Got some more at .035. Now "all we can do is sit and wait...".

Elite,

What do you say for GLIF behavior today and short term prediction ( 2 - 3 days)?

One question for this one again... Hasn't GLIF also followed the same pattern as GNBT closing next day?  :-\

Here we bought the share after news, there we bought it before news. Here we are thinking of 2 bagger and there we were looking for 20% - 30% gain only.

eliteg,

what's your assessment on stocks like gnbt, heb, and nvax based on the avain flu news? Bought back heb today and just noticed that gnbt came back up since my sell last week.

They look good.. all of them.  The leader looks like NVAX.

G, how would you play these guys that had big moves up today?  Looking at the charts for AVII and HEB, they both tend to gap up after a day like today and follow that with a considerable pullback.  Would you try to play that and sell into the gap tomorrow?  Or do think these are worth staying in considering the bird flu hype?  On my own evaluation, I would say sell into the gap tomorrow and buy again after the pullback but I thought the same thing with NVAX yesterday and have watched it go up about 40% without me. :(

Bought a little more GLIF today at .034. 8)

Thanks, G.  You da man!!!

CORRECTING and REPLACING Quest Reopens Slater Branch Pond Creek Seam
Tuesday October 25, 4:34 pm ET

BELFRY, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2005--In BW5489 issued Oct. 25, 2005: Reissuing release to correct ticker symbol for searching purposes.

QUEST REOPENS SLATER BRANCH POND CREEK SEAM

Quest Minerals and Mining Corp (OCTBB:QMMG) is reopening its Pond Creek mine at Slater's Branch, KY. With Shelbi Coal Company as its contractor.

CEO William Wheeler states, "Because of a ruling in Boyd County Circuit Court we have been allowed to reopen and commence mining with Shelbi Coal. Prior to full production we have some lease renegotiation to be completed. Shelbi's target is 40,000 tons per month when full production is reached. They have also agreed to reopen the Lower Cedar Grove Seam at the same level of production of 40,000 tons per month."

Quest is also currently investigating a lease on a preparation plant within 12 miles of the mine which would increase the margins for both parties. The Pond Creek seam when mined cleaned or washed is a premium product of over 12,500 BTU's and less than .6% sulfur.

William Spears, CEO of JJ Resources and the joint venture partner with Quest in a 6,000,000 ton project in Knott County is in charge of the reopening project.

I feel that GLIF is pre-breakout right here.  pre-big move thats how I feel from the chart.  No matter how I feel I will discard it if it closes too weakly.  I think we will see a move before the week is out.  :)

Thats an awesome buy point on GLIF I was thinking about it but decided I needed to keep this normal sized.

The bird flu plays.. they seem to be kinda counter-market..  except NVAX which just goes up, like you said.  I really hope that this bird flu doesn't become a crazy epidemic.  I haven't read into it much but I wonder if any of these companies has something that will be able to be used quickly..

Now if you do wanna play these stocks you can look at it in a few ways.  Go with the strongest gainers(NVAX, BCRX).. the least gainers, the least overbought, the ones all the medical guys are buyin, or a dartboard selection by a chimpanzee at a local zoo  :D

I dont like playing a stock where everybody is in ahead of me.. so I'm not really looking at them.  There will be other plays.  Hope that helps.

thanks but I want to make it clear that I sold out of QMMG.  I decided that it felt too heavy.. wasn't moving like a momentum stock should.  Of course I can be wrong(sometimes a lot).  I hope those that bought see many $ bags.

Elite,
even though we all want to see GLIF taking off and to make tons of $$$ I'd like to know what signals would you percieve as exit signs?
Breaking .30 support, slow sideways trading or something else?
"If it closes too weakly" referrs to end of week or any of the upcoming days?

hmm for me lately I've been using the tape(lvl2 trades) to figure out weakness.  No technicality to that.. just something you feel but I'd say that if we have another down day I would want it in hammer form, because an important issue to me is timing.  I want to see the stock supported immediately on dips from this stage on.

So no hammer on downward action and that is too weak to fit into my timing of this week.  That is my rule.. and of course I have sold out of stocks that zip up the next second, so first isolate what is your timeframe.  Factor in your patience/tolerance and what has worked for you.

That is exact as I can get.  Since I posted my buy prices, I will of course post when I sell.  I hope that post look something like this.  Sold half of GLIF @ .12  ;) >:D

I think I like the chimpanzee option the most. ;)  After posting my question to you above, I started thinking about it more.  Too many times, my profits either shrink considerably or go away completely leaving me a bag holder.  I need to take a profit when I have one, relying more on the chart to help me make the decision.  With that said, I sold both AVII and HEB after hours for a 20% and 46% gain respectively.  If they follow recent patterns, both should pull back somewhat at which time I will consider getting back in.  I agree that most of these companies probably won't have the solution to the bird flu so I better do some taking while the taking is good!  >:D  I'm in SVA and VICL and will do some taking on those when they have something to give (although I may keep some SVA for a rainy day).

A couple of questions for you elite (if you don't mind answering):

What's now your average price for GLIF?
Since you were so optimistic about GLIF I wonder what percentage of your trading money did you put in a trade like this?
You mentioned that you use margin to daytrade - I assume you use margin only for quick trades and "real" money for multi-day trades.
Also, do you have max. loss you take (i.e. 10% under your buying price) or you exit depending on a trade?
I'm just trying to get a feeling of your strategy.

~20%  ;)

i dont get margin on anything under $5 and I end up exitting usually based on timing rather than %(depends on play).

Thing is, everyone has to find their own style.  I've decided that tomorrow I am going to be looking for a great intraday penny play and bring home the bacon.  So thats what I'm gonna be focused on.  8)

akclide

Hey G man,
You said you would like to bring home the bacon with an intraday play tommprrow.
Would you be posting your play on your board so even though we may not get the real bacon but at least the taste of some turkey bacon.
