WOW : what a hit the market took yesterday. Today will be interesting.

Even though it was a Big downfall with most stocks yesterday some stocks still showed really good volume going up and stayed for the day. Here is two stocks to put on you're radar for today that wasn't effected by yesterdays downfall.

GAP : Great Atantic & Pac Tea
VSGN : Vasogen Inc.

I want to share something stupid I did today. I bought PANC on margin and did it right when market was about to close and after I did I received a margin requirement. Didn't realize I was buying to many so after hours I got ride of 300 shares to cover the margin requirement . First I sold 200 shares and it still didn't cover it so I had to sell 100 more and that did it but I'm out $14.00 for that mistake. I'll be more careful next time ,,hopefully I'll get it back.
Goodluck trading to all

Hi Quasi
After I posted this message yesterday I was thinking about what happened and how I screwed up so it doesn't happen again. While I was thinking about it I reallized the commission was the amount I posted that I lost but it was more I didn't figure buy and sell prices. Here is correct amount I lost from a stupid mistake over about one hour period. Another thing I hated is it gave a false signal for after hours of which way the stock might head.
Buy price was 4.30 and I'll only figure sell commission since I'm still holding
Sold 300 @ 4.15
Sold 100 @4.15
commission 14.00 for two trades Total loss from mistake
$59.00 which isn't to bad.
Goodluck trading

Hi Wrangler,

I'm just wondering if you're long on this stock.
If you are, I assume you must be watching that 5.50 resistance area and the 200ma that is at 6.63.
I'd like to find out if this stock has a good fundamental change lately.

Hi Ares
I don't own any positions on DSTI. I just wanted to post how it wasn't bothered by all the sell offs this past week.
I'm still holding PANC the one I had to sell some after hours to cover the margin call I recieved.
Hope the market is favorable next week
Have a great weekend

To answer question about support and 200 MA.
The only thing I use is 21 DMA to give me my buy and sell signals along with trend lines as the resistance. The chart system I have use red and green lines that helps me determine when to buy and sell as the stocks bars hit the 21 DMA. The chart I post will be from stockcharts I'm not able to copy the ones I use.
I'll work on posting the chart for PANC
I'll post a chart and show you.

Hi Wrangler,

Applaud. Thank you for sharing your style.
I see that PANC has MACD close to the zero line.
This would be an interesting stock to play.
If this bounces, it looks like your upper trendline would be meeting the horizontal resistance line at around 4.75.

Hi Ares
It's still to early to predetermine where stock might hit top of trendline and sometimes it might not hit top but stall in the middle and if it does sell. Count the bars from each time it has hit top and bottom it shows about 7 to 8 days between each hit and I also allow for one time going outside the trendline at support and will sell if the second day it stays below previous days low for one hour of trading that tells me it's going lower. Sometimes M&Ms will cause a fake out to try and get investors to sell before it continues its uptrend.
Study charts using the 21 DMA and you'll begin to see what I'm taking about. The charts I use is differant then stockchart.com and gives better buy and sell signals.
Hope you the best of luck next week
Goodluck trading :)

Ares

Hi Wrangler,

It's funny how you mentioned MM's doing a fake out before a stock flies.
I just recently posted in the Daytrading with Consensus thread how MM's sometimes gap down a stock to buy at a discount.
Keep in touch.

ZHNE : did as I was hoping yesterday. It formed a small gap up from previous days close. Opened @1.26 High for day @1.37 and closed @1.35 with volume of 2.3 million.
Will be watching first hour of trading to see if breakout will continue or if I should decide to sell,, I expect to see some taking off the table from the three days run it has had so far,,might get one more day run on it before pullback. I'm hoping to see it hit between 1.40 and 1.50 before profit taking.
