[We made a "higher high" this morning, above yesterday's candle, so if we now go down and take out those 3.62 - 3.63 lows, I'll take the 5% hit.  I won't like that.

When SIGA went down to 3.63 this morning, if any of you had asked me what I thought would happen, my response would have been, "You're about to see me take a 5% hit on this trade."

You see why I never try to predict anything!  :D

It would be nice if we could rally back to the high 3.70s/3.80s at the close.

We didn't get that close, so I really should have abandoned this trade when that didn't occur, rather than sit and "hope" to get saved by the market.  That usually doesn't happen.

But, this trade might turn out alright.  A printed a new high on the day of 3.78  right near the close, so SIGA might want to do something on the upside next week.

In the short-term hourly chart, we now have the chance of a little "W"-bottom breakout with a print next week of 3.84, that would put 4.03 IN PLAY.

Math:

3.83 - Middle, or "pivot" of the "W"

3.63 - Lows (I use the more conservative of the 3.62 - 3.63)

3.83 - 3.63 - 0.20 + 3.83 = Target 4.03.

4.38 still is IN PLAY from last Friday's Symmetrical Triangle "Gap To Crap" breakout, so we've got a chance at seeing the 4.00s again.

Good luck to us next week!  ;)

Bought SIGA at 3.78.  Stop: 3.59.  Risk: a loss of 5%.

Sold SIGA at 3.65.  Loss: 3.4%

This has been a "coulda...shoulda...woulda."

I "shoulda" sold this the day that I "paid up" for it, when it didn't do anything.

I "shoulda" sold it a couple of times after that,  at a break even, when I had the chance.

The 3.62 - 3.64 lows just broke, so I sold on a little bounce here.  It "could" work out okay, but it also "could" go down and fill that gap at 3.41.  :P

I took the hit.

SIGA currently is BID 3.64...ASK 3.65.

New CEO appointed.

There was also a brief news on the wire about initial human safety data (which I thought were completed last year). I don't know whether that was a mistake or what.

I called the company. Yes, the last paragraph was a mistake on the wire. The CFO seemed really upbeat about the hiring of the new CEO! Eric Rose was the heart surgeon for Bill Clinton two years ago. He is apparently very well connected and is capable of bringing in the big dough for the company using his influence. He has taken a two year leave of absence from Columbia to take this post. The CFO joked about how after two years, the company will be doing so well that they should be gobbled up by a bigger firm and Dr. Rose will not be needed anymore.

Bullish engulfing candlestick posted today. We really need a few up days to consolidate the PPS at a higher base before the next news event. I really don't think it is good for the stock to keep drifting downward.

Nice run today! Let's see whether we can hold these gains this time. This is one of those stocks is due for an extended uptrend instead of monster moves followed by pullbacks. It'd be nice for a change to see green for a few days in a row.

Nice setup for next week. It would have been nicer if it had closed over 4. But, considering the steady downward drip that has been seen over the last few months, a few white candlesticks in a row are an extremely good sign!

SIGA's chart is getting interesting again... time to make some moolah again! ;D :D

Volume only comes out big time when news come out, next thing you know it's already up 100 percent and traders starts selling their shares. ;)

Actually, the volume was even greater today than Oct. 17 & Dec. 19 from last year, before the day the news came out.

Based on the current chart, a positive news about their Smallpox Drug (SIGA-246) this thing will rocket again.. IMHO ;) :D

Have a great weekend.

SIGA caught my attention today.
I'm not sure if we're allowed to post the suspected AX here at 3SOF.
Just waiting for planets to align and to see a block trade to support the stock. If this thing goes, shorts could be in hot water.
What I'm counting on in here is:
1) The strength of the trend
2) Shorts buying to cover
3) Buying from regular investors and
4) Institutional buying interest to come in.
but there's still no guarantee and it's good to have a stop loss.

Volume doesn't look that great yet but is higher than the previous day's.
May pick up at the shakeout.
StockScores currently at 98/85.(Another school that could be looking at this)
Go in with upside momentum or wait for stock to tank and buy close to support.

Still waiting for a  green block. May pass up on this if there's none.
I'd like to see that 4.60 resistance broken by blocks of green.
It looks like this stock is moving in 25 cent increments.
Target: 4.85
Resistance: 4.60
Support: 4.35
Support: 4.10
Go in with upside momentum or wait for stock to tank and buy close to support.
