Euro Tech Holdings reports FY05 results (CLWT) 3.80 +0.00 : Co reports results
for the fiscal yr ended Dec 2005. Revenue fell 3.1% yr/yr to $31.3 mln. Net
income was $733,000, up 23% yoy. There are no estimates. Co says it's in the
process of shifting its emphasis from the distribution of instruments and
equipment to engineering and manufacturing activities. "We have been
experiencing a fall-off in revenues from our 'trading' activities as a
substantial number of our suppliers have been selling their products into China
directly and through other distributors besides Euro Tech....As China's
desulphurization regulations become more stringent, especially for power plants
in China that are viewed as major air polluters, Euro Tech is planning to
further diversifying its business into air pollution control."

Mr. Leung also commented that, "In the 2nd half of 2006, we plan to be more active in seeking joint ventures, acquisitions and making investments. We also plan to increase and enhance our contacts with the investment community. Equipped with new ventures and diversified activities in the coming months, Euro Tech is gradually changing its image from a trading company to a fully integrated environmental protection company that can tackle water, waste water and air pollution in China. We believe this changeover process will take time but will have substantial benefits in the long run."
