As to GNBT, MACD has peaked and falling.  I still recommend taking GNBT on a day-to-day basis since RSI is above 70.

I normally stay away from low volume stocks, but I did some checking today and take a look at these two low volume stocks (one listed and other penny).

I am wondering if I should monitor for such low volume stocks that recently experienced 1000%+ gain.

I did taxes this weekend.

= Those new to stock trading and doing taxes, this is important! =

= Following information is for individual USA trader who is required to do IRS tax filing (this is not legal tax advise.  Consult your own accountants for tax issues.) =

Stocking trading gain/loss information must be reported to the Internal Revenue Service on 1040 Schedule D (D-1):  http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/lists/0,,id=97817,00.html

1.  Stocks traded need to be grouped by the same stock symbol (I alphabetize A-Z).
2.  Trades must be separated into short-term (held less than 1 year) and long-term (held more than 1 year).
3.  On 1040 Schedule D, list the total number of shares and stock symbol traded, dates bought and sold (if multiple trades on same stock, put "various" for both), Sales price (Sell price), Cost price (Buy price), and Gain or Loss.
4.  If you need more space, use 1040 Schedule D-1.
5.  Capital gains tax must be paid on the gain and stock trading loss can be deducted, but there's a limit to how much you can deduct per year and you may have to spread the deduction over several years (refer to tax instructions).

I use Scottrade for stock trading, and Scottrade has a nice software called "GainsKeeper" (Home > My Account > GainsKeeper > Export Data) that allows you to export your trade activities to TurboTax/TaxCut software, Excel Spreadsheet format, or text file format.

Don't put off doing this because it does take some time if you are not using TurboTax/TaxCut software - I had thousands of transactions that had to be grouped and tallied.

FYI.  ;)

rv,

Past history is indicative of future behavior.

They (Circuit City) extended the program on the 5th of January, taking it out to March 15th.  The verbage can be taken many ways.  But they did extend it exactly 10 days ahead the last time.  That would have been March 5th this time.  This would have been last Friday or today in my view.

Sure, they can probably cancel at any time.  But why ?  It is a Cash Cow for CC.  And why did they not just extend it more than 2 months the last time ?

And then explain the new Circuit City locations in Florida beginning the program last week.  Why do much more than the stated number of Pilot stores in the filing if it was not a go ?  And why new Circuit City stores added as of last Friday ?  They would be taking the displays down, not adding new locations.  The Sunday Circular and online advertising also remains.

My opinion is that CC wanted the 10K early by GZFX showing company cash.  CC wanted to see the DVDAvenue acquisition take place for more titles and another Distribution Center.  And CC and GZFX wanted the new website (which I confirmed with Chip to be coming this quarter).  It is important for CC to know that GZFX can handle the traffic.

Only a PR will tell the story.  But I certainly like it more and more now that the 5th has come and gone.  Many people remember the extension and are waiting to buy until concrete news.

The play for me is the immediate appreciation on the news.  All of the people chasing the Price will make for an outstanding return, imo.

It is unbelievable how well the price has held on absolutely no news.  Any news and we take off, imho.  So many traders are waiting to pull the trigger on GZFX upon CC confirmation.

It is the perfect time to be long, imho, ahead of the news.  This is how the pennies work.

Moving up over 50% the past few trading days on no news is powerful.
Imagine the immediate appreciation when something crosses the wire.

We will certainly see soon enough.

I remain 100 % invested in GZFX for the news.  Do what makes you comfortable.  But to answer your question, I would not worry about a cancellation based on the Florida events and the amount of straight Profit to Circuit City.
Just one opinion, do the research

fill_the_gap, I agree.  The Florida store being added only affirms that Circuit City cancelling the deal with GameZnFlix an unlikely event.  If Circuit City was intending to cancel the deal, they would be scaling down the GameZnFlix display and reducing store locations, not expanding store locations and resuming print/online/store advertisements.

If you look at the intraday chart below, the early morning drop was followed by a strong recovery up to $0.0115, surpassing the opening pop of $0.0112.  I attribute the afternoon drop to daytraders closing out trades followed by general market sentiment (look at the Dow/Nasdaq intraday chart and see the drops in the afternoon).

What's significant today is that GZFX remained positive all day without going below the opening price of $0.0102!  106 million shares traded in volume is healthy compared to the 3 month average of 35 million shares.

Of course, there are many that are holding their breath to see what will happen "this time around" but as fill_the_gap and many other posters on other MBs have pointed out, situation is different and GameZnFlix as a company is in much stronger position than before.  The 50% rebounding gain with 424+ million shares traded last Thursday is very significant for me indicating that there is tremendous interest that will jump in once rebound indicators remain positive.

Today's gain will continue to improve the rebound indicators and ease the "nervousness or uncertainty" of GZFX.  Since last year, GameZnFlix as a company has been working to improve market position and new pipelines such as on-demand download service.  As fill_the_gap posted, we should consider "all" aspects of the company operations such as the deal with AAFES.  As GameZnFlix market position grows stronger (their next PR should include subscription number increase), Circuit City deal may become gravy, and not the "only" deal for GameZnFlix.

RHEO is continuing to rebound with $0.22 (5.19%) gain and 1.5 mil shares traded which is more than the 3 month average of 1.2 mil shares.

StockCharts.com seems to be having problems with their charts, and only showing March 3 chart data.  Pulled wrong info for GZFX also, showing $0.0019 drop when GZFX gained $0.0004.

I will be out of town for the next two days and I won't be able to post until late Wednesday night.

See you then.  :D

fill_the_gap, nice eye for catching the "Pilot" to "National Rollout" on the 8-K.  This should firm up a lot.  ;)

"Something interesting to consider from the 8-K.

Note the change in language from " Pilot " to " National Rollout ".
This may give more of a decision for the Agreement this time around.

... On December 28, 2005, the parties entered into an amendment to the Services Agreement (see Exhibit 10.2). Under this amendment, the parties agreed to extend the pilot program until March 15, 2006. Thereafter, if the parties mutually agree that a national rollout of this program is mutually beneficial, they will enter into a definitive agreement for such national rollout."

GameZnFlix website Q&A page has an update about Circuit City trial (to be "national rollout" soon  ;)): http://www.gameznflix.com/support/issue_view.asp?ID=26378&CATE=2

"Everything with circuit city is going fine and we couldn't be happier. If you have any other questions that need answered all answered will appear on our web site. If an answer cannot be found it has not been released to the public and as soon as any information is known we will release a press release. Thank you.

Hi LL,

Love the thread.  Keep up the fantastic work.

What do you think about GNTA's action lately?

LiveLife

#566
I just drove back into town.

Calstar, thanks for the comments.

GNTA is one of stocks I monitor and have on my "lined up" list.  If you look at the template, the 5 day MA hasn't rebounded yet and not all the buy indicators are in place, such as volume increase and MACD rebounding.

To be certain that the rebound is real and sustained, I would recommend that we wait for 5 day MA and MACD to bottom and rebound.

More and more, I am begining to realize that buying at MACD rebound point (negative territory) and selling at MACD peak (positive territory) with corresponding RSI and volume increase are the best "entry and exit" points.  So, if GNTA continues to rebound and shows MACD, RSI and volume increase, then it would be a good buy point.

Ok, onto GZFX "speculation"  ;)

I was gone last two days and I see that we have two days of "uncertain" sell.  March 15th is only 4 trading days away, and I am still willing to wait for the Circuit City announcement of rolling out GameZnFlix nationwide.

I will hold on a day-to-day basis.

RHEO continues to gain.  I am tired from 10 hours of driving, so I will keep this short.

One more before bedtime (I am heading in early tonight).  Good night all and see you in the morning.

Will GNBT rebound or will MACD turn negative?
