-  Norbert also said they qualify for the AMEX.  He would not say whether or not they are going from BB to AMEX now, but he said it was the goal.

AMEX requires a bid price of $3, or pretax annual income of $50m.

Prospect of a reverse split in the 10:1 range doesn't make me very happy.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

I thought there was a $1 or $3 minimum as well... but check this out...

http://www.amex.com/equities/howToLst/Eq_HTL_ListStandards.html

Under both the standards for foreign companies and US companies, standard #3 is:

Shareholders' equity  $4 million
Total market capitalization $50 million
Distribution1  800 public shareholders and 500,000 shares publicly held
OR
400 public shareholders and 1 million shares publicly held
OR
400 public shareholders, 500,000 shares publicly held, and average daily trading volume of 2,000 shares for previous 6 months
Market value public float  $15 million

There is no mention of price in this requirement... interesting.  Either way, I am enjoying the recent action on HQSM :)

Thanks much! You saved me from pulling a trigger, was very tempted to take half my profits.

No press release yet, but here's part of the financial discussion for the Q:

Results of  Operations - Three Months  Ended  September  30, 2005 as Compared to
Three Months Ended September 30, 2004

One of our  subsidiaries,  Jiahua Marine (which was acquired in August 2004) was
engaged in manufacturing and selling of health and bio-product. During the three
months ended  September 30, 2005 and 2004,  Jiahua Marine  contributed  sales of
$2,593,384 and $1,187,648 to the Group respectively.  The gross profit ratio for
this  segment  was  about  85% for  both  periods  and  the  major  expense  was
advertising,  corresponding to about 33% and 46% of revenue for the three months
ended September 30, 2005 and 2004  respectively.  The net income  contributed by
this segment was $947,164 and $499,429 for the three months ended  September 30,
2005 and 2004 respectively.

The other principal  activity of the Group was the  manufacturing and selling of
aquatic  products.  The revenue  contributed  by this segment was $5,919,597 and
$6,477,639 for the three months ended September 30, 2005 and 2004, respectively.
The gross  profit  ratio of this segment was at 21% and 28% for the three months
ended  September  30,  2005 and 2004,  respectively.  This  segment  contributed
$781,805 and  $3,516,708 to net income for the three months ended  September 30,
2005 and 2004, respectively;  in 2004, there was a non-recurring recovery of bad
debt which affected results materially.

For the three months ended  September 30, 2005 revenue  increased by $847,694 or
11% to $8,512,981.  This compares to $7,665,287 for the corresponding  period of
prior year.  The increase  resulted from improved  performance by the health and
bio-product  segment in 2005; the sales in the aquatic product segment decreased
by $0.6 million  compared to the third quarter of 2004 but it was covered by the
increase in sales of health and bio-product at $1.4 million. In third quarter of
2004,  the  production in the  aquaculture  product  segment  resumed from major
renovations of our factory during the first half of 2004, as customers  required
more products after the long renovations  period of 2004. . The 2005 increase of
revenue from the health and bio-product  segment was due to the fact that in the
current  quarter,  sales  included  three months of operating  results of Jiahua
Marine,  compared to one and a half month of operating results in 2004 as Jiahua
Marine was acquired in August 17, 2004.

Cost of sales increased by $490,440 or 11% to $5,065,821 from $4,575,381 for the
three months ended September 30, 2005, as compared to the  corresponding  period
of the prior year.  Approximately  78% of the increase was due to the  increased
activities in the health and bio-product  segment as that segment operated since
the  acquisition  of Jiahua Marine from August 2004.  The overall  percentage of
increase  in cost of sale is almost the same as that of  revenue,  supporting  a
stable gross profit ratio in our company.

The CEO is a straight shooter.  He has been very receptive to the calls.  Glad that it worked out.   ;)
Just one opinion, do the research

Great day for HQSM's price action  ;D. Todays candle broke out of an ascending triangle on above average volume. The prior resistence at .53 should now act as support. Also it appears that a new shorter/steeper trend has developed pulling away from the longer term trend.

David,

I would really like hear what you think of the latest earnings reportand the other recent activity concerning HQSM. They look like they are on track for big things ahead. Would you add more at this level? and has your target changed as a result of recent developments?

Thanks

fous

Well looks there was a big sell off on the release of the earnings. There was a downside breakout of the shorter/steeper trend but todays price action has little effect on the overall longer term bullish trend that HQSM is in.

I hope you're right that today's action has no effect on the bullish trend, but won't we really have to see the action over the next few days to confirm that?

You might find that the secondary trend line looks a bit different than the way you have it drawn. Mr fousc, try connecting a new secondary line that begins from the 0.33 circle on your chart - you will find that the secondary trend line begins there and connects the obvious support levels to form a LESS steep secondary line than the one you have drawn BUT one where todays action bounces right off of it. Sorry that I dont know how to draw the chart with pencil marks or I woudl do it for you. So with the volume breakout and the support holding that sounds pretty good to me. Thats wahy I bought moer at 0.47 today.

Do you follow my logic - I hope you can see what I mean?

Gotcha defender thanks for the input, I always welcome constructive criticism  :D. 4 eyes are always better than 2  :o  :o (applauds).
Guess we'll see tomorrow if this is in fact a secondary trend?

good luck

Hi fousc:

Well it seems to be holding that 0.45-0.46; I guess the support is a little lower (42 ??)
I am holding unless it breaks below that level I guess
Thanks for the redo of the chart with the other support line in there

Good luck to you too

Your welcome defender :D

Looks like that secondary trend line didn't hold though unfortunately. The main trend line stands at .439 tomorrow. Hopefully we just see a bounce of this area and not a breach of it.
