorable investment climate with legal and financial incentives for mining companies, protection for foreign investment and continued macroeconomic stability. Colombia has maintained a sustained growth rate, stable democracy and secure work environment. The country has seen 50 years of consistent growth and development, including a 6.8% economic growth increase in 2006. (CIA World Fact Book, updated June 2007)

Colombia is among South America's largest recorded gold producers, yielding 125 million ounces. But because there has been minimal investment in the gold mining industry over the past thirty years, the country remains largely unexplored—its vast resources relatively untapped. In 2003 Colombia produced 1.49 million ounces of gold with the majority of mines operated as a craft or artisan industry, capable of producing up to 200 tpd but typically only yielding 5-10.

The country's principal gold producing regions are the Frontino Gold Belt (FGB) and Marmato in the Antioquia and Caldas Departments respectively, South Bolivar and alluvial gold operations at El Bagre in northern Antioquia. Numerous other smaller gold producing areas also exist. Annualized gold production approaches 1.5 million total ounces per year. (Cambridge Mineral Resources, 2007)

Frontino Gold Mines (FGM), located in the Frontino Gold Belt, is the country's principal underground gold producer. Its 2006 production target was 60,000 oz. FGM has been in continual operation for over 150 years and currently produces from three underground mines near the town of Segovia, north east of Medellín, the principal city of Antioquia. Within the FGB numerous additional small mines exist, exploiting veins with similar characteristics to those at FGM.

With prices for both precious and base metals currently in the fourth year of a strong sector bull market, Latin America has become an increasingly popular playing field. The rise in revenues from established metals mining in the Latin America region has been exponential. On the precious metals front, South America's biggest gold operation Yanacocha, owned by Newmont (NEM) (51.5%), Buenaventura (BVN) (43.5%) and the IFC branch of the World Bank (5%) had revenues in 2002 of $540 million. In 2006, revenues had climbed to a whopping $1,561 million even though production volumes had again stayed basically flat.

The opening of a new wave of mines up and down the continent catches the attention. The rise in profits from late 2003 brought with it at that time an exponential increase in cash available for regional exploration and pre-production work. Many projects that were economically non-viable in the late 90s were quickly re-examined and found to be worthy of investment. Prospects left dormant for decades were suddenly snapped up by those companies wishing to boost reserve assets. Geologists started combing for the next big orebody. And today some of the savvier early birds' actions have begun to come to fruition. From the largest of the large to the smaller independent miners, projects and early stage pre-production explorations dating back to the start of the boom are now on the verge of becoming living, breathing real mines, with production, revenue, free cash flow and all the other things that mining executives dream about. (Seeking Alpha, "Latin American Mining: The New Conquistadores", April 13, 2007)

Good geology is seldom enough to attract mining investment. Miners want stable business conditions and a favorable tax regime, aspects Colombia has been steadily improving. A new mining code in 2001 aimed to "bring legal conditions for mining in Colombia in line with world trends ... to obtain better competitiveness as a nation with other Latin American states," according to Beatrice Duque of Colombia's Ministry of Mines and Energy. President Uribe has implemented some of the most competitive taxation conditions in the world and his efforts are already bearing fruit. Colombia jumped seven spots in the World Economic Forum's 2005 Global Competitiveness Report, to 57 of 117 countries, placing it above emerging mining nations such as Russia, Mozambique, Indonesia and Mongolia. (Toronto Globe and Mail, "Colombia Gold Again Luring Miners, 1/3/06)

The first major producer to engage in Colombia is South Africa's AngloGold Ashanti Ltd., which has amassed a "huge land package" in Antioquia and Bolivar departments through subsidiary Sociedad Kedahda, says exploration manager Chris Lodder. Canadian junior Greystar Resources is in the vanguard of Colombia's gold mining renaissance, as it puts the troubles of the past behind it and works toward a feasibility study for its 10-million-ounce Angostura gold property near Bucaramanga, in Santander department, having so far spent $48 million on the project. "It is always good to be in a country that has been overlooked," Mr. Felder says. (Toronto Globe and Mail, "Colombia Gold Again Luring Miners, 1/3/06)

The Los Chorros Mine is currently being mined with extremely antiquated equipment, and Gemini believes that the project could be turned into a highly efficient producing gold project with low capital costs. Current mining operations at Los Chorros recover a low percentage of the available gold and precious metals present on the property. The plant would initially run at 30 to 50 tonnes/day with a targeted production rate of 100 tonnes per day during the first year. Gemini reported on November 5, 2007 that a 100 tonne per day production rate would produce US$1,080,280 monthly and over US$12,900,000 annually. These estimates are based on US$730 per ounce gold with US$200 per ounce operating and production costs netting US$530 per ounce.
