Hey Rocket8, sorry I couldn't be more detailed but the site was just frustratng today..so I just wanted to make sure I got to post the play quick.

I got back in VCLK because I had been eyeing it since the beginning of the week for earnings but I had played it a bit too early.  It had the right "signals".  I do not want to release all the signals I look for with earnings plays yet.

tommyt helped me make the final decision(thx TT applaud) because he brought up in the chat room that TFSM had great earnings and was in the same line of work 

Now to calculate my calculations

well.... 40 cents for the year EPS
times 40 multiple = $16.00 a share for VCLK.
(its a high forward multiple but probably doable)

i have watched a few of your picks lately.  namely PKD, GLBL and those you mentioned but did not officially "pick" MWY and CDE.

i was bothered by one thing.  many of these stocks were about to go thru an earnings announcement as VCLK did yesterday.  i was burned twice on earnings announcements and so i have been afraid of them.  (i was up 40% on one stock and after earnings was gapped down to -5%).

the reason i picked PETS was because PETS had great results and did not go up and then 2 days later up it went.  it was like a delayed reaction with time for me to get in.  thus I have been looking for more stocks that have good results with a delayed rising.

are you saying in your last post that you can predict whether an earnings announcement will be postive based on TA ?

lastly, if VCLK did good and AQNT did good ---- is MIVA next?

and then I played PKD as well... to me this one has so much potential I did not sell it which is not how I play the earnings plays.  They are supposed to be sold the next day.  So as far as the earnings plays calculations go I have decided to use the close of day.  So even though I am still holding it..as far as the earnings plays goes this one is done.

= +3.69%

I am trying to use many factors to predict post earnings movement...(the girls love that line, lol) of course I cannot predict earnings but from TA and some other stuff I am trying to predict the reaction come earnings day.  This is extremely risky but can be very rewarding. 

Using this aggressive method I have made 13.45% in 7 trading days... and I think I can do much better 

My research has led me the G-pattern and now I'm trying to figure this one out(hmm the E-pattern?)    Looking forward to testing my other research.

(and this time make it simpler to understand.  i still can't get pattern G). lol.

i figured out how to make a stock go UP.... i sell my shares.
i also figured out how to make it go DOWN... i buy some.

I'm working on some things for the g-pattern and I think it will be much easier to recognize afterwards

Hey Rocket, this "delayed rising" after great earnings is a truly excellent idea to study(applaud).    I have noticed this pattern and I think we definately need to be on the lookout for it. 

So I figure we are looking for <earnings that beat or raised guidance> that did not have the  "proper" price action associated with it.  Hmmmmm

You may want to start a thread about this somewhere.  I'll join in on the TA if you find the stocks

I am showing that % for research purposes.  I have played those plays with real money(more than $1000)    ..so I am very pleased   

This thread has just become a place where I just test some research I have been working on.  For example on pg 3 starts the G-pattern  .  Right now I am trying to predict positive earnings reaction(price movement)... I may also start negative earnings reaction as well.
