Wow, what a day!

Just look at the intraday activity with volume!  Wild ride!   ;)

I guess we all know now as to what "would"  happened to GNBT on Monday after much discussion this past weekend:

1.  Gapped up on open
2.  Early market sell off
3.  Sharp gain
4.  Two episodes of profit taking sessions
5.  Still closed up $0.16 (7.21%) and broke through the resistance intraday, and continued up in after hour trading $0.07 (2.94%).
6.  All this while  trading 38 million shares of volume, which is waaaaaaaaay more than the 3 month average of 4.3 million shares!!!  = WOW =

New resistance is $2.94 with support at $2.00.

So, the next question is what's next?

Like I said this past weekend, GNBT is not trendable and we must use daily volume and price activity as our primary indicator.

This is my take:

1.  Many took profit today as recent gains were very large.
2.  Even with profit taking, 38 millions shares were BOUGHT by new buyers at mostly $2.40 - $2.50 range with plenty holding from $2+ range (from 19 mil shares Friday).  These new buyers will look towards $3 - $5+ as their sell targets.
3.  Previous support of $1.69 was never tested today.
4.  Increasing buy request interest at Lycos I-watch for Inst/Managers.

For tomorrow, these options exist:

1.  If you took profit, you can buy back.
2.  If you are holding, you can continue holding.
3.  If you are looking to buy, you can buy at any time.
4.  If you are holding but are uncomfortable about tomorrow, you can sell.

Just watch the volume and price activity.

Now to NVAX and GNTA.

Nice gains for NVAX.  And as anticipated by the swing trading template, GNTA continuing to rebound.

FYI, take a look at the sell requests on Lycos I-watch by Inst/Managers.  I would take this into consideration.

LiveLife

Thank you and welcome shipman,

Actually, your weekend question of GNBT retracing may have happened today mixed in with the 38 million shares traded.

There were two definite profit taking sessions.

What we need to keep in mind is that for every share that was bought, someone SOLD.

We used the term "profit taking" loosely to describe the saw-tooth like fluctuations of stock prices.

I recommend we continue using the daily volume/price activity as the primary indicator for GNBT until it becomes more trendable.

Generex meeting with Canada on Wednesday, March 1st.

Company Will Seek to File a New Drug Submission in Order to Market and Distribute Generex Oral-lyn in Canada

http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/060119/0106769.html

TORONTO--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 19, 2006 -- Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NasdaqSC:GNBT - News), a leader in the area of buccal drug delivery, announced today that it has received notification of the scheduling of a Pre-NDS meeting for the Company with the Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate of Health Canada on March 1, 2006. The topic of the meeting will be Generex Oral-lyn, the Company's proprietary buccal (oral) insulin spray product (no lung deposition). The Company believes this is the first non-injectable insulin to be the subject of a Pre-NDS meeting.

The purpose of the Pre-NDS meeting will be to discuss the presentation of Generex Oral-lyn data in support of a New Drug Submission (NDS). An NDS is an application submitted to Health Canada in order to market and distribute a drug product in Canada. Such applications are generally filed after clinical trials have been completed and all data has been collected and analyzed. This process is similar to a Pre-NDA (New Drug Application) meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

REALDEALS21

Hey, Livelife, are you holding any GNBT shares, if so, @ what prices ?

LiveLife

REALDEALS21, yes.

My initial buy-in of GNBT was $1.15, and I have been trading GNBT according to the swing trading template until of last Friday when GNBT became untrendable.  I am using daily volume and price activity until GNBT becomes more trendable.

REALDEALS21

You think it will go to its 52 week high this week ?? You sold any from the initial 1.15 price you paid ??

lana2b

Hi LL

What do you think about SGLS. I know it doesn't fit ST Template to buy, but in general ?
I don't know  why I feel like to get in.

And what  about GNBT with all these good and bad news. I'm in yesterday at 2.39, little late

Thanks

REALDEALS21, yes I sold several times according to the swing trading template and bought back on rebound.  I will continue to do the sell-peak/buy-dip until MACD falls to negative territory.  Nice rebound off support around $2, good buy back point.   ;)

Today was a combination of the general market drop with Generex exercising their warrants, but this now gives Generex a very strong cash position.  I anticipate that Generex recovers from the drop due to warrants.  23 million shares traded, heavy volume.

Generex Biotechnology Receives $11 Million From Warrant Exercises

Company Now Has in Excess of $31 Million in Cash-on-Hand

TORONTO--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 28, 2006 -- Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NasdaqSC:GNBT - News) announced today that it has received an aggregate of $11 million as a result of the exercise by existing Company investors of previously issued warrants. The receipt of these funds has put the Company's cash-on-hand at more than $31 million, its strongest cash position in more than four years.

lana2b,

SGLS is rebounding off RSI 50, but it's already at RSI 70.  It looks to continue short-term, but look for profit taking soon.  As to buying GNBT at $2.39, if you are still holding shares, I would wait to see what recovery GNBT does after the warrants were excercised.  After today's drop to $2, GNBT made a nice recovery in the afternoon.  I still believe that GNBT will steadily climb to $5+, but let's watch the daily volume and price activity.
