Universal Express Sues Capitalliance Financial Services LLC, Union Commercial LLC and Others for $269 Million for Fraud, False Documents and Misrepresentation

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 2005--

Universal Express Inc.'s (OTCBB: USXP), General Counsel, Chris Gunderson announced that the Company has filed a $269 million lawsuit against Capitalliance Financial Services LLC, Union Commercial LLC, Mel Derutledge and numerous other corporate and individual defendants, for fraud, false documents and misrepresentation, in connection with various schemes against Universal Express, its subsidiaries and others.

"These defendants have engaged in a long term pattern of fraud, false documents and misrepresentation to obtain monies and stock from Universal Express and other businesses through various investment schemes and insurance related scams", stated Mr. Gunderson.

"Universal Express has always been diligent in pursuing malefactors, private or governmental, who damage or attempt to damage our businesses or hard-working American businesses", continued Mr. Gunderson.

"We have been singularly successful in the past in pursuing our remedies. For example, Universal Express was successful in obtaining two separate state jury verdicts in Dade County, Florida against defrauders and 'naked shorters' totaling $389 Million and $137 Million, respectively, including punitive damages", noted Mr. Gunderson.

"These judgments, along with post-judgment interest, now total in excess of $700 Million. Let me assure our stockholders that our collection efforts in this regard are in high-gear and despite the time gone by, we remain more optimistic than ever regarding their collectability", concluded Mr. Gunderson.

Has anybody heard the old addage in football, "never take points off the scoreboard"?  I had an unusual decision to make today.  I chased usxp today to .0005, but gave up and cancelled, as it was running too fast.  Scottrade was down today for internet cancelled trades, and I quickly picked up the phone, as I have seen these crash all too often.  I cancelled my 800k share orderwhen the bid was .0072.  Later in the evening, they called me and told me that my order got filled at .0039, and that it closed at .0044 on the bid. 

I was given the choice to cancel it, since it was not my fault, taking the profit out of my account.  I kept the shares and the profit.  I am seriously questioning that decision.  Any thoughts from the 3sof crew, other than the fact that I am out of my mind for playing with matches?

This part of the board is for members who would like to post their trades and money and stuff.  Like if a person has 3k to start with they post what they bought and what price why etc.

is anyone else playing this position?  i watched it drop last week and wrote it off, but watched it move up this morning...it was moving so fast, it wouldn't let me buy, but finally got in and it was moving so much, i was afraid i got it at the top...sold for a nice profit, but it's still moving.

i owned usxp up til a few days ago and sold, thank goodness.  but, now it has had a huge pull back and may have hit the bottom...anyone else seeing an upward move soon, w/ a potential postive play?

This is a stock that was in the .0004-.0005 only a few weeks ago.  IMO that's exactly where it's heading again.  I would not take the risk to buy and hope for a 2 bagger and risk having a huge loss.
