Stole this post from Yahoo board, only because it exactly what I was thinking.

LWSN is outperforming the averages since the Relative Strength is VERY demanding right now. We are right near the Bearish Resistance Line and once we cross over it soon LOOK ABOVE to higher and higher prices after so much consolidation over the last couple of years.

We most recently had a Double Top at 7.500 on 10/17/2005 and it's not stopping there since the monthly and weekly momentums are positive.

Here's the three year chart.

The St. Paul-based company will use its current and future cash to fund the share repurchase.

The buyback will take place through open-market purchases, privately negotiated transactions and other deals. The number of shares boughy back and the exact timing will depend on market conditions.

Shares Of Lawson Hit Three-Year High.......

Investors were giddy on Wednesday about Lawson Software, after the company raised its fourth-quarter guidance. Some stock-watchers argue that the investor-pleasing performance reflects investments management implemented in Lawson's sales force and product line over the last year.

Part of what explains the rosy forecast is the unexpectedly large volumes that the company sold of its Lawson Systems Foundation product, a platform for business software. Customers bought up the product in big numbers before a price increase went into effect June 1.

Lawson (nasdaq: LWSN - news - people ) was able to lift its fourth-quarter guidance, thanks in part to those strong sales. The company is now reporting preliminary software license revenues for the fourth-quarter to be in the range of $37 million to $40 million. Sales, the company said, should come in between $201 million and $208 million for the quarter ended May 31. Previously, the company had forecasted revenues between $187 million and $195 million. The Street had expected $193.5 million.

The company also said that it now expects earnings up to 2 cents higher than its previous guidance of earnings that hovered between a loss of 2 cents-per-share and a profit of 3 cents. Analysts had looked for a profit of 4 cents-per-share.

Traders welcomed the news. Shares in afternoon trading surged 6.6%, or 61 cents, to $9.94.

Zaineb Bokhari, an analyst at Standard & Poor's, says the preliminary revenue forecasts exceeded his $193 million estimate. He raised his fiscal year 2007 EPS estimate by 2 cents to 15 cents, fiscal year 2008's by 3 cents to 33 cents, and boosted his 12-month target price by $2 to $12.

Bokhari maintains a "buy" recommendation on the shares.

Peter Goldmacher, analyst at Cowen & Co., told his clients that the company's investments are now bearing fruit. Specifically, Goldmacher wrote that management at the company focused on investing in Lawson's sales force and refreshing its product lines in 2007.

"The benefits of these investments are apparent in better than guided 4Q results, and we expect the momentum to continue throughout fiscal year 2008," Goldmacher said.

He believes that double digit license growth will yield strong earnings growth, further accelerated in fiscal year 2008 by cost savings from improved internal processes and continued off shoring that are currently being instituted by management.

Goldmacher rates the company "outperform."
