IHR hit the Oct 04 $6.75 top and fell back from there. If it opens at or above today's close I am going to short it at the open. The resistance at 6.75 plus being extended so far above the moving averages plus just completing 3 White Soldiers (sort of, the last two soldiers had bad posture) plus RSI and MACD looking toppy short-term, and I think it's a screaming short.

I am sure you know what you're doing but, a relative greenhorn, I'd be scared.

Recently, there were similar candle formations on 4/3/06 and 5/10/06, that second time with even higher MACD and RSI than yesterday. Both times, the price did indeed fall back a little, only to surpass the previous high again a few days later. Having shorted on 4/4, would I have known to cover before the close on 4/7, before the stock gapped up the day after? Shorting on 5/11, would I have known to cover at the latest at the open on 5/19?

That chart is kind of BIG, here is the little one ;)

I agee. Best buying is at aound $4.00.

My portfolio always buys beaten down stocks. When no one wants to touch it, it is time to buy. Check my portfolio performance during 5 year span at www.whitePineInvest.com. It grows almost into $900,000 in five years.

By the way, this is the first time I post message in almost two months.

Terliso - looking back at a chart you can always say there is a better buying point ;)  hindsight is 20/20.  With the responsibility for a large portfolio that is followed by our members our positions must happen when there is enough volume to sustain us.

G,

That is ok....If the stock Really wants to go up then eventually the volume will follow soon ;)

I agree.... Because when amateurs are being bearish of a stock the professionals are actually bullish & vice versa.... ;)

Hi Shawfund, I've always enjoyed your posts.  Good to see you are still around.

Any idea why the 10% gap down other than general market weakness? I will continue to hold short and expect a retest of today's lows in the next few weeks.
GO IN THAT HOUSE OF PAIN THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BE IN, BUT GET AWAY FROM ME.  I'M TRYING TO WORK, DAMMIT.

This position is definately stopped out.. according to plan realcool.  The portfolio page was not updated yet.  We are in the process of making some major upgrades to the site.. one of the upgrades will be quicker portfolio page updates  ;)

As there was no news for the gap down I would have to go with pure manipulation as the stock retraced nearly the whole move.  Luckily we were slow on placing stops this morning and managed a better sell then our stop.  ;)  Still dissapointing...

Hi G,

Now it is bearish market, why not shorting some stocks instead of long?  thanks!

Good be just me but I'm not completely sure why IHR is not interesting anymore. It touched the TL and bounced. I'm not out. My stop was at $ 5,88 and will be at $ 5,91 today rising 0,03 every day.

it is not my long-term chart that is incorrect.  It is either yahoo or stockcharts.com and neither one makes much difference as to how we will play.

I Appreciated the quick reply...
It's important to know which is one correct, because in the case of IHR if it bulls penetrated the (All-time high??) @ 6.75 then that would be good because we now know that all overhead resistance has been taken out ;)

Thanks.. ;)

Hits all-time high.... broke the resistance ;)
